How Lily Allen Celebrated Her Hen Party?

by cyan on May.23, 2011, under Singer

Lily AllenLily Allen celebrated her hen party with a cooking lesson from Gordon Ramsay.

The 25-year-old singer – who is set to tie the knot with fiance Sam Cooper in Gloucestershire, South West England, on June 11 – spent the evening at the celebrity chef’s restaurant in London’s exclusive Claridge’s Hotel alongside a group of close friends, including actress Jaime Winstone and British TV presenter Miquita Oliver.

Writing on her twitter page, she said: “I am on my hen, having a cooking lesson with a very special teacher.

“Gordon Ramsay, and he was brilliant. Had no idea, I am a very, very luccky girl. X x (sic).”

While the party got off to a classy start, it quickly degenerated into a traditional hen bash, with Lily posting pictures on twitter of penis-shaped straws and “stripper shoes” before emerging from the hotel wearing a fake bride’s veil on her head.

According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, the group then moved on to Soho’s Lucky Voice karaoke bar where the ‘Smile’ hitmaker was spotted belting out a string of hits, including Madonna’s ‘Like A Virgin’ and ‘Moment For Life’ by Nicki Minaj.

Lily and her pals were then given permission to stay on at the night spot after hours, where they downed four bottles of rose champagne.

Notably absent from the celebrations was fellow bride-to-be and close friend of Lily Kate Moss – who is tying the knot with rocker Jamie Hince in July – after the pair reportedly fell out over plans to host their hen parties on the same night.

A source recently said: “Lily and Kate are more like ‘frenemies’ these days. Lily was upset when she heard that Kate was throwing her own hen night on the same weekend as hers.

“Lily then brought hers forward to May, but the whole thing has left a bitter taste.”

Where Lily Allen Will Spend Her Honeymoon?

by cyan on May.20, 2011, under Singer

Lily AllenLily Allen will spend her honeymoon at the Glastonbury Festival.

The 25-year-old singer – who is set to tie the knot with her fiance Sam Cooper in Gloucestershire, South West England, on June 11 – will travel to the world famous music event in Somerset, South West England, at the end of June to relax with her new husband in luxury £1,000 tepees in the backstage VIP area.

Festival organiser Michael Eavis said: “Lily’s coming down for her honeymoon. We’ll look after her, I’ll set her up a special tent – she’ll get well treated.

“I’m going to the wedding in Gloucestershire. I’ve known her since she was tiny. She’s such a star isn’t she? Her songs are so good. I’d love to coax her out of retirement for this year’s festival. I’m sure she’ll come back but right now I’m really looking forward to her wonderful wedding.”

Lily appears to be in need of a relaxing break after the stress of organising her nuptials seemed to get to her yesterday (19.05.11) when she launched a foul-mouthed tirade on twitter against everyone involved in the big day.

She tweeted: “Tip of the day: don’t ever get married, its a nightmare, and everyone involved (or not as the case may be) turns into a ****. (sic)”

Why Lily Allen “lived in fear”?

by Kavy on Sep.06, 2010, under Artist, Boyfriend, Dating, Entertainment, Pregnancy, Singer

Lily AllenLily Allen “lived in fear” for the first three months of her pregnancy

The ‘Not Fair’ hitmaker – who is due to give birth to her first child with boyfriend Sam Cooper in February 2011 – admits she was terrified of something going wrong after previously suffering a miscarriage two years ago, when she was dating Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons.

She said: “I came off the pill, and weirdly, a week later it happened. But then it was really difficult – I had complications.

“I had about a week and a half of really heavy bleeding and had to have lots of scans, that’s when I had to cancel my gig in Spain. I’ve been living in fear for the past three months.”

The 25-year-old star also admitted she regularly skipped meals, replacing food with alcohol, until she fell in love with 32-year-old Sam last year and transformed her life.

