Heidi Klum and her husband Seal are buying a Los Angeles property worth $13.4 million

The couple have fallen in love with the 12,300-square-foot Mediterranean-style home in Brentwood and have reportedly had an offer accepted.

Rebecca Ross, a Hilton & Hyland estate agent who had the listing for the property, has refused to disclose the identity of the buyer but did tell The Hollywood Reporter it had sold for “significantly more than the asking price” of $13.4 million.

She added: “There were multiple buyers interested, so there was a bidding war.”

The lavish property – which was previously owned by an investment banker – was first put on the market in October after failing to sell at a June auction.

The house boasts eight bedrooms, a kitchen complete with a fireplace dating back to 1603 which was imported from Scotland and a library fireplace which is allegedly from late military leader Napoleon’s farmhouse in France.

When Heidi and Seal move into the house, which is part of the Brentwood Country Estates gated community in Mandeville Canyon, their neighbours will include California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and TV journalist Maria Shriver.

The couple raise four children together, Leni, six, Henry, five, Johan, three, and 13-month-old Lou, and have been married for five years.

‘NCIS’ Shoot Infiltrated by Menace with Lightsaber

LL Cool J’s “NCIS: Los Angeles” shoot almost turned into a crime scene yesterday – when a random dude carrying a lightsaber started making trouble on the set … and wound up in handcuffs.

It all went down in Venice, CA — where the troublemaker kept barging onto the set and yelling at the cast … while LL Cool J gave him a steady dose of the stink eye.

After several interruptions, cops finally swooped in and put the guy in handcuffs so the crew could finish their shoot.

We’re told the wannabe Jedi was eventually released — no charges will be filed.

The Oscar-winning actress and her ‘Case 39’ co-star have been house-hunting together in Los Angeles because they want to take their relationship to the next level.

A source is quoted by gossip blogger Perez Hilton as saying: “Until Renee, Bradley had a reputation as a ladies’ man and a heartbreaker, but he seems so happy with her. They prefer to stay in rather than hang out at showbusiness parties, and he has already introduced her to his parents.”

In October, it was reported Renee was going to be introduced to Bradley’s parents so he could get their approval.

A source said: “Things have been heading in this direction for the two of them for a while, but this definitely solidifies how serious they are.”

“It’s quite serious. Renee and Bradley are crazy about each other.”

The ‘Mean Girls’ actress wants to remove herself from her partying lifestyle in Los Angeles and is teaming up with the BBC to make a documentary about the trafficking of women and children in the country.

A source said: “Lindsay is trying to better herself and get away from her party girl image. She wants to be taken more seriously.

“She is excited about escaping the drama of Los Angeles and doing something real.”

The 23-year-old star is due to fly out of Los Angeles today (08.12.09) and will return on December 12, where she plans to continue her good deeds by teaming up with local hospitals to give toys to sick children.

Lindsay has previously claimed she can “help people” through her acting career.

She said: “I love to act and write and be creative and I want to help people by playing characters that can send a positive message out to whomever may need it.”

Lindsay also wants to use her past experiences to help others, and hopes to start her own charity.

She added: “I’ve been through a lot in my life. I’d like to have my own charity, do work overseas, be in Oscar-nominated films, write movies, produce movies, shows and videos, design clothes, make music and write books.”

The ‘Burn After Reading’ star had been due to attend the Grand Prix Ball Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates on October 31, but failed to show up.

Photographs later revealed he had joined partner Angelina Jolie and their six children trick-or-treating for Halloween in Los Angeles.

A source told Life and Style magazine: “He’s spending more time with the family and doing less of these appearances, even though it’s a huge sum of cash.”

A spokesperson for the event – which featured performances from Beyonce Knowles, Aerosmith and Timbaland, and raised money for clean water charity Fresh2o – admitted Brad had been expected to attend and was unsure why he had shunned the huge appearance fee.

James Magee, a representative for Global Event Management, said: “We were told he would be attending as the guest of the Tourism Development and Investment Company. But he was a no-show, and nobody seemed to know why.”

