Why Gaga Plans 2 Meet D President?
by Alice on Sep.22, 2011, under Singer
Lady Gaga plans to meet with President Barack Obama in a bid to stop bullying
The ‘Born This Way’ singer has been left distraught by the death of 14-year-old Jamey Rodemeyer from Buffalo, New York, who committed suicide last Sunday (18.09.11) after enduring years of ridicule about his sexuality.
Gaga – who is a prominent supporter of gay rights – wants to petition the US leader to create legislation which makes bullying at any age a crime.
In a series of tweets, she wrote: “The past days I’ve spent reflecting, crying, and yelling. I have so much anger. It is hard to feel love when cruelty takes someones life.
“Jamey Rodemeyer, 14 yrs old, took his life because of bullying. Bullying must become be illegal. It is a hate crime.
“I am meeting with our President. I will not stop fighting. This must end. Our generation has the power to end it. Trend it #MakeALawForJamey (sic)”
Jamey had regularly blogged about the bullying he was suffering at school but his tormentors also followed him into cyberspace and several messages were left on his account on social media site Formspring calling him “gay and ugly” and encouraging him to kill himself.
On Saturday night (17.09.11) he posted the prophetic line “don’t forget me when I come crying to heaven’s door” from Gaga’s song ‘The Queen’ on his Facebook page followed by a tribute to the pop superstar and a message saying he was looking forward to seeing his late great-grandmother. Hours later he was tragically found dead.

Gaga’s Solitude
by Abbey on Aug.24, 2011, under Singer
Lady Gaga thinks she is “married to loneliness”
The ‘Edge of Glory’ hitmaker – who has been in an on/off relationship with barman Luc Carl throughout her career – is convinced she will always be on her own because “wallowing in solitude” is what gives her artistic integrity.
Asked whether touring makes her lonely, the 25-year-old singer said: “Yes, but I’m supposed to be, I am an artist. We wallow in loneliness and solitude our whole lives in search of the answer to hundreds and millions of questions that run through my mind.
“Yes, I’m lonely. But I’m married to my loneliness.”
Gaga – real name Stefani Germanotta – would always be prepared to sacrifice love for her music, as she would “die” if she wasn’t able to release songs into the world.
Asked whether she would pick fame or love if she could only have one, she told Asia’s Star TV: “I would choose my work. I would die without it and I could never be reborn.
“My biggest fear is missing out on a creative idea because of a lack if time.”

Gaga’s Emotional Nature
by Abbey on Aug.09, 2011, under Artist
Lady Gaga is “emotionally thin”
The ‘Judas’ hitmaker – who is renowned for her eccentric dress sense – believes she holds her feelings close to her under a layer of skin but is not “vulnerable” as that implies she does nothing but cry.
Asked what she has learned about herself recently, she said: “I learned that to be a great artist, you must be emotionally very thin. Your tears and anger and your happiness must be just under the surface of your first layer of skin.
“I like to say ‘emotionally thin’ because it’s much more dramatic. Vulnerable to me implies only tears.”
However, the 25-year-old singer admits it is a challenge to fight against public perception of her and reveals she is “an act”.
She added to PopDust.com: “The challenge is that what others view as artifice—my wigs, my makeup, my clothes, my love for show business and theatre—to me, these are the paint in my palette. These things are not artifice. These things are my reality. But they create a boundary between me and the public that I have to fight through.
“People wonder, ‘Is she for real? Is it all an act?’ But my question is, ‘Since when did the act become a bad thing?’ Show business has always been about the act. Hasn’t it?”

