Kate Moss’ neighbours are upset with her plans to install CCTV cameras at her home

The supermodel is revamping her £8 million house in north London, but her neighbours are not happy with the new security arrangements she and new husband Jamie Hince have proposed.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “Kate is giving her house a makeover, but locals are unhappy with her plans to install so much CCTV.

“She was hoping to move in soon, but it looks like she’s going to have a fight with the council planners and neighbours first.”

Camden council – who administer the city’s Highgate area, where the house is located – have confirmed they have received a complaint from a neighbour about the security plans, which could affect the couple’s moving-in date to the property, which they bought in January this year.

In addition to the security plans, 37-year-old Kate – who has an eight-year-old daughter, Lila, from her relationship with Jefferson Hack – is also planning on having a Moroccan hammam-mosaic steam room installed, similar to one she has in her current home in nearby St John’s Wood.

The source added: “Kate and Jamie love it and spend lots of time having steams there and chilling out. And it’s also great for her job as the world’s most successful model. It helps her skin tone.

“In three years’ time she’ll be turning 40 and she knows she has to look after her face and body as they are her livelihood.”

The steam room is said to be decorated with green red and brown mosaic tiles, with high tech lighting which changes colour and resembles stars.

Elsewhere in the house, there will reportedly be a room kept free for Kate’s friend, celebrity hairdresser James Brown.

The ‘Judas’ hitmaker and the supermodel – who is set to wed The Kills frontman Jamie Hince on July 1 – discussed how much they love the musical instrument when they met in May after Gaga performed at London’s Annabel’s club, and so the 25-year-old singer sent her new friend the unusual gift because she can’t make the British beauty’s forthcoming nuptials.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “Kate was so touched that Gaga sent her such a thoughtful present.

“Kate would have loved Gaga to be at the wedding, but because of her busy work schedule she can’t make it.

Meanwhile, the ‘Poker Face’ singer is set to go on a five-day promotional tour of Taiwan from July 1-5, and Taichung city’s government is so excited about the popstar’s forthcoming visit they have branded July 3 ‘Lady Gaga Day’, and will present the eccentric star with the keys to the city at a party to welcome her.

She will also play tracks from her latest album, ‘Born This Way’ at the event.

Kate Moss has changed her wedding date to July 1.

The British model – who had originally planned to marry rocker Jamie Hince on July 2 – has left her 300 guests confused with a cryptic invitation that gave no reason why the nuptials have been changed, or whether her plans for a “festival” to celebrate her marriage will still go ahead.

A guest revealed: “I received a piece of white card with silver writing on it. It read, ‘Kate Moss and Jamie Hince will be marrying pm Friday July 1. Save the date’.

“The date has shifted from Saturday the 2nd but there’s no information about where the wedding is, how many days, nights, etc. Kate’s doing her usual secret mission stuff but it’s not so funny when the wedding’s just four weeks away.”

While the nuptials were believed to being held in a church near the 37-year-old beauty’s home in Oxfordshire, South East England, Kate’s sudden change of plans has thrown her guests into panic about what will actually be happening.

Kate Moss’ wedding dress will be designed by John Galliano

The supermodel is tying the knot with rocker Jamie Hince on July 2 and has asked her long-time friend to create her bridal gown.

The 37-year-old catwalk queen reportedly announced her choice of designer at a Topshop dinner during London Fashion Week.

Galliano has created wedding outfits for numerous stars, including Emily Blunt, Penelope Cruz and Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen – who wore a custom-made dress with spaghetti straps and a unique veil when she and her husband Tom Brady held a second wedding ceremony in Costa Rica in April 2009.

He also created a gown which had a finish that looked as though it had been dipped in pink paint for Gwen Stefani’s 2002 nuptials to Gavin Rossdale.

Kate and Galliano have been close friends since she started out in the fashion business in the early 90s.

She recently praised the 50-year-old creative – who is the head designer as Christian Dior – revealing their relationship is based on “mutual admiration”.

The supermodel was reportedly joined in Sicily, Italy, by just a few close friends and family members as she tied the knot with The Kills rocker Jamie Hince – who she started dating in September 2007 – on August 7.

A source said: “It was quiet – but still very romantic.

“Kate’s had a fairly turbulent love life but she’s a romantic at heart. The plans were kept very quiet as Kate wanted the day to be low-key and purely a celebration of their love. She’s never been one for convention or tradition, but Jamie’s been there for her through thick and thin, and she simply felt the time was right.”

Kate – who wore a see-through white dress and was barefoot for the ceremony – and Jamie reportedly decided to go to the idyllic island to avoid as much attention as possible, and chose a small picturesque church to declare their love for one another.

The British star’s eight-year-old daughter Lila – whose father is Kate’s ex-boyfriend Jefferson Hack – was one of three ringbearers at the ceremony.