Asked if she had suffered an eating disorder as a teenager, she told the Sunday Telegraph magazine: “Not then, but last year I wasn’t eating. I would drink a pint of Guinness as a meal.

“It was only when I got together with Sam in June that that stopped – and that’s also when I stopped using twitter because he said, ‘This is weird, why are there millions of people in the room with us?’ So I cut myself off from everything – and I was so much happier.”

Is Lily Allen & Sam Cooper Expecting Their First Child?

by Abbey on Aug.05, 2010, under Artist, Singer

Lily AllenLily Allen is pregnant

The ‘Not Fair‘ singer – who recently announced she was to take a five-year break from music – is expecting her first child with her builder boyfriend Sam Cooper.

After weeks of speculation the 25-year-old star – who is three months into the pregnancy – announced to The Sun newspaper: “It brings me great pleasure to tell you that Sam and I are expecting our first child. It goes without saying we’re absolutely delighted.”

The ‘Smile‘ hitmaker – who was left devastated after suffering a miscarriage with then-boyfriend Ed Simons‘ baby in January 2008 –recently described 32-year-old Sam as “the love of my life”.

She said: “Sam treats me differently. He’s told me he’ll look after me forever. That’s what I’ve always wanted – someone to look after me.”

And Lily, 25, admitted she is so happy with Sam because he’s “not impressed” by her fame.

She said: “We’ve never had one argument and there’s absolutely nothing about him that annoys me. He’s not impressed by what I do. I’ve been with guys and seen them looking in the mirror before they walk out the door with me. That makes me feel sick because I know it’s not just me they’re interested in.”

Lily has long spoken about her strong maternal instincts and plans to be a stay-at-home parent.

She said: “I want to be really hands-on for the first two or three years of having a little one. I don’t want to leave them.”

Lily Allen Photo Collection

by Abbey on Aug.05, 2010, under Actress, Gallery, Singer, updates

Lily Allen (born 2 May 1985) is an English recording artist, talk show host, and actress. She is the daughter of actor and musician Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen. In her teenage years, her musical tastes evolved from glam rock to alternative. Lily ran away from home to attend the Glastonbury Festival at the age of fourteen. A year later, Allen abandoned school and concentrated on improving her performing and compositional skills. Afterwards, she created several demo songs, and near the end of 2005, she created a profile on MySpace, where she made some of her recordings public.

A contract was signed with the label Regal Recordings, as the views on MySpace rose to tens of thousands. In 2006, Lily began to work on completing what would be her first studio album and its first mainstream single “Smile” reached the top position on the UK Singles Chart in July 2006. Her debut record, Alright, Still, was well received on the international market, selling over 2.6 million copies and brought Allen a nomination at the Grammy Awards, BRIT Awards and MTV Video Music Awards. She then began hosting her own talk-show, Lily Allen and Friends, on BBC Three.

Lily’s second major album release, It’s Not Me, It’s You, saw a genre shift for her, having more of an electropop feel, rather than the ska and reggae influences of the first one. The album debuted at #1 on the UK Albums Chart and the Australian ARIA Charts and was appreciated by the critics, noting the singer’s musical evolution and maturity. It spawned the hit singles “The Fear” and “Fuck You”, popular mostly in Europe. Allen and Amy Winehouse have been credited with starting a process that led to the media-proclaimed “year of the women” in 2009 that has seen five female artists making music of “experimentalism and fearlessness” long nominated for the Mercury Prize. In September 2009, Allen stated that she sees no way that she could ever make a profit making new records. Allen plans to take a break following her remaining 2010 concerts. She has discussed plans to write for other artists, launch a record label and open a fashion rental shop during this hiatus.

How Mick Jones Celebrated His 54th Birthday…?

by Alice on Jun.26, 2010, under Actor, Actress, Artist, Birtday, Model, Singer, Socialite

Kate Moss sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to Mick Jones at Glastonbury last night (25.06.10).

