Joe Jonas is hoping to rekindle his romance with Taylor Swift

The 22-year-old singer – who allegedly ended his previous relationship with the country music star via a 27-second phone call in 2008 – is said to be desperate to prove to the blonde beauty that he’s a “changed man”.

A friend of the star told Us Weekly magazine: “He wants her back. He wants to show her he’s a changed man and would love to see what’s possible between them.

“They’re putting their past behind them. And maybe rekindling an old flame.”

However, Taylor – who has since dated Taylor Lautner and Jake Gyllenhaal – might not be too thrilled at the idea, as she has previously admitted she doubts she’ll even remember who Joe is when she eventually finds the love of her life.

She said: “You know what it’s like, when I find that person that is right for me, he’ll be wonderful. When I look at that person, I’m not even going to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18.

“I looked at the call log, it was like 27 seconds. That’s got to be a record.”

Taylor Swift takes her whole tour crew on vacation

The ‘Love Story’ singer – who is currently on her ‘Speak Now World Tour’ – has revealed it is very important to her to thank her roadies and musical team for all their hard work by taking them somewhere “beautiful and tropical” when the run of concerts ends.

Speaking on The Kyle & Jackie O Show on 2Day FM, she said: “We usually take everyone on a vacation, like everybody, every single person on the tour, band, dancers, crew.

“We usually pick somewhere beautiful and tropical … we haven’t started planning it yet because the tour is only halfway done, we do that, it’s really wonderful to take everyone on a trip.”

When on the road the 21-year-old country musician especially relies on a team of helpers who assist her backstage for her “crazy” costume changes which often take place in less than 30 seconds in between songs.

She explained: “I have three people that help me change clothes, I have to change clothes in under 30 seconds every single time.

“It’s crazy because I’m usually going from a little dress to two dresses stacked on top of each other with a ball gown on top, different shoes changes, so there’s somebody taking off my shoes the same time somebody is putting a dress over my head, the same time somebody is changing my hair.”

Taylor Swift is to receive a special accolade at the Teen Choice Awards

The ‘Love Story’ hitmaker is to be presented with the Ultimate Choice Award in recognition of her “extraordinary contributions to the entertainment industry” at the ceremony on August 7.

It has already been announced that Taylor is in the running to win six other awards, Red Carpet Hot Icon – Female, Choice Music: Female Artist, Choice Music: Female Country Artist, Choice Music: Love Song, for her single ‘Mine’, Choice Music: Break-up Song for ‘Back to December’ and Choice Music: Country Song for ‘Mean’.

Previous winners of the coveted Ultimate Choice accolade have included Reese Witherspoon, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Justin Timberlake.

Meanwhile, it has been announced that ‘Twilight Saga’ heartthrob Robert Pattinson, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, and Disney star Demi Lovato have been added to the line-up of famous faces who will make an appearance at the ceremony, which takes place at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles.

They join a host of previously-announced guests including Ashton Kutcher, Justin Bieber, Kim Cardashian, Cameron Diaz, Tyra Banks, Kellan Lutz, Chris Hemsworth and Joe Jonas.

‘The Big Bang Theory’ star Kaley Cuoco is hosting the awards, while so far Selena Gomez, OneRepublic and Jason Derulo have been announced as performers at the event.

The winners of the 66 Teen Choice Award categories are chosen online by fans aged 13-19.

Taylor Swift likes to be “surprised by love”

The 21-year-old singer – who has previously dated the likes of Jake Gyllenhaal, Joe Jonas and Taylor Lautner – revealed she doesn’t care about being in a relationship someone rich, famous or good-looking, but just wants to meet a man she can find true love with.

She explained: “There are no rules when it comes to love. I just try to let love surprise me because you never know who you’re going to fall in love with.

“You never know who’s going to come into your life – and for me, when I picture the person I want to end up with, I don’t think about what their career is, or what they look like. I picture the feeling I get when I’m with them.”

The country music star – who has written about her former loves on a number of her records – admitted she is a “hopeful person”, and is convinced she will eventually get her happy ending.

Taylor added to US InStyle magazine: “I’m really a daydreamer and a hopeful person. When it comes to ‘happily ever after,’ I always have a tendency to write a happy ending to my songs.

Taylor Swift could never date someone who hid their relationship

The 21-year-old singer – who has previously dated stars including Joe Jonas and Jake Gyllenhaal – insists she doesn’t mind being photographed with her boyfriends and finds the attention amusing.

She said: “If somebody wants to hide a relationship or has privacy issues, then we don’t have the same viewpoint. Because, for me, it’s just like, live your life.

“If people happen to take pictures then, you know, you laugh about it in the car afterward.”

The ‘Love Story’ hitmaker also hit out at celebrities who complain about losing their privacy, insisting that interest in her personal life is part of her job and said if her peers dislike the attention so much, they should pursue different careers.

The 21-year-old singer splashed out on the property for Andrea and Scott Swift in Nashville, Tennessee and is said to be visiting them there when she’s not working in Los Angeles.

