Kirsten Dunst says her family are the most important thing in her life
The ‘Melancholia’ actress says that as she’s got older she’s realised what matters to her and now loves spending time with her parents and grandparents.
She said: “I speak to them every day. My grandmother lives with my mother and I worry about not seeing her enough. I love my grandparents. I can never understand why people put family into care homes. I feel proud that I’ve earned enough money to buy a house for my mother and grandmother. My grandfather in Germany was so proud of my Best Actress award. He was telling all his friends, he got to be the guy with the big news. I loved that.”
Kirsten, 29, lives with her younger brother Christian and admits she’s “lucky” with the friends and family she has.
She told Britain’s Elle magazine: “I’m lucky with my family. My younger brother Christian lives with me and when I’m not working I travel. I see friends.”

What Kirsten Dunst Suggested To James Franco?
by cyan on Jan.17, 2011, under Actress
James Franco credits Kirsten Dunst with helping save his life.
The 32-year-old actor was advised by his ‘Spider-Man 3’ co-star to volunteer for charity Art of Elysium – with helps children serious medical conditions – at a time in his life when he wanted to assist others but was unsure what to do.
He recalled: “Kirsten said, ‘You know I volunteer with this group called Art of Elysium’ and said to come help out.
“It was funny because I was seeing a therapist at the time, and I told him I just wanted to find a place where I could give back. I didn’t know what I could give. All I did was act and I didn’t want to teach that.
“I went and started volunteering at the hospital. Anyways, the experience really saved my life.”
The ‘127’ hours actor picked up the Spirit of Elysium awards from the charity on Saturday (15.01.11) at the Art of Elysium Heaven Gala in Los Angeles and also told the star-studded crowd of charity helpers and supporters – including Gerard Butler, Jake Gyllenhaal, Nicole Richie, Rachel Bilson and Elijah Wood – of how Kirsten rejected a play he had written with one of the children the organisation helps.
He said: “I met my friend David and we wrote a play together for the holiday party, it was an amazing play. And my dear friend Kirsten Dunst turned it down and we ended up doing something about the Grinch.”

Jake Gyllenhaal reportedly spent £100,000 flying new love Taylor Swift to London
The ‘Brokeback Mountain’ actor – who is currently promoting his new movie ‘Love And Other Drugs’ in the British capital – flew the country music star in by private jet on Friday night (12.11.10), and the pair were said to be holed up in London’s exclusive Dorchester hotel until yesterday (14.11.10) morning.
Taylor – who has dated ‘Twilight’ actor Taylor Lautner and Disney star Joe Jonas in the past – was due to be in the city to perform at the Radio 1 Teen Awards yesterday, but jetted in early to see Jake.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: “Jake wanted some quality time with Taylor. If he
hadn’t done this, they would have missed each other as he had to fly back to the US. He hired a jet which would have easily set him back £100,000.“
Rumours about the new couple have been circulating since they were spotted holding hands and looking loved-up while on a romantic walk around Brooklyn, New York, last month.
A source said at the time: “Taylor and Jake were walking around Park Slope holding hands. They looked like a couple!”
Jake – who split from actress Reese Witherspoon last December after more than two years together – has also dated stars including Natalie Portman and Kirsten Dunst in the past.

She made her film debut in Oedipus Wrecks, a short film directed by Woody Allen for the anthology New York Stories (1989). At the age of 12, Dunst gained widespread recognition playing the role of vampire Claudia in Interview with the Vampire (1994), a performance for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. The same year she appeared in Little Women, to further acclaim.
She achieved international fame as a result of her portrayal of Mary Jane Watson in the Spider-Man trilogy (2002–07). Since then her films have included the romantic comedy Wimbledon (2004), the romantic fantasy Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) and Cameron Crowe’s tragicomedy Elizabethtown (2005). Kirsten played the title role in Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette (2006), and she starred in the comedy How to Lose Friends & Alienate People (2008).
Kirsten made her singing debut in the film Get Over It in 2001, in which she performed two songs. Kirsten also sang the jazz song “After You’ve Gone” for the end credits of the film The Cat’s Meow (2001). She confirmed she was suffering from depression in 2008, checking into a treatment center before discharging herself in March and resuming her career.
In the 2002 superhero film Spider-Man, the most successful film of her career to date, Kirsten played Mary Jane Watson, the best friend and love interest of the title character, played by Tobey Maguire. The film was directed by Sam Raimi. Owen Gleiberman of Entertainment Weekly remarked on Dunst’s ability to “lend even the smallest line a tickle of flirtatious music.”
In the Los Angeles Times review, critic Kenneth Turan noted that Dunst and Maguire made a real connection on screen, concluding that their relationship involved audiences to an extent rarely seen in films. Spider-Man was a commercial and critical success. The movie grossed $114 million during its opening weekend in North America and went on to earn $822 million worldwide.

by cyan on Sep.07, 2010, under Actor, Actress, Roles, Rumours
It is rumoured that the 24-year-old British hunk wants to be with Kristen Stewart 24 hours a day. Rob was also recently alleged to be jealous over Kristen Stewarts love scenes with Viggo Mortensen in her new movie ‘On the Road‘.
An insider told Hollywood Life, “Rob plans on being on the set of On the Road, not because he has a role in the drama, but because Kristen has a real risque part!” The insider added that there are a lot of sex scenes and “Kristen told him she didn’t want him on the set because it would make her feel uncomfortable”.
Robert Pattinson also seems to be very possessive of the 20 year old Twilight sensation. According to Showbiz Spy, a source revealed, “When he visits her on set, he’s always by Kristen’s side — and it annoys her.”
On the Road, a novel by American writer Jack Kerouac, is a largely autobiographical work that was based on the spontaneous road trips of Kerouac and his friends across mid-century America. In the film adaptation of On the Road, Sam Riley will star as Kerouac’s alter ego Sal Paradise. Garrett Hedlund has been cast as Dean Moriarty. Kristen Stewart has confirmed that she will play Mary Lou and Kirsten Dunst will star as Camille. Filming has officially begun as of August 2, 2010.

by Alice on Nov.19, 2009, under Actress

The actress dated the ‘Brokeback Mountain star for two years, before the couple split in 2004, and admits they haven’t remained on friendly terms.
She said: “It would be nice to see him. But we’re not good friends.”
While Jake is now dating Oscar-winning beauty Reese Witherspoon, there is no one special in Kirsten’s life at present.
The ‘Spider-Man’ star – who previously dated Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell – told Allure magazine: “My girlfriends will sleep in bed with me, but no guests, not long-term anyway.”
Kirsten, who was born in New Jersey, recently went on a trip across America and was shocked at how much poverty there is in her home country.
She said: “After we were done, I was like, ‘Wow, America is so poor.’ Just the towns you come across – all that’s there are restaurants and gas stations. There are beautiful stretches of pasture, but for the most part, people live simply. The East and West Coast are so different from the rest of America.”