The supermodel led a group of stars in performing the track when a giant birthday cake was brought out to celebrate the former Clash legend’s 54th birthday, shortly after his headline set with the Gorillaz at the renowned music festival in Somerset, England.

The 36-year-old beauty and the rocker – who was dressed in a nautical outfit – chatted and giggled together before Kate hit the dance floor and strutted her stuff to Gary Glitter’s ‘Do You Wanna Touch Me’.

A source told BANG Showbiz: “They were having a great time! Mick was sat next to Kate and they talked for ages. Kate looked absolutely stunning.”

Mick was joined at his star-studded birthday celebrations by his partner Miranda Davis.

While they largely remained inside the PlayStation 3 SingStar area with friends including actress Emma Watson, other pals like Lily Allen, Kelly Osbourne, La Roux, Alex Turner and Alexa Chung mingled outside.

‘Not Fair‘ singer Lily looked demure as she lounged about on deckchairs and giant floor cushions and cuddled up to her boyfriend Sam Cooper, while ‘Harry Potter‘ starlet Emma showed off her new lover George Craig and tested out his moves on the dance floor.

TV beauty Kelly Osbourne was another star looking loved-up at the bash, as she and her fiance Luke Worrall laughed and giggled with pals outside.

Socialite Pixie Geldof, Henry Holland and Jade Jagger also joined in the fun, running to the nearby SingStar Cocktails and Dreams area to watch Belinda Carlisle perform her 80s classic ‘Heaven is a Place on Earth‘.

The ‘Fight for This Love’ singer – who is the face of L’Oreal Elvive hair-care range and Coca Cola Zero – came fourth in the Young Music Millionaires aged 30 and under list with earnings of £10 million.

She was beaten to the top spot by Charlotte Church, Katherine Jenkins and Leona Lewis, who are all worth £11 million.

Dr Philip Beresford, who compiled the list, claims the statistics prove British women are working harder than ever and no longer need a man to be a success.

He said: “The girls are showing you can make it big if you keep trying. It doesn’t matter where you come from. Drive and determination can get you the Hollywood lifestyle.”

The highest charting male on the list – which is part of the annual Sunday Times Rich List published on Sunday (25.04.10) – was Craig David, worth £8 million, putting him at number seven.

Dr Beresford added: “Britain’s women superstars are showing they have the talent and drive to make it big in their bank balances. And they can do it without the support of overpaid husbands or hangers-on.”

Among the surprise inclusions were Joss Stone, who is worth £4 million more than Lily Allen with £9 million earnings and Katie Melua, who came in one place behind 26-year-old Cheryl raking in £10 million in 2010.

Gaga Topped The Charts

by Alice on Feb.17, 2010, under Award

Lady Gaga

The ‘Poker Face’ singer took home trophies for International Album,
International Breakthrough Act and International Female Solo Artist.
Show host Peter Kay quipped: “She’s won every international awards
apart from International Male!”
Accepting her first award, Gaga said: “Thank you so much, I love my
fans, thank you so much for everything,” before reeling off a list of
people who she wanted to thank.
By the time she accepted her third award, for Best International
Album, she was in tears.
She said: “I was really excited about winning the first two awards,
but this one means more because I worked so hard on this album for so
long, and when I think about all that I went through and all the years
of struggling and my fans – they were the first ones to recognise my
abilities.”
Gaga also performed a song at the event – which she dedicated to
recently deceased fashion designer Alexander McQueen.
British boyband JLS were the surprise winners of two awards, taking
home British Single for their debut ‘Beat Again’ and British
Breakthrough Act. In a triumph for hip hop, ‘Bonkers’ rapper Dizzee
Rascal was named the British Male Solo Artist.
Accepting his award, he thanked his record label, saying: “Whoa, it’s
about time! Big up to all the Dirtee Stank family, Big up to all the
fans!”
Elsewhere, Florence and the Machine picked up the accolade for British
Album, while Lily Allen was named British Female Solo Artist.
Accepting her award in a bright ginger wig, she said: “I wore an
orange wig so it would make it harder for the cameramen to find me and
see the look of disappointment on my face. But that backfired.”
When urged to hurry her speech she replied: “No f**k off, I’m not
leaving, f**k off,” before thanking her family.

