The singer-and-actor – who recently rekindled his relationship with actress Jessica Biel – loves studying old movies and believes outstanding performances have their own sense of romance.

He said: “To me, romance is not just about love. I recently saw ‘Lust, Caution’, and it’s tragic and romantic. I don’t know how they shot those sex scenes. Those scenes looked crazy. In general, movies as a form are romantic to me. One of my favourite performances is Donald O’Connor doing ‘Make ‘Em Laugh’ in ‘Singin’ in the Rain’. To me, the performance of song and dance with humour and props is a lost art. His performance is masterful and subtle – romantic in a different way.”

Justin, 30, shot to fame as a member of the ‘All-New Mickey Mouse Club’ in 1993 before going on to be a part of NSYNC but he insists he doesn’t mind the fact the “weird stages” of his teenage years were lived out in public – though he regrets some of his outfits.

He added in an interview with W magazine: “It’s different now, but in the past I’ve had some accidents, for sure. I think I have to laugh about the fact that I grew up in public. All these weird stages in my teenage years are documented. Why did no one tell me how terrible some of those outfits were?”

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have reportedly rekindled their relationship

The couple – who split in March after four years together – are said to have enjoyed a romantic weekend at a friend’s wedding in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and were “by each other’s sides” all night when they spotted at a bar in the town with a group of pals.

An onlooker told RadarOnline.com: “They were being very low key. The bar was packed on Saturday night, as it always is. Justin and Jessica were very much together. Jessica’s hair was down, and she is beautiful. Justin was wearing a hat, and was by her side the entire night.

“Their group arrived around 10.30pm, and they stayed until 1am People in the bar definitely knew who they were, but no one bombarded them.”

Despite Justin having recently been linked to his ‘Friends With Benefits’ co-star Mila Kunis, this isn’t the first time it has been suggested he’s rekindled his former romance with Jessica.

In July, a source said: “They’ve been quietly seeing each other again. They have been talking the whole time and decided to give it another shot.

“Jessica really wanted to get back together with him and Justin thought single life was not what it’s cracked up to be.”

Justin Timberlake is “frugal”

The 30-year-old star admits he does not like to be careless with his cash and rarely shops, and doesn’t think money can buy happiness.

He said: “I will say that I’m pretty frugal. I’ll probably shop for clothes for myself once a year, and that will last me for the rest of the year.

“What was it that Prince said, ‘Money can’t buy you happiness, but it can help pay for the pursuit.

“It’s nice to have places in Los Angeles and New York. I spend enough time in both that’s it’s nice to have a home. But I don’t need them.”

The ‘Friends with Benefits’ actor also reveals he does not have many friends and believes he will die “In a small town”.

He added to The Observer Magazine: “I grew up in a small town and I could count my friends on one hand, and I still live that way. I think I’ll die in a small town. When I can’t move my bones around a stage anymore, you’ll find me living in a place that’s spread out and rural and spacious.”

He said: “I don’t want this to come out the wrong way… It was an amazing platform but even without it, I believe I would have been heard as a solo artist.

When he went solo, Justin refused to play both his debut record, ‘Justified’, and the 2006 follow-up ‘FutureSex/ Love Sounds’ to his record company until they were complete and he admits he is still baffled as to why he was permitted to do so.

He told Britain’s Elle magazine: “I don’t know why they let me do that. But I hadn’t come out of nowhere. People had preconceptions and I didn’t want to be misunderstood.

“I’ve learned that people have preconceptions, period. They’re uncontrollable but they’re not.

Justin Timberlake’s pals have called the paparazzo his bodyguard has been accused of assaulting a “lying piece of s**t”

The ‘Friends with Benefits’ actor was joining his co-star Mila Kunis – who he is said to be dating – at London’s exclusive Nobu restaurant on Tuesday night (02.08.11) when a smartly-dressed man, believed to be his security assistant, was reportedly seen punching a photographer to the floor although a close friend of Justin claims this is completely untrue.

He told E! News: “[Justin's bodyguard] did not touch that photographer.”He was a lying piece of s**t photographer who fell down.

