Sir Elton John:Top Iconic Male Gay Of All Time
by Alice on Dec.10, 2009, under Artist, Music, Singer

The legendary pop star – who married his long-term lover David Furnish in a civil partnership ceremony in 2005 – has been declared the male most respected by homosexuals, while the late actress Judy Garland was named the most iconic female.
The male list was predominantly made up of gay men – including late Queen singer Freddie Mercury, British TV star Stephen Fry and ‘Faith’ hitmaker George Michael – apart from soccer hunk David Beckham, who is married to Victoria Beckham.
Meanwhile, the female list was full of glamorous female stars – including singers Kylie Minogue, Madonna and Cher – rather than famous lesbians.
A spokesperson from www.OnePoll.com – who commissioned the survey of over 5,000 gay men and women – said: “Interestingly only one of the men in the top 10 list of male celebrity gay icons isn’t gay – David Beckham. And yet most of the women put on a pedestal by the gay community are straight.
“It just shows that to advocate a certain way of living, you don’t have to live the lifestyle but simply be more accepting of those around you.”
British TV star Paul O’Grady made both lists – as himself and cross-dressing alter ego Lily Savage.

Lady Gaga Said: “I was fearless with my ambitions”
by Alice on Dec.08, 2009, under Artist, Music, Singer

The ‘Paparazzi’ singer, who was recently nominated for five Grammy awards, always dreamt about being a star and was determined to do whatever it took to be successful.
She said: “I was fearless with my ambitions. I had this dream and really wanted to be a star.
“I left my family, school and said I want to do it alone. I got three jobs waitressing. I was good at serving Italian food in heels.
The 23-year-old also claimed Mick Jagger, David Bowie and Judy Garland were among her fashion icons.
She said: “All the kookiness, the blood and the craziness is my way of trying to understand that image.
“I’m part designer love, part fashionista and part handmade garments on my own. I made a lot of my clothes.”
The ‘Poker Face’ star – real name Stefani Germanotta – also spoke about her nickname, explaining that friends had compared her with Freddie Mercury, whose band Queen had a hit called ‘Radio Gaga’.
She explained to US TV host Barbara Walters: “My friends started to call me Gaga. They said I was very theatrical and that although I’m in pop music, there was a performance-art element to the show, like Freddie Mercury. So they said, ‘You’re Gaga’.”

Dame Helen Mirren Said “As you get older naked stuff gets easier”
by Alice on Dec.08, 2009, under Actress

The 64-year-old actress – who has stripped on screen in several films – insists baring all in front of the camera is “liberating” and she gets through it by refusing to think of the response from male fans.
She said: “As you get older naked stuff gets easier. It’s more to do with the role than what men in the audience think. There’s a liberation about it.”
The ‘Queen’ actress also spoke about her first encounters of sex, admitting she is still angry about losing her virginity.
She said: “It was the calumny of young men… My trustful romantic nature was badly let down, my feminism confronted… I am still p***ed off, actually.”
Despite her unsatisfying first sexual experience, Helen insists she has learned something from every man she has ever dated.
She said in an interview with Broadcast Now: “Ken Cranham, like all the men I have had a proper relationship with, left me a better person than he found me.”
Helen married her husband, American director Taylor Hackford, in 1997, 11 years after they started dating, and credits his fiery nature and honesty with keeping them together.
She explained: “Taylor can be turbulent, irrational and explosive. He has made me cry on many occasions… He is also the most unsexist man, looking women directly in the eye with no curtain of assumptions or prejudices to cloud his view. He is brave, loyal and supportive.”
