Film producer David let slip in a recent interview that the couple are lining up the eccentric singer to play an important role in the life of their two-month-old son, who was born on Christmas Day (25.12.10) via a surrogate mother.

When asked about rumours they would choose Gaga by Canadian website macleans.ca, he replied: “We haven’t publicly confirmed that yet but your sources are very good!

“I prefer not to comment on it because we are going to make a statement about Godparents later on.”

Elton and Gaga struck up a friendship after performing together at the Grammy Awards in 2010, and David further praised the singer – who composed her latest track ‘Born This Way’ about social inclusion and has called it a “gay anthem” – for her broad-mindedness and personal connection to her fans.

He said: “She’s all about inclusiveness and tolerance. She believes that you can be whoever you want to be and that we don’t have to live in a world of conformity and that we can all benefit from individuality.

“That’s the best message in the world. The freedom to be who you are, do what you want and love who you want to love.”

David, 48, also explained how this message is what he feels makes Gaga an ideal role model for Zachary.

He added: “Elton and I don’t talk about what we hope Zachary grows up to be — musician, doctor or whatever. We just hope he grows up to be happy and that he’s able to do what he wants to do in life and has the freedom to take whatever path.”

David is a Godparent himself, to Elizabeth Hurley’s eight-year-old son Damian, while Elton is Godfather to Victoria and David Beckham’s eldest two sons, Brooklyn, 11 and eight-year-old Romeo.

Victoria Beckham’s pregnancy has helped cure her acne

The former Spice Girls singer-turned-fashion designer – who has experienced skin problems since being a teenager – is delighted by the change in her appearance since falling pregnant with her fourth child.

A source close to the 36-year-old star – who is due to give birth in the summer – said: “Victoria has tried everything under the sun for her skin, yet nothing has worked as well as getting pregnant with her fourth baby. The hormones really suit her and she’s said this pregnancy has cleared up her spots!

“She has a pretty flush to her cheeks that wasn’t there before. It’s like a natural blusher. The texture of her skin is much smoother and any open pores seem to have closed up. She’s been drinking lots of water and eating fruit like kiwis and strawberries.”

As well as Victoria – who already has three sons, Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight, and five-year-old Cruz – being pleased with her skin, soccer star husband David Beckham, 35, thinks she is looking better than ever.

David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly expecting a baby girl

The couple – who have three sons, Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight, and five-year-old Cruz – are believed to have found out after a 16-week scan the private Rivers Hospital in Hertfordshire, southern England, that they will be adding a healthy baby girl to their brood this summer.

A friend of the pair told The Sun newspaper: “David and Victoria are over the moon. This will be their last child and to be told they are having a girl is the icing on the cake for the Beckham clan.

“Victoria is 36 and David is thinking about life after retirement. For them, with a sister for their boys – who are growing up fast – this is the perfect family. All their dreams have come true. They couldn’t have wished for more.”

Victoria has made no secret of her desire to have a little girl in the past, saying she would love someone to do girly activities with.

She explained: “I can imagine painting her nails, putting on make-up and choosing clothes with her.

“Everyone keeps asking if I’d like a little girl and I think, if I’m lucky enough to have another baby, that would be great.”

Victoria Beckham is craving marmalade

The singer-turned-fashion designer – who is pregnant with her fourth child with husband David Beckham – has developed a hunger for the sweet orange preserve, accompanied by cups of English breakfast tea.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “Victoria is having a lot of tea and toast with lashings of marmalade. She can’t get enough of the stuff.

“Mostly she’s been having it on toast, accompanied by lots of cups of tea.”

The 36-year-old star suffered from bad morning sickness whilst pregnant with her first three children, Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight, and Cruz, five, but this time round she is not feeling so ill.

The source added: “She’s not having morning sickness like she has done before.”

The former Spice Girl is around four months pregnant, with the baby due in the summer.

Earlier this month, Victoria tweeted her excitement about the impending new arrival, saying she and David were “very excited”.

David and Victoria Beckham have enrolled their three sons into an English private school

The soccer player and his fashion designer wife decided to enter Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight, and five-year-old Cruz into classes at the school near their ‘Beckingham Palace’ home in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire.

The family are leaving their Los Angeles home for three months so Victoria can prepare for London Fashion Week in February and ahead of David’s potential loan deal to English team Tottenham Hotspur.