Gaga’s Focus
by Abbey on Jul.28, 2011, under Artist
Lady Gaga is to be the focus of a new “intimate” pictorial book
Described as a “visual dialogue” between the pop star and acclaimed photographer Terry Richardson – who has taken over 100,000 pictures of the ‘Poker Face’ hitmaker – ‘Lady Gaga’ will be released on November 22 and features an introduction written by the eccentric singer herself.
Announcing the book, Grand Central Publishing said: “The book will showcase over 350 colour and black and white photographs taken during the 10 month period in which Richardson followed Lady Gaga and had complete access to her everyday life, with nothing being off limits.
“Beginning with Lollapalooza in August 2010 to the February 2011 Grammy Awards which had 26.66 million viewers, (the highest viewership in over a decade) to the final shows of her ‘Monster Ball’ tour which averaged an attendance of 90,000 people each day, Richardson brilliantly captures the intimate, random, behind-the-scenes moments of Lady Gaga in both her professional and personal life.”
Meanwhile, Gaga has spoken of how an intimate moment watching her grandmother as her grandfather lay dying inspired her hit ‘Edge of Glory’.
She said: “I remember feeling so sad, but they both sort of acknowledged that they won at life because they won at love with each other.”
After her grandfather died, Gaga joined her father in drinking shots of tequila and began to write the song.
She recalled in an interview with KIIS-FM DJ Jojo: “For some reason I was able to express what my father was not about to express … what was so hard, was for my dad to watch my grandpa be on the edge to watch him cross over, but not be there yet.”
The singer also spoke of how much she loved Amy Winehouse, who died suddenly on Saturday (23.07.11) aged 27.
She said: “I didn’t know Amy Winehouse, but I just loved her so much.
“I was such a huge fan, and I was a go-go dancer in New York when she was really big. So Amy gave me hope.”

Is Gaga Taking Anti-baldness Drug
by Kavy on Jul.25, 2011, under Artist
Lady Gaga is reportedly taking an anti-baldness drug
The 25-year-old singer – who has experienced hair loss because of how often she has dyed her tresses – has started using Rogaine in order to reverse the years of damage she has subjected her locks to in the name of fashion.
A source is quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying: “Over the years Lady Gaga has put her locks under a lot of stress. She’s poured so much chemicals over them that it’s damaged her follicles.
“She’s hoping by using Rogaine, she can repair some of the harm.”
The ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker reportedly first started worrying about her hair while on her epic ‘Monster Ball Tour’.
A source claims Gaga went ballistic backstage because whenever she “dragged a comb through her frazzled, bleached tresses, there was hair everywhere – in the comb, on the floor, in her hands”.
The pop superstar – who is famous for her collection of wigs including a wool-like up do and a waist-length blonde wig – has previously spoken about the effects of dying her naturally brunette locks blonde.
She said: “[I had to] get a chemical haircut because my blonde hair is falling out.”

Gaga’s “compassionate thoughts”
by Alice on Jul.23, 2011, under Artist
Lady Gaga spends 15 minutes a day thinking “compassionate thoughts” about herself
The ‘Edge of Glory’ singer is known for having a lot of self-confidence but she admits she sometimes has her doubts and when she does, she resorts to positive thinking.
She said: “I’m not body confident all the time – just like everybody else. But sometimes I am. You know, I dance a lot and it’s important for me to stay in shape, so I can keep up with my fans, who keep me very busy on the road. My advice is to spend about 15 minutes every day having compassionate thoughts about yourself. That might help.”
Gaga also says it’s important for people to be proud of who they are and not worry about what others think.
She added to more! magazine: “It’s all about loving yourself the way God made you. Be proud of what you’ve got, and do whatever it is you need to do. Try on as many wigs hats, shoes and jackets until you find that person inside you, who defines you the best and makes you feel the most secure.”

