Did MJ Really Drank Intravenous Drugs?

by Kavy on Sep.19, 2011, under Artist

Michael Jackson drank intravenous drugs, it is to be claimed in court

The late singer’s personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray faces trial next week over the involuntary manslaughter of the ‘King of Pop’ – who died of acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009 – and his legal team are reportedly planning to show how addicted the “crazy” star was to medications to help him sleep.

The claims come after an autopsy report showed the intravenously administered sedative was swilling in his stomach hours after his death.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Conrad Murray’s team can’t understand how Propofol got into the stomach.

“It does not make sense unless Michael drank it. To them that will show the world how much of an addict he was.

“Michael was acting crazy in his last few hours, demanding drugs to help him sleep. He was always playing with the bottles, who know what he did.”

Murray will also claim Michael was able to inject himself to feed his addictions and had detailed knowledge of painkilling medications and intravenous treatments after decades of drug abuse.

The source added: “Dr. Murray is confident he can convince a jury Michael could have self-administered his drugs.

“It paints a bad picture of him as his doctor for feeding his addiction but Dr. Murray still insists he didn’t dish out enough to kill him.”

Meanwhile, a key witness in the case has gone missing.

Pharmacist Tim Lopez – who claimed he sent large amounts of a powerful anaesthetic to Murray’s girlfriend shortly before the singer’s death – has moved to Thailand without telling authorities, and his friends and family have reportedly refused to reveal his exact whereabouts.

Now, prosecutors want to use an earlier testimony he gave as part of their evidence, with Judge Michael Pastor expected to make a decision in the next few days.

Opening arguments in the trial are scheduled to begin on September 26.

If convicted, the medic faces up to four years in jail.

Katy Perry And MJ’s Record

by Abbey on Aug.17, 2011, under Artist

Katy PerryKaty Perry has matched Michael Jackson’s record of having five number one hit singles from the same album on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart

The brunette beauty’s latest release ‘Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)’ made history as it became her fifth single from platinum record ‘Teenage Dream’ to reach the top spot, following the success of ‘California Gurls’, ‘Teenage Dream’, ‘Firework’ and ‘E.T.’, which has left the singer feeling “proud”.

The 26-year-old star took to her twitter account to announce the news earlier today (17.08.11), tweeting: “What a way to wake up! SO proud to announce that the little-engine-that-could of a song ‘LAST FRIDAY NIGHT’ is officially #1 & made HISTORY! (sic)”

Katy then praised her fans for helping her become the first woman to achieve the feat.

She wrote: “& u know, I couldn’t have done it with out ya, really I owe u guys BIG… so take this moment to give yourself a high FIVE!!! #allbecauseofu (sic)”

The exploit was last achieved by Michael – who died in 2009, aged 50 – when his 10-track album ‘Bad’ featured five number one singles, ‘I Just Can’t Stop Loving You’, ‘Bad’, ‘The Way You Make Me Feel’, ‘Man in the Mirror’ and ‘Dirty Diana’, between 1987 and 1988 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Was MJ Mentally Unstable?

by Abbey on Aug.16, 2011, under Artist

Michael JacksonNine medical staff are set to give evidence that Michael Jackson was mentally unstable at the time of his death

Lawyers acting for Dr. Conrad Murray – who is due to stand trial for the involuntary manslaughter of the music legend following his passing from acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009 – have a list of 103 potential witnesses, including doctors and nurses, in hope of strengthening his claim that he did not administer the lethal dose of the anaesthetic that killed the iconic singer by exposing Michael’s erratic behaviour and demanding personality.

Among those who could be called as witnesses are Dr. Arnold Klein – a dermatologist who Murray’s lawyers previously blamed for getting Michael addicted to painkillers – and Cherilyn Lee, a nurse who claims the ‘Thriller’ hitmaker asked her for Propofol in the weeks leading up to his death, but she refused to supply the powerful anaesthetic.

A source told RadarOnline.com: “Cherilyn is prepared to testify at the trial and tell the truth. Cherilyn has never spoken with anyone from the District Attorney’s office. She was interviewed in the weeks after Jackson’s death by the coroner and the LAPD. Cherilyn hasn’t heard from those agencies since that time.”

Dr. Neil Ratner, who toured with the singer in 1996 and 1997 is also on the witness list following previous claims that he would keep medical equipment which would monitor his client’s vital signs as he was “under.”

