Bruno Mars would write a song with Robert Pattinson

The ‘Just the Way You Are’ hitmaker has recorded a track, ‘It Will Rain’, for movie ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ and would be open to working with its star, who has musical aspirations of his own.

Bruno told Billboard.com: “Why not? I’m down for anyone that wants to work and thinks I can contribute.” Robert has so far recorded two tracks for the original ‘Twilight’ soundtrack and was recently rumoured to be planning a debut album.

Meanwhile, Bruno promises ‘It Will Rain’ captures the darker side of the love between Robert’s Vampire character Edward Cullen and his mortal girlfriend, Bella Swan, played by Kristen Stewart. He said: “The ‘Twilight’ movies for me are a love story. But it’s a dark love story.

“And I think the best way to describe the song is: it’s the darker side of love. I think that pretty much sums it up.” Bruno added he didn’t record the song until after he had seen a preview of most of the film.

He said: “’It Will Rain’ started off with me and the guitar and I just had this melody in my head and basically laid it down after I saw the film.” ‘It Will Rain’ is released globally on September 27 except for in the UK, where it will go on sale in early November.

Robert Pattinson is recording an album

The ‘Twilight’ actor originally considered becoming a musician and is making the most of a break in his schedule by heading to the studio to record his first full-length record.

A source told UsWeekly.com: “Music is his first love! He’s tortured because he avoids it. When he’s sitting around jamming in the studio, it’s his favourite moment of life.”

Another friend added: “Rob has been kicking a few original songs around for a long time, but his schedule didn’t allow it. “Now he’s got some weeks to get everything in line before going back to promoting ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’.”

The 25-year-old actor previously recorded two tracks, ‘Never Think’ and ‘Let Me Sign’ for the original ‘Twilight’ soundtrack. Sources say the sound of the album will be “organic” and use traditional instruments. The friend added: “The album Rob will make will be guitar based and drums, very organic-sounding, nothing pop. Like stripped-down Ray LaMontagne meets Van Morrison.”

Robert’s ‘Twilight’ co-star, Jackson Rathbone, has previously praised his ability as a guitarist. He told how Robert “loves to play the blues. He can hold his own on a guitar. We enjoyed jamming together when we had the time. Very humble and quiet guy.” Robert has also said he loves playing piano, and as a child hoped he could make a living from it.

He said: “I love the piano. I never really had any aspirations to be an actor when I was young. I wanted to play the piano in a bar, to be the old dude with a whiskey glass.”

Robert Pattinson has taken his girlfriend Kristen Stewart on a tour of his hometown

The actress is currently shooting her new movie ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ in London and on one of her days off the actor took her on a trip to Barnes, Surrey, South East England, to show her where he used to live.

To ensure they weren’t spotted by ‘Twilight’ fans Robert and Kristen wore disguises, including blonde and ginger wigs.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “It was really sweet, Rob wanted to show Kristen everything about where he’d grown up. He even took her to the local cafe where he used to hang out and his old pub.”

Among the other places they visited were the primary school Robert attended and the spot where T-Rex singer Marc Bolan died in a car crash in 1977.

Things are going from strength-to-strength for the couple but it doesn’t look like marriage is on the horizon for them anytime in the near future.

Kristen recently admitted she has no plans to walk down the aisle because she doesn’t think relationships need to be legally recognised.

When asked if she “believes” in marriage, she told German magazine TV Movie: “I like the thought of two people staying together for the rest of their lives. For me, however, this doesn’t need to be sealed with signatures.”

Robert Pattinson thinks Kristen Stewart looks like “an alien”

The 25-year-old heartthrob – who is dating his ‘Twilight’ co-star, who plays Bella Swan in the vampire franchise – admitted in scenes from ‘Breaking Dawn’, in which Kristen’s alter-ego’s baby eats her from inside, he was shocked by how “thin and ghastly” she looks.

He told Premiere magazine: “There are scenes were Bella looks like an alien. When the baby eats her from inside, she looks so thin and ghastly.