What Gaga Inherited From Her Dad?
by Alice on Jul.22, 2011, under Artist
Lady Gaga inherited her wild streak from her father
The ‘Edge of Glory’ hitmaker – who famously dressed in a gown made of meat and once hatched out of an egg live on stage – explained her dad Joe hired a stripper to teach her the piano and used to enjoy al fresco romps with random women.
She explained: “He was having sex with girls under the boardwalk in New Jersey before he went to see Bruce Springsteen.
“He saw a lot of himself in me. My first piano teacher was a stripper. My dad told me later. I used to say to her, ‘Why do you have such long nails?’ She just said, ‘Someday you’ll understand why.’ ”
However, the 25-year-old singer credits her father with “kicking her ass” and helping her to stop using cocaine.
She told US radio host Howard Stern: “I was for sure addicted to coke. I got off it because my father called me out and kicked my ass.
“I didn’t do it with people, I did it alone. But I regret every line I did.”
Despite overcoming her habit, Lady Gaga – real name Stefani Germanotta – confessed to still smoking cannabis on an occasional basis.
She added: “I don’t do weed that often – and I tell the truth about that. I don’t respect artists who aren’t honest about what they do recreationally.”

Gaga Wants 2 Work In Fashion

Lady Gaga wants to work in fashion when she is finished with music
The 25-year-old singer – who is known for love of eccentric clothing, including a dress made of meat and one outfit of Kermit the Frog puppets – has a great relationship with people in the fashion world and will one day create her own line of clothes, but not until she is bored with song-writing.
Speaking backstage at the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Canada, she said: “I really, really have such admiration for fashion
designers and I’m such good friends with them. “I’d love a fashion line when I stop making music for a while, for a year. But that’s not going to happen soon. I’m in love with song-writing right now.”
The ‘Judas’ hitmaker was recently named Fashion Icon at the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) awards, and she said at the event in New York she hoped young people would enjoy the prize as much as she would.
She said: “All of you made me feel like a star before I was. As much as this award means to me personally, I just want you to know how much this means to young Americans.”

Gaga — Kate’s Wedding Present

Lady Gaga has sent Kate Moss an accordion as a wedding present
The ‘Judas’ hitmaker and the supermodel – who is set to wed The Kills frontman Jamie Hince on July 1 – discussed how much they love the musical instrument when they met in May after Gaga performed at London’s Annabel’s club, and so the 25-year-old singer sent her new friend the unusual gift because she can’t make the British beauty’s forthcoming nuptials.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “Kate was so touched that Gaga sent her such a thoughtful present.
“Kate would have loved Gaga to be at the wedding, but because of her busy work schedule she can’t make it.
“But Gaga is hoping to stay with Kate at her Cotswolds home later this year.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Poker Face’ singer is set to go on a five-day promotional tour of Taiwan from July 1-5, and Taichung city’s government is so excited about the popstar’s forthcoming visit they have branded July 3 ‘Lady Gaga Day’, and will present the eccentric star with the keys to the city at a party to welcome her.
She will also play tracks from her latest album, ‘Born This Way’ at the event.
Taichung Mayor Jason Hu said: “We have spent a great deal of time and energy inviting Lady Gaga to visit Taichung and we are very pleased to see the success of our efforts.
“Therefore, we are determined to designate the day as ‘Lady Gaga Day’.
“During the event, Lady Gaga might meet the media and I will represent our city in bestowing upon her the keys to the city.”

How Gaga Sleeps
by Lisa on Jun.07, 2011, under Artist
Lady Gaga sleeps in full make-up
The ‘Born This Way’ singer – real name Stefani Germanotta – is often the subject of her friends’ jokes because she rarely takes her extravagant stage make-up off before going to bed.
She said: “I’ve got to wash my face at some point.
“I do get laughed at quite a bit by all my friends because they say I go to sleep a lot with my make-up on. But I say that I have to be ready for the men in my dreams!”
The 25-year-old pop star – who is single after splitting from boyfriend Luc Carl – has admitted she started experimenting with unusual make-up while she was still in school, making her a target for classroom bullies.
Gaga said: “They’d say, ‘Why do you do your make-up like that, what’s with your eyebrows?’
“I used to do these really big Evita brows. I used to self-tan, and I had this really intense tan in school, and people would say, ‘Why the f**k are you so orange, why do you do your hair that way, are you a dyke?’
“I used to be called a sl*t … I didn’t even want to go to school sometimes.”

