Katie Price was involved in a car crash that killed two horses yesterday (24.04.11)

The 32-year-old model suffered severe whiplash when her Toyota jeep – which her boyfriend Leandro Penna was driving – collided with two runaway stallions and one of them smashed through the windscreen.

Both creatures, which had jumped a fence and bolted in front of the vehicle, died instantly and the 4×4 was declared a write-off.

Three other passengers, thought to be camera crew who weren’t filming at the time, were in the pack of the jeep.

The accident happened at 1.30am near Cordoba in Argentina where Katie and model Leandro, 25 are on holiday and the mum-of-three said it was a ‘miracle they were alive’.

Katie said: ‘It was absolutely terrifying. It all happened in a flash and I have absolutely no idea how I wasn’t badly injured.’

‘I feel so lucky, but more than anything I’m just distraught about the horses. It was so upsetting.’

The blonde beauty – who keeps horses of her own – is said to have suffered cuts to her hands as well as whiplash.

Leandro, who is from Argentina, jarred his neck and the three other passengers were given routine check-ups.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper that the pair are lucky to be alive and Leandro’s quick-thinking could have saved them.

They said: ‘Quite frankly, it beggars belief that Katie and Leo survived at all. And Katie knows just how close she came to dying.

‘The two animals  ploughed into their vehicle, with one flying through the windscreen, backside-first, hitting both Katie and Leo simultaneously.

‘Luckily, Leandro reacted lightning-quick, braked hard and swerved violently the moment he saw the horses.  Although it wasn’t enough to save the horses, undoubtedly his reactions saved the pair’s lives, plus those of the three passengers in the back.

They added: ‘But Kate was far more concerned about the death of the stallions than she was her own injuries. She is badly shaken up and she was in pieces all of last night.’

A spokesperson for the reality star confirmed the accident had happened and two horses had been killed and Katie and Leandro are: ‘Ok, though understandably shaken.’

Katie Price has thanked Sir Elton John for introducing her to her new boyfriend.

The British TV star met Argentinean polo player Leandro Penna at an Oscars party hosted by the singer and his husband David Furnish in Los Angeles in February and the mother-of-three will always be indebted to them because she’s so happy.

She wrote on twitter page: “we are so compatible we cant thank Elton John and David Furnish enough xx (sic)”

Katie – who is in the process of divorcing second husband Alex Reid, who she split from in January – is currently in Cordoba, Argentina, with Leandro, where she has been introduced to his parents Mercedes and Hector.

Tweeting about their meeting, she said: “great time great day great family leo is a true gent (sic)”

It seems Katie has become very taken with Argentina and has even started to learn Spanish.

She gushed in a tweet written in Spanish, which has been translated: “I love Cordoba … I’m fascinated with this province! The perfect Combrecita. (sic)”

She even wrote “Katie Io amo” meaning “I love him”.

Although she is now gushing about Leandro, 25, just a few weeks ago Katie, 32, was adamant she was taking things slowly with her new man.

She revealed: “We’re just getting to know each other, in fact I wanted to be single after Alex, but I ended up meeting Leo, but we’re just getting to know each other now.”

The 32-year-old star – who split from her husband Alex Reid in January after just 11 months of marriage – was first spotted with 25-year-old Argentinean model Leandro Penna at Sir Elton John’s post-Oscars party last month but is already hoping to settle down with him.

The pair were spotted partying with Katie’s ex-boyfriend Dane Bowers earlier this week at a bash hosted by adult TV station Babestation at London’s Merah nightclub, where the former glamour model vomited in the fire exit before popping the question in restaurant Balans.

After being photographed eating dinner together at the £375-a-night Alexander House Hotel yesterday (12.02.11) the blonde beauty, who is also known as Jordan, wrote on her twitter page: “Me and Alex are not back together but are still good friends its called being grown up and adult. (sic)”

The couple are said to be on better terms since Alex agreed to leave Katie’s mansion in Surrey, South East England – which she shares with her children Harvey, eight, Junior, five, and three-year-old Princess Tiaamii - and destroyed intimate pictures that were taken during their 11-month marriage.

Her spokesperson told The People: “They met up together and thrashed out a lot of problems before enjoying relaxing spa treatments. Jordan thought his gesture to destroy the pictures was a big step forward and they can remain as friends in the future.”

A pal of the pair added: “For once they didn’t end up shouting at each other and agreed to behave amicably from now on.