The school fees will cost the couple anything from £3,000 to over £5,000 a term and the three boys are set to arrive tomorrow (06.01.11).

A source told The Sun newspaper: “All the staff are talking about it – everyone in the school knows. All three boys are coming. Everyone is looking forward to seeing them.”

The 35-year-old sportsman is currently trying to negotiate a three-month loan move to Tottenham Hotspur, who are based in London, from his regular club Los Angeles Galaxy.

The source added: “The family’s stay in England doesn’t mean David has signed for Tottenham.

“It could be he won’t even sign for another club during his break from Los Angeles Galaxy.”

David Beckham has got a new tattoo

The 35-year-old soccer ace – who already has around 20 etchings – got the inking on his chest before flying to the UK to receive a Lifetime Achievement honour at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards last night (19.12.10).

The hunky sportsman posted a photo on his Facebook page of himself bare-chested and getting the tattoo in Los Angeles, and explained the intricate body art took six hours to complete by tattooist to the stars Mark Mahoney.

David wrote: “I want to let you all in on something. Just had a new tattoo done by the legendary Mark Mahoney. Took six hours!”

The Los Angeles Galaxy player – who attended the sports ceremony in Birmingham with his wife Victoria and their three sons, Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight, and five-year-old Cruz – was presented with his award by Manchester United soccer legend Sir Bobby Charlton, 73.

After receiving a three-minute-long standing ovation, David – who captained England, and won soccer championships with Manchester United and Real Madrid – dedicated his prize to his wife and children, saying: “Not only has she given me three amazing boys but she’s truly an inspiration for me every day. So Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, thank you.”

Victoria – who cried in the audience as her husband accepted his statuette – described the reception as “breathtaking” and spoke of her pride for David and their sons.

Writing on twitter, she said: “Words can’t express how proud I am of David. A truly wonderful and very emotional evening. I’m so proud of my little men too!!!

“Thank u all so much for your kind words to David! The reception tonight was breath taking and I am so, so proud of him!!

Victoria Beckham is helping her friend Eva Longoria get over her split from husband Tony Parker and is organising a girls’ night out for the actress.

The former Spice Girls singer – who was known as ‘Posh Spice’ during her time in the girl group – is devastated for her close pal following the ‘Desperate Housewives’ actress’ announcement last week she is separating from the basketball player.

The 36-year-old star is determined to bring a smile back to Eva’s face and is organising a girls-only night out for her.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “Victoria has rounded all the girl troops in their inner clique so they can have some girly time and relax. Posh has given her some sexy VB dresses to cheer her up and is planning a night out for Eva with all their celeb friends.”

Victoria has also invited the 35-year-old actress to her Los Angeles home to spend Thanksgiving Day (25.11.10) with her and her family – husband David Beckham and sons Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight, and five-year-old Cruz.

The source added: “Victoria has asked her over for dinner and wine to cheer her up.”

Victoria and David struck up a close friendship with Eva and Tony when they first moved to Los Angeles in 2007. The former couple helped the British stars settle into Hollywood.

The screen star filed papers to dissolve her three-year marriage last Wednesday (17.11.10), citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the break-up.

The Jonas Brothers have invited David Beckham’s three sons to appear in their new video.

Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz met the squeaky clean pop stars at a concert in Los Angeles last Saturday (15.05.10) after the boys watched their live show from a balcony with parents David and Victoria.

A source said: “Kevin, Joe and Nick were really pleased to meet the Beckhams and they invited the children to be part of their new video.”

The trio will be filming the clip for the latest single next week in Malibu, and the offer thrilled Cruz and Romeo – though 11-year-old Brooklyn was less impressed.

The sources added to The Sun newspaper: “The younger ones were really excited about it but Brooklyn decided to play it a bit cooler.”

The Jonas Brothers would certainly be a positive influence on the growing Beckham boys – the band famously vowed they would remain virgins until they were married.

David and Victoria are very protective of their boys and have deliberately kept them out of the limelight as much as possible, so it is not yet known if they will let Cruz, five, Romeo, seven, and Brooklyn to appear in the promo.

The singer-turned-fashion designer – who has three sons with her soccer star husband David Beckham – hopes to fall pregnant with her first daughter later this year after the soccer World Cup in South Africa.

The 35-year-old star is thought to have become increasingly broody since her younger sister Louise has announced she is expecting her fourth child.