Lady Gaga gets emotional when she sings the song she wrote about her ex-boyfriend
The eccentric singer wrote ‘You and I’ for her former love Luc Carl when the couple were still dating and she admitted performing it now brings up memories from the past.
She explained to US Weekly: “There is not one song on any of my records that wasn’t written by me, and I think when you write your own music you find ways to reinvent [the songs] emotionally through yourself and performance so that they are different every night and that song you know, sometimes it’s about the guys and sometimes its about the fans.”
Although her latest record ‘Born This Way’ broke records -selling over one million copies in the US alone during its first week of release – Gaga believes forging a relationship with her fans is more important that her chart success.
She said: “The greatest gift, was that I would have such a close connection with my fans and that’s the greatest accomplishment of my life so far. Truthfully, the greatest accomplishment in my career thus far is that I truly have a genuine, authentic, and beautiful relationship with little monsters. That makes it all worth it.”

Gaga’s Xperimental Recipes
by Lisa on May.30, 2011, under updates
Lady Gaga is “obsessed” with cooking shows
The eccentric singer loves experimenting with new recipes and confessed she takes inspiration from watching programmes about food.
She told heat magazine: “When I get time off, I like to watch cooking shows, I’m really obsessed with them. I’m a really good cook now, just from watching those shows. My speciality is Italian.”
Despite her hectic lifestyle, the ‘Judas’ singer revealed she loves to catch up with her childhood friends over good food and wine.
She explained: “I went to an all-girls’ school, so the few of my friends that I’ve kept since high school, we’ll all just get together and cook and drink six or seven bottles of red wine and just talk about life and chill out.”
Despite her passion for cooking, Gaga recently claimed she is on a “drunk diet” as consuming alcohol helps her creativity.
She said: “I am on the drunk diet. I live my life as I want to, creatively. I like to drink whiskey and stuff while I am working. But the deal is I’ve got to work out every day, and I work out hung over if I am hung over. And it’s about the cross-training and keeping yourself inspired. I have to say, I do a ton of yoga.”

Gaga — Chaos In Brain
by Abbey on May.29, 2011, under updates
Lady Gaga can no longer watch the video for ‘Telephone’
The ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker – who collaborated with Beyonce Knowles on the track in 2010 – admitted while she and the ‘Halo’ singer are “great together”, she wishes she had been able to put her own stamp on the video.
She said: “I can’t even watch the ‘Telephone’ video, I hate it so much. Beyonce and I are great together. But there are so many f***ing idea in that video and all I see in that video is my brain throbbing with ideas and I wish I had edited it myself a little bit more.”
However, the 25-year-old singer – real name Stefani Germanotta – explained while she is “terrified” of the chaos in her brain, her fans seem to love it. Gaga added to Britain’s Time Out magazine: “It’s funny because I know a lot of kids didn’t like the ‘Alejandro’ video, but that was my favourite of all my videos.”
“Alejandro’ isn’t a busy video. But maybe that’s my own monster. People love the chaos in my brain, but I’m terrified of it.”

Lady Gaga still “wakes up and feels like a loser”
The ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker who was named the most influential celebrity in the world earlier this month explained being bullied throughout her teenage years will stay with her for her “whole life” and she will never feel like she has made it.
She said: “Being bullied stays with you your whole life, and no matter how many people are screaming your name or how many number one hits you have, you can still wake up and feel like a loser.” Gaga ñ real name Stefani Germanotta admitted her songwriting also forces her to pour “salt, arsenic and poison” into the wounds of her childhood, but ultimately it can be a healing experience.
She added to Time Out magazine: “There were a lot of bullies. You have to open the wound and pour salt and arsenic and poison into that wound and you must get out a needle and poke and prod then sew it back up again.
“And when I’m handed a beat that sounds amazing, that beat is the scissors, and then I cut the wound I’ve just sewn up, and I go back in. I go back in and ask myself the same questions again and again and again, ‘Why am I here?’”