Alex Reid plans to keep a “dignified silence” about his split from Katie Price.

Katie Price has announced she has split from her husband Alex Reid

Following weeks of reports the couple were to separate, the British TV star has released a no-holds barred statement confirming the end of her relationship with the cage fighter.

Katie blames the break-up on Alex becoming “fascinated by life in the media eye” and insists the pair tied the knot “too quickly” after dating for just seven months.

In the statement, she said: “Alex and I have had a number of difficulties over the past few months. I accept that these were in part caused by my marrying too quickly – we all make mistakes and this was one. However, Alex changed from the man I fell in love with and some of his behaviour became difficult for me to understand and caused issues. I have tried to help him with these issues but they have put a considerable strain on our relationship.

“Our difficulties were also not helped by Alex becoming more fascinated by life in the media eye. Obviously I cannot be critical of someone wanting to do this and originally I tried to help him with his career by getting him contracts with my production company. If Alex wants to honour those contracts the production company is more than happy to do so. However, Alex’s desire to promote himself caused a change in the dynamic of our relationship and contributed to our alienation.”

The 32-year-old beauty also revealed she is furious with Alex, 35, for posing for photographs with her five-year-old son Junior – whose father is her ex-husband Peter Andre – in a martial arts gym and says she feels “let down” by his actions because he knows she wants to keep her kids out of the public eye.

Katie – who also has a three-year-old daughter Princess Tiaamii with Peter and an eight-year-old son Harvey from an earlier relationship – added in the statement: “I had hoped that Alex and I could remain friends but I am not sure if that is possible given events since last Sunday (16.01.11) when we were on the verge of releasing a statement. Alex asked that we did not release any statement because he wanted more time to think. The intervening period has, however, seen a number of false stories appear and photographs of Alex with my son Junior in the gym which it is absolutely clear were posed for. Alex is fully aware that I have sought to remove my children from the public eye now they are of an age to understand and be affected by media coverage of them. I feel incredibly let down that he did this while asking me for more time to discuss our relationship.”

Katie – who wed Alex in a private ceremony in Las Vegas in February 2010 – insists she is now determined to focus on her children but is disappointed the marriage failed.

She said: “I am deeply upset that my relationship with Alex has failed but I know it is the right thing for my children and I that we separate. My children are my absolute priority in this and they are being shielded from what is happening.”

Peter Andre has been rushed to hospital with stomach pains

The ‘Behind Closed Doors’ singer awoke in the early hours of this morning (26.11.10) in agony and was taken to see medical staff.

He has had to cancel his scheduled concert at Plymouth Pavilions tonight and is currently being monitored.

A statement posted on his official website read: “Peter Andre was rushed to hospital in the early hours of this morning in excruciating pain. At present he is being monitored closely and being kept in for extensive tests and scans.”

The pop star’s manager Claire Powell also said: “We are very worried about Peter and at present we do not know what is causing him to be in so much pain. Peter is terribly disappointed that he is unable to perform at tonight’s sold out opening night. At this time we have no more information though we are hoping Peter will be able to perform at Minehead tomorrow as planned. We will keep his fans informed via his website www.peterandre.com for further information on the situation.”

One person who is concerned for Peter’s wellbeing is his ex-wife Katie Price.

She revealed he had been hospitalised on her twitter page and sent her former spouse her best wishes.

Referring to Peter’s management agency Can Associates – which is run by Claire – she wrote: “I’m told CAN are going to release a statement saying Pete been rushed to hospital with stomach pains! Why does press need to know! Hope Pete ok. (sic)”

In July, Peter collapsed while out jogging and earlier this month he revealed he was going for an MRI scan for a mystery illness.

Katie Price’s court case was adjourned today (28.09.10)

The former glamour model was at Mid Sussex Magistrate’s Court to face a charge of not being in proper control of a vehicle, relating to an incident on February 19 when police officers allegedly spotted her using a mobile phone while driving her pink horsebox in West Sussex, South England.

However, the case was adjourned after Katie’s lawyer Nick Freeman argued the proceedings were “defective”, stating his client was not informed of the correct charges against her.

Freeman claimed Katie was told at the time she was being reported for using a mobile phone while driving and driving without due care and attention with no mention of charges of not being in proper control of a vehicle.

Earlier, prosecutors claimed the driving of the 32-year-old star – whose cage-fighter husband Alex Reid was in the passenger seat at the time of the incident – caused two other vehicles to swerve away as she drifted into their lane on the A23 road.