Officers were called to the socialite’s Los Angeles home after neighbours allegedly saw her and Doug Reinhart “shoving each other” and screaming loudly.

According to gossip website TMZ, Doug went to get into his car, prompting Paris to scream, “Don’t go, don’t go”, before they started rowing, eventually going back inside the property.

Police responded after being alerted to “drunk people arguing” and spoke to the 28-year-old heiress before leaving.

Despite the reports, Paris insists her neighbour was mistaken and she and Doug, 24, were not involved in the altercation.

She said: “Doug and I were in bed, sound asleep, when Doug’s houseguests from hell got into an argument. We had nothing to do with it. Doug told the LAPD that his guests’ fight was over and that we had nothing to do with it.”

The reality TV star was taken to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after complaining of feeling unwell and doctors quickly diagnosed her as suffering from the illness.

Her representative said: “Nicole has checked into Cedars-Sinai where she is being treated for pneumonia. She is doing well.”

Over the weekend, Nicole – who has two children, 22-month-old Harlow and two-month-old Sparrow with partner Joel Madden – had spoken about not feeling well.

She wrote on her Twitter page: “OK cold, it’s been six days. Let’s part ways graciously and keep it moving.”

Earlier this week, Nicole was granted a restraining order against two paparazzi who she claims caused her recent car accident.

The 28-year-old socialite appeared in court to testify how the two male photographers, Eduardo Arrivabene and Ivon Miguel, had been hounding her constantly.

The judge ruled the two men are to stay 50 yards away from Nicole and her two children for the next three years

Earlier this year, she auctioned off numerous items from her wardrobe to raise money for the Dream Foundation, a charity which helps adults suffering from life-threatening illnesses.

Kim said at the time: “I love to be able to pass along some of my favourite pieces to someone else who will get to enjoy them as much as I have. I even sell many items I never had a chance to where.”

Evan Chandler – whose son Jordy was 13 when he claimed in 1993 the pop star had molested him – was discovered in bed holding a firearm with a gun shot wound to the head. He was 65

The former Beverly Hills dentist was found by a concierge at his waterfront Jersey City apartment in New Jersey on November 5 after he failed to keep a doctors appointment.

News of his death only emerged yesterday (17.11.09).

It comes just five months after his son’s alleged abuser Michael Jackson died at his Los Angeles home from acute Propofol intoxication.

A police source said: “We have ruled it as suicide because he was found with a gun held to his body. He had a single bullet wound to the side of his head.

“There was no note but officers did find medication in keeping with a serious medical condition.”

Dad-of–four Chandler’s claim that Jackson had abused his son triggered the singer’s fall from grace in the early 90s.

A 13-month police probe followed including a raid on Jackson’s Neverland Ranch, in California.

The case never reached court after Jordy was given a $22 million settlement and signed a contract agreeing never to talk about the allegations.

After the public furore following the allegations, divorcee Evan underwent a series of bizarre cosmetic surgery operations, just as Michael did.

Jordy – now 29 and living in Long Island, New York, under an assumed name – had fallen out with his father.

He took out a restraining order against him in 1996 claiming his dad had attacked him with a dumbbell weight.

In the same year, Evan filed a $60 million lawsuit against Michael and his then-wife Lisa Marie Presley for talking about the case – allegedly breaching the confidentiality contract.

The officer in charge of the suicide probe, former Santa Barbara County Sheriff Jim Thomas, said yesterday: “Everybody in this whole saga was touched tragically.”

The ‘30 Rock’ star is co-hosting next year’s ceremony with Steve Martin and believes there are higher expectations on the comic actor because he has fronted the Oscars ceremony before.

He quipped: “It is all on Steve. Steve Martin has done this before, while for me it is the first time. All the pressure is on Steve Martin.”

Despite his confidence, the actor is still amazed he was given the job and keeps waiting for someone to cancel his booking.

He joked: “I am doing it until they change their mind. I do have some preparations, but it is a secret.”

Steve – who fronted the 73rd and 75th Academy Awards – and Alec are the first people to co-host the ceremony since the first Oscars show in 1929.