IS Gaga A feminist
by Abbey on May.26, 2011, under Artist
The ‘Judas’ singer had a very religious upbringing and while she was told to worship Jesus and God, Gaga chose to confide in females because she’s always been a feminist.
She told Popjustice: “When I was young and I went to Catholic school – an all girls’ school – we were told to pray to God and pray to Jesus, but I always prayed to women. I guess I always worshipped a more feminine force in my life and I didn’t view God as having a particular gender. I always either prayed to Mother Mary or Mary Magdelene, or to my father’s sister Joanne who had died when he was a kid because I viewed her as an angel in the sky in the house of the Kingdom working alongside God. You know, watching over me.
“It must be so big up there. A lot of people. So I always prayed to women and that’s the thing that I look to now to make me strong in this very unique situation that is being a pop singer. I always pray to Mary and to Joanne.”
Gaga says women such as Mother Mary and Mary Magdelene have inspired her throughout her life because they taught her what it’s like to be brave.
She said: “It’s very sad that in those Biblical times women were stoned for adultery or for doing inappropriate things. Women were always the target, so I guess I looked to my past and my faith to find bravery in myself.”

Lady Gaga Is “traditional” When It Comes To Family
by cyan on May.20, 2011, under Singer
The ‘Judas’ hitmaker – who is known for her love of eccentric outfits, including a dress made of meat and arriving in an ‘egg’ for the Grammy awards earlier this year – does not think of herself as crazy and when it comes to family, she believes herself to be very normal.
Speaking on MTV show ‘Lady Gaga: Inside the Outside’, she said: “I’m really quite traditional, actually, contrary to what some people might think about me.
“I’m quite traditional in the family sense. My dad was just trying to breathe normally. He’s still trying to breathe normally.”
The 25-year-old singer was inspired to become a singer by her parents Joseph and Cynthia Germanotta, who encouraged her to pursue her interest in music by buying her records.
She said: “My parents got me Stevie Wonder ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ and The Beatles when I was younger.
“Good choices, mom and dad. Don’t spoon-feed me The Beatles and Stevie Wonder and Bruce Springsteen and Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin and Elton John and expect for me not to turn out this way.”
Lady Gaga – who was named as the world’s most powerful celebrity by Forbes magazine earlier this week – recently revealed she planned to have children one day but was currently busy “giving birth” to fans, which she dubs her “little monsters”.
Asked if she planned to have a family one day, she said: “I think at some point, yeah, I’ll have a family and babies and all those things, but not right now.
“Not for a while. Right now I have lots of fans. I’m giving birth to lots of little monsters, so I need to keep down the stretch marks.”

Lady Gaga Likes ‘Being Alone’
by cyan on May.17, 2011, under Singer
The ‘Judas’ hitmaker – who recently split from her boyfriend Luc Carl – owns a huge array of hair pieces which she changes to match her eccentric outfits and she has confessed she likes nothing more than to be on her own playing her piano and admiring her wigs.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I like being alone. I lived alone for so long when I was in New York City fighting for my shot at stardom, so there is something that is very sentimental to me about time with wigs and a glass of whisky.
“To relax, I like to be by myself. I play piano by myself sometimes. I write poetry, I read and I play with my wigs and I listen to my music.”
However, the 25-year-old performer won’t be spending much time on her own in the near future because she is planning a huge world tour to promote her new album ‘Born This Way’.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: “I’m planning on launching a new tour by the end of the year if not the beginning of next.
“I’m itching like a heroin addict trying to get back on stage. I can’t wait.”
Gaga insists the run of shows will be bigger than her ‘Monster Ball Tour’ – which grossed $139 million worldwide – because she can never imagine making anything less “epic”.
She said: “I’ll never do a smaller show. It’s got to be bigger, bigger, more epic, more of an opus. I don’t care where I am in the world, theatrics are part of who I am. I don’t do it big for the sake of it.”

