Keira Knightley always helps her friends in crisis
The 25-year-old actress again teamed with her ‘Pride and Prejudice’ co-star Carey Mulligan on their latest movie ‘Never Let Me Go’ and her pal was delighted when she signed up for the film because they get along so well.
Carey – who split from boyfriend Shia LaBeouf earlier this year- said: “I was so happy when she came on to the film. We met playing sisters and we are like family to each other, so that bond was there to recreate on the film.
“Keira is the friend I call when I’m in trouble or suffering from a broken heart. She’ll meet me in the bar with a mojito and be there for me.”
Carey also insisted her friend is not as reserved as she is perceived to be.
She added: “She reserves herself for the people she cares about but when she comes to my birthday parties – and she’s never missed one since we met – she’s the first to get up and dance and the last to leave.”

Selena Gomez Talks About Dating And Relationships
by cyan on Dec.28, 2010, under Dating, Singer
Selena Gomez has a crush on Shia LaBeouf.
The singer-and-actress isn’t attracted to a specific type of guy but has confessed she finds the ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’ star very sexy.
She said: “I don’t have a perfect boy. I guess they need to be honest and they need to be some who can really be myself around. Although, if they look identical to Shia LaBeouf that would be great! You should be out having fun when you’re younger, not getting caught up in a committed relationship.”
Selena – who began wearing a purity ring when she was 12 years old – has also revealed she doesn’t actually like going on dates.
The 18-year-old star – who shot to fame when she appeared in hit Disney show ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ – added: “I don’t actually like dates. I get awkward as I never know what to do. I still get butterflies and wobbly legs around a boy I like. But the best thing is to be very open and don’t shut yourself off. Enjoy being young.”

Shia LaBeouf — “dropped the ball on a legacy”…?
by Abbey on Sep.29, 2010, under Actress, Director, Entertainment, Films
Shia LaBeouf has blasted his film ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ for “dropping the ball”
The actor felt the film – the fourth instalment in the adventures of the titular archaeologist, directed by Hollywood legend Steven Spielberg and also starring Harrison Ford – didn’t live up to the legacy of the previous movies.
Despite the film’s huge box office success – it took over £500 million – Shia was worried his current project ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’, the sequel to ‘Wall Street’, could suffer the same critical mauling.
He told The Sun newspaper: “I had already been involved in a movie where I felt we had dropped the ball on a legacy, and I was part of it.
“And then you jump into a situation with heavier hitters, just a stronger legacy. You drop the ball twice and it’s over for you.
“In ‘Indiana Jones…’ I felt sort of pigeon-holed. I didn’t have enough meat to chew on, and I was put there for reasons.
“It was like we were trying to enforce innocence on an audience that was not willing. You cannot enforce this.”
Shia is fast becoming one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actors, but he is determined not to get complacent in his film choices and performances like some other stars.
He added: “I am not where I want to be at. And I hope I will never go to the (Robert) De Niro stage where I’ve gotten there and I am comfortable. Because that’s the death of an actor.”

Shia LaBeouf (born June 11, 1986) is an American actor, voice actor, and comedian. he began his comedy career when he was 10 years old, and then launched his acting career in 1998 at the age of 12. Shia became known among younger audiences for his part in the Disney Channel series Even Stevens, also appearing in three Disney TV movies. In 2003, LaBeouf made his theatrical film debut in Holes, also appearing in the lead role in The Battle of Shaker Heights that same year.
He made his transition into more mature roles in 2005, with The Greatest Game Ever Played. In 2007, he starred as the leads in Disturbia and Transformers, and the following year he appeared in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull as Indiana’s son. In 2009, he reprised his role as Sam Witwicky in the Transformers sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and appeared in New York, I Love You. LaBeouf’s upcoming films include the lead roles in The Associate, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and Transformers 3. In 2004, Shia made his directorial debut by directing “Lets Love Hate” with Lorenzo Eduardo. He also directed Cage’s music video for the single “I Never Knew You”.
Prior to his acting career,Shia’s career as a comedian originated when he would “create things, story lines and fictitious tales” during his childhood; he practiced stand-up comedy around his neighborhood as an “escape” from a hostile environment. At the age of ten, he began performing stand-up and “talking dirty” at comedy clubs, describing his appeal as having “disgustingly dirty” material and a “50-year-old mouth on the 10-year-old kid”.
Shia, who described himself as an “insult comic”, said that his comic material included talking about his first erection and cursing. Shia commented on his stand-up comedy career, “I just knew that money was a solution to whatever the hell was going on in my household. With money, I and my family would have had more options. So I went after a job that I thought I could make the most money for a 10-year-old or an 11-year-old boy.”‘
He subsequently found agent Teresa Dahlquist, who is his agent as of June 2008, through the Yellow Pages. He was taken on after doing his stand-up act for her and pretending to be his own manager, promoting himself in the third person. LaBeouf has said that he initially became an actor because his family was broke, not because he wanted to pursue an acting career.

by cyan on Jun.20, 2010, under Actor, Family, Love
Shia LaBeouf has received the stamp of approval from Carey Mulligan’s parents.
The ‘Transformers’ actor – who met the British star when the pair filmed ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’ – was reportedly keen to prove to his girlfriend’s parents that he is the “real deal” on a recent trip to the 25-year-old actress’s London home.
An insider revealed: “Her parents were worried that Shia was just another Hollywood player who would hurt Carey.
“Shia did his best to prove he’s the real deal.”
In a bid to impress, the 23-year-old star – who previously dated model China Brezner –lavished gifts upon his girlfriend’s parents, giving a Hermes scarf to her mother, Nano, and her father, Stephen, receiving an iPad.
The source added to National Enquirer magazine: “They thought it was sweet, and he enjoyed spoiling them a bit.” In the past, Shia has made no secret of how much Carey means to him and admits he is astonished by her talent.
He explained: “I never really had anything in my life that was off-limits but with this, just out of respect, I just don’t want to f**k around.
“She’s an unbelievably thought-provoking actress, the most talented actress I’ve ever met in my life, by leaps and bounds.
“Neither one of us are fame whores. It works out. It’s not like we’re the premiere couple; we’re not the red carpet king and queen.”

by Alice on Nov.22, 2009, under Actor, Actress

The ‘Elf’ actor and comedian topped the annual list by Forbes magazine, which calculated how much moviemakers earn per dollar paid to their lead actor.
After the last couple of funnyman Will’s films – ‘Semi-Pro’ and ‘Land of the Lost’ – bombed at the box office, his rate of return has dropped to $3.29 for every dollar of Will’s fee.
This contrasts greatly with the other end of the scale, which saw Shia LaBeouf named as the Best Actor for the Buck in August, earning studios an average of $160 for every dollar he was paid.
Behind Will on the Most Overpaid list was British actor Ewan McGregor, while Tom Cruise, Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson all made the top ten.
However, Will could turn his box office figures around as he recently revealed he wants to make a sequel to ‘Anchorman’, one of his most successful films to date, about a 1970s newsreader.
The 42-year-old star said: “Yeah we’re trying to figure out when and how we should do that. We’re going to meet with all the guys and see if we can actually pull this off.
“With Steve Carrell and Paul Rudd, they’re in different places with their careers it’s a lot harder to get us all together.”
Although he did add: “And believe me, I’m not taking a pay cut, no way, absolutely not!”

Forbes magazine’s top ten Most Overpaid Stars:
1. Will Ferrell
2. Ewan McGregor
3. Billy Bob Thornton
4. Eddie Murphy
5. Ice Cube
6. Tom Cruise
7. Drew Barrymore
8. Leonardo DiCaprio
9. Samuel L. Jackson