“[The bodyguard was arrested because] that’s how it is [in the U.K.]; to be arrested is to be questioned. And after questioning him, the police determined that the bodyguard did not touch the photographer and he was released with no charges.”

A spokesperson for Scotland Yard said yesterday (03.08.11): “Police were called to Berkeley Square at approximately 9.45 Tuesday night. A man alleged he was assaulted.

“He suffered minor injuries. He did not require hospital treatment. Officers later arrested a 45-year-old man at a central London hotel on suspicion of common assault. He is being held at a central London police station. Enquiries are on-going.”

Justin Timberlake is no good at giving advice on love

The singer-turned-actor has romanced beauties including Britney Spears, Cameron Diaz and – until March this year – Jessica Biel, but insists he isn’t the right person to advise other people on their relationships.

Speaking at the premiere of his latest film, ‘Friends With Benefits’ in New York last night (18.07.11), he told People.com: “I should not give anybody love advice. Yeah, listen to a single male – yeah, that will work out!”

The ‘Cry Me a River’ hitmaker has also previously said he thinks casual sex is a “bad idea,” and feels too much is made out of choosing to be single. He said: “If you’re going to be intimate with someone, at some point, somebody’s going to feel something. “It’s a really good idea until it becomes a bad idea. It probably becomes a bad idea really fast.

“I think there’s too much being made these days about being ’single’ or ‘not single’. “I’m just enjoying exploring my life right now and wherever that path ends up will be OK because that’s where I’ll have wanted it to end up.”

Since he split from Jessica, the 30-year-old star has been linked to ‘TRON: Legacy’ actress Olivia Wilde and his ‘Friends With Benefits’ co-star Mila Kunis, but insists he is just friends with both.

Even those close to the pair are questioning the nature of their relationship however, with the film’s co-writer, Keith Merryman, saying at last night’s premiere: “They have such amazing chemistry, everyone is questioning what is going on. Is it art? Is it life?”

Justin Timberlake spends “14 hours” at a time in the recording studio

The singer-and-actor penned some tracks with British star Jessie J and the ‘Do It Like a Dude’ hitmaker was astonished by his work ethic.

She said: “When he’s in the studio, he is in the studio. We would literally spend 14 hours in there and not leave.

“I would be like, ‘Where is the toilet please?’ I’m going to wet myself.”

Justin discovered Jessie after witnessing some of her teenage performances on YouTube and she was overwhelmed by the praise he heaped on her.

She recalled to Glamour magazine: “Justin sat me down and said, ‘You have the most incredible voice I’ve ever heard.’

“When someone likes that says it to you, you want to do one of those dance moves and sing, ‘Love and sex and magic.’ “

Jessie originally got signed to Sony in the US as a songwriter, and accepted the deal unsure if she had a future as a performer in her own right following a series of knockbacks.

She said: “I went round the UK and tried to get signed, and at the time it was like the bombardment of women – VV Brown, Gabriella Cilmi, Cheryl Cole, Adele, Duffy. Everyone was going, ‘We’re not going to buy into another girl now.’

“I got signed as a writer by Sony, so I flew to the US and went, ‘Maybe I’m not an artist.’ I knew at the back of my mind that I was, but sometimes you need someone to go, ‘Come on!’ “

Justin Timberlake insists there are no “particular qualities” he looks for in a woman

The 30-year-old singer-and-actor – who has previously dated stars including Jessica Biel, Cameron Diaz and Britney Spears – enjoys meeting new people and is happy to go wherever life takes him because he can’t understand the “drama” which surrounds relationships.

He said: “I don’t know that I’m looking for anything in particular.

“I think people are people and I enjoy meeting them. I don’t know that there’s a particular quality in a woman I would go for over any other.

“I think there’s too much being made these days about being ’single’ or ‘not single’. There’s too much drama about it when it really shouldn’t be much of an issue at all.

“I’m just enjoying exploring my life right now and wherever that path ends up will be OK because that’s where I’ll have wanted it to end up.”

