Jesse James and Kat Von D have split up – again.

The couple – who separated in July before reuniting a month later – have called off their engagement, the tattoo artist has revealed.

Kat wrote on her Facebook page: “I am not in a relationship. And I apologise for all the ‘back and forth’ if it’s caused any confusion.” Kat says she split from Jesse – who was previously married to Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock – because they were on “different paths in life”, but she insists she has no hard feelings toward the motorcycle entrepreneur.

She told People: “It was clear to me that we were just on two different paths in life. My friend put it best when he said I could never be more deserving of total, noble love. And as a woman, I think it’s important to know your value and never lose sight of that.

“I wish Jesse nothing but the best in life and in love.”

Jesse is currently based in Austin, Texas, and it seems that may have been a factor in the couple’s split.

Kat wrote on Facebook: “I am not in any way moving to Texas. And I am not leaving my shop here in Los Angeles, High Voltage Tattoo.”

Kat Von D’s ‘L.A. Ink’ TV show has been axed

The series – which follows the goings on at High Voltage Tattoo, the Los Angeles shop owned by the tattoo artist – is set to finish at the end of the current fourth season, which has seen the 29-year-old star showcasing her wedding plans with motorcycle entrepreneur Jesse James before they were cancelled.

The TLC television network told RadarOnline.com: “TLC has decided that the current season of ‘L.A. Ink’ will be its last.

“The network is proud of what the series has accomplished in its four seasons, following Kat Von D’s journey as an artist from Miami to Los Angeles.”

Gil Lopez – executive producer for ‘L.A. Ink’, which premiered in August 2007 – recently explained how the TV cameras had “full access” to the couple’s “fairly tale love story”.

He said: “She’s bumming. They were both in love. There was the unfortunate distance that tears things apart but she really tried and gave it all. She really committed to it. Like anybody, if you’re going to go on an eight or nine month journey and fully commit to someone, when it ends, it’s tough. She’s got a great attitude.

“We were really able to document what to all of us involved in the story is a fairy tale love story. We really got full access from the moment they got engaged [in January 2011] and how Jesse asked her father and how he proposed, to all the way through her looking for wedding dresses, talks to designers about wedding dresses. She was in love, madly in love.”

Despite the couple’s split, Kat recently insisted she has “no regrets” about getting a tattoo of the 42-year-old TV personality’s face inked on her body.

Jessie James and Kat Von D are to marry next month

The ‘West Coast Choppers’ host – whose divorce from actress Sandra Bullock was finalised last June – announced his engagement to the 28-year-old tattoo artist yesterday (20.01.11) after five months of dating and friends say the couple don’t plan to waste any time before tying the knot.

A source told RadarOnline.com: “Jesse and Kat don’t see any reason why they should wait to trade vows.

“They are madly in love with each other and want to make everything official.”

According to the insider, the couple are planning a “non-traditional” wedding service, which will take place outside of California in front of a small number of guests.

Meanwhile, Jesse – who has previously been married three times and has three children – has praised his new fiancee as the “most beautiful girl in the world”.

After being asked on twitter if she deserved the accolade, he replied: “Yes she is.”

Announcing his engagement on Thursday, Jesse, 41, said: “You know sometimes the public and press gets it wrong. This is one of those times. Actually, 2010 was the best year of my life because I fell in love with my best friend. An amazing woman who stood behind me when the world turned their backs.

“I have never met anyone so kind and loving and committed to making the world a better place every day. My love for her is beyond description. So honoured that she said ‘yes’. Growing old with her is going to be a f**in’ blast!”

Sandra Bullock was reunited with her ex-husband’s daughter on Christmas Day (25.12.10)

The ‘Blind Side’ actress – who split with motorcyclist Jesse James last year after a string allegations he had cheated on her – had seven-year-old Sunny visit her and her adopted son, 11-month-old Louis Bardo at their home in Austin, Texas, after the little girl spent the morning with her dad and his latest love, reality TV star Kat Von D.

A source told website RadarOnline.com: “Sunny had a star-studded Christmas because she was with Kat Von D in the morning and then she saw Sandra in the afternoon.

“Even although Sandra and her father are no longer together they have remained in touch – she had fun seeing Louis and playing with him although she was not allowed to feed him.