Ratner was allegedly hired to combat the singer’s sleeping problems by “taking him down” and “bringing him back up”, a CNN report has previously claimed.

It is expected that Murray’s lawyers will quiz Dr. Ratner about the specific details of his medical treatment for the star, as he has previously refused to disclose more than the fact Michael had a sleep disorder.

Dr. David Adams, a Las Vegas anaesthesiologist who gave the singer Propofol at least four times for medical reasons, will also be asked to testify.

According to a source, the defence feels “Dr. Adams is clearly relevant.”

Jury selection for the trial begins on September 8, with opening arguments scheduled to begin on September 26, with the case potentially lasting until November.

Dr. Murray could be jailed for up to four years if convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson’s kids are “pretty happy”

The late singer fathered children Prince, 14, Paris, 13 and ‘Blanket’, nine, and while they were homeschooled while he was alive, they are now adjusting to their lives without him.

A source said: “They are pretty happy kids now. Prince and Paris are going back to private this year. They love the social aspect of it. Paris really wants to be an actress. She loved taking acting classes.”

However Blanket continues to be shy and is schooled by himself at home.

The source added to People.com: “Blanket is still very, very shy. He’s still homeschooled.”

The three made a rare public appearance with their grandmother Katherine Jackson and aunt Latoya Jackson on Monday (08.08.11), where they attended a ceremony to donate some of Michael’s artwork.

In total 13 pieces of artwork created by the ‘Thriller’ singer – who died from acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009 – were given to the Los Angeles’ Children’s Hospital, including a picture of his icon Peter Pan and a drawing of his moonwalk, a dance move he was famous for.

The True Story — MJ Song

Michael Jackson‘Simpsons’ Bombshell — The TRUTH About MJ Song!!!

Michael Jackson hand-picked an MJ voice impersonator to sing the famous “Happy Birthday Lisa” song featured on “The Simpsons” back in 1991 … this according to Lisa herself, Yeardley Smith.

Smith was outside the Red O restaurant in L.A. this weekend, when she explained, “[Michael] was not allowed to sing on the show, so he literally hand-picked a guy to sing like him.”

During the famous episode, “Stark Raving Dad,” Michael provided the voice to a mental patient who thought he was MJ … but according to reports, Jackson’s record label blocked MJ from singing the Lisa birthday song.

MJ ultimately selected a man named Kipp Lennon — and Yeardley explains, “How unnerving would it be to sing like Michael Jackson in front of Michael Jackson?”

We called Kipp to find out — so far, no response.

D.A. — Don’t Sully Michael Jackson’s Character

The L.A. County District Attorney has filed a motion asking the judge in the Michael Jackson wrongful death case to stop Conrad Murray’s defense team from using any evidence involving the Nation of Islam.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, District Attorney Steve Cooley explains, “Evidence concerning the Nation of Islam … is irrelevant to this case because it does not relate to the defendant’s participation in Michael Jackson’s death.”

But there’s a deeper storyline — Cooley’s move is a preemptive strike to keep the defense from trying to make Michael Jackson look like a weirdo … and an unsympathetic character … and connecting MJ to the N.O.I. would make him very unsympathetic with a jury.

And Cooley wants to prevent the defense attacking MJ’s bodyguard Alberto Alvarez who claims he was ordered by Dr. Murray to hide evidence of Propofol in MJ’s bedroom.

Alvarez had been convicted of a misdemeanor 11 years ago, which Cooley believes is irrelevant.

MJ Family Offended by ‘A.I.’ Pepsi Moment

Michael Jackson’s family is offended by a comment made on “American Idol” last night by a contestant, who made light of MJ’s devastating injury that triggered years of drug abuse.

If you saw the show, James Durbin told Ryan Seacrest after his performance, “I have a lot of hairspray in my hair to keep it from jumping around — so much so, the one thing I was worried about was having a ‘Pepsi moment.’”

The “Pepsi moment” is a reference to the 1984 incident where Michael Jackson’s hair caught on fire during the filming of a Pepsi commercial, severely burning his scalp — an injury that triggered an addiction to prescription drugs that may have ultimately taken his life.

A Jackson family rep tells TMZ, “We were shocked to see this. It’s nothing to make light of and everybody should be focusing on who was responsible for Michael’s death.”

The rep says Joe was particularly upset that producers didn’t take the remark out of the West Coast feed.

