Katy Perry has been named the world’s hottest woman.

The ‘I Kissed A Girl’ hitmaker – who is engaged to Russell Brand – topped the annual Maxim Hot 100 list for being “sexy and talented”, narrowly beating Victoria’s Secret model Brooklyn Decker and ‘Avatar’ actress Zoe Saldana into second and third place respectively.

Explaining her top ranking, the US men’s magazine said of Katy: “She’s the best friend you suddenly realize you’ve loved your whole life. The rad chick who taught you to skateboard and whistle and also looks unbelievable in a bikini.”

Making up the rest of the top five were ‘Gossip Girl’ star Blake Lively, and ‘Transformers’ beauty Megan Fox, while ‘Russian Roulette’ singer Rihanna, George Clooney’s girlfriend Elizabetta Canalis, actress Olivia Munn, socialite Kim Kardashian and model Marisa Miller made up the rest of the top 10.

Last year’s Maxim Hot 100 number one Olivia Wilde scraped in at number 20, while notable absentees included Beyonce Knowles and Lady Gaga.

The “Unfaithful” hit maker Rihanna will kick off the “Last Girl on Earth” tour on July 2 in Seattle, Washington.

The “Russian Roulette” singer, who is on “American Idol” this week, explained that performing on the FOX show was worth the trouble.

“It’s my first time performing on ‘Idol’ and it’s a little nerve-wrecking because we’re in the middle of our tour rehearsals and it’s a really time-demanding experience and we just had to fit this in there.”

ET’s Kevin Frazier joined Rihanna exclusively at “American Idol” as she rehearsed for her live performance.

She also explained the tour title to Kevin and said “We just came up with what we’re going to do right here, right now. I like to think about myself as the last girl on Earth because sometimes people make decisions based on the outlook of others and, you know, to me, my life is my life. It’s my world, and I’m going to live it the way I want to. That’s how I think about everything, that way I’m focused on me, and my work. It’s a really narrow space, a focus.”

Rihanna is very exited for her song “Rude Boy” hitting No.1, and said “I can’t believe ‘Rude Boy’ of all songs was the biggest song on this album, and that’s the one that I really wrote the most on.”

Rihanna has asked Matt Kemp to move in with her.

The ‘Russian Roulette’ singer delighted the 25-year-old Los Angeles Dodgers baseball star when she suggested he came to live in her Hollywood mansion, just months after they started dating.

A source said: “Matt is very happy to be moving in with Rihanna.

“He knew it was only a matter of time before Rihanna moved him in. He wants to make her happy.

“He had boxes of his things brought over in mid-March. He’s training in Arizona now, but when he’s back he’ll be at her place.”

However, Matt is said to be being cautious about the move and is not currently planning to put his own Los Angeles property on the market.

The insider told America’s Star magazine: “He’s keeping his house, to see how things go. But they are so in love.”

Rihanna and Matt – who were first romantically linked in January after they holidayed together in Mexico – have always played down their relationship and claimed they are “just friends”.

However, the sportsman recently introduced the 22-year-old singer to his family when she attended an Ante Up for Autism charity fundraiser he was involved with.

The pop star is working alongside ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ actor Justin Chambers in asking potential bone marrow donors to come forward and help save the life of the Yale Law School graduate.

He said: “I am deeply touched by their plea for donors, not just for me, but for others as well. Their voices are so powerful and it encourages me how they used their influence to raise awareness about this important issue. That was incredible.”

She said: “It was one of the first songs I did for the album and it is one of the most emotional.”

Rihanna, 21, has also revealed she was desperate to get back into the recording studio after the assault, so she could concentrate on her career rather than what had happened to her.

The pop beauty explained: “When I was given time off in March it was a little crazy. Being at home was driving me mad.

“I couldn’t go anywhere. It was, like, ‘Look at the poor victim!’ So I called my label and said, ‘I’m ready.’ ”

The ‘Russian Roulette’ singer also recorded some of the LP, entitled ‘Rated R’, in London and admits she loves the UK capital.

Rihanna – who releases the album on November 26 – said: “We made a lot of the album in London. We took two big trips there and spent some time just figuring out the record.

“London is one of my favourite cities, it’s where I get most of my creative energy.”

Chris attacked Rihanna in his car as they left a pre-Grammy Awards party in February, repeatedly punching her in the face and biting her arms.

He pleaded guilty to assault and in August was sentenced to six months of community service, 12 months of domestic violence counselling and five years probation.
