The ‘Baby’ hitmaker – who confirmed in March he was dating the 19-year-old star – admits he was surprised she agreed to date him because of how good looking she is.

Asked how he managed to get with her on the ‘Mike Missanelli Show’ on Fanatic FM in the US, he joked: “I was pretty shocked myself. She’s very beautiful. We started as friends like two years ago, so we’ve been friends for a long time, so that’s pretty much kind of how it started.”

However, the 17-year-old heartthrob reveals their friendly relationship started unusually. He added: “I had a girlfriend when Selena was my friend. I think we should be talking about sports.”

In August it was reported Selena had become angry with Justin after he begun hanging around with bad boy friends including Sean Kingston – who was a former child burglar – and ex-convict Lil Wayne. The ‘Baby’ hitmaker – who has been dating singer and actress Selena Gomez since earlier this year – admitted he opts for girls’ clothing because it tends to fit him better than pieces designed for men.

He said: “I’ve worn women’s jeans before because they fit me. It’s not a trend; it’s just, whatever works, works.”

However, the 17-year-old hitmaker doesn’t look set to be borrowing anything from Selena’s wardrobe in the near future, as he admitted while the relationship is going “pretty well” the couple won’t be getting married “any time soon”.

Asked if nuptials are on the horizon, Justin told Life and Style magazine: “I don’t know. I feel like if it happens, it happens. Right now I’m just focusing on my music, and I feel like it’s going pretty well.

The 19-year-old singer-and-actress– who is dating teenage singing sensation Justin Bieber – admits she once let a boyfriend’s likes and dislikes influence the way she behaved, and after witnessing how happy her loved ones were when the romance ended, she insists she will always be herself from now on.

She said: “I wasn’t myself for a year. I think that was really damaging. I felt like it was me who was always trying to be perfect for him.

“Everyone around me hated him but I didn’t listen. I think I had to go through it because now I’m the strongest I’ve been.

“I dare someone to try and change me again.”

Selena admits she “lost herself” in the relationship and lost her sense of fun until the romance was over.

She explained in an interview with Top of the Pops magazine: “I always dressed nice. I don’t think he ever saw me in sweatpants – and I love sweatpants.

The Disney actress – who has been dating the ‘Baby’ hitmaker since early this year – is said to have split from the 17-year-old singing sensation over concerns about his new-found bad boy pals.

In recent weeks, Justin has been hanging around with former child burglar turned rapper Sean Kingston, ex-convict Lil Wayne, and has collaborated on a new track with Chris Brown, who put his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in hospital after attacking her in 2009.

The 18-year-old actress and singer – who is dating teen heartthrob Justin Bieber –is still conscious of her body as she grows into womanhood.

When asked if she feels under pressure to be sexy as she grows up, Selena told Time magazine: “Now that I am getting older I’m becoming a woman, and I want to explore that side of myself – but I still get awkward if I’m in a bikini so I don’t think I’ll be doing anything too drastic anytime soon.”

Selena Gomez blames her hospitalisation on eating too much junk food

The actress-and-singer – who sought medical attention on Friday (10.06.11) when she fell ill with nausea and a severe headache – has blamed the fact she was “malnourished” on her bingeing on chocolate bars and fatty treats which were no good for her.

She told Texas radio station Mix 96.5: “I love M&Ms, Kit Kats, Snickers and Goobers at the movies. I do eat, the problem is I don’t eat right. I love everything that’s possibly not good for me.”

The ‘Who Says’ hitmaker said her mother, Mandy, is now looking after her healthy eating and she is going to have to change a lifetime’s worth of habits to cut down on eating too many diary-based treats.

She added: “Mom’s definitely shoving vitamins down my mouth and following me around. But at the same time, I was a stubborn kid, so I got to eat whatever I wanted.

“I have to have creamed spinach or cheese on my broccoli. I have to have something that makes it not healthy.”

Mandy is also making sure her daughter gets some much-needed rest and recovers properly.

Selena Gomez was admitted to hospital after suffering from “malnourishment”

Justin Bieber has introduced Selena Gomez to his extended family.

The 17-year-old Canadian singer and his 18-year-old girlfriend were joined at the Swiss Chalet restaurant in his home town on Stratford, Ontario yesterday (01.06.11) by his cousins and aunt and uncle, where onlookers described them as “friendly and happy”.

One source said: “Justin and Selena had lunch with Justin’s cousins and his aunt and uncle. They were really sweet and make an adorable couple.