Producers Adam Shankman and Bill Mechanic said: “We think the team of Steve and Alec are the perfect pair of hosts for the Oscars.

“Steve will bring the experience of having hosted the show in the past and Alec will be a completely fresh personality for this event.”

The 82nd Academy Awards take place on March 7 at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles.

The ‘All For You’ hitmaker will sing a medley to start the 2009 ceremony on November 22, which sees her late brother Michael Jackson – who died of acute Propofol intoxication in June – nominated in five categories.

American Music Awards producer Larry Klein said: “We’re thrilled about having Janet Jackson open this year’s show.

“She is an incredibly dynamic performer and I think the audience will be excited to see what she has in store.”

This will be the fourth AMAs performance for the star, who has won nine of the awards in previous years, and follows her moving tribute to her brother at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards in September.

It was announced earlier this week Whitney Houston – who has won a huge 21 AMAs from 37 nominations – will be honoured with the International Artist Award and perform her new single ‘I Didn’t Know My Own Strength’ at the star-studded ceremony.

Other stars to perform at this year’s AMAs at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre include Lady Gaga, Eminem, Jay-Z, Shakira, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Green Day, Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.

The ‘I Look To You’ singer – who has won a staggering 21 AMAs from 37 nominations – will be handed the International Artist Award at the star-studded ceremony later this month and will perform her new single ‘I Didn’t Know My Own Strength’.

AMA producer Larry Klein said: “We’re honoured to have Whitney Houston back on the AMA stage after 10 years.

“She has won the most AMAs of any female artist in history and is without a doubt an international superstar so it’s only fitting we honour her with the International Artist Award this year at such an important time in her career.”

The International Artist Award has only been presented seven times in the awards’ 36-year history.

Previous recipients include Michael Jackson, Rod Stewart, Led Zeppelin, Bee Gees, Aerosmith, Madonna and Beyonce Knowles.

Other stars to perform at this year’s AMAs at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre include Rihanna, Shakira, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez and The Black Eyed Peas.

The British comedian and his US pop star girlfriend were reportedly “messing around” in a Los Angeles studio where they recorded a version of Edward Lear’s 1871 poem ‘The Owl and the Pussycat’.

A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “Russell was just messing around in the studio with Katy.

“He was pretending to sing into the microphone and started reciting the poem, ‘The Owl And The Pussycat’, with the lines, ‘Oh lovely Pussy! Oh Pussy my love, what a beautiful Pussy you are’.”

The poem is said to be a private joke between the pair, after Russell, 34, recited it to ‘I Kissed A Girl’ singer Katy, 25, when they holidayed together in Thailand.

The source added: “They often use the nicknames Owl and Pussycat. Russell is ‘Owl’ because he’s wise and, well, it’s fairly obvious that Katy’s a sex kitten, isn’t it?

“He has an amazing delivery. Katy blushed at the line, ‘O let us be married, too long have we tarried’ then joined in, singing a refrain to Russell’s speech.

“That’s when it dawned on everyone. It was actually really good. With work, it could be a really interesting track, evocative of The Goons or Monty Python. They were very harmonious. Everyone was transfixed.”

Russell has previously sung in the film ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ in which he played rock star character Aldous Snow. A follow-up film in which he will reprise the role, ‘Get Him To The Greek’ – in which Katy makes a cameo appearance – is set for release in summer next year.

The soccer star, 34, has been based in Los Angeles since joining LA Galaxy in 2007, and wants to stay in America when he quits the sport because the couple and their sons Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, seven, and four-year-old Cruz are able to lead a relatively anonymous life in the US.

He said: “We have a normal life. I can see us living here for a few years.”

Singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria recently admitted she had found their previous home, Spain, “tricky”, and said living in America made her feel “equal” to David.

She said: “I found Spain a little tricky. But from the minute we landed at the airport, we were equal. America is equal, it doesn’t matter whether you are a man or a woman. In Spain it’s more difficult for women.”