Built in the 1920s, the new home boasts three bedrooms, 5,000 sq ft of land, a blue stone terrace and a huge outdoor fireplace.

A source said: “It’s an incredible house. Taylor’s been visiting her parents there and she’s so excited for them.”

Jake Gyllenhaal collects cook books

The ‘Love and Other Drugs’ actor – who recently split from singer Taylor Swift – enjoys spending time in the kitchen and is “obsessed” with recipe collections.

He said: “I’ve always loved cooking, probably because my father and other always cooked.

“I have a massive section in my library at home of beautiful old cook books. I really have a strange obsession with them.”

Though Jake collects recipe books, he prefers to come up with his own culinary creations rather than following guidelines.

He added: “If I’m making a romantic dinner. I like to go to a farmers’ market first, buy things fresh and come up with my own dish based on whatever I’ve bought.

“I grow my own vegetables at home because I love fresh food.”

The 29-year-old actor – who is currently dating 21-year-old country singer Taylor Swift – was happy to get naked for his role in movie ‘Love & Other Drugs’ because he believes the audience needed to see him without clothes to believe his relationship with co-star Anne Hathaway’s character was real.

He said: “If we were going to be as open and intimate in a love story as we could be we have to do the same thing with sex.

“When you see two people in a movie like that, particularly as an actor, and they are portraying two people in love, it’s like, how do you even unconsciously believe people are in love if they don’t want to be naked around each other.

Justin Bieber became the youngest person ever to win the Artist of the Year prize at the American Music Awards (AMAs) last night (21.11.10).

The ‘Pray’ hitmaker was the big winner of the evening, taking home four accolades including Favourite Pop/Rock Male Artist, Favourite Album and Breakthrough Artist of the Year during the ceremony at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

Accepting the Artist of the Year honour, the 16-year-old star thanked his mentor Usher and invited the ‘OMG’ singer to join him on stage.

He said: “I really was embraced by a man named Usher Raymond. It would be only right if I invited him up here to share it with me.”

Usher picked up two gongs himself, Favourite Soul/R&B Male Artist and Favourite Soul/R&B Album, while rapper Eminem walked away with statuettes for Favourite Rap/Hip-Hop Male Artist and Favourite Rap/Hip-Hop Album.

Other winners at the 38th annual ceremony included country stars Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley; British rock band Muse, R&B singer Rihanna and Colombian pop star Shakira.

Michael Buble was heard shouted “I love winning things’’ when he picked up the Favourite Adult Contemporary Artist award.

Rihanna, Katy Perry, Kid Rock and Bon Jovi, all performed at the ceremony and boy bands New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) and Backstreet Boys joined up for their first collaborative live stage effort before they kick off a joint American tour next year.

Pink – who announced last week she is pregnant with her first child – did not allow her pregnancy to slow her down putting on an energetic dance routine to perform new song ‘Raise Your Glass’.

Miley Cyrus was embarrassed about kissing actor Kevin Zegers in a new music video

The singer-and-actress found it awkward to shoot the smooching scenes with the hunk for the promo for Rock Mafia’s single ‘The Big Bang’ because the ‘Dawn of the Dead’ actor is dating someone she works with.

She told E! News: “There’s a pretty cool kissing scene in ‘The Big Bang’ which is pretty funny because Kevin is actually the boyfriend of someone that works very closely with me. So there was definitely a little awkwardness since she was on set, or whatever.”

However, Miley admitted it wasn’t all bad as she felt more comfortable filming the intimate scenes with someone she knows rather than a stranger.

She said: “I think it’s kind of cool that it’s someone that I know and that I really like.”

Apart from her embarrassment at having to kiss her friend’s boyfriend, Miley – who will turn 18 next Tuesday (23.11.10) – also spoke of her excitement at celebrating her birthday at the American Music Awards (AMAs) on Sunday (21.11.10).

The ‘Climb’ hitmaker will be joined at the event by Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Kesha and Christina Aguilera, and she is happy that many of her friends will all be in the same place for the big day.

Miley said: “For my birthday this year, I’m just gonna have everyone that I really love be able to hang out. I don’t always get to see everyone so it’s kind of cool that the AMAs are happening, so everyone will actually be in town for my birthday, which will be pretty cool.”

Jake Gyllenhaal reportedly spent £100,000 flying new love Taylor Swift to London

The ‘Brokeback Mountain’ actor – who is currently promoting his new movie ‘Love And Other Drugs’ in the British capital – flew the country music star in by private jet on Friday night (12.11.10), and the pair were said to be holed up in London’s exclusive Dorchester hotel until yesterday (14.11.10) morning.

Taylor – who has dated ‘Twilight’ actor Taylor Lautner and Disney star Joe Jonas in the past – was due to be in the city to perform at the Radio 1 Teen Awards yesterday, but jetted in early to see Jake.

