Nicole’s Stalker

by Lisa on Apr.26, 2011, under Actress

Nicole KidmanNicole Kidman has opened up about how she was terrorised by a stalker as a teenager

The 43-year-old actress revealed that when she was 18 she was followed around by an older man and says the ordeal was “a frightening experience”.

She said: “[It] was my most frightening experience at that age. I had a man who followed me around – older, with long grey hair.

“He found out where I lived and would phone me. He would just sit in a pub across the road and watch – then tell people he was a friend of mine.”

The redheaded beauty was living alone at the time because she had left home to embark on her film career and although she informed police of the man she was told they couldn’t do anything unless he actually tried to harm her.

She explained to The Sun newspaper: “The police talked to him, but said they couldn’t do anything until he did something to me. You never know how bad these people are going to be.”

Nicole – who is married to Keith Urban, with whom she has two daughters Sunday Rose, two and four-month-old Faith, and is also an adopted mother to Isabella, 18 and Connor, 16 from her past marriage to Tom Cruise – filed a restraining order against another alleged stalker in 2001.

Nicole Kidman On Her Adopted Children

by Alice on Feb.21, 2011, under Actress

Nicole Hopes?Nicole Kidman hopes her adopted children will live with her again

The Australian actress – who has daughter Isabella, 18, and son Connor, 16, with ex-husband Tom Cruise – admits she would love it if the teenagers asked to move to the home she shares with husband Keith Urban and their daughters Sunday Rose, two, and Faith Margaret, two months.

Nicole said: “It’s so different because they don’t live with us, but I would love them to come and live with us at some stage.

“They’re teenagers, they’re in a whole different place.”

Though Nicole and Keith, both 43, are happy with their family, the ‘Rabbit Hole’ star admits she would still like to have more kids, but she accepts that may not happen.

She added in an interview on Australian TV show ’60 Minutes’: “I never say never. If you ask Keith, he’d be like ‘No,’ but my sister’s got five kids. Keith’s like, ‘You’re not going to be like your sister, are you?’ I’m at an age now where it’s very hard to have a child when you’re 43. We love what we have.”

Nicole has previously admitted she is saddened by her elder children’s decision to live with their father, his wife Katie Holmes and their four-year-old daughter Suri, but wouldn’t fight their choice.

She said: “They live with Tom, which was their choice. I’d love them to live with us, but what can you do?”

Nicole’s Adopted Children

Nicole KidmanNicole Kidman wishes her adopted children lived with her

The Australian actress raised 18-year-old Isabella and Connor, 15, with ex-husband Tom Cruise and is saddened by their decision to live with their father, his wife Katie Holmes and their four-year-old daughter Suri, but wouldn’t fight their choice.

She said: “They live with Tom, which was their choice. I’d love them to live with us, but what can you do?”

Though she is upset about her elder children not living with her, she is delighted to have become a parent again later in life, having had daughter Sunday Rose with husband Keith Urban in July 2008.

She admitted: “It’s a beautiful thing at 43 to have a two and half year old!”

Explaining the youngster’s unusual name, Nicole revealed she was named after the day of week that her and Keith most enjoy together.

She told Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “When we were both alone, before we met each other, Sunday was the day we dreaded most, because when you don’t have someone in your life Sundays can be really lonely.

“Then when we met, we went from dreading Sunday to really loving it. It was the day when nobody was going to bother you, you could stay in bed, you could do what you wanted to do. We just thought, What a great name for our baby!’ “

Who Won The “hula dance-off” Competition – Nicole Kidman Or Jennifer Aniston?

by Kavy on May.04, 2010, under Actress, Dancer

Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman beat Jennifer Aniston in a “hula dance-off” in Hawaii.

The Hollywood beauties are currently filming upcoming romantic comedy ‘Just Go With It’ on the island of Maui, and they can’t stop “goofing off” on set and even challenged each other to an exotic dance competition involving hula hoops – which, after a close battle, was eventually won by Nicole.

A set source said: “They are totally bonding together and look like absolute best friends, hanging out between takes, laughing, joking and goofing off together.

“Friday was absolutely hilarious, the two of them decided to have a hula dance-off competition. We all had to judge who was the best hula dancer, and they performed for like five minutes each. They were both amazing and it was declared a tie, but they wouldn’t accept that ruling and both insisted on going another round, this time with a hula hoop! Nic just managed to pip Jen to the post, keeping going for around 30 seconds more. It was a tight one, but she just won by the skin of her teeth!”