“Despite everything that has happened between Sandra and Jesse, Sandra has remained in touch with Sunny and his other two kids Jesse Jr. and Chandler too.”

It had previously been revealed that 46-year-old Sandra was keen for Louis to spend time with Jesse’s children over the festive season.

A source said recently: “Sandra wants to make sure Louis grows up knowing Jesse’s children, so she is willing to put the past behind her for the sake of the kids.

“Sandra knows that having Jesse’s family in Louis’ life is good for him. So she’s opening her home and her heart to the children, inviting them to visit at Christmastime.”

Jesse currently has full custody of Sunny, while her mother Janine Lindemulder has weekly visitation rights.

Kat Von D Loses War Over Jesse James Footage

Kat Von D put up one hell of a fight – but TMZ has learned producers behind “L.A. Ink” have decided to include footage of Jesse James in the season finale, despite Kat’s demand to cut him from the show.

Sources connected to the TLC reality show tell us … “Ink” execs felt they would be “sacrificing the integrity of the show” by ignoring Kat’s headline-making relationship and break-up from James in tonight’s season finale.

As we previously reported, Kat flipped out a few weeks ago when she saw a preview of the finale — which featured the relationship — and demanded producers either pull the footage, or she would refuse to participate in future production.

Kat lost that battle — but she did score ONE victory .. we’re told producers did agree to cut some controversial footage showing Kat bad-mouthing another one of her exes, Nikki Sixx.

Kat Von D — Meltdown Over Jesse James

More drama behind the scenes at “L.A. Ink” — where sources tell us Kat Von D went nuclear over the way her ex-boyfriend Jesse James was portrayed in an upcoming episode.

Multiple sources tell us the recent drama began in the last few days … after Kat viewed screeners of some upcoming episodes which spotlight her relationships with Jesse and her on-again BF Nikki Sixx.

We’re told Kat — who was dating Jesse when the show was being taped — has decided that she no longer wants any traces of him on the TLC show … and demanded that producers pull him from all future episodes.

Now, producers are desperately trying to rip Jesse from the show — but we’re told there’s so much content to remove … they’re worried they may to pack the show with extra commercials to fill out the time before the show airs Wednesday night.

Calls to Kat’s reps have not been returned.

Kat Von D Threatens ‘Ink’ Producers Over Nikki Sixx

Kat Von D just went nuclear on the producers of her reality show “L.A. Ink” – threatening a legal war over several scenes that feature Kat trash-talking her on-again boyfriend Nikki Sixx.

Sources close to the production tell us … Kat went ballistic on producers earlier this week when she viewed screeners of some upcoming episodes of “Ink” … which contained several scenes featuring Kat going off about her then ex-boyfriend Nikki Sixx.

Here’s the problem — the footage was shot a while ago, while Kat was dating Jesse James … and back then, she still harbored some ill-feelings toward Nikki.

But now, Kat and Nikki are back together — and when Kat previewed the footage from the upcoming episodes, which contained the anti-Nikki smack talk, we’re told Kat “freaked out.”

We’re told Kat demanded producers re-edit the show ASAP — removing all negative Nikki references and killing a storyline involving a “Nikki vs. Jesse” theme … or else she would file legal papers in an attempt to stop the show dead in its tracks.

In the end — we’re told producers begrudgingly obliged and Kat’s comments will never see the light of day.

Long before Kat Von D, Jesse James and Sandra Bullock were part of each other’s romantic history, Kat and Sandy shared an odd connection … via a tattoo.

Back in 2001, Kat Von D — a famous celebrity tattoo artist — was asked to ink a permanent image of Sandra’s face onto the chest of one of her male clients who happened to be a huge fan of “Speed.”

So there you have it — Kat Von D is now dating the ex-husband of a person she once tattooed on a total stranger.

Multiple sources pretty damn close to the couple tell us the two were seen getting all touchy-feely with each other at the Mandalay Bay hotel … and had a romantic dinner at N9ne Steakhouse at The Palms.

But here’s the rub — if you know what we’re sayin’ –  they stayed at another very high end Vegas hotel.

Kat Von D’s people are playing the “just friends” card — but we’re told “friends with benefits” is more like it.

His and her tats can’t be far behind … if they can find an open space.
