Angelina Jolie is looking forward to an “adventurous” Christmas

The ‘Tourist‘ actress – who raises six children Maddox, nine, Pax, seven, Zahara, five, Shiloh, four and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with her partner Brad Pitt – revealed the busy family are excited about taking off for a special Christmas abroad.

She said: “We’re going to travel with the kids and go to a random part of the world. We’re going to travel and have an adventure because that’s what we love to do.”

Although the Jolie – Pitts will be travelling, Angelina revealed the children won’t have to worry about getting their Christmas presents because the organised mum-of-six has already sorted them out.

She told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show: “I’ve got it all boxed and ready to go. I went through it today. I’m trying to get every stocking right and all the wrapping paper.”

Angelina recently compared herself to other working mothers and said she is lucky to be able to have time off to spend with her children.

She said: “I’m very fortunate in that I can work for two weeks on ‘The Tourist’ and be off for five months. Most working mothers work a lot more hours than I do. I think I’m just like other women, and every woman has a side to them that’s just extremely nurturing, and has a side to them that’s behind closed doors.

“I’m a mom first and foremost, and that’s what keeps me grounded and happy.”

Angelina Jolie has bought Brad Pitt a £250,000 “family wedding” ring

The ‘Tourist‘ star – who raises six children, Maddox, eight, Pax, seven, Zahara, five, Shiloh, four, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne – splashed out on the “exquisite” personalised gift, for her lover’s 47th birthday tomorrow (18.12.10).

An insider said: “The band has each of their children’s names on it and Angie’s on the top.

“This is a family wedding band to symbolise Brad isn’t just married to Angelina but to the family as a whole. It was described as absolutely exquisite.”

As well as fitting seven names onto the ring, Angelina also requested it be engraved with “mystical” references that are personal to the couple.

The source told the Daily Star newspaper: “She told me there are mystical references to his 47th birthday that have also been engraved on the band and the family all have their own interpretations of what the band means to them and of what 47 means to them.”

Angelina Jolie can never have a bath in peace

The ‘Tourist’ actress – who raises six children, Maddox, nine, Pax, six, Zahara, five, Shiloh, four and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with partner Brad Pitt – is amazed at how well she copes having such limited time alone as she has always preferred her own company.

She said: “You try to take a bath alone and everybody comes in.

“You just give it up. I’ve shocked myself because I’m somebody that likes to be on my own. But I’m surprised how much I’m very happy to be surrounded by everybody in my family.

“It’s alright. I feel that comfort.”

Earlier this year, Angelina admitted she rarely has time alone but knows it is the same for every parent.

Describing a typical day, she said: “I wake up. I’ve got four kids in bed with me and Brad is on the phone and with the twins.

“I just don’t get any solitude – most people with kids don’t. Sometimes you get a bath or a shower but usually somebody is trying to get in. You get used to it.”

However, the 35-year-old beauty explained that support from actor Brad helped her to keep everything under control.

She added at the time: “Brad and I take turns – like now, he’s working so I’m home with the kids and then in four months I’ll be itching to do something. It does balance itself out mainly because I have an extraordinary partner who gives me that time.”

Angelina Jolie likes having her children on movie sets

The 35-year-old beauty – who raises kids Maddox, nine, Pax, seven, Zahara, five, Shiloh, four and twins Knox and Vivienne, two with Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt – loved having them on set with her during the filming of new movie ‘The Tourist’ and reveals they laughed at her portrayal of English character Elsie Ward in the film.

She said: “It’s always fun to have family on set. I think it wouldn’t be the same without them. They get to come and laugh at mommy for playing dress up and having a funny accent.

“Fortunately, we’ve given them a love of discovering new places and new people and new cultures. And they like to pack their bags and have new adventures.”

Angelina relished the opportunity to play a “real lady” on the project alongside Johnny Depp as it was something new for her.

She told MTV News: “I liked that she was a real lady, a real European lady, and I’ve never played that before. I thought it was a challenge for me to be a girl, a real girly girl.”

She recently revealed she hoped her kids would grow up to be “beautiful individuals” who are “happy and loved”.

She said: “Hopefully they are happy, and they know that they were loved, and that they were encouraged to be who they are, and not pushed into something that they’re not.

“Hopefully they’ll be the strong, beautiful individuals that they are today, and be happy in their lives, be fulfilled in their lives, and be living their lives honestly.”

Angelina Jolie is trying to raise her children as “individuals”

The ‘Tourist’ actress – who raises Maddox, nine, Pax, seven, Zahara, five, Shiloh, four, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with partner Brad Pitt - said she wants nothing more for her kids than for them to be comfortable with themselves.

She said: “Hopefully I’m giving my children the sense that they are deeply loved and deeply safe. At the same time we are hopefully encouraging their individuality as they get to know who they are, and not getting in the way of that. That’s why they are six very strong individuals.”

The Oscar-winning star revealed part of encouraging her children’s’ individuality is allowing them to develop their own identities and admitted she cannot understand the recent controversy when she allowed her daughter Shiloh to cut her hair short and dress like a boy.

