What Mila Wants?

by Alice on Sep.01, 2011, under Actress

Mila KunisMila Kunis wants to “eat her way around the world”

The ‘Friends with Benefits’ actress – who was born in the Ukraine but moved to the US aged seven – is keen to experience as much of the globe as she can in an bid to improve herself.

She said: “I hope I can improve myself. I love learning. If I could go to school and just take lectures, I would.

“But I love the History Channel and Discovery’s Health and Science channels and I love random facts like, where does the phrase, ‘Not my cup of tea,’ come from? I love to travel but when I travel I want to see everything. I love food, so I want to eat my way around every country. All I want to do is eat and walk around.”

The self-deprecating star also admits she regularly makes mistakes, but always hopes to “learn” from them.

She added in an interview with Stylist magazine: “Lord knows I make mistakes. I make mistakes daily and you can’t take them back so the only thing you can do is acknowledge them and learn from them and hopefully not make the same mistake again.”

“healthy balance” — Mila Kunis

by Lisa on Aug.12, 2011, under Actress

Mila KunisMila Kunis says having a breakdown was never an “option” for her

The ‘Friends With Benefits’ actress believes supportive family and friends have kept her grounded throughout her career, meaning she wouldn’t be the typical young Hollywood star who let her life spiral out of control.

The 27-year-old beauty – who became a teen star after appearing in ‘That ’70s Show’ – said: “There was never an option for me to go into a downward spiral because my parents are incredible people. I went to work, I went home, my friends weren’t in the industry. My best friend has been my best friend since I was nine years old. So I never thought of myself as anything other than a 15, 16, 17 year old. What I do and who I am are not the same person.

“But sure, you can get lost in it. And it’s less to do with the job and more to do with the world. This industry can eat you alive.”

Mila also says she will never let her career take over her life.

She told Britain’s Glamour magazine: “No one’s curing cancer in this industry, remember? It’s not changing the world. It’s just entertainment, an art form of escapism. My friends and family are my number one thing in life, but you need a healthy balance.”

What Mila Kunis Says On S-symbol

by Alice on Aug.08, 2011, under Actress

Mila KunisMila Kunis says it’s “fantastic” being a sex symbol

The actress has been surprised by all the male attention and adulation she has received since being catapulted to worldwide fame with roles in ‘Black Swan’ and ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ but is happy that so many guys are attracted to her.

She said: “It’s insane. Listen, I couldn’t be happier to get any of this, because I think it’s hysterical and it makes all my friends laugh. If somebody finds me attractive, God bless them, I think it’s fantastic.”

However, Mila admits there are some drawbacks to fame, with one being the amount of false rumours that circulate about her love life.

The 27-year-old actress – who dated Macaulay Culkin for over eight years – told the British edition of Glamour magazine: “Being single, I find myself not being able to be in a room with a man without, the next day, I’m dating that man. That happened for a solid six months after ‘Black Swan’ when maybe – maybe! – I’d been in the same room.”

And Mila is adamant she is not dating her ‘Friends with Benefits’ co-star Justin Timberlake, despite the relentless speculation.

Speaking about the heartthrob, she said: “He’s incredibly funny, we laughed a lot on set. [It's] an unfortunate thing that comes with the circumstances, but there’s no truth to it (that we’re dating) whatsoever.”

In the comedy movie, Mila and Justin play friends Jamie and Dylan who decide to eschew a platonic relationship in favour of a sexual one with no strings attached.

Justin And Mila’s — Sex Scenes

by Abbey on Jun.14, 2011, under Uncategorized

Justin TimberlakeJustin Timberlake’s sex scenes with Mila Kunis in ‘Friends With Benefits’ were “awkward”

The Hollywood heartthrob and the brunette beauty play lovers in the upcoming comedy movie, and Justin admits it wasn’t easy getting romantic in front of the cameras with Mila.

He said: “I’d be lying if I said filming the sex scenes wasn’t completely awkward … The producers and I agreed we would shoot a big chunk of the movie before we got down to the sex scenes, which was a good idea. That allowed Mila and me time to get comfortable. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to go all out for this.”

It had been predicted that his scenes in ‘Friends With Benefits’ – which focuses on two professionals who agree to have a sexual relationship with no strings attached – wouldn’t be the only awkward moments on a film set for Justin.

He stars with his ex-girlfriend Cameron Diaz in new movie ‘Bad Teacher’, which see’s the actress’ character Elizabeth Halsey romantically pursue Justin’s alter-ego Scott Delacorte, but he insists things were fine between them on set.

The singer-turned-actor – who dated the blonde beauty for almost four years until December 2006 – told Playboy magazine: “It sounds complicated to everybody else, but it wasn’t to us … We don’t talk to each other all the time, but we respect each other, and on some level we’ll always love each other – but in our new capacity as friends. I think the world of her.”

Natalie Portman — X-treme X-periences

by Abbey on Nov.29, 2010, under Actress, Entertainment, updates

Natalie PortmanNatalie Portman went through “extreme pain” to understand her character in ‘Black Swan’

The US actress had to live the “monastic” life of a ballet dancer to prepare for the film, and said putting herself through the physical hardships they have to endure helped her to into their right mindset for filming.

She explained: “The physical discipline of it really helped for the emotional side of the character because you get the sense of the monastic lifestyle of only working out, that is a ballet dancer’s life.

“You don’t drink, you don’t go out with your friends, you don’t have much food and you are constantly putting your body through extreme pain, so you get that understanding of the self-flagellation of a ballet dancer.”

The aspect of training for the role which Natalie – who stars as The Swan Queen opposite Mila Kunis as The Black Swan in the film – found hardest was the strict diet she had to adhere to.

The film’s director, Darren Aronofsky said: “There was really no money for the film and we had to push it back a lot of times. I actually don’t mind that, but I only found out recently that Natalie would just be screaming at her manager that she had to live on carrots and almonds for another three weeks. She was the one who suffered the most from not eating.”

Natalie added that as soon as the film had finished shooting she ate pasta “for breakfast, lunch and dinner” to celebrate.

‘Black Swan’ is released throughout Europe in January.

Mila Kunis Talks About “nerd heaven” kissing Experiences

by cyan on Dec.03, 2009, under Actress

Mila Kunis

The two actresses share a kiss in the forthcoming ballet dancer drama and Mila – who is dating actor Macaulay Culkin – is already tiring of the attention the scene is attracting, but admits she understands why people are so interested.

She said: “It’s two girls making out and guys have a thing for that – it’s silly but I can see why people care.

“Natalie is like every guy’s dream. She’s a nerd’s idea of heaven.”

Natalie has also spoken out about the scene, saying that it is an “extreme” moment.

She said: “It’s a very extreme movie, it’s like very extreme situations. It’s not explicit in any way.”

While Natalie had no problems locking lips with Mila, she says it was “hard” having to smooch both Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal in her latest movie ‘Brothers’.

She said: “I’ll be murdered if I say who was the better kisser. I’m probably the source of envy for getting to kiss both of those boys. It’s hard to be me.”

The 28-year-old actress also said she is now making a special effort to work on more demanding film roles in a bid to shed her “cute” title and embrace adulthood.

She explained: “I’m trying to find roles that demand more adulthood from me because you can get stuck in a very awful cute cycle as a woman in film – especially being such a small person. I’m a really late bloomer. In my own life, it’s only been the last couple of years where I’m like, I’m an adult.”