The ‘Bad Teacher’ star – who shot to fame aged just 12 as a member of the ‘All-New Mickey Mouse Club’ – turned 30 in January and admitted it has taken him until now to learn to relax and not seek acknowledgement in as many areas as possible.

He added in an interview with Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “It’s an exciting time for me. I kind of had a feeling in my twenties that I wanted to do as much as I could, as fast as I could, and I did do a lot of amazing stuff.

“But now I’m able to look at life and say, ‘You know, I don’t necessarily need to do everything.’ I don’t feel the need to be validated any more, which is a great place to be.

“Since I wrapped ‘Bad Teacher’, I haven’t been doing a lot of work, I’ve just been being. And that’s very enjoyable.”

The former couple – who separated in 2007 after almost four years of dating – have teamed up for new movie ‘Bad Teacher’ and the actress found it “easy” working with her former lover because they are so comfortable with one another.

She explained: “We break up. We move on. All I want for him is happiness. And all he wants is my happiness. His isn’t reliant on me and mine isn’t on him. It was at one point; we had that moment. But now…Let’s make a movie. Let’s go have some fun. We’re good at being funny together. We know how to do that. That’s easy.”

Though Lea doesn’t worry about meeting her heroes, she would love it if Madonna or Justin Timberlake were given guest roles on the programme.

She said: “It would be great if Madonna had a cameo – she would be amazing! I think she could be the health teacher or something. Maybe the sex-education teacher!

Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga and Justin Timberlake are giving up twitter

The stars are signing off from all social media platforms, and will not return until an AIDS charity – Keep a Child Alive, which is spearheaded by Alicia – has raised $1 million.

For the campaign, the stars have filmed “last tweet and testament” videos and will appear in adverts showing them lying in coffins to represent their ‘digital deaths’.

Alicia will also be joined by her husband Swizz Beatz, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Ryan Seacrest, Elijah Wood, Serena Williams in the campaign, which will start on Wednesday (01.12.10), which is World AIDS Day.

Alicia said no one she has approached had turned her down, explaining: “Once I got people on the phone and I was able to paint the concept for them, everybody was in.”

Leigh Blake, who is president and co-founder of the charity, added: “We’re trying to sort of make the remark: Why do we care so much about the death of one celebrity as opposed to millions and millions of people dying in the place that we’re all from?”

Almost all the stars involved have over a million followers on micro-blogging site twitter, with Gaga alone having 7.2 million.

Leigh added: “I have a feeling that Gaga is going to raise it all by herself.”

Justin Timberlake doesn’t know if he wants to make music again

The ‘SexyBack’ hitmaker – who has not released a record since ‘Until the End of Time’ in 2007 – admits he is currently focused on his acting career and though he claims to be constantly composing new songs, is uncertain when he will make a chart return.

Asked when he will release another record, he said: “Does a painter make a painting because he has to make it by December 21st? No, he doesn’t. It happens when it pours out of him. That’s how music is for me … I never stop making music. I don’t know what else to tell you, except that I just don’t know in what capacity I want to be involved anymore … All I’m saying is, in very simple terms, I’ll know when I know. And until I know, I don’t know when I’ll put another album out.”

Despite enjoying acting, Justin believes he has to work even harder to land film roles because of his musical background.

Speaking about his new role in ‘The Social Network’, he told Entertainment Weekly magazine: “I did a marathon of testing for the film. I tested more than anyone. I have to fight against my music career – I’m cognizant of that. But I didn’t care. I loved the part and I wanted to work with David Fincher, the director, so bad that I was like, ‘We can read this scene butt-naked if you guys want.’ “

Robert Pattinson has been named the world’s sexiest man

The ‘Twilight‘ hunk has topped Glamour’s 50 Sexiest Men poll for the second year running, after fighting off stiff competition from other actors starring in vampire-based productions.

The top five was dominated by ‘Twilight’ actors, with 18-year-old Taylor Lautner – who plays Jacob Black, the werewolf love rival to Robert’s character Edward Cullen in the hit film franchise –in second place, and Xavier Samuel and Kellan Lutz placed fourth and fifth respectively.

