Now that Kim Kardashian and beau Kris Humphries have been dating for a few months, and have had time to become acquainted with each other’s families and friends, the verdict is in from Kardashian’s best friend Brittny Gastineau: He’s a keeper!

“I thinks she’s finally met a solid, great guy,” Gastineau told TooFab of Kardashian, who was most recently linked to Gabriel Aubry. Her other exes include footballers Miles Austin and Reggie Bush.

“I’m so happy for her,” Gastineau told TooFab at a pre-Grammys event at the Maximillian Gallery at the Sunset Marquis Hotel Wednesday night for Tres Glam, the jewelry line launched by Gastineau and her mom Lisa. “He’s super handsome and they’re perfect for each other. I’m so happy for my best friend.”

And Gastineau, who’s been linked to Michael Phelps, Paul “DJ Pauly” DelVecchio and Kevin Connolly, says that seeing Kardashian’s successful love connection “makes me have hope [in my own love life.]“

Kim Kardashian is having “a lot of fun” with Kris Humphries

The sexy socialite – who split from Dallas Cowboys football player Miles Austin in September – started dating the New Jersey Nets basketball star last December when she was filming her new reality show ‘Kourtney and Kim Take New York’ but said there are no plans for him to appear on screen with her.

Kim explained: “I met him towards the end of filming the show. I’m having a lot of fun [with him].”

While viewers won’t get the chance to see Kim’s new relationship developing onscreen, the star – who has also dated football player Reggie Bush and been linked to soccer player Christiano Ronaldo and rapper Kanye West – she has promised a new insight into her dating life.

She told People: “I’m showing a lot of my dating life, which I’ve never really done before. I mean you’ve seen bits and pieces of my relationships before, but you’ve never really seen me being single and doing whatever I want to do.”

Although Kim, 30, admitted “it’s always hard when you’re dating on camera,” she isn’t worried it will affect her chance of finding love.

She said: “I never think love is hard. I think if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be.”

The socialite and her basketball player spouse Lamar Odom are keen to start a family but the brunette beauty thinks the sportsman has a lot to learn when it comes to biology.

In a joint interview with her sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, she told KIIS-FM DJ Ryan Seacrest: “He asked me, ‘Can’t we just put two in there?’ He’s crazy, he thinks it’s like that easy.”

Kim – who has recently been romantically linked with model Gabriel Aubry – also admitted to the presenter that she is currently dating someone, despite previously saying she wanted to remain single after splitting from NFL stars Reggie Bush and Miles Austin earlier this year.

She said: “I really do want to stay single but it’s really hard when you meet amazing people, and gorgeous people. I’m dating – I’m definitely dating.”

Though Ryan didn’t directly ask Kim if she was dating Gabriel, he queried whether she would like to meet Halle Berry, the mother of the Canadian hunk’s two-year-old daughter Nahla.

Kim replied: “She’s beautiful… I may – I don’t know.”

The 30-year-old beauty also laughed off the constant scrutiny of her love life, insisting that whenever she steps out with a man, she is not necessarily romantically involved with them.

She said: “If I’m photographed on five different dates, it’s assumed I am the town slore, and I could have never hooked up with any of these people.

Kim Kardashian doesn’t need a man to be happy

The socialite – who has previously dated NFL player Reggie Bush and soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo in the past – believes she could be content on her own but thinks she will one day find love because it makes life “more entertaining”.

She said: “I feel like I don’t need a man, but I’m also such a hopeless romantic. I really think that having someone makes everything more entertaining.

“I don’t think you need a guy to make you happy but it’s nice to have one.”

The 29-year-old beauty – who has just split from Dallas Cowboys football player Miles Austin – is planning to be single for the foreseeable future but if she meets ‘Mr. Right’ she will make time for dates.

The 29-year-old star – who recently insisted she was not romantically interested in 16-year-old Justin Bieber – believes the key to a successful relationship is making a “connection”.