What Gaga Wears In Beb
by Abbey on Apr.27, 2011, under Artist
Lady Gaga sleeps in her stage costumes
The ‘Bad Romance’ hitmaker has admitted that she often wakes up still wearing the outrageous wigs, make-up and outfits that she wears while performing and says her habit of forgetting to undress before she goes to bed amuses her friends when they visit her.
She said: “My best friends who often will crash at hotels where I’m at … they will come visit me on the road, they always call me a beauty queen disaster.
“I wake up and my wig’s falling off my head. My mole is on the other side of face. My fake mole, it’s not fake it’s surreal.”
Speaking during an appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ – during which she performed her latest hit ‘Judas’ for the first time and confirmed that she is godmother to Sir Elton John and David Furnish’s four-month-old son Zachary – the outlandish singer also admitted how “overwhelmed” she is by her success.
She said: “I’m 25 years old. I was asked to play Madison Square Garden. Sold out five nights and, quite frankly, it’s very overwhelming.”
The confession comes after she posted a tearful video online at the weekend in which she talked of how she feels like a “loser” and claimed that people are trying to “destroy her”.
In it she said: “I still feel like a loser kid in high school.
“Sometimes I still feel like people are trying to destroy me… I cannot be destroyed and I will not be destroyed.”

Who Is Trying 2 Destroy — Gaga

Lady Gaga has tearfully confessed on film that she thinks “people are trying to destroy her”
The 25-year-old singer broke down in a documentary extract posted online last night (24.04.11) and spoke of how much she fears criticism, admitting she feels like a “loser kid in high school.”
In the black and white YouTube clip, posted before she went on stage in New York’s Madison Square Garden for her Monster Ball tour, she sobbed: “I still sometimes feel like a loser. It’s crazy, ’cos it’s like we’re at the Garden, but I still feel like a loser kid in high school.
“Sometimes I still feel like people are trying to destroy me… I cannot be destroyed and I will not be destroyed. And you will never destroy the kingdom that is my fans.”
The outlandish ‘Judas’ hitmaker – who was recently criticised on micro-blogging website twitter for the bizarre artwork of her new album ‘Born This Way’ which depicts her morphing into a mutant motorcycle – went on to say she feels like she has to “fight” to remain a “superstar” for the sake of her young fans.
She said: “I just have to pick my s*** up. Pick myself up and tell myself I’m a superstar every morning just so I can get through this day.
“I feel like I have to fight. I’m fighting for every kid that’s like me, that’s felt like I’ve felt and feels like I still feel.”
She added: “I just wanna be a queen but sometimes I just don’t feel like one. It’s not about being a winner for me anymore, you know. It’s about being a winner for them.” The clip was filmed as part of documentary ‘Lady Gaga Presents The Monster Ball Tour: At Madison Square Garden’ which will be aired next month.

Gaga’s Face Implants
by Kavy on Apr.22, 2011, under Artist
Lady Gaga considered having permanent face implants
The ‘Judas’ singer has been sporting raised bumps which give an angular appearance to her face and shoulders in photos for her new album ‘Born This Way’, but her boyfriend wasn’t supportive of her idea of making the changes permanent.
She told NME magazine: “I did look into having them done permanently but decided against it. Mostly because of my boyfriend, if you want the truth.”
Gaga is currently dating bar manager and musician Carl Luc, whom she first got together with in 2005, but they split when she first found fame, though they reunited last year.
The ‘Bad Romance’ hitmaker’s modified look has been compared to French artist Orlan, who has modified her face as artwork a number of times through plastic surgery.
Upon hearing of Orlan and seeing pictures of her for the first time, Gaga said: “It’s quite beautiful. That’s weird. It’s very fabulous, I’m going to be inspired by her now.”