“Kristen had to wear this horrible makeup and when I’d see her come on set, I’d ask the crew, ‘Are you sure we’re filming ‘Twilight’? Isn’t it supposed to be harmless and PG-13?’”

Despite Robert’s concern over his girlfriend’s shocking look in the latest ‘Twilight’ movie, Kristen recently admitted she “loves” playing a vampire.

She said: “I f***ing love being a vampire. I was 17 when I read ‘Twilight,’ and at the time it was so perfect for me.

“The script was about young kids who think they can handle stuff that they just can’t. And they’re going to do it anyway. Because, why not? Just torture yourself. I relate to that. Vampires are a little dangerous – and we girls like to test ourselves.”

Robert Pattinson bought a new guitar for a tramp

The ‘Twilight Saga’ hunk was putting money into a homeless busker’s tin in Los Angeles when he noticed how battered his instrument was and so headed into a nearby music shop to splash out on a gift for the man. He then emerged with an electric guitar for himself and a new red acoustic for the busker.

British builder Luke Jones witnessed the actor’s generosity, and told The Sun newspaper: “We were gobsmacked when he handed the acoustic guitar to the tramp.

“Robert quickly went back to his car and drove off.

“The busker was totally shell-shocked. He had no idea who Robert was – I think he thought the guitar was stolen.

“He was looking left and right, half expecting the police to arrest him. We asked him to play but he couldn’t get his thoughts together.”

A standard new acoustic guitar costs around £50.

Robert – who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the vampire series – is a keen musician himself and has recorded two tracks, ‘Never Think’ and ‘Let Me Sign’ for the soundtrack to the first ‘Twilight’ film.

The 24-year-old star has previously said he sees music as his “back-up plan” if his film career fails, and that he believes he will be famous when he’s dead.

He said: “I am sure I’ll be one of those artists that people don’t pay any attention to while I’m alive, and when I am dead people will go yeah, man, that was a work of art.”

Daniel Radcliffe thinks it is “lovely” Robert Pattinson has found fame

The 22-year-old actor – who starred alongside the Hollywood hunk in 2005 movie ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ – explained he hasn’t seen Robert since the 25-year-old star shot to fame starring in 2008’s ‘Twilight’, but he is pleased he has become popular.

Speaking on ‘Access Hollywood Live’ today (19.08.11), Daniel said: “We worked together on the fourth ['Harry Potter'] film, but I haven’t seen him since any of the ‘Twilight’ movies.

“It’s lovely to see anyone from the franchise doing other things and becoming successful, but we haven’t had any contact.”

Robert starred as wizard Cedric Diggory in the fourth ‘Harry Potter’ movie – and Daniel, who played the titular character in the 10-year film series, admits his co-star has turned into the “most famous guy in the world” in the last three years.

He added: “He’s had to deal with a lot. [As soon as the 'Twilight' movies came out] Robert was suddenly the most famous guy in the world.”

According to the US edition of Star magazine, the Latin inscription reads: “Even if you can’t see me, my love for you is always there.”

Kristen is reportedly overwhelmed by the gift and it Robert’s gesture has strengthened her love for him further.

A source said: “She was really touched-it was so incredibly sweet.

“She’s been in tears, saying she can’t face being away from Rob for too long and that it physically hurts her.”

Kristen, 21, is a lover of vintage jewellery, and one Halloween Robert, 25, presented her with a vintage gold ring with a red heart.

‘Harry Potter’ triumphed at the Teen Choice Awards last night (07.08.11), winning six prizes

The final movie in the series, ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2′ won the Choice Summer Movie accolade, while Daniel Radcliffe, who plays the titular character, picked up the Choice Summer Movie Star Male gong and his co-star Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger, won the female equivalent at the ceremony at the Gibson Amphitheatre, Los Angeles.

Taylor Swift was the biggest single winner on the night, taking home six prizes including Choice Music Female Artist, Country Music Female Country Artist, Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon Female and Choice Music Country Single for her hit ‘Mean’.

Accepting her Ultimate Teen Choice surfboard onstage, the 21-year-old singer joked: “It’s been a long time since I was a teenager, like two years.”