The pair have kept this light-hearted approach to their work up throughout filming, and fellow cast and crew are amazed by how well they have bonded.

The source added to RadarOnline.com: “That’s completely what filming has been like the whole time, just fun and games, it’s amazing.

“This has to be one of the most fun film sets I’ve ever been on, and I’m sure that’s going to come over on the finished movie.

“Both Jen and Nic are absolutely awesome. They are totally down to earth and really approachable and friendly.”

‘Just Go With It’ stars Adam Sandler as a plastic surgeon called Patrick who is so afraid of commitment he tells his young girlfriend Beverly, portrayed by model Brooklyn Decker, he is already married.

Jennifer will play his fake wife Palmer, while Nicole stars as Rea Ann Devlin.

Nicole, 42, and 41-year-old Jennifer have been getting on so well, they have even started offering each other fashion advice.

The source added: “It was so sweet, they were just like two regular girlfriends shopping together!”

Naomi Watts’ Journey To Hollywood

by Kavy on Apr.18, 2010, under Actress

Naomi Watts

Naomi Watts didn’t think she had the “personality” to make it in Hollywood.

The ‘Mulholland Drive’ actress struggled to get her big break in the entertainment industry and admits the constant knock backs took their toll on her confidence.

She explained: “You know it’s true what people say about looks. You must have more than just looks, you must have personality too. I didn’t have that confidence and it affected the way people perceived me.

“I’d been slogging away in Hollywood for five years getting nowhere. At castings I was constantly told I wasn’t talented enough, I wasn’t right, I wasn’t beautiful enough, I was nowhere near sexy enough.”

Despite her struggles, the 41-year-old star refused to give up on her dream and was inspired by the successes of her close friend, ‘The Hours’ actress Nicole Kidman.

She added to She magazine: “I thought about quitting acting and took other jobs – in restaurants, on magazines – but nothing gave me the same feeling. I was often down to my last $200. Nicole actually gave me hope. She’d tell me that it would only take one film, one casting and everything would change.”

Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban’s Love Life Secret

by Kavy on Mar.28, 2010, under Actress, Artist, Music, Singer

Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban leave each other love notes.

The Oscar-winning actress and the country singer – who have a 20-month-old daughter, Sunday Rose, together – are keen to keep the romance in their marriage alive so write heartfelt messages and leave them in secret places for the other to find.

A source said: “Keith has left notes for Nicole under the pillow and in the shower but the most unique time was when he wrote, ‘I Love You’, on a skin of orange in the fridge.

“She’s not as creative and usually hides them in Keith’s pockets, music equipment and even his underwear.”

Keith has previously shown his romantic side by writing a song for Nicole.

The 42-year-old musician and his writing partner Rick Nowels penned the heartfelt track ‘Thank You’ – which includes the lyrics ‘I thank God for grace and mercy, and that you became my wife’ – and revealed Nicole was thrilled when she first heard it.

Keith said: “Rick’s music pulled this story out of me, which became quite a confessional – much more intimate than I might have written had I intended to write about her. It was very instinctual and very much from the heart. We did a quick recording of it, and I took it home and played it for her that night. I think she was very touched.”

‘Brad and Angelina’ – Are They “happy” … ?

by Alice on Feb.08, 2010, under Actor, Actress

Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie

The couple – who raise six children together – fought back against rumours they are on the verge of splitting and couldn’t keep their hands off each other at the annual American football championship game at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

A source told X17 Online: “Brad and Angelina looked perfectly happy together – so much so that it seems impossible that there were all of those recent reports suggesting they were separating.”

The pair and their eight-year-old son Maddox watched the game in their VIP skybox as they saw the New Orleans Saints beat the Indianapolis Colts.

The couple have been plagued by rumours of a split over the past few weeks, and last month it was claimed they had visited lawyers to finalise custody arrangements and split their finances in the event of a separation.

Brad and Angelina weren’t the only famous faces at the game.

Tom Cruise also attended with his three-year-old daughter Suri – his child with wife Katie Holmes – and son Connor, who he adopted with his ex-wife Nicole Kidman.