A source close to the family told The Sun newspaper: “Louise has just told everyone she is expecting and Vic has immediately become broody. She and David have always wanted a girl. He’d love more kids so it’s great news.”

Victoria’s boys – Brooklyn, ten, Romeo, seven, and four-year-old Cruz – are already close in age to Louise’s own children and Victoria is believed to be keen to keep this pattern up.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed the couple have donated almost £1 million over the past five years to help disadvantaged children.

Since 2005, the Victoria and David Beckham Children’s Charity – which is run by Victoria’s Jackie – has handed over £913,269 to disabled youngsters.

However, donations to the cause fell dramatically from £102,209 in 2008 to £11,917 last year.

Because of the cash shortage, the charity had to cut back spending from £335,502 to £32,474.

In the 12 months before April 2009, the couple still donated to 12 charities through their fund.

These included the Aids Mobility Centre – who received a £2,487 donation to help with their work providing specialist wheelchairs.

The supermodel – who is a regular fixture in ‘Best Dressed’ polls – is astonished how much seven-year-old Lila Grace already knows about fashion and is happy to listen to her wardrobe suggestions.

She told Company magazine: “Lila’s already got a great handbag collection! She’s got a mirrored Fendi bag and she’ll say things like, ‘I’m not going to wear that anymore’.

“She knows what she likes and I can’t force her to wear anything she doesn’t want to, which is annoying sometimes. She loves clothes. She’s got really good style, as well.

“I rarely go shopping without her now. She tells me what she doesn’t like or she’ll say ‘Mummy, you look nice,’ or ‘That dress is amazing!’ She’s got it.”

Victoria Beckham’s seven-year-old son Romeo loves helping her out with her fashion range.

A telephone call was reportedly made from the ‘Everyday’ singer’s home to emergency services in the early hours of Sunday morning because of a medical problem with one of his four children.

Because of a severe snowstorm, a sports utility vehicle (SUV) was rushed to the house in New Jersey instead of an ambulance and the youngster was taken to the nearby Riverview Medical Center in Redbank.

Gossip website TMZ reported: “A call was placed from Bon Jovi’s home at around 2:20 AM.”

The son – either Jesse, 14, Jacob, seven or five-year-old Romeo – was released a few hours later.

The incident was reportedly not serious, but the reasons behind the emergency dash remain unclear.

Police have refused to confirm which of Jon’s sons had been taken ill.

Earlier this year, the rocker celebrated his 20th wedding anniversary to his childhood sweetheart, Dorothea Hurley.

He said: “Best investment I ever made. Trust me she is the best. I am very happy.”

The couple also have a daughter Stephanie, 16.

The soccer star was left devastated by the loss of Joseph West earlier this week and admits he was shocked by the news, even though the 83 year old had been ill for several months.

He said: “Of course, any family thing like this is tough. My granddad was not well for quite a few months but it’s something that, when it happens, nothing can prepare you for it.

“Finding out he had passed away was obviously upsetting because I was so close to him. He would call me after each game, every training session and everything that happened which involved me.”

The Los Angeles Galaxy player was in South Africa when he learned of the sad news but opted to stay and help with England’s bid to host the 2018 soccer World Cup rather than return to the UK because it was what his granddad would have wanted.

David – who has sons Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, seven and four-year-old Cruz with wife Victoria Beckham – added: “Me being out here was something which my granddad was proud of me being a part of.

“If I had decided to come back home, I know what he would have said to me, which I can’t repeat. He was a strong person.

“Your families come together at times like this but he would not have wanted me to have upped and left and gone home.

“I will be there for the funeral though, without a doubt.”

David’s family – including his mother Sandra, Joe’s daughter – have urged him to stay in Cape Town for the time being to fulfil his commitments to the bid.

A friend said: “David is absolutely devastated. He was so close to Joe, who was his mentor.

“He’d only just got off the plane when he heard the news. His family are urging him to stick to his work commitments and leave at the end of the week, but there is no way that David wants to miss Joe’s funeral. If he has to fly home, then so be it.”

David was extremely close to his grandfather – who had been stricken with a serious illness in August – and often cited him as his sporting inspiration.

David’s eldest son Brooklyn has the middle name Joseph in honour of Joe.

Youngsters Rocco Ritchie, nine, and Cruz Beckham, four, are tipped to have the most earning power in a new report which assessed the estimated worth of today’s celebrity children in 20 years time.