Selena Gomez nabbed five surfboard statuettes, including Choice TV Actress Comedy for her role as Alex Russo in the ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ and Choice Music Love Song for ‘Love You Like a Love Song’ – beating her boyfriend Justin Bieber who achieved four wins.

The 17-year-old singer appeared on stage alongside his friend Sean Kingston, who was making his first live televised appearance since recovering from a jet-ski accident that left him needing two bouts of heart surgery and incapacitated with a broken jaw and shattered wrists.

Other multiple award winners included ‘Glee’, ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’, which picked up a hat-trick of gongs including Choice Movie Actor Sci-Fi/Fantasy for Taylor Lautner’s portrayal of Jacob Black.

Despite her maternal instincts being awoken during filming scenes for the series, she admits she was a little freaked out by the animatronic child, operated by a member of the crew, which she had to interact with in certain scenes.

She said: “Filming it, this guy’s sweating under your eye line, they get the hand up to touch your face and then it sticks to your hair and pulls a little bit.

“You’re like, ‘Ugh! Get that thing off me. Get me a baby, this is ridiculous.’ It had hair and it’s a newborn baby!”

Taylor Lautner will be friends with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson “forever”

The hunky actor – who plays werewolf Jacob Black in the ‘Twilight Saga’franchise – revealed the best thing about being a part of the movie series was getting to know Kristen (Bella Swan) and Robert (Edward Cullen) and says the three of them will always remain close.

He told Hollywoodlie.com: “My parting gifts were our friendships, lifelong friendships. We all get along great. We’re definitely going to continue spending time together. Whether we’re promoting these movies or whatever.

“There were tears on the last days, from everyone. I was the one who predicted it was actually going to be emotional on the last day.”

Taylor has previously revealed he had mixed emotions about the end of the franchise.

He said: “I think it’s mixed emotions, for sure.

“Half of me says, ‘This is a relief. I get some time off, I get to spend some time with family and friends and do other things,’ but the other half says, ‘This is so weird.’ I’ve been filming with these people for years, so it’s definitely a bummer.”

The ‘Twilight’ actress – who was voted sixth sexiest woman in the world in an FHM magazine poll last year – hates it when people praise her for her appearance, insisting she doesn’t feel as attractive as she is perceived to be.

When asked how she feels about being called “hot,” Kristen replied: “I can’t stand that. What does that even mean? I don’t feel hot.”

The actress – who is dating her ‘Twilight Saga’ co-star Robert Pattinson –gets self conscious of people when she is out in public, although she admits she would do the same if she saw a celebrity in the street.

She told Closer magazine: “I have to pick and choose where I’m going. Sometimes I’m like, ‘Oh, I can’t deal with anything right now, I can’t see anybody.’

“I know what I’m like, and if I knew that an actor was nearby, I’d be interested.

“I’m a people watcher and I’d definitely choose that person to watch. It’s human nature to look at others and everyone is the same. So for a while I was definitely a bit self conscious.”

Kellan Lutz refused to audition for the role of ‘Twilight’s Edward Cullen because the character is “too depressing”

The hunky actor – who plays Edward’s adopted brother Emmett in the vampire franchise – revealed he was originally asked to try out for the part which eventually went to Robert Pattinson but he turned it down because he wanted a part that made him “smile”.

Kellan explained to JustJared: “I didn’t want to do it. I spent so much time filming in Africa before that, seven months, and that’s a long time to be away from your family and dogs. My agent wanted me to read for Edward and I read the script and thought that character was too depressing for me right now, I want to do something where I smile. I wanted to take a break from acting and I said that, I turned it down, I turned down the audition a couple of times.”

However, Kellan’s agent insisted the film would be career changing and convinced him to audition for the role of big brother Emmett, who Kellan loved for his “comedic” characteristics.

Kellan said: “Ryan, my agent at the time really knew it was going to be a special project so he told me to read the role of Emmett, and I read it, it was only about four lines, but he was the big brother, the comedic relief and I fell in love with him. I said ‘Sure, I would love to play this type of role’. I auditioned, and long story short, here I am finishing the saga and Emmett is going to be in my heart forever.”