Demi Moore and her husband Ashton Kutcher were also watching from the crowd, as well as John Travolta, Gloria Estefan, and LL Cool J.

Its Hard For Nicole Kidman To Work And Mother Her Daughter Together

by Kavy on Dec.21, 2009, under Actress

Nicole Kidman

The Oscar-winning actress doesn’t want to disrupt 17-month-old Sunday Rose’s schedule too much so has turned down roles so they can remain in their Nashville home.

Nicole – who is married to country singer Keith Urban – said: “I just can never be away from her, so she comes wherever I go, as you see. Have baby, will travel. She’s OK on planes, but honestly, we stay in Nashville a lot. That’s why I don’t work that much. It’s harder now to pack to her up. At 17 months, it’s a different type of travelling. When they’re six weeks, they’re easier to travel with. And you’re breast-feeding, so it’s easy to feed.”

However, Nicole did sign up to star in new musical movie ‘Nine’ shortly after Sunday’s birth and says she has her daughter to thank for the curves she shows off in the film.

She told the USA Today newspaper: “I was wrapped into that dress. I was! That’s when I had big boobs from the milk! That’s the benefit of the breast-feeding.”

Nicole Kidman And Her Family Watched Her Latest Film

by Alice on Dec.14, 2009, under Actress, Children, Family

Nicole Kidman

The Oscar-winning actress had just given birth to 17-month-old daughter Sunday Rose when she started shooting musical movie ‘Nine’ so took her and her spouse Keith Urban to work with her so they could all be together.

The film’s director Rob Marshall said: “She was excited to be part of a company and go back to work right away. And her baby was on set with us. It was beautiful.”

The movie’s choreographer John DeLuca said: “Keith just watched and had this big smile while holding the baby. It was nice to have little Sunday Rose there.”

Although Keith is a huge country music star, he didn’t offer any advice vocal tips to his wife for her singing role.

Rob added to ‘E!’: “Keith was always there, but he stepped back into the background. He just steps back, which is really nice.”

Nicole recently revealed she took on her role in ‘Nine’ to prove there is more to life than motherhood.

She explained: “I’d just given birth, so I was like, ‘OK, I’m still a woman – I want to do this film! And I do have a life other than simply feeding this baby.’ I think when you give birth you get itchy to get back to work and you want to feel life still goes on.”

Penelope Cruz Said Her Singing Was A Bit Rusty In The New Film ‘Nine’

by Alice on Dec.04, 2009, under Actress

Penelope Cruz

Speaking on the red carpet at the London premiere of the musical movie in Leicester Square last night (03.12.09), the 35-year-old Spanish actress admitted her singing was a bit rusty because she hadn’t done it in public for years.

The 35-year-old star told BANG Showbiz: “Singing was terrifying because it was new and because it was my first time.

“It was like doing theatre, but I only did theatre as a student in Spain.”

Penelope – who plays seductress, Carla Albanese, who seduces Daniel Day-Lewis’ character, director Guido Contini, in the film – also revealed her sexy look in the movie was aided by some very good costume designers.

She said: “The woman who designed the costumes for every one of us, I think she really must be one of the most amazing artists.”

Penelope was joined on the red carpet by several of her co-stars, including Nicole Kidman, 42, Kate Hudson, 30, and Dame Judi Dench, 74.

Judi admitted she was surprised by how well all the actresses got along, saying: “They’re wonderful, I mean every single one, I swear you’re going to be surprised. They’re going to surprise everyone.”

Keith Urban And Nicole Kidman Love To Sing Together At Home

by Alice on Nov.24, 2009, under Actress, Singer

Anna Kendrick

The country singer admits he would never rule out a collaboration with his actress wife – who showed off her vocal talents in ‘Moulin Rouge!’ – because they have so much fun singing together at home.

He said: “Would we do something together? I don’t think it’s ever out of the question. I don’t know. We sort of do our own things professionally. But I love singing with her at home. It’s quite nice. She’s a huge inspiration for everything I do.”

Nicole, 42, may not be the only member of his family Keith collaborates with in future.

The singer also revealed that the couple’s 16-month-old daughter Sunday Rose is already showing signs of musical talent.

He explained to America’s OK! magazine: “She’s got some pipes. They’re loud, you know! I think so. I think she sounds quite musical. Sit her at the piano and play and we mash the keys together.”