Although the couple are settled in Los Angeles, David is set to spend six months in Italy from January after signing a deal with soccer giants AC Milan and recently admitted to how much he hates being apart from his family.

He said: “The biggest thing for me is I go away and leave my family for six months.

The former ‘Baywatch’ star has discovered romantic text messages by Brandon, 13, and 11-year-old Dylan – her children with ex-husband Tommy Lee – on their mobile phones but believes they have been brought up to treat their potential girlfriends well.

She said: “Yeah they have discovered girls. There’s a lot of texting. I think they text, kiss, kiss.

“They’re real gentlemen. They’re real wild little boys and they’re very compassionate and sweet, so I couldn’t ask for anything more.”

The 42-year-old actress recently admitted she has warned her sons the Federal Investigation Bureau (FBI) are monitoring their communications to stop them having secrets from her.

A source told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “Kate has asked her people to contact Victoria’s management.

“She wanted to know which real estate agents Victoria used and wants to go with the same people.

“She’s getting tired of flying in and out of LA and thinks that getting a permanent base in Beverly Hills would be a good idea.”

Meanwhile, Victoria’s husband David has spoken about how much he hates being apart from his family, saying it will “kill” him to move to Italy in January.

16-year-old Hopper – the Oscar-winning actor’s son with estranged wife – was allegedly taken into custody by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department after offices visited his high school in Malibu.

Because he is a minor, authorities have not released details as to why he was arrested or if any charges have been made.

The news of Hopper’s reported arrest comes weeks after Hopper’s mother Robin filed for divorce from Sean, citing “irreconcilable differences”.

In April, Sean filed for separation from Robin but a month later asked California’s Marin County Superior Court to dismiss the case claiming it was an “arrogant mistake”.

It was not the first time the couple had announced they were divorcing only to change their minds.

Sean, 49, first filed for divorce in December 2007, but his petition was dismissed. Three days later Robin filed her own paperwork.

However, in April 2008, they made a request to have their divorce petition dismissed as they wanted to give their relationship another chance.

The ‘Easy Rider’ actor has now cancelled all his travel plans as he focuses on getting treatment through a “special programme” at the University of Southern California.

His manager Sam Maydew added: “We’re hoping for the best.”

The 73-year-old star had to cancel an appearance at Melbourne’s Australian Centre for the Moving Image, where a collection of his artwork and photography – ‘Dennis Hopper and the New Hollywood’ – is being shown.

Last month, Dennis was released from a New York hospital after being treated for dehydration.

It was initially reported the 73-year-old star was suffering from flu-like symptoms, but further details of his illness were not been released.

Dennis fell ill in New York while promoting his new TV series ‘Crash’, which is based on the 2004 Oscar-winning movie about racial and social tensions in Los Angeles of the same name. He plays music producer Ben Cendars.

After just eight months in England, the ‘Bodies’ singer and his girlfriend Ayda Field – who bought the 18th century Wiltshire house for £8.5 million in February – have slashed the estate’s price so they can get back to sunny Los Angeles as quickly as possible.

An insider said: “Robbie is desperate to get things moving quickly rather than hang around just to get a bit more money. Being settled back in the States quickly with Ayda is more important to him.

“He’s already got a few people interested in the mansion.”

The 35-year-old star has previously admitted the house – which has its own helicopter hangar, temples and fountains – was an “impulse buy” when he returned to England after five years in the US.

He and Ayda were planning to make it their family home, but quickly became fed up with the rainy weather.

He recently said:  “Ayda’s always wanted to have the change in the seasons – and it’s winter and glorious. The garden is pretty special, a winter wonderland and you just want to get cosy.

“Then it comes to summer and the weather doesn’t change that much. Then you think, ‘Hmm, LA was good’. Every day you wake up you’re in the sun. Your body feels different, your mind feels different – so we’re going back.”

Although Robbie would like to keep the house, he has admitted he can’t afford to maintain it if he’s not living there.

He said: “I can’t really afford to keep it. Maintenance is a lot. I’ve done a few impulse buys and it leaves you no money.”