Angelina added to YOU Magazine: “I don’t think it’s for the world to interpret anything. She likes to dress like a boy and wants her hair cut like a boy and she wanted to be called John for a while. Some kids wear capes and want to be Superman and she wants to be like her brothers. It’s who she is. It’s been a surprise to us and it’s really interesting, but she’s so much more than that – she’s funny and sweet and pretty. But she does love a tie.”

Angelina Jolie wants to move to Africa in the future

The ‘Tourist’ star – who raises six children, Maddox, nine, Pax, seven, Zahara, five, Shiloh, four, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, with her partner Brad Pitt – plans to move her brood to the continent when she decides to accept less acting work.

She said: “I can imagine in the years to come that I might slow down on the work front. It’s not that I’d be retiring, there just might be fewer films at some point. “The truth is I’d love to live in Africa at some point. I’d love to  spend more time flying planes. And artistically, there will be other things to do.”

The 35-year-old actress has also revealed she doesn’t think she and Brad, 46, will make another film together, because they are never
offered joint projects. The couple famously met and fell in love on the set of 2005 action movie “Mr. and Mrs. Smith“, while Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston.

Angelina added: “We don’t get offered a lot of films together. We discuss it because there’s always a girl in his film or a guy in mine. On one hand, we’d love to work together and bring the kids with us on that adventure.

“As much as we’d like to indulge as artists and play together, we’d only do it if the movie could be fun for the fans.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt celebrated son Pax’s seventh birthday with a river boat cruise in Paris

The couple took the youngster and three of his siblings – Maddox, nine, Zahara, five, and four-year-old Shiloh – on the French city’s River Seine yesterday evening (28.11.10) in a chartered boat named Josephine.

Birthday boy Pax was treated to a special cake while the boat was decorated with balloons.

Despite the cold weather Pax, Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh all seemed to have a great time although there was no sign of their two-year-old twin siblings Knox and Vivienne.

As well as celebrating Pax’s birthday, earlier in the day Brad and Angelina had taken Zahara and Shiloh Christmas shopping in the French capital.

The little girls were seen trying on clothes at the Bonpoint boutique, with Shiloh picking out trousers and a pair of zebra-patterned boots while Zahara chose black suede boots and a dress.

Shiloh – who is known for her tomboy style – also picked out two sets of medieval knight’s tunics for her and Pax, and also chose a large plastic alligator for Knox.

A fellow shopper at the store told People magazine: “Angelina was great. She’s patient, and a very hands-on mother, making certain everything fits.

“Brad was very agreeable, absolutely polite and excellent with the girls.”

Angelina Jolie has hinted she may marry Brad Pitt in the future

Although the couple – who have been together since 2005 – haven’t seriously considered tying the knot the actress does think being someone’s wife is a special thing.

Angelina – who raises six children, Maddox, eight, Zahara, five, Pax, six, Shiloh, four, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, with Brad – said: “I do think marriage is a lovely thing as I’ve tried it twice before, but we haven’t felt the need to do it yet. We have already made the greatest commitment of having a family together.”

The ‘Salt’ star – who has previously been married to actors Billy Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller – also revealed one of the best things about her relationship with Brad is the fact they push each other to be better people.

She added to new! magazine: “We push each other to be better, even if it’s just a better bike rider or better pilot. We ‘re constantly in competition.”

Angelina – who is a qualified pilot - loves flying and enjoys being able to escape her hectic lifestyle when she is in the air.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have splashed out on a $40 million Italian home.

The couple – who raise six children together -  have reportedly bought a 15-bedroom mansion located in the hills of Valpolicella, Verona, with seven bathrooms, a home cinema, gym, two swimming pools, and Jacuzzi spread out over 18,000 square feet.

Property Consultant Alexander Proto said: “They wanted something more exclusive and in record time to spend the summer vacation in Italy.”

The pair reportedly looked at two cheaper properties – for sale at around $10 million – before splashing out on the bigger home, which they are expected to use for vacations.

Meanwhile, Angelina has confessed that she is scared of her children growing up.

The 35-year-old beauty – who raises Maddox, eight, Pax, six, Zahara, five, Shiloh, four, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with Brad – admitted she can’t stand thinking of the youngsters getting old enough to have more freedom.

The 35-year-old star – whose mother Marcheline Bertrand died of cancer in 2007 – claims she has always been adventurous and is delighted to see some of her traits echoed in her children.

She added: “I was always fearless and now I have those fearless kids — Pax and Shiloh.

“I had a very strong mother. She was the kindest and most loving person I had ever known in my life and her faith and integrity were so strong they were unbreakable.

Angelina Jolie claims Brad Pitt made her believe in the idea of one true love.

The ‘Salt’ actress – who has previously been married to actors Billy Bob Thornton and Johnny Lee Miller – believes she will be with the actor, who she raises six children with, for the rest of their lives.

When asked if she believes in one true love, she said: “He makes me feel like there is.

“Will we grow old together? Of course. We wouldn’t have six children if we weren’t absolutely sure of that.”

Angelina Jolie learned to fly as a birthday present for her son.