The 36-year-old beauty was determined to keep the ceremony “spiritual” and the couple celebrated their love by dancing under the trees.

Kate Moss is planning to open a Bed and Breakfast hotel in Cornwall

The supermodel is reportedly making plans to move to the South West English coast with rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince and seven-year-old daughter Lila Grace – whose father is publisher Jefferson Hack – and is hoping to buy a £1.2 million five-bedroom property and convert it into a luxury guest house.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “She is desperate for a healthier lifestyle away from all the celeb parties for the sake of her health and for her daughter.

“Jamie is over the moon as he has been keen to get Kate to quit the capital for a while.”

Although she has not been to view the property – named Bodriggan and located in the village of Golant – Kate has reportedly shown pictures of it to all her friends. The property has a mock-Tudor styled fronting, and its own vineyard.

Another friend said: “She’s yearned for a seaside retreat for some time. Jamie’s quite a bookworm so he turned her on to the Cornish writer Daphne du Maurier, who lived in Fowey, and since then Kate has been researching the area. They are planning to convert it into a luxury Bed and Breakfast for their friends.”

Although the couple want to convert the property to a guesthouse, it is not thought Kate will be offering rooms to the general public, instead reserving the spare rooms for her pals.

The source added: “It will be more a place for her friends to stay – I can’t see her renting rooms to total strangers.”

Kate and Jamie have previously bid to buy a property in Bigbury on Sea, Devon, in a different part of the South West coast, but their £5 million offer was turned down.

They have also reportedly been spotted househunting on the island of Stromboli, off Italy, where they are said to have tried to buy a plot of land to build a coastal home.

The house will be the 36-year-old beauty’s third UK property, after her base in London and a country retreat in the Cotswolds in Oxfordshire.

She told Company magazine: “Lila’s already got a great handbag collection! She’s got a mirrored Fendi bag and she’ll say things like, ‘I’m not going to wear that anymore’.

“She knows what she likes and I can’t force her to wear anything she doesn’t want to, which is annoying sometimes. She loves clothes. She’s got really good style, as well.

“I rarely go shopping without her now. She tells me what she doesn’t like or she’ll say ‘Mummy, you look nice,’ or ‘That dress is amazing!’ She’s got it.”

Kate isn’t the only star to take fashion advice from her offspring.

Victoria Beckham’s seven-year-old son Romeo loves helping her out with her fashion range.

The singer-turned-designer – who also raises sons Brooklyn, 10, and four-year-old Cruz with soccer star husband David Beckham – said: “We had dinner last night and Romeo wore a suit with a little shirt and tie. That’s what he would wear every single day, he’s so into fashion.

The 35-year-old supermodel believes Alison Mosshart, her boyfriend Jamie Hince’s Kills bandmate, would be the perfect match for her troubled ex-boyfriend, who she split from in 2007, and is now planning a double date.

A friend told the Daily Star newspaper: “Kate still has deep feelings for Pete and really wants to be happy and to enjoy life. Since falling head-over-heels in love with Jamie she wants to help Pete achieve the same.

The supermodel has put down a deposit on a £20 million apartment in the French capital and is planning to move there in the spring with her daughter Lila.

A source said: “Kate has told model agency bosses she wants to be at the heart of the fashion world.

“After 34 years in London, Kate feels its time for a break – and cannot wait to immerse herself in the Parisian way of life.”

The apartment’s reception room has views of the Eiffel tower, and is close to Paris’ main Chanel store.

She said in an interview on fashion news website WWD: “There are loads of mottos. There’s, ‘Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels’. That’s one of them. You try and remember, but it never works.”

Similar phrases can be found on pro-anorexia websites such as Starving For Control – which can be found at the web address www.freewebs.com/toxicana/tipsandtricks – which carries the slogan “nothing tastes as good as thin feels”.

The 35-year-old British beauty – who has a seven-year-old daughter, Lila Grace – has now been accused of encouraging young people to develop eating disorders.

Dr Anthea Fursland, a psychologist who specialises in treating eating disorders, told the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper: “The term is used in anorexia websites to reinforce to themselves and each other to pursue thinness.

“I think it could have quite a large impact having someone so famous saying that. She is just giving credence to a belief that we are trying to move away from. If they’re at the cusp and feeling vulnerable, that might send them back into the pursuit of thinness.”

Model Katie Green – who launched the Say No To Size Zero campaign in the UK earlier this year – also blasted Kate’s remarks, warning that websites which encourage eating disorders will “go crazy” over her comments, believing she supports their cause.

She said: “There are 1.1 million eating disorders in the UK alone. Kate Moss’s comments are likely to cause many more.

“If you read any of the pro-anorexia websites they go crazy for quotes like these.”