Why Gaga wants 2 Appear In ‘Modern Family’?
by Abbey on Apr.07, 2011, under Artist
Lady Gaga wants to appear in ‘Modern Family’
The ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker is a huge fan of the comedy TV series and has asked producers to write a cameo role for her, though show chiefs are unsure of how to accommodate the eccentric singer.
Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who plays Mitchell in the programme, said: “Gaga reached out and she wanted to do something with the show but it’s like, how do you incorporate Lady Gaga into ‘Modern Family’?”
However, Jesse did reveal that a tribute to the singer has been penned for a forthcoming episode, though she is not scheduled to appear in it.
He explained on morning TV show ‘Live with Regis and Kelly: “We’re actually doing a Lady Gaga episode. Mitchell, my character, wants to go to the Lady Gaga concert, and Cameron is supposed to go with me but he’s sick in bed and he’s expecting me to stay home and take care of him.
“And so I kind of, maybe, drug him a little bit so I can sneak out and go to the concert.”
Meanwhile, a forthcoming episode of ‘Glee’ featuring the music of Lady Gaga has been extended by 30 minutes longer than the usual running time.
The 90-minute special episode will see members of the New Directions high school glee club perform ‘Born This Way’ and learn a lesson about self-acceptance.
Network Fox announced: “In the ‘Born This Way’ episode, Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) teaches the glee club a valuable lesson about self-acceptance and embracing what makes you unique through the music of Lady Gaga.”

Lady Gaga And Cheeseburgers

Lady Gaga’s friends leave “mounds of cheeseburgers” in her dressing room because they know she can’t eat them
The ‘Judas’ singer likes to take her friends as support acts on tour, but said they play cruel tricks on her, like leaving her junk food treats she can’t indulge in, due to her strict diet.
In a Google Moderator interview – which saw her answer questions submitted by fans – she explained: “I don’t like surprises and I don’t like pranks.
“But I have had very few famous acts open for me, it’s mostly been underground acts and DJs, people that I’ve known since I was 18.
“Very often they make jokes about my diet, because I have to stay so in shape for music videos and performances, they play jokes like leaving mounds of cheeseburgers in my dressing room and stuff. It’s really awful. It’s vicious”
Gaga, 24, is said to have used extreme dieting methods to stay slim early on in her career.
In Maureen Callahan’s 2010 book ‘Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga’, the musician’s former tour manager David Ciemny claimed she would binge on junk food such as cakes and sweets, then not eat for weeks to fit into her costumes – once allegedly losing 20lbs between fittings for one of her outfits.
Describing her food habits, David said: “When I say she was sick, I mean physically and mentally.”
Talent scout Wendy Starland added in the text: “The pressure on her to lose weight was very high.”

Lady Gaga — Tattoos

Lady Gaga only has tattoos on the left side of her body to please her father
The ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker made the decision to only be inked on one side so she can look “slightly normal” from certain angles to please her dad Joseph Germanotta.
In a Google Moderator interview which saw her answer question submitted by fans, she revealed: “All of my tattoos are on one side, per my father’s request. He asked that I remain, on one side, slightly normal, so I only have my tattoos on my left side.
“I think he sees the right as like my Marilyn Monroe side and the left as my Iggy Pop side.”
Gaga’s tattoos include a Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament symbol on her left wrist, a unicorn with the song title ‘Born This Way’ wrapped around its horn on her thigh, floral tattoos of roses and daisies on her lower back and shoulder and a quote from Austrian Bohemian poet Rainer Maria Rilke in German on her inner left upper arm.
The ‘Bad Romance’ singer chose to decorate that side of her figure because she is left handed and “creatively driven” by her left.
She added: “I’m also a leftie. It’s really my father – when I was a kid he tried to change my hands, and the doctor was like, ‘She was born that way, you can’t change it!’
“So I think from a neurological standpoint, because I’m creatively driven by my left side, that’s why I chose it.”