The actress – who raises six children with partner Brad Pitt – took pilot lessons after realising how much her eldest child, Maddox, now eight, enjoyed watching planes go by.

She explained: “When Maddox was one and a half, we used to go to the airfield, have lunch and watch the planes. And it dawned on me: I could fly. So I promised him I would fly by his second birthday.”

Angelina Jolie is worried her family will get so big she won’t have “enough time” to raise her children “really well”.

The actress admits she and her partner Brad Pitt – who she raises six children with – are open to the idea of having more kids but both want to ensure that each member of the family has “special time”.

She said in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine: “We’re not opposed to it (having more children). But we want to make sure we can give everybody special time. They’re kids now, and can play together, but they’re going to need a lot more talking in the middle of the night, like I did with my mom for hours. We want to make sure we don’t build a family so big that we don’t have absolutely enough time to raise them each really well.”

Sandra & Angelina — The Adoption Connection

Sandra Bullock and Angelina Jolie share a very interesting connection — and it all has to do with their adopted babies Louis Bardo and Maddox, respectively … and the timing of their divorces.

Sandra told People Magazine she and Jesse James set the wheels in motion to adopt Louis Bardo together … but divorce changed the plan.  Sandra now says she’s filing for single parent adoption.

TMZ has learned that’s exactly what happened between Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton.  Although this has not been reported, sources connected with their divorce in 2003 tell TMZ, Angie and B.B. were going to jointly adopt Maddox, but when they decided to divorce, the plan changed and Billy Bob backed out of the adoption.

Adoption experts we’ve spoken with say turning a husband/wife adoption into a single parent adoption can complicate the adoption process … but it seems to have worked out for both Angelina and Sandra.

The actress – who earlier this month was reported to be preparing to tie the knot with her long-term partner – is said to have decided it was time to make Brad her husband during the couple’s stay in Venice, where Angelina was shooting new movie ‘The Tourist’.

The ‘Tomb Raider’ star – who raises six children with partner Brad Pitt – took their oldest child Maddox and his siblings Pax, six, Zahara, five, and three-year-old Shiloh on a shopping spree, where she splashed out on gifts and toys for the youngsters, including youngest children Knox and Vivienne, 18 months.

An onlooker said: “One of the store’s employees helped Angelina pick out an iPod Touch for Maddox.

“The other children played on one of the kiddie computers while their bodyguard watched them.”

After picking up some gadgets, the family moved on to the Disney Store, where she bought more toys, and department store Bloomingdale’s, where the actress treated herself to a few items.

Earlier this week, Brad and Angelina donated $1 million to help earthquake victims on the Caribbean island of Haiti.

In a statement the couple, who also run charity The Jolie-Pitt Foundation, said: “We will work closely with our good friend Wyclef Jean to support the humanitarian efforts on the island and help those who have been injured and left without homes and shelter.”

Angelina is well known for her passion for good causes, having adopted three of her children from poverty around the world – Maddox from Cambodia, Zahara from Ethiopia and Pax from Vietnam.

It has been revealed the Hollywood couple – who raise six children together – gave away the giant sum of cash to several different charities last year after raising the money through their Jolie-Pitt Foundation.

According to The Hollywood Reporter – which has received a copy of the 2008 tax return for the charity – the Jolie-Pitt Foundation banked $13 million in 2008 and over half was given back to good causes.

The Global Health Council, an organisation which aims to reduce disease and death globally, received $2 million from the couple.

Brad’s Make It Right Foundation and the Human Rights Watch were each granted $1 million from the celebrity pair.

The rest of the money was split between The Armed Services YMCA of the US Army, who were given $500,000, schools in Brad Pitt’s hometown in Springfield, Missouri, which received $50,000, and around $1 million went towards projects in Cambodia, where their eight-year-old adopted son Maddox is from.

Last year, Brad and Angelina sold the rights for the first images of their twins, Knox and Vivienne – who were born on July 12 2008 – for several million dollars. This money is believed to have been donated to the Jolie-Pitt Foundation – which they formed in 2006 to aid global humanitarian causes.

They also raise five-year-old son Pax and daughters Zahara, four and three-year-old Shiloh.

The Oscar-winning actress – who already has three adopted children, as well as three biological ones, with partner Brad Pitt – has reportedly started the process to bring home a baby girl from the Asian country.

However, Brad is said to not be keen on the idea but an undeterred Angelina began the proceedings on her own.

A source said: “He has made it clear that six children are more than he can handle. The idea of one more seemed ludicrous, but Angie is determined to complete her rainbow family.”

A spokesman for the Immigration and Naturalisation Service in Washington D.C. confirmed that “only Angelina’s name was on the adoption papers.”

Angelina adopted her eldest son Maddox – now eight – from Cambodia in 2001, while she was still married to second husband Billy Bob Thornton, but was legally his only parent.

After splitting from Billy, she went on to adopt Zahara from Ethiopia in 2005 and soon after getting together with Brad, he legally became the father of both children.

The couple then had their first biological child, Shiloh, in May 2006 before adopting Pax – now five – from Vietnam in March 2007.

They then became the proud parents of twins, Knox and Vivienne, who were born in July 2008.