Keith, 42, revealed earlier this year that he and his writing partner Rick Nowels had delighted Nicole by writing a song about her.

Speaking about the heartfelt track ‘Thank You’ – which includes the lyrics ‘I thank God for grace and mercy, and that you became my wife’ – Keith said: “Rick’s music pulled this story out of me, which became quite a confessional – much more intimate than I might have written had I intended to write about her. It was very instinctual and very much from the heart. We did a quick recording of it, and I took it home and played it for her that night. I think she was very touched.”

Nicole Kidman Loved Being A Mother

by cyan on Nov.18, 2009, under Actress, Mother

Nicole Kidman

The actress – who gave birth to Sunday Rose, her first child with husband Keith Urban on 7 July 2008 – was amazed at the bust-boosting effect her baby had on her body.

The 42-year-old star said: “They’re not very big, my boobs, so they just became normal size. I loved it! I felt very, ‘Woman’.

“When you’ve had a slightly androgynous body your whole life, having breasts is a nice feeling.”

Nicole also revealed she is more in love than ever with her husband of three years Keith.

She said: “I love being in love. I believe in the power of love, the way it can heal. The more you keep choosing it – because there are times when you can choose to be angry at the person or to love him – the more it nourishes a family.”

Nicole – who was previously married to Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise – used to enjoy the fictional lives of her film characters more than her own life, but says that has changed now.

Nicole – who made 20 films between 2001 and 2008 – told Ladies’ Home Journal magazine: “My imaginary life was better than my flesh-and-blood life. That’s a sad thing to say, but it was. Now I love my real life so much it requires an enormous belief in a film to want to take it on.”

Nicole Kidman And Keith Urban Thought They Were Very Old To Have Babies

by cyan on Nov.10, 2009, under Actress

Nicole Kidman

The celebrity couple – who married in 2006 and have 17-month-old daughter Sunday Rose together – didn’t believe they would ever have babies because they met each other later in life.

Keith – who like Nicole celebrated his 42nd birthday this year – said: “We’re immensely blessed with Sunday. I think neither of us was ever sure we would have kids. We didn’t get to meet each other in our 20s or 30s, so we thought maybe that’s not our journey, we’re fine with that. But it’s such a miracle to have her.”

Keith also admitted he and Nicole haven’t ruled out having more children in future, even though they are happy with their current family set-up.

He added: “ We’re very grateful and not pining for anything more than what we’ve got. But if another was to come, Nicole and I would be very happy.”

The couple went through marital problems when Keith spent three months in rehab for alcohol addiction shortly after their nuptials.

Although the family are now happy, Keith says their relationship isn’t easy and admits they have had to work hard to make it a success.

He added to Britain’s Hello! magazine: “The union we’ve created is something we both want to work on. It is beautiful to be in a union with somebody that is equally loving and passionate, and who wants the best for the other person. We want the best for each other and we support each other to do that. I have never had a situation where I have been willing to do whatever it took to work things out. To find myself in a relationship with a person who is equally willing has been an absolute miracle.”

Gwyneth Paltrow Is To Play Nicole Kidman’s Wife In ‘The Danish Girl’

by cyan on Nov.09, 2009, under Actress, Films

Gwyneth Paltrow
The ‘Iron Man’ actress has signed on to replace Charlize Theron in ‘The Danish Girl’, an adaptation of a novel about the first post-operative transsexual.

The film follows Danish artists Einar and Greta Wegener who found success after Einar stood in for a female model that Greta was set to paint. As their work gained popularity, Greta encouraged her husband to continue to adopt a female guise.

This eventually led to Einar undergoing a sex change operation in 1931, shocking the world and threatening their marriage.

Anand Turker is set to direct the film, which screenwriter Lucinda Coxon is adapting from David Ebershoff’s novel of the same name.

Nicole previously won an Oscar for playing a lesbian in ‘The Hours’, while Gwyneth saw her character in ‘Shakespeare In Love’ disguise herself as a man in order to fulfil her acting dreams.

Last week, Nicole said she actively sought out “extreme” film choices and explored all aspects of love, sex and marriage.

She said: “In the end I hope my life will be a mix of extreme love and bold artistic choices. I’ve never wanted to be safe. I’ve never chosen safe relationships. And I’ve never chosen safe films.”