Robert Pattinson was asked to “bite” a fan’s baby

The British actor – who is best known for playing vampire Edward Cullen in the ‘Twilight Saga’ film series – was left perplexed during filming on the first movie when a female supporter handed over her three-month-old child to meet the cast.

He recalled: “My favourite moment from the whole thing was when we doing the first one and there were people waiting by the perimeter fence and this woman handed over her three-month-old baby to the AD [assistant director] to meet us.

“The AD didn’t know what to do with it, so he was like, ‘I think she wants you to sign the baby or something?’ and then we realised she wanted pictures with the baby.

“I didn’t understand the reality of the thing at the time, that people would see the pictures, so there’s a picture of me on the internet somewhere biting this baby.”

Despite his revelation, Robert – who is dating his ‘Twilight Saga’ co-star Kristen Stewart – insists he didn’t make physical contact with the infant and only pretended to bite when posing for the picture.

He added: “I didn’t actually, like, touch it. It’s a funny picture. The baby was so small its entire head fit in my mouth.”

Taylor Swift is to receive a special accolade at the Teen Choice Awards

The ‘Love Story’ hitmaker is to be presented with the Ultimate Choice Award in recognition of her “extraordinary contributions to the entertainment industry” at the ceremony on August 7.

It has already been announced that Taylor is in the running to win six other awards, Red Carpet Hot Icon – Female, Choice Music: Female Artist, Choice Music: Female Country Artist, Choice Music: Love Song, for her single ‘Mine’, Choice Music: Break-up Song for ‘Back to December’ and Choice Music: Country Song for ‘Mean’.

Previous winners of the coveted Ultimate Choice accolade have included Reese Witherspoon, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Justin Timberlake.

Meanwhile, it has been announced that ‘Twilight Saga’ heartthrob Robert Pattinson, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, and Disney star Demi Lovato have been added to the line-up of famous faces who will make an appearance at the ceremony, which takes place at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles.

They join a host of previously-announced guests including Ashton Kutcher, Justin Bieber, Kim Cardashian, Cameron Diaz, Tyra Banks, Kellan Lutz, Chris Hemsworth and Joe Jonas.

Kristen Stewart was horrified by the robotic baby she had to work with in ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1′

The actress – who plays Bella Swann in the vampire film series – was looking forward to her alter-ego having a child with her on-screen blood-sucking lover Edward Cullen but admits the reality was somewhat different because they used an animatronic child, which was operated by a member of the crew.

Speaking of the moment Bella meets her half-vampire, half-human child, Kristen said: “In the book that was one of my favourite parts.

“But filming it, this guy’s sweating under your eye line, they get the hand up to touch your face and then it sticks to your hair and pulls a little bit.

“You’re like, ‘Ugh! Get that thing off me. Get me a baby, this is ridiculous.’ It had hair and it’s a newborn baby.”

Robert Pattinson – who plays the baby’s vampire father Edward – was also repulsed by the artificial baby as it looked like something from a horror movie.

He is quoted by the Daily Record newspaper: “It’s Chucky from ‘Child’s Play’!”

Bella and Edward’s daughter, who they name Renesmee Carlie Cullen, grows much faster than other children and Kristen admits filming with some of the child stars was tough because they were bigger than her.

Kristen Stewart “strongly connected” with her pregnancy in ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1’

The actress’ character, Bella Swan, has a baby with her vampire lover Edward Cullen – played by her real life boyfriend Robert Pattinson – in the film and Kristen said it awoke her maternal instinct.

Asked about pregnancy scenes at Comic-Con in San Diego today (21.07.11), she replied: “I felt so strongly connected to this. She’s like a little cat in the corner who really will scrape your eyes out to defend her baby.”

Robert also enjoyed the scenes with the baby, as it brought out a more “human” side in his character. He said: “I really like babies. I like playing scenes with them too. Especially with this series – you’re playing this statuesque guy most of the time, but he has the baby and it makes everything more human.