Dr. Murray: Arnie Klein Made MJ a Demerol Addict

Dr. Conrad Murray’s lawyers just filed blistering legal docs, claiming Dr. Arnold Klein — Michael Jackson’s longtime doctor and friend — addicted him to Demerol and another powerful narcotic.

In legal papers obtained by TMZ, Murray’s legal team claims Klein fueled MJ’s drug dependency by giving him scores of Demerol injections in the months prior to his death. TMZ broke the story … in the 3 months before Jackson died, Dr. Klein gave MJ 51 Demerol injections.

The docs claim, “Due to Mr. Klein’s actions, Mr. Jackson became physiologically and psychologically dependent on Demerol.”

Murray’s team wants Klein to produce all his medical records, claiming “Dr. Klein is a relevant and highly material witness to the defense.”

New Docs Claim La Toya May Own M.J. Family Home

The war over Michael Jackson’s family house has just heated up … because legal docs have just been filed with the court claiming La Toya Jackson …. NOT the Michael Jackson Estate … may actually own the home.

Alejandra Jackson — the baby mama of Randy and Jermaine — has been living at the house with her kids, and the estate is going to court Tuesday trying to evict her.

In new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Alejandra’s lawyer claims Michael may have held the property in joint tenancy with La Toya, so when Michael died his interest in the house would have automatically gone to La Toya.

We checked the records of the L.A. County Recorder, and the title is currently held as Michael Jackson J Decd [deceased]. And Michael Kane, Michael’s business manager, is listed as a co-owner. La Toya’s name is never mentioned.

TMZ broke the story … Katherine Jackson is trying to evict Alejandra and her kids.

We’ll be at the hearing tomorrow.

MJ Doc Guilty Or Not

by Lisa on Jan.25, 2011, under Entertainment

Dr. Conrad Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson

The medic – who was the ‘Thriller‘ singer’s personal physician – appeared in front of Judge Michael Pastor today (25.01.11) at the Los Angeles County Superior Court and insisted he was “an innocent man”.

Members of Michael’s family, including his mother Katherine and his brother Randy, were in court to hear Dr. Murray’s plea.

Earlier this month, Dr. Murray – who was with Michael when he died of acute intoxication by the hospital grade anaesthetic Propofol at his Los Angeles home in June 2009 – was ordered to stand trial by Judge Pastor for involuntary manslaughter after a number of witnesses raised questions over his professional conduct.

During the preliminary hearing – where the prosecution had to convince the judge there is sufficient evidence for a full trial – witnesses included paramedics who attended the home where Michael died, his personal bodyguard and a Los Angeles detective who interviewed Dr. Murray.

The prosecution sought to show Dr. Murray had administered Propofol to his client on the day of his death before leaving him unmonitored.

Court testimonies further alleged Dr. Murray had not appeared to know how to correctly administer CPR, had tried to hide evidence of the medication he had been giving Michael and that by the time he called medics his client had already passed away.

The six-day hearing ended with testimony from two doctors who said they felt Dr. Murray acted outside of standard of medical care.

The 57-year-old medic – who was released on $75,000 bail – will next appear in court on February 7 and the selection of the jury for his trial will begin on March 28.

If convicted, Dr. Murray faces a maximum of four years in prison.

MJ — Drugs B4 Death

by Alice on Jan.11, 2011, under Artist, Singer

MJ -- Drugs B4 Death

Michael Jackson’s doctor told police he had given the singer Propofol six nights a week for months before he died

A preliminary hearing into the cause of the ‘Thriller’ singer’s death heard testimony from Los Angeles police detective Orlando Martinez yesterday (11.01.11), who said that in interview the singer’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, admitted he had been giving the later singer the powerful anaesthetic for two months before his death.

Michael was found dead from acute Propofol intoxication at his rented Los Angeles house on June 25 2009, while he was under the care of Dr. Murray – who has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

The doctor told police he was worried the ‘Thriller’ singer had become addicted to Propofol – a powerful anaesthetic, not usually used outside hospitals – and had started to wean him off it two nights earlier.

According to the police interview with Dr. Murray, on the day of Michael’s death he had administered 25 milligrams of the anaesthetic — about half the usual dose at around 10.40am, after the singer had complained about not being able to sleep ahead of rehearsals for his scheduled 50 comeback shows in London.

Orlando quoted Murray as saying: “Mr. Jackson began to complain that he couldn’t sleep and that he would have to cancel his rehearsal and cancel his shows if he couldn’t get any sleep since he couldn’t perform.”