Rocco, son of the ‘Celebration’ singer and film director Guy Ritchie, topped the four categories in the report – star quality, likely inheritance, talent and love of the camera – getting ratings of ten out of ten for each.

The report also estimated Rocco to be worth £376 million before he reaches 30.

Celebrity expert Mark Frith said: “Rocco will earn a fortune from his mother and a fair bit from dad. But it’s the other three rankings that power him to the number one place.”

Cruz – whose mother is former Spice Girl turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham – beat siblings Romeo, seven, and Brooklyn, ten, to second place in the list.

Both Rocco and Cruz scored highly because they have been spotted dancing at their mother’s concerts.

None of Rocco’s other siblings – sister Lourdes and adopted brother and sister David and Mercy – featured on the list.

British royals, Princes William and Harry, came ninth and tenth on the list – compiled by Cartoon Network – with estimated fortunes of just under £200 million each, but were both embarrassingly awarded zero out of ten for showbiz talent.

Brooklyn Beckham – the star’s eldest child with husband David Beckham – visited poverty-stricken state Kentucky with Save The Children after learning about the state at his exclusive school in Los Angeles.

The 10-year-old youngster played soccer with children at Manchester Elementary School and presented them with shoes and backpacks, before joining in with an after-school reading group.

He and Victoria then went to read with children at nearby Big Creek Elementary school.

Victoria said: “I’m pleased Brooklyn is learning that by helping and joining other children he can play a role in making his generation the greatest yet.

“Seeing Save the Children’s innovative programmes in action, I know that we can begin to reverse the childhood poverty crisis.”

As one of the poorest counties in America, Clay County has high illiteracy rates and obesity in children is a massive problem.

She added: “What I saw in Clay County was the hope and promise inherent in every child.

“That’s why we have to make sure every single child has a fair and equal start in life.”

The former Spice Girls star was said to be “thrilled” when Brooklyn said he wanted to accompany her on the charity visit.

A source said: “She thinks it will help Brooklyn keep his feet on the ground.”

The soccer star, 34, has been based in Los Angeles since joining LA Galaxy in 2007, and wants to stay in America when he quits the sport because the couple and their sons Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, seven, and four-year-old Cruz are able to lead a relatively anonymous life in the US.

He said: “We have a normal life. I can see us living here for a few years.”

Singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria recently admitted she had found their previous home, Spain, “tricky”, and said living in America made her feel “equal” to David.

She said: “I found Spain a little tricky. But from the minute we landed at the airport, we were equal. America is equal, it doesn’t matter whether you are a man or a woman. In Spain it’s more difficult for women.”

A source told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “Kate has asked her people to contact Victoria’s management.

“She wanted to know which real estate agents Victoria used and wants to go with the same people.

Meanwhile, Victoria’s husband David has spoken about how much he hates being apart from his family, saying it will “kill” him to move to Italy in January.

A source said: “What can you possibly buy the multi-millionaire, superstar footballer who has absolutely everything?

“In the case of David Beckham, the answer is, obviously, a pair of cuddly designer piglets.

“Victoria fell in love with them and realised she’d found the perfect present.”

The former Spice Girls star was said to be particularly keen on the pigs – which David wants to name Pinky and Perky after characters in a children’s TV show – because they are easy to house-train.

The Los Angeles Galaxy soccer player quashed speculation he has grown a beard out of superstition because his team have reached the play-offs, and has revealed the real reason is because he wants to dress as the mutant Marvel superhero – played by Hugh Jackman in the ‘X-Men’ films – for Halloween.

The 34-year-old sportsman – who has sons Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, 7, and four-year-old Cruz with his wife, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham – said: “Halloween is coming up and I was thinking of Wolverine from ‘X-Men’. It’s not some play-off ritual. I’m just lazy and can’t be bothered to shave. And everybody keeps telling me to cut it and I’m stubborn.”

While David is proud of his beard, he recently topped a poll for having the worst facial hair in showbiz.

Siobhan McDermott – head buyer of feelunique.com, who commissioned the poll – said: “Bad facial hair can be disastrous for even the best looking men.”

Although David’s facial growth has been met with disapproval, he has received support from the Beard Liberation Front.

The group’s organiser Keith Flett said: “He’s got a retro beard, if you look at it, it’s almost like mutton chops. It’s the kind of stuff soccer players had in the 70s. It’s an interesting choice because he could have gone for the designer style beard that is trendy and fashionable.”