“And babies, in terms of acting with it, they just do their own thing. It’s more fun. You’re basically improvising.” Kristen may not quite be ready for motherhood yet, however, as she also admitted she found it hard to get to grips with some of the actual children used for filming.
When asked about the most awkward scenes to film, she replied: “Occasionally I couldn’t pick up the kid sometimes,” prompting a laugh from Robert.

‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ star c will take on ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1’ actor Daniel Radcliffe in the ‘Choice Movie Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy’ category, while their female co-stars – Kristen Stewart and Emma Watson respectively – are both up for the female version of the award.

The two films will themselves go head to head to see which will be named ‘Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy’. ‘Twilight’ star Robert is up for four awards in total, including Choice Movie Actor: Drama
for ‘Water for Elephants’ and Choice Movie: Liplock
for his kiss with Kristen.
In the latter category, Robert – who is dating Kristen off set – faces competition however, from his co-star Taylor Lautner – who has his own smooch with Kristen in ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’.

The hunky ‘Twilight’ pair even find themselves head to head in all three categories Taylor is nominated in, including the coveted Choice Male Hottie. It is another Taylor who leads the musical nominations however, as Taylor Swift has picked up five nods, including Choice Music: Female Artist, Choice Music: Female Country Artist and Choice Music: Love Song, for her single ‘Mine’.

Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber has only one nomination, out of four, for his songs – Choice Music: Male Artist – with his other nods for Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon: Male, Choice TV: Villain for his turn in ‘CSI’, and Choice Twit. Other stars to pick up nominations in the awards’ 66 categories included Johnny Depp, Eminem, Beyonce and Christina Aguilera.

Penn Badgley has reportedly beaten Robert Pattinson to the role of Jeff Buckley in a new biopic

The ‘Gossip Girl’ star has been cast ahead of the ‘Twilight’ hunk and also James Franco to play the late iconic musician.

Producers wanted an actor who could play the guitar and sing to portray Buckley and although Pattinson can do both, Badgley is believed to have got the nod because his voice sounds more similar to the ‘Hallelujah’ singer.

A source told HollywoodLife.com: “Penn is thrilled to get this role and thinks it’s the film of a lifetime.”

The decision to give Badgley the coveted part is said to have left Pattinson “devastated” as he was desperate to get the part.

The 25-year-old actor had even been given the backing of Buckley’s mother Mary Guibert to portray her son on the big screen.

She said: “Robert is a fine young actor. I’m flattered he’s been linked to this project.”

Buckley – the son of musician Tim Buckley – tragically drowned at the age of 30 after spontaneously deciding to go swimming fully clothed in a channel of the Mississippi River in 1997.

He only released one album, the critically acclaimed ‘Grace’, during his lifetime and had been in Memphis to record the follow-up to the 1994 LP.

Robert Pattinson wants a “simple” wedding

The 25-year-old actor – who is in a relationship with ‘Twilight Saga’ co-star Kristen Stewart – insists he wouldn’t want to tie the knot in front of hundreds of celebrities, and ideally would just be joined at the ceremony by a small group of close family and friends.

Asked about his dream wedding, he told heat magazine: “I imagine it to be pretty simple. It’s not exactly my style to fly in 500 different celebrities from around the world.

“My best friends now are the same best friends I had before everything got a little crazy. I would want it to just be family and close friends, not somebody I’ve said hello to once at an awards ceremony.”

The British star also revealed he would return to his native UK to get married, despite the unpredictable weather.

He added: “The weather in LA is great, but if I were to get married, I think I would like to do so back home.”

The ‘Water for Elephants’ star recently spoke of his desire to settle down and have a family, revealing he dreams of sharing his home with a number of children.

He added: “I’m not interested in casual relationships, I need to know people, I’m not making an existential statement here, simply, I want a family with two or three kids.”

Kristen Stewart thinks vampires are “sexy”

The 21-year-old-actress plays Bella Swan in the ‘Twilight: Saga’ movies and she can understand why her character would fall in love with blood-sucker Edward Cullen – who is portrayed by her real-life boyfriend Robert Pattinson in the film series.