Full list of winners at the BRIT awards 2010:

International Album – ‘The Fame’ Lady Gaga
BRITs Album of 30 Years – ‘What’s The Story (Morning Glory) – Oasis
Outstanding Contribution to Music – Robbie Williams

Liam Gallagher outraged the BRIT Awards tonight (16.02.10), throwing
his trophy in the crowd and snubbing his brother.
The former Oasis singer appeared to collect the award for BRITS Album
of 30 Years, a publicly voted accolade for the best album since the
event started.
Liam appeared onstage briefly to collect the trophy, and thanked the
band’s line up – apart from his brother Noel, the band’s main
songwriter and second vocalist.
Referring to one of the group’s hits, Liam said: “I’d like to thank
Bonehead, Guigsy, Alan White…. the best bands in the f**king world
live forever.”
He then threw his microphone and the award into the audience and
walked offstage.
Oasis split last year after a fallout between the volatile Gallagher
brothers, and while Noel is recording a new solo album, Liam has
formed a new band with the rest of the group’s members.
Backstage at the event, he said: “I don’t know if we deserved it
because there has been loads of great albums over the last 30 years.
“But if they’re gonna give it to us then I’ll play the game and turn
up and get it.
“Now can we go and take loads of Class A drugs?”
The missing microphone caused panic among the award organisers, and
while the show was at an advert break, one of the stage team pleaded
for its safe return.
He announced: “We need this mic back. Please, if you have the mic will
you return it, as one of our artists will not be able to perform
without it.”
The microphone thrown by Liam was given back and the show went on.
Other performances at the event included rock band Kasabian, who
performed their single ‘Fire’ on a stage which was partially engulfed
in flames. They later won the award for British Group.
Cheryl Cole – who is currently undergoing troubles in her marriage to
footballer Ashley Cole, after he was caught sending lewd messages to
other women – also performed her single ‘Fight For This Love’ singing
through what appeared to be gritted teeth as she did a dance routine
reminiscent of Michael Jackson.

Lily Allen – Has Been Reportedly Spotted Wearing An Engagement Ring

by Alice on Dec.26, 2009, under Singer

Lily Allen

The 24-year-old ‘Not Fair’ singer was seen enjoying a meal at London restaurant Quo Vadis with her boyfriend Sam Cooper, wearing a shining band.

An onlooker in the restaurant told the Daily Star newspaper: “It seemed like they were celebrating something but Lily’s smile vanished when she saw the cameras.

“She looked determined not to have her picture taken with the ring on.”

However, her spokesperson has denied she is betrothed to Sam, saying: “She often wears a ring on that finger.”

Lily has been dating the 44-year-old builder since the summer, and she recently revealed they keep the romance alive in their relationship by taking mini-breaks in Europe.

She said: “If I’m on tour in Europe, Sam will fly out on a Friday night when he’s finished work and stay with me for the weekend and then fly back on a Sunday. We talk to each other two or three times a day.”

Lily recently claimed she was taking a two-year break from the music industry to focus on a fashion career.

Lily Allen: Continues Therapy Sessions To Cope With Her Tragic Miscarriage

by Kavy on Dec.22, 2009, under Singer

Lily Allen

The singer tragically lost the baby in 2007 and admits she is still learning to cope with the grief.

Lily – who was in a relationship with Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons at the time – said in an interview with Grazia magazine: “I’ve had really bad, unbelievably awful times, but if I hadn’t had them I wouldn’t get the happiness I’ve got now.

“I couldn’t even compute the emotions going through my head, but I was having to put out a press release about my miscarriage. I had this public sympathy for about five days and then everyone was on my case again and I didn’t know what was happening to me.