An insider told The Sun newspaper: “Jake wanted some quality time with Taylor. If he hadn’t done this, they would have missed each other as he had to fly back to the US. He hired a jet which would have easily set him back £100,000.“

Rumours about the new couple have been circulating since they were spotted holding hands and looking loved-up while on a romantic walk around Brooklyn, New York, last month.

A source said at the time: “Taylor and Jake were walking around Park Slope holding hands. They looked like a couple!”

Jake – who split from actress Reese Witherspoon last December after more than two years together – has also dated stars including Natalie Portman and Kirsten Dunst in the past.

‘Twilight’ leads nominations for this year’s People’s Choice Awards.

The vampire movie franchise’s third instalment ‘Eclipse‘ dominated the award’s movie categories when they were announced yesterday (09.12.20) with eight nods including Favourite Movie, Favourite Movie Actor for stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner and Favourite Movie Actress for Kristen Stewart, among others.

The awards also honour Music and Television stars, and the nominations saw Eminem and Usher included in the Favourite Male Artist category, while Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift are all in the running for Favourite Female Artist.

Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber are both nominated for Favourite Breakout Artist, alongside B.o.B.,

Kesha and Selena Gomez and the Scene.

Upon hearing of her nomination, Selena tweeted: “Oh my gosh!!!! I am so excited you guys nominated me and The Scene for this year’s People’s Choice Award! (sic)”

TV show ‘Glee’ picks up a nomination in the Favourite TV Comedy category alongside ‘How I Met Your Mother’, ‘Modern Family’ and ‘Two and a Half Men’.

Winners of the People’s Choice Awards 2011 will be revealed during a live broadcast from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on January 5 next year.

Taylor Swift says her school bullies inspired her to become a musician

The 20-year-old singer was tormented by several classmates when her family moved from their farmhouse in Pennsylvania to a new house in the city.

The pupils would tease her and shun her offers of friendship, but ultimately Taylor believes those adolescent experiences made her more determined to pursue her music dream.

She said: “There are two ways you can with it if you are bullied. You can let it destroy you, or you can use it as fuel to drive you: to dream bigger, work harder. I wasn’t invited to parties and I look back now and I’m so thankful that I was at home playing guitar until my fingers bled.”

Taylor – who has just released her new album ‘Speak Now’ - says some of her bullies now come to her concerts and signing sessions but she no longer feels the need to confront them about what they did to her.

She added to You magazine: “I don’t think they even remember what happened. And when I see them sitting in line at my meet-and-greets wearing my T-shirts, I’m not going to walk up to them and say, ‘How could you do that?’ Because look at how life has gone. They were there for a reason, and I’m happy about it.”

Kanye West has claimed his treatment of Taylor Swift made her more famous

While the controversial rapper admitted his behaviour – when he stormed on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards during Taylor’s Best Female Video acceptance speech and ranted that Beyonce Knowles should have won – was unacceptable, he claimed it helped make the country singer even more popular.

He said: “I feel like when Taylor was getting all those magazine covers, she was all good then.

“I feel completely empathetic and sympathise with that moment of her feeling bad, that spawned her to have one million magazine covers and be the most popular artist in the world, but in that moment of her feeling bad, I do feel bad about being the cause of that.”

Although the ‘Stronger’ hitmaker apologised to the 20-year-old songstress, he claimed interruptions at awards shows happen all the time.

Speaking on US radio show ‘Mojo in the Morning’ he said: “When I talked to Taylor I asked her, ‘What do you feel?’…and I said we know I was rude, I’m sorry, I cut you off. Awards shows play music…they cut people off all the time.’”

The 33-year-old star – who took an extended break from music after the incident – revealed he now hopes to move on.

He explained: “Personally, I’m better than I’ve ever been. I’m patching up my public image and where I am as an artist and where people perceive me.”

Rick Fox has become the seventh contestant to be eliminated from ‘Dancing With The Stars’

The retired basketball player and his professional partner Cheryl Burke were eliminated last night (02.11.10) despite gaining 24 points, their highest score in the competition for their quickstep on Monday’s (01.11.10) special 200th episode.

A visibly disappointed Rick said: “We were the couple going home. It’s a lot of work put in; you don’t visualise going home, you visualise being here every week. But it’s now something that both Cheryl and I are processing for the first time.

“Not having to go to the studio to rehearse tomorrow? That’s a hard pill to swallow.”

Despite his elimination, Rick admitted he had loved the experience saying it changed his life.

He explained: “It’s been a transformational journey for me, it’s been amazing. My relationship has transformed with my girlfriend and my daughter.”

Elsewhere, poorly-performing couples Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas, and Kurt Warner and partner Anna Trebunskaya were saved for yet another week, kept afloat by viewer votes – which are combined with the judges’ scores to produce the final results.

Bristol said: “I’m relieved and shocked. Can’t believe we made it to another week, but I’m thankful for the fans that voted for us.”

The results show featured musical performances by country music star Taylor Swift and singer Rod Stewart.

The eighth round of `Dancing With The Stars’ will take place next Monday (08.11.10).