Dr. Murray said after giving the dose of Propofol, he only left Michael alone for two minutes before returning and realising he wasn’t breathing. However, the prosecution say emergency services show he didn’t call paramedics until 12.21pm.

When questioned by police as to why he said this was, Orlando said: “He said he was caring for his patient and he did not want to neglect him,”

Earlier in yesterday’s hearing, pharmacist Tim Lopez, owner of Applied Pharmacy Services in Las Vegas, where Murray has a clinic, testified to having supplied the doctor with 255 vials of Propofol during the three months before the singer died.

The four shipments of Propofol were purchased between April 6 and June 10, 2009, with most of the drugs shipped to the home of Murray’s girlfriend in Los Angeles.

One of the key points the prosecution are hoping to convince the judge of is that the doctor was distracted when he should have been monitoring the singer but they claim he sent emails and made phonecalls after administering the drug.

Earlier in the hearing, waitress Sade Anding testified she had been on the phone with the doctor at 11.57am, when he realised something was wrong.

She said: “I didn’t hear him on the phone anymore. I heard commotion as if the phone was in a pocket, and I heard coughing, and I heard a mumbling of voices.”

The hearing seek to establish there is enough evidence for Dr. Murray to face a full trial for involuntary manslaughter and will continue later today (11.01.11).

Is Prince Michael, Going 2 Testify @ Prelim?

Michael JacksonMichael JacksonMichael Jackson’s Son Will Not Be Witness at Prelim

The prosecutor in the Michael Jackson manslaughter preliminary hearing — which begins tomorrow — will not call Michael’s eldest son, Prince Michael, to testify about what he saw the day his dad died … sources tell TMZ.

Dr. Conrad Murray has said after administering CPR he ran downstairs and asked the chef to send up Prince Michael, who saw his dad’s lifeless body laying in the bed.

In fact, we’re told no one from MJ’s family will be called to the stand during the prelim.

As TMZ first reported, prosecutors plan to call 30 witnesses during the 2-week prelim … many of whom will be medical professionals offering opinions about the standard of care administered by Dr. Murray.

There will be no “star witness” in the prelim. Sources tell us the various witnesses will form building blocks, making the case that Dr. Murray acted recklessly by administering Propofol and other drugs to Jackson the day he died.

MJ’s Health B4…Concert Tours…?

by tmz on Jan.01, 2011, under Artist, Entertainment, Singer

Michael Jackson Concert Tours on Trial

TMZ has learned … Michael Jackson’s weakened state during various concert tours throughout his life — as well as preparations for the London concerts that never took place — could become powerful evidence in the defense of Dr. Conrad Murray.

Sources connected with the criminal case tell TMZ … there’s “compelling evidence” that MJ was in weakened health whenever he went on tour. Specifically, people who went on various tours — including the “Bad” and “Dangerous” concerts — say Jackson was frequently “dehydrated, medicated, and sleep-deprived.”

Just like with Dr. Murray, Jackson had a doctor who accompanied him during rehearsals and tours, attending to his needs.

The point … the grueling concert schedules reduced MJ to a physical mess, prone to relying on and demanding drugs to sleep.

The “This Is It” London tour was especially grueling, because AEG added dozens of concert dates for Michael, who was already in an extremely weakened state and terrified he would fail.

All of this dovetails into a defense theory … that Jackson felt enormous pressure to rehearse for the “This Is It” tour, and when he couldn’t sleep he relied on Propofol to do the trick. The defense believes when Murray walked out of the room and Jackson woke up, he accidentally infused himself with a fatal dose of the drug out of frustration and fear.

Freida Pinto used to think she was a “great” Michael Jackson

The ‘Miral’ actress had dreamed of growing up to be a performer for a young age and used to practise routines – including those of the late King of Pop – in front of her mirror.

She admitted: “I have dreamt since I was the age of five that I wanted to become an actress. I didn’t know that I would do it professionally. But I knew that this was my area of interest.

“I would stand in front of the mirror and for the longest time I really thought that I was a great Michael Jackson impersonator.”

As well as dreaming of a career in the spotlight, Freida spent much of her childhood travelling the world and was grateful for the opportunities she had.

She told Total Film magazine: “Both my grandfather and my uncle were in the army – which meant we travelled a lot.

“As an army man, you keep getting posted in different places, so we’d use that as an opportunity to visit them and see new places.”