“I have therapy on and off but at that time it really helped me. Then I started to deal with it and move on.”

The 24-year-old British star has described the miscarriage as the “worst time of her life” because she repressed a lot of her emotions.

She explained: “I didn’t even start beginning to deal with it until the baby’s due date. Then it hit me like a house collapsing.

“The week before the due date, all I wanted to do was talk about my baby but I also felt I shouldn’t. I was working non-stop and I had all this inside my head. I still get sad. I still think. I don’t mark what would have been my baby’s birth but it’s always there. It changed a lot.”

Lily Allen Maintains Her Romantic Relationship Alive By Taking Short European Tours

by Alice on Dec.17, 2009, under Artist, Music, Singer

Lily Allen

The ‘Not Fair’ singer – who has been dating builder Sam Cooper for several months – works hard to keep her love life strong while she is away on tour and flies her boyfriend over to see her every weekend.

She said: “I’ve been in a relationship for the last six or seven months, and you know, we make it work. If I’m on tour in Europe, Sam will fly out on a Friday night when he’s finished work and stay with me for the weekend and then fly back on a Sunday. We talk to each other two or three times a day.”

The 24-year-old singer recently revealed she is to take a two-year break from the music industry, and is looking forward to living a normal life again.

She explained: “I mean I’m not retiring. I’m doing this thing called life, where it changes all the time. It’s not a plan. I mean, why do we work hard? To provide ourselves with a home. I’ve got that home now so I’d quite like to live in it for a while.

“I’m not a careerist. I do not think about things in the long-term, so I’m never censoring myself thinking I might offend someone and it might affect something that happens in the future. I just want to have babies and live in the countryside, and that’s just my goal really.”

Despite her successful music career, Lily claims she only releases records to give her life some sort of routine.

She said: “I do have a certain amount of drive, but that’s more sort of about keeping a roof over my head and just having a routine.”

This exclusive interview with Lily was conducted as part of VICE magazine’s ongoing Heroes project with Vodafone 360 (heroes.vodafone360.com).

Kelly Rowland’s Demands – At The Elton John’s Charity

by Alice on Dec.14, 2009, under Artist, Music, Singer

Kelly Rowland

The former Destiny’s Child star told organisers at the Elton John Aids Foundation bash that she wanted “untold amounts of KFC” and a “love seat” before her performance.

It seems Kelly is undertaking an unusual diet – last week it was claimed the 28-year-old had banned chocolate from the gig and also needed a hypnotherapist to make sure she didn’t succumb to her urge for the treat.

In the past Kelly has admitted that she sometimes allows herself to eat burgers and cookies when she gets lazy.

The ‘When Love Takes Over’ singer performed a number of her biggest solo hits, as well as some songs from her time in Destiny’s Child.

Guests, including Lily Allen and Liz Hurley, enjoyed a three-course meal at the event which was held at London’s Grosvenor House hotel.

They started with a winter salad of glazed figs, ham and goats cheese mousse, followed by sea bass and potatoes with a chocolate truffle with blackberries for desert.

Elton said: “It’s the first time we’ve thrown a Winter Ball in the UK. So I’m really pleased that we’ve been able to put on such a great night for such a worth cause.”

Cocktails for the charity bash were created by Lily Cole, Roland Mouret and Lily.

by Alice on Dec.10, 2009, under Artist, Music, Singer

The ‘Not Fair’ singer, who recently claimed she is giving up music for at least two years, has struggled with the problems in her personal life over the last ten years.

Lily – who tragically lost a baby in January 2008 and split from the father, Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons, shortly afterwards – said: “On a personal level, my miscarriage was a horrible moment. And then there were the several breakdowns that I had.

“I’d say I’ve had three this century, which isn’t great. There was one when I was 18 and I went into The Priory rehab clinic. I’ve had two really low points since then.”

She also admitted she sometimes has body issues and frets about her appearance.