She said: “Vampires are very sexy. I think it’s because they’re meant to draw you in just to the point where they can then kill you. It’s like a forbidden fruit. If it’s something you can’t have, then naturally you just want it more. Maybe that’s why I was drawn to the role of Bella in ‘Twilight’.”

Although she can recognise the erotic qualities of the mythical creatures, Kristen wouldn’t be happy to be confronted by a vampire in real life.

She added: “I wouldn’t like to be confronted by a real vampire, though, as they can read your mind!”

Robert Pattinson thinks it would be “terrifying” to stop winning MTV’s Best Kiss Award

The ‘Twilight’ actor – who is dating his co-star Kristen Stewart – said he would be disappointed not to win the MTV Movie accolade for the third time in a row for his onscreen kiss with Kristen in ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’.

When asked what the secret of his success has been, he told MTV News: “I don’t know. I mean – I thought I won it three times?! Did I win it three? It’s kind of terrifying if you suddenly stop winning it, you’re like, ‘Oh God!’.

“It’s almost worse than if you stop winning like, acting awards or whatever. If you can’t kiss anymore, it’s like, ‘What?! I’m still good at kissing!’”

However, Kristen has two attempts at winning the award, as she has also been nominated for her clinch with co-star Taylor Lautner in ‘Eclipse’.

Robert and Kristen will also face tough competition from fellow nominees Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis in ‘Black Swan’, Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe in ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1′ and ‘Inception’ couple Ellen Page and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

The 20th MTV Movie Awards are set to take place at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, on Sunday, June 5.

Kristen Stewart fell in love with Vancouver while she was shooting the ‘Twilight’ movies

The 21-year-old actress – who recently finished filming the final scenes for the two ‘Breaking Dawn’ movies in the city and Squamish, British Columbia – admits it was a great experience to shoot in the Canadian city because it has so much natural beauty.

She said: “We shot most of the ‘Twilight’ series in Vancouver. I fell in love with it – it’s such a beautiful city. I found the climate so different from what I’m used to in Los Angeles. The air is clean and fresh and there are beautiful mountain views everywhere. But I didn’t get to go out as much as I would have liked.”

Vancouver isn’t the only place to have captured her heart during the filming of the vampire movie franchise.

Kristen – who is dating her co-star Robert Pattinson – also loved shooting the second movie in the series in Italy and she especially enjoyed the European country’s food.

She explained to new! magazine: “When we shot ‘Twilight: New Moon’ in Italy, I tried all different kinds of pasta dishes – Alfredo, fettuccine with cream, basil and Romano cheese – and gnocchi with seafood. I suddenly took an interest in cooking. It was amazing! It’s now my favourite cuisine.”

Robert Pattinson can’t trust new people since he became famous

The 24-year-old actor – who was relatively unknown until he landed the role of vampire Edward Cullen in the ‘Twilight: Saga’ films – is more guarded around people now because he can never be sure of their motives.

In an interview with Germany’s Gala magazine, he said: “I miss meeting new people. It sounds weird to say that as an actor, but I’m talking about really getting to know someone. Usually I ask myself whether I can really trust someone and that’s why most of my acquaintances stay rather superficial.”

The screen heartthrob – who is dating his ‘Twilight’ co-star Kristen Stewart – says it is difficult for him to go out to restaurants and bars now because he is so well known, but he was thrilled recently when he was able to enjoy a meal in anonymity.

He explained: “The other day at a dinner. I was told I would be sitting next to a table with 18 people and my first thought was, ‘Great, probably a mob of teenagers.’ But it was 18 Asian children and they didn’t know who I was. It was the most relaxed dinner I’ve had in ages.”

Now the ‘Twilight’ movies are coming to an end, Robert believes he will have to work really hard to stop himself from being typecast in the role.

The actor – who can currently be seen starring opposite Reese Witherspoon in romantic drama ‘Water for Elephants’ – said: “When you’re really successful you pay a certain price. Especially because I’ve been so successful with ‘Twilight’ I will probably have to prove for the next 10 years that I am more than just Edward.”