“They looked happy and in love. They acted just like everyday people, very down-to-earth. Justin is part of the community, he’s one of us and is as friendly as can be.”

Earlier in the day, Selena – who spend last weekend introducing her boyfriend to her family in Texas – spent time with Justin’s mother Patti Malette and grandparents at local eatery Madelyn’s Diner while the ‘Baby’ hitmaker worked out at a nearby gym.

Waitress Glynnie McCauley told HollywoodLife.com: “Selena enjoyed our home-made comfort food with Justin’s mom and grandparents. Justin’s stepmom and his stepmom’s daughter Amanda also joined them.

“They all got along wonderfully. Selena sat next to Justin’s grandmother and across from Justin’s mom. They all seemed really happy. Selena was so nice. She is super sweet and even posed with one of the waitresses for a photo.”

It seems Justin has been taking the time to show Selena all of his favourite hang-outs in Stratford.

On Tuesday (31.05.11) evening, the couple took a romantic stroll along the Stratford Upon Avon river, and the pair couldn’t hide their affection for one another.

Local resident Taylor Ramsey said: “They looked completely in love with each other.

Writing on her twitter page, Pink said: “If there are any animal activists around Malibu- at Leo Cabrillo State Beach, there are horses being painted for a stupid music video. Shame.

“Artists should be more aware and responsible for their actions.

“whether u r a fan of mine or whom EVER’S, i won’t stop speaking out about animal cruelty.i’ve taken responsibility in the past,so should she.(sic)”

However, a representative for Selena’s record company has insisted no animals were harmed during the filming of the video.

The singer’s spokesperson said in a statement to People magazine: “It was important to the Production Company, Record Label and Ms. Gomez that no animals were harmed and all proper precautions were taken.

“A non toxic, vegetable based powder paint was applied via an airbrush and removed with water. An official from the Humane Society was on set supervising.”

The 18-year-old singer-and-actress, who has been the target of an online hate campaign since images were released of her kissing the pop star last month, has admitted the harsh words written about her on websites such as twitter have been difficult to cope with.

She said: “It’s hard. It hurts, it really does. I don’t feel like I’m doing anything wrong. I’ve been best friends with him for a very long time. It does hurt my feelings a lot but I try not to focus on it. I have a strong family and great fans.”

Justin Bieber was hospitalised with breathing difficulties on Wednesday (12.01.11)

The 16-year-old singing sensation was taken to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California after suffering an allergic reaction while shooting a guest appearance in US TV drama series ‘CSI’, but was discharged just 50 minutes later.

His representative said: “He is fine. He had a mild allergic reaction while they were wrapping up on the set of ‘CSI.’ His doctor met him at the hospital to make sure everything was OK. He was released within the hour after his doctor declared him fine. He is back on set working. All is well.”

Despite his medical emergency, Justin made no mention of his hospital visit when updating fans about his day on twitter.

After the account was briefly taken hostage at around 10:30AM EST, the hacker posted an attack at a Bieber fan, then claimed property over the hacking job by posting a video to YouTube, cataloging the hacking of Gomez’s Facebook account.

The Disney actress and singer has been strongly rumoured to be dating teen heartthrob Justin after they were pictured together on a tourbus in Florida last month and, more recently, in the Caribbean.

One picture showed what appeared to be Selena, 18, wrapped in a towel with Justin, 16, kissing her on the cheek.

Angry fans of ‘Baby’ singer Justin have now taking to twitter to threaten his rumoured girlfriend on twitter.

Another angry fan wrote: “If you are the Girlfriend of Justin I will Kill you I HATE YOU :@ !!!(sic)”

Yet another vitriolic message aimed at Selena read: “w***e cancer w***e. Iike i’m kill myself cuz i saw you and Justin kissing well thankyou Selena thankyou now i’m killing myself (sic).”

It is not known at present if Selena has sought any protection from the threats or if she has sought to get the people responsible for the tweets banned from the social networking site. She and Justin have also previously denied they are in a relationship together.

Other fans of Justin – who call themselves Beliebers – have taken a more mild approach and wished the possible couple well, however, with one posting: “If you really are a BELIEBER, no matter what Justin Bieber do, you’ll support him until the end. That’s what you call a fan (sic).”

Another poster wrote: “Selena Gomez is way too awesome for Justin Bieber.”

Last year reality TV star Kim Kardashian was also subjected to a similar negative backlash after she posed for racy photos with Justin.