She added in an interview with Q magazine: “I’ve got a touch of dysmorphia. I was sitting in bed last night and I caught sight of myself in the mirror. I said, ‘God, I’m a funny looking thing.’ ”

She added in an interview with Q magazine: “I’ve got a touch of dysmorphia. I was sitting in bed last night and I caught sight of myself in the mirror. I said, ‘God, I’m a funny looking thing.’ ”

Lily Allen: Caught Up In A Bar Fight On Her Sister’s Birthday

by Alice on Dec.09, 2009, under Artist, Music, Singer

Lily Allen

The ‘Fear’ singer was horrified when police were called to Paradise in Kensal Green, north London, after a group of revellers objected to being asked to move to accommodate her, siblings Sarah and Alfie and mother Alison Owen because their table in a private dining room had been double booked.

A source told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “Lily and her family had all got to Paradise to have a nice meal for Sarah’s birthday but there seemed to have been a mix up with the rooms.

“The group that were in there were apparently quite rowdy and worse for wear.

“Lily and her family were trying to ask them to move but once they saw Lily they got really mouthy. There was some pushing and shoving as they refused to move and someone called police.”

Police confirmed that two men aged 40 and another aged 43 were arrested on suspicion of affray on Sunday (06.12.09), with the older man also held on suspicion of assault.

A spokesperson said: “They had booked to have a meal in the private dining room. There must have been a mix up as there was already a group in there.”

Lily Allen Wants To Be A “suburban mum” And Buying A £1.3 Million Country Mansion

by Alice on Dec.07, 2009, under Artist, Music, Singer

Lily Allen

The ‘Not Fair’ singer – who has always lived in London – plans to quit the British capital city and splash out on a luxurious five-bedroom home in a Cotswolds village with her boyfriend Sam Cooper.

A source said: “Lily’s had enough of London life. She may only be 24, but she’s done far more than most other girls her age in just a short space of time.”

The singer – who previously sang of her love of London in her hit single ‘Sam Cooper’ – reportedly wants to make the move so she is closer to her actor father Keith, who lives in a nearby village with actress Tamzin Malleson and their three-year-old daughter Teddie.

Lily is so keen to make the move, she has already put her three-bedroom flat in north London up for rent at £750 a week.

Lily recently admitted she wants to be a “suburban mum” and raise a family in the countryside.

She said: “People think I’m this super-confident person who’s all for female empowerment but it’s not true.

“I have every intention of becoming a suburban mum. I want to get married and have children.

“Singing is a great job, but it doesn’t leave time for what’s important. Like having a family. I’d like to live in the country and have a walled garden, and chickens and pigs.”

Last week, the singer revealed she would take a two-year break from the music industry to start a fashion business with her sister.

She said: “I will take one or two years off from recording and performing music. The shop is about making fashion democratic for people.”

Lily Allen Is Taking A Break From Music For One Or Two Years

by cyan on Dec.03, 2009, under Artist, Music, Singer

Lily Allen

The ‘Smile’ singer – who failed to renew her recording contract in September – confirmed she will indeed take a break from pop and plans to start a record label for new artists.

Speaking on BBC Radio 1, she said: “My last concert is my Dizzee Rascal concert at The O2 Arena in March. That’s the last thing I’ve got planned. I’m just going to concentrate on doing some behind the scenes sort of stuff.

“I will take one or two years off from recording and performing music.”

While she takes a break she wants to set up a rental fashion store with her sister Sarah called ‘Lucy In Disguise’.

She said: “It’s about making fashion democratic, that’s the idea behind it. It’s about getting really nice clothes but letting people rent them for affordable prices so they can go out and feel like a million dollars and it won’t cost them a million dollars.”

During her hiatus, Lily also plans to just “spend some time in the home” she’s built for herself.