She said: “The oldest I’d date? I once went out with someone who was almost 50. I do like someone young and fun, but not 16 young, more like 26 young.

“Whoever your soul connects with, whoever you fall in love with no matter what the age. However, it might seem good when you’re 25 and they’re 50 but when you’re 50 and they’re75…”

The brunette beauty believes she never went off the rails when she was younger because her father wanted her to be “responsible” for her older sister Kourtney Kardashian, and even taught her to drive when she was just 14.

She explained to US TV host Jay Leno: “I’ve never been a drinker, I’ve never gotten into drugs, I have such a close family. My sisters do enough drinking to fill up the whole family so from a young age my dad made it clear I was the responsible one.

“And he taught me how to drive when I was 14 in case my sister or her friends were going to be drinking, and I had always had permission to drive, or else I had to call him from the destination to the final place…So I always felt this sense of pride that he had in me as the responsible one, so I’ve always wanted to make him proud.”

However, the reality TV star – who is dating NFL player Miles Austin –has finally found an alcoholic beverage she likes after promising her sisters she would be “less boring” before reaching 30.

She explained: “I hate the taste of alcohol.”

“I did say that, at 30, I’m going to have a drink to lighten up because my sisters say I’m so boring. So I tried a White Russian a few months ago…It tastes like chocolate milk, and it’s kind of amazing.”

Kim Kardashian wants four children

The reality TV star – who is in a relationship with NFL star Miles Austin – admits she has always wanted a large family, but has lowered her expectation as she has got older.

She said: “I do want kids. I want four. I started at six a few years ago.”

However Kim is not planning to rush into motherhood after seeing how difficult it has been for her sister Kourtney Kardashian to raise her eight-month-old son Mason.

Referring to Mason, Kim explained: “It kind of shows me what hard work it is and it kind of makes me want to step back a little bit and not have a baby right away.”

Kim is not the only member of the Kardashian family to be contemplating motherhood.

Her sister Kourtney has also admitted she and boyfriend Scott Disick would welcome becoming parents for the second time, though they are not deliberately trying to conceive.

She said: “I’m not trying but I’m not not trying. Me and Khloe are on the same plan. It’s a race”.

Earlier this year, Khloe Kardashian admitted she and husband Lamar Odom had stopped using contraception in preparation to have a family.

She said: “I’m not rushing it, but I’m also not doing anything to prevent it. We both want to have children together and I think we’re in an ideal situation. We’re just happy together.”

Kim Kardashian thinks it is “harder” to date sportsmen

The brunette beauty – who recently confirmed she is dating NFL star Miles Austin – said she would never date another footballer after ending her relationship with Reggie Bush earlier this year, but is determined to make her romance work this time around.

She said: “The reason I said I didn’t want to date football players was because they have very strict seasons and schedules and it makes a relationship really hard when you’re living apart. That’s not to say it’s impossible to make it work… it’s just harder.”

Kim Kardashian — ‘Stalker’ Won’t Leave Me Alone

Kim Kardashian claims her alleged stalker is trying to get back into her life — via Twitter — and TMZ has learned she’s now going to the cops to try and protect herself … and her NFL boyfriend Miles Austin.

Sources close to Kim tell us the reality star is “freaked out” … because the man she has a restraining order against, Dennis Shaun Bowman, has been recently ranting about her on Twitter and sending messages to Miles and her sister Khloe.

Kim and her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, believe the tweets could be a violation of the restraining order that’s already in place against Bowman.

Chapman Holley tells us, “I will be speaking with law enforcement detectives … to determine whether or not Mr. Bowman’s actions are a violation of the order in place restricting Mr. Bowman’s conduct toward Ms. Kardashian.”

As TMZ previously reported, a judge granted Kardashian’s request for a restraining order back in February — which means dude isn’t supposed to have any contact with her until 2013.

Lamar Odom – who married Kim’s sister Khloe in September 2009 – is delighted by the socialite’s romance with Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin, who she began dating in June.