Prosecutor Rachel Beckett said: “PC Mann observed a vehicle which he saw drifting slightly into lane two from lane one.

“PC Mann drove up next to the vehicle and saw Miss Price was driving and saw that she was using a mobile phone.

“When the defendant saw the police car, she held the device down.”

Sussex police officer Phil Mann – who spotted the star’s erratic driving - told the court he thought he saw Katie texting on a phone before he pulled her over.

Katie denies using her phone while driving and claims she was holding a perfume bottle not a phone, while her lawyer Freeman argued the description was totally “inaccurate” because Katie’s phone is covered with gems.

For a number of men, her apparently harsh treatment of ex-husband Peter Andre makes her bad relationship material, and her constant craving for attention would seem to be a huge personality turn off.”

Recently-jailed Lindsay Lohan and US First Lady Michelle Obama were placed fourth and fifth respectively.

When asked which male public figures British men were tired of hearing about, the 7,000 people surveyed placed Katie’s ex-husband Peter in the top spot, closely followed by ‘Twilight’ hunk Robert Pattinson.

Scandal-stricken golfer Tiger Woods, music mogul Simon Cowell, and England soccer star John Terry made up the rest of the top five.

The Great Male survey quizzed respondents on a range of topics, including use of technology, political preferences, favourite TV shows and celebrity crushes.

Katie Price wants to have “20 children”.

The former glamour model – who already has sons Harvey, eight, and Junior, five, and three-year-old daughter Princess Tiaamii from previous relationships – dismissed speculation she and husband Alex Reid are expecting a child together, but admitted she wants to keep adding to her family.

She said: “Because I didn’t drink on my hen night, people say I’m pregnant. They can speculate all they like but I’m not.

“It was because I was driving that I didn’t drink that night.

“I want 20 children. Or course I want more children. But I’m not pregnant yet.”

The 32-year-old star – who has amassed a rumoured £30 million fortune from modelling, books, fragrances, TV appearances and magazine interviews – insists she doesn’t understand why she receives so much criticism and believes she is a great role model.

She added in an interview with the Daily Record newspaper: “I’m living my life how I want to live my life. I don’t see why I can’t be a good role model.

“I don’t see what I’ve done that is so bad.

“People are very judgemental of what I do. I’m not perfect but who is?”

Katie and Alex, 34, recently renewed their wedding vows in a lavish ceremony after marrying a secret Las Vegas ceremony in February.

Police were called to Katie Price and Alex Reid’s marriage blessing yesterday (03.06.10).

The former glamour model – who threw a star-studded ceremony in St. Paul’s Church in Woldingham, Surrey, following her wedding in Las Vegas on February 2 – was left “shaken and upset” after hoards of photographers crowded outside and attempted to get inside her car.

Katie arrived at the idyllic church in an mini-van inspired by 80s show ‘The A-Team’, but was left distraught after cameramen desperately tried to photograph her in her gown.

A spokesman said yesterday: “She is understandably shaken and upset by the actions of these people but is now looking to enjoy the rest of her day with her close friends and family.”

The drama unfolded when the couple – who have signed a £600,000 deal giving the right for their nuptials to TV channel ITV2 – arrived at the church after their guests, who had been asked to sign a confidentiality agreement in advance of the event.

Katie arrived in the vehicle with her bridesmaids – her sister Sophie Price, and pals Michelle Heaton, Emma B, and Polly Gould – 15 minutes after Alex.

A security team of bouncers even put up sheets and umbrellas to block them from the photographers.

But a scuffle between the doormen and the paparazzi broke out and the police were called.

There was also drama from inside the church yesterday, as the 32-year-old former glamour model ejected three of her guests from the building before the ceremony began.

Katie’s long-term pal and confident Julie Coates and her husband, and another unknown pal were asked to leave immediately after reportedly being told the former glamour model didn’t “trust” them.

After the 30-minute long ceremony – which was conducted by Reverend Charles Bradshaw – was finished, the bridal party returned to Katie’s nearby mansion, where the wedding reception was held in a marquee.

Cage-fighter Alex and Katie started dating last July, shortly after she ended her marriage to singer Peter Andre – who she raised three children with.

They jetted to the US back in February for their secret nuptials, but always vowed to repeat the occasion back in the UK for their family and friends.