Lily Allen: File Sharing Is Not OK For British Music

by Alice on Nov.20, 2009, under Artist, Music, Singer

Lily Allen

The ‘Not Fair’ singer – who launched a scathing attack on illegal file-sharing on her MySpace blog and attacked indie group Radiohead for giving their latest album away on a pay-what-you-want basis – claims she doesn’t care if people copy her albums and sell them on for a profit.

Lily, 24, told UK radio station Key 103 Radio: “If someone comes up with a burnt copy of my CD and offers it to you for £4, I haven’t a problem with that as long as the person buying it places some kind do of value on my music.”

In Lily’s original blog post she said downloading was starving up-and-coming artists of money they need to keep producing music, and attacked the Featured Artists Coalition (FAC) – whose members include Travis singer Fran Healy, Blur drummer Dave Rowntree and Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien.

She wrote: “I’m going to be writing to British artists, saying just this: File sharing’s not OK for British music. We need to find new ways to help consumers access and buy music legally, but saying file sharing’s fine is not helping anyone – and definitely not helping British music.”

The FAC recently called for the British government to abandon proposals to cut off the internet connections of people who illegally download music.

Robbie Williams May Be Recording New Sound Tracks With His Old Band Take That

by Kavy on Nov.13, 2009, under Artist, Band, Music, Singer

Robbie Williams

The ‘Bodies’ singer cried as he was reunited with his former bandmates – Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Mark Owen – onstage last night (12.11.08) for the first time in 15 years and revealed plans are in place for them to enter the studio together.

He said to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “The ball is rolling for a Take That album with me. I was tearing up when I was onstage with the lads.”

Robbie joined the group and a host of other stars including Lily Allen to sing Beatles classic ‘Hey Jude’ – led by the song’s original singer, Sir Paul McCartney at London’s Royal Albert hall for the charity concert.

Gary – who organised the concert in aid of Children In Need – performed arm-in-arm with Robbie, and said he felt like the old line-up was back together again.

Speaking afterwards, he said: “He was the last one I was hoping to get here. He was the icing on the cake of the whole thing for me.

“When we were all stood in a line we didn’t want to leave … it felt great having him back. It feels like he’s back, it does.”

Robbie also admitted he wished they could have stayed onstage for longer and sung one of Take That’s old hits.

He said: “We should have milked it for a lot longer. I was trying to call them back and do a bow. It’s the first time in 15 years we were together, we should have at least stayed for 15 minutes.

“While they were singing I wanted to grab a mic and start singing too. It would have to have been ‘Back For Good’.”

Take That opened the show before opening the stage up for their former bandmate.

After performing their hit ‘Greatest Day’, Gary then said: “What a perfect night for us to introduce an old friend.”

However, fans hoping for a full reunion were left disappointed when the group departed the stage, leaving Robbie alone to sing two tracks from his new album ‘Reality Killed The Video Star’.

Other performers at the event included Snow Patrol and Cheryl Cole, Leona Lewis, Annie Lennox and Dizzee Rascal.

Drink And Drugs Are “what life’s all about” Says Lily Allen

by cyan on Oct.29, 2009, under Singer

lily_allen

The 24-year-old singer – who celebrated her Q Award win for Best Track for single ‘The Fear’ at a pub with rockers The Cribs and Edwyn Collins after the London ceremony on Monday (26.10.09) – insists you would take the fun out of life if you never got intoxicated.

The ‘Not Fair’ star is quoted by Britain’s Daily Star newspaper as saying: “Why the hell would you give up booze? No drinking until Christmas, yeah right? Drink and class A drugs – that’s what life’s all about.”

Lily also revealed her new man Sam Cooper – who attended the star-studded ceremony with her – is putting a smile on her face.

She said: “Everything is great. I’m really happy – he makes me really happy. We’re having a good time.”

Lily has previously admitted she partied a little too hard when she first shot to fame in the pop world.

She said: “If you’d come to my place two years ago, I wouldn’t have been up before midday. There would have been half-empty vodka bottles everywhere, drugs, whatever. But loads of people take drugs and then get up and work, you can never say never.”