New Michael Jackson Tracks — Real or Phony?

New Michael Jackson Tracks — Real or Phony?

Two of Michael Jackson’s children are adamant — some of the soon-to-be released MJ song tracks are frauds.

As we have been reporting, Sony will be releasing a Michael Jackson album before Christmas, featuring 10 – 12 original tracks. We’re told 5 of the tracks were recorded at the New Jersey home of record producer Eddie Cascio.

Michael and his kids stayed at Cascio’s family home for 4 months in 2007, when the tracks were recorded, along with remixes that were released on the Thriller 25 Album.

The Jackson family believes the Cassio tracks in question were fakes — sung by a Michael Jackson sound-alike. We’re told Prince says he was upstairs at the Cascio’s house when many of the tracks were recorded and was able to hear the music, and none of what he heard matches the Sony tracks.

We’re also told Paris is “adamant” — she does not believe her dad’s voice is on the tracks in question.

But the estate claims there are sound experts who say conclusively the tracks are the real deal.

People connected with the Sony project believe the kids are being “manipulated” by Katherine Jackson and other family members who don’t want the album released.

Joe Jackson — I Want A Half A Billion Bucks

Michael Jackson’s dad, Joe Jackson, wants somewhere between $10 million and $500 million from Dr. Conrad Murray to compensate him for the loss of his son’s support … this according to new documents obtained by TMZ.

In the docs — part of Joe’s wrongful death lawsuit — he claims the money he seeks is in “the realistic range of provable damages.”

Joe says 20% of his damages are for loss of support, 40% are for emotional distress and 40% are for “loss of comfort, aid, society and companionship.”

And this is huge … Dr. Murray says he’s broke and can’t settle anything because his insurance company is refusing to cover him.

Joe’s lawyer, Brian Oxman, also says he may take the depositions of more than 60 people who have info regarding Jackson’s death.

Dr. Murray says in his new filings he does not want to sit for a deposition until after the criminal case runs its course. It’s a whole 5th Amendment thing.

New Claim: Michael Jackson Supported His Dad

New Claim: Michael Jackson Supported His Dad

Michael Jackson secretly supported daddy Joe Jackson … according to new legal docs.

In legal docs filed in Joe’s wrongful death case against Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael’s former alleged manager, Leonard Rowe, wrote a sworn statement in which he claims Katherine acted as Michael’s agent, funneling money to Joe for support.

And Joe’s lawyer, Brian Oxman, wrote his own declaration in which he claims he prepared financial docs for Michael during his 2004 custody battle with Debbie Rowe. In those declarations, Oxman claims Michael disclosed he was giving Katherine $50,000 a month in the early 2000s and later it went up to $66,000. Oxman says Katherine used part of the money to pay for Joe’s living expenses.

The legal docs are being used in the wrongful death case to prove Joe has standing to sue — in other words, he must show Michael had been supporting Joe during his lifetime.

Michael’s camp had no comment.

Jermaine Jackson squeezed into one of his old Jackson 5 costumes to perform a tribute to Michael in Vegas this weekend – but the whole thing could ignite some serious family drama.

While cameras rolled, Jermaine performed a series of Michael Jackson’s classics to a packed house at the concert hall at the Planet Hollywood Resort.

Here’s the rub — Jermaine is legally allowed to cover the MJ songs in concert, but if he uses the recorded footage to create and then sell a DVD, album or TV special — he would need to go through the Michael Jackson estate to secure permission.

So far, it’s unclear if Jermaine did get the green light — but if not, the MJ estate could bring legal action against Jermaine to protect its most valuable asset … Michael’s music.

FYI … Michael’s kids — Prince, Paris and Blanket — were all at the show.

Jermaine’s Child Support Plea — I’m Broke, No Joke

Jermaine Jackson claims he can’t afford to pay child support because his business is failing and his career is in the tank — in fact, according to new legal docs, MJ’s bro can barely make ends meet.

Jermaine just filed new child support papers in L.A. County Superior Court — obtained by TMZ — grousing that he’s expected to pay $3,000 a month in child support for sons Jaafar and Jermajesty … even though his average monthly income for the last year has been under $1,100.

Jermaine is asking the judge to slash support payment to $215 a month.

According to the docs, Jermaine made a onetime appearance on “Big Brother” back in 2007, raking in a handsome $450,000 for his troubles — but since then, Jermaine claims his business has floundered.