Katie Price is to perform her new single at her wedding.

The glamour model is having her marriage to cage fighter Alex Reid blessed in a televised ceremony in the coming weeks and is planning to treat guests – including TV talent show judge Piers Morgan and singers Michelle Heaton and Simon Webbe – to a preview of the as-yet untitled disco track.

The groom is also reportedly planning to join in with the entertainment, performing with dance troupe Diversity – who won UK TV talent show ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2009 – after the couple undertake their first dance.

A source said: “Katie loves Diversity, so Alex is thrilled to be working with them. They’ve arranged to lead the first dance, then Alex will dance with them.

“But it’s raised a few eyebrows among his friends. Nobody’s denying Diversity are brilliant at what they do. But urban street dance isn’t the most romantic choice for a wedding.”

The event is expected to be a big departure from the glamour model’s previous wedding to singer Peter Andre, with Katie keen to have a classy affair.

The source added to The Sun newspaper: “This time she’s going to be a lot more understated. There will also be no sit down meal and instead she is going for a buffet style dinner. She wants a ball rather than a disco for a party.”

Katie – who married Alex in a secret ceremony in Las Vegas in February – admits she is excited to get the blessing to her new husband underway.

She said: “It’s going to be great sharing this fantastic day with my friends and family. I can’t wait to celebrate our love for each other again.”

Katie Price has signed a £600,000 deal to televise her upcoming wedding.

The glamour model – who is also known as Jordan – will have her marriage blessing with cage-fighter Alex Reid recorded for a TV show entitled ‘Kate and Alex: For Better For Worse’, which will air on ITV2.

The three-part series will feature the couple’s preparations, blessing and honeymoon.

The pair originally tied the knot in Las Vegas in February and at the time Katie was adamant she would not profit from the union, like she did from her failed marriage to Peter Andre.

The 32-year-old brunette said about her forthcoming wedding: “I can’t wait to celebrate our love for each other again.”

Alex, 34, added: “Katie and I are looking forward to spending our special day with our family and close friends.”

It was reported earlier in the year that the couple are planning to spend £1 million on their second wedding

A source said at the time: “It’s set to be star-studded as. The marquee should be filled with English country garden-style flowers including calla lilies, lavender and dahlias. Guests will be welcomed with champagne and canapes and cupcakes. They will be picked up by coach and taken to a top secret location on the day.”

Peter Andre’s marriage was “weird”.

The Australian singer – who married glamour model Katie Price in September 2005 after meeting on UK reality TV show ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ in January 2004 – is astonished by how quickly their relationship progressed.

Peter – who split from Katie last May – said: “You know, the whole situation was weird. The whole relationship was so quick and so fast and when I look back on it… It wasn’t a natural process.

“The normal way is that you live with someone first, get to know them, court them for a while. It was a very different thing to that. And I can’t say it was all bad because we had some good times together.”

The ‘Behind Closed Doors’ hitmaker also admitted Katie banned him from having a bachelor party before they married, but he is now planning an all-male holiday to make up for it later this year.

He said: “I wasn’t allowed a bachelor party! I never had one. I was told if I was even so much as pictured with another girl – even if she was just a fan or whatever – the wedding would be off. So I chose the wedding.

“When you’re in love, you just go along with stuff, don’t you?

“I’m actually thinking of going away with a few mates to the States later this year to have the stag do I never had. And then I don’t have to worry who I get pictured with.”

Peter is currently single but admits he would think twice about dating anyone who wanted to control his actions in the future.

He added in an interview with New! magazine: “I would foresee problems if someone was like that with me now.”

Alex Reid wants an “army” of children.

The cage fighter – who is step-father to wife Katie Price’s three kids Harvey, eight, Junior, four, and two-year-old Princess Tiaammi – can’t wait to be a dad to his own kids and wants to have as many as possible with the glamour model.

He said: “When Kate launched her baby range, KP Baby, she said she would love to have eight children. I know that sounds like a handful, but let’s have an army and take over the world. I’d love to have a child with Kate, full stop. And I love her three kids dearly, I really do. We have so much fun together and they are the light of my life.”

Katie recently turned 32 and Alex bombarded her with presents and cakes for her birthday.

He explained: “I surprised Kate on the morning of her birthday with loads of cupcakes and her presents. I bought her loads of things but I don’t want to say exactly what they were. She loved them, though! I also had a couple of cupcakes, and so did Harvey.”