The hunky trio were rivalled by ‘The Vampire Diaries’ star Ian Somerhalder, who was voted third in the survey, proving that women can’t get enough of men with fangs.

Glamour’s acting editor Charlotte Duck said: “Women are attracted to vampires because of the element of danger that comes with them. They are the ultimate bad boys – and women want to tame the beasts.”

The list – which was compiled from over 50,000 votes by readers of Glamour.com – also included many shocks, with many attractive stars being placed further down the list than in previous years.

Johnny Depp dropped from second place to sixth, while soccer star David Beckham slipped from fourth down to 21st.

Hollywood legend George Clooney only reached position 35 on the list, while Leonardo DiCaprio, Keanu Reeves and Jude Law- who have scored highly in the survey in recent years – did not even feature.

The singer-and-actor – who is dating actress Jessica Biel and has previously romanced Cameron Diaz and Britney Spears – loves the natural smell of a woman, so long as it isn’t too overpowering.

He told Cosmopolitan magazine: “Some people say BO (body odour) can be an aphrodisiac and I agree. It depends on the body the odour is coming from. It’s a long-term intimate thing.

“You don’t want it to be the first thing you smell when she comes into the room. It’s about layers – layers meant to be discovered.”

The singer-and-actor – who is dating actress Jessica Biel – admits he can’t bare to leave his pimples alone and won’t let them go away naturally.

He said: “What do I do if I have a spot? Get rid of it! I love doing that.”

Justin also admitted he is “religious” in his use of sun screen as he fears getting red-skinned.

He said: “I’m religious with sunscreen. British men do lobster don’t they? When I worked in Orlando as a kid, you could always tell who the Brits were. They had tank-top lines and bright-red arms.”

Justin Timberlake is thrilled to be voicing an iconic character.

The singer-and-actor is lending his southern tones to Yogi Bear’s sidekick Boo-Boo in a forthcoming part-live action movie version of the hit cartoon and was delighted to be involved with a series he was such a fan of as a child.

Justin – who stars opposite Dan Aykroyd as Yogi in the movie – said: “It’s pretty awesome. I used to watch the cartoon as a kid.

“You’re talking about a classic, two classic characters which have been around since my parents. Yogi Bear is an iconic Hanna Barbera cartoon. So it’s been a lot of fun.”

The 28-year-old star admits he tried to stay as faithful as possible to the original character when recording his voiceovers.

He added: “I will say this, Dan does an amazing Yogi Bear and hopefully I did Boo-Boo justice. But we’re really – for lack of a better term – mimicking what you recognise as those voices from the cartoon.”

Justin Timberlake is “insecure” about his talent.

The 29-year-old star – who shot to fame aged 12 as a member of the New Mickey Mouse Club – claims he is still not fully comfortable either as a singer or a performer, despite winning several awards for his work.

He said: “I think I’m equally insecure about both of them. I’ve been doing this for two thirds of my life and I still consider myself pretty young but I think that’s the part you battle with all the time.

“When you’re creating your art, that’s the best part. Your senses are on a creative high and then the part where everyone gets to see it and comment on it, that’s the part I think you battle with until you die.

“It’s absolutely terrifying.”

Justin doesn’t want to be known only for either his acting or singing talents and thinks his early work on the children’s TV show gave him a solid grounding in both professions.

Justin – who voices the character Boo-Boo Bear in upcoming animated movie ‘Yogi Bear’ – added: “It’s no secret I was trained as a very young kid on a TV show with a lot of other extremely talented actors and singers – Christina Aguilera, Ryan Gosling.

“I think we were all trained in the arts, be it song, dance or acting.”

Jessica Biel was “one of the guys” on the set of ‘The A-Team’.

Despite being the only girl on set, the 28-year-old brunette beauty – who plays military hardliner Charisa Sosa in the reimagining of the 80s TV show – loved being surrounded by macho guys all day.

Speaking at the UK premiere of the movie at the Empire cinema in London’s Leicester Square, Jessica told BANG Showbiz: “I was pretty much just one of the guys. Our director Joe Carnahan just made everything so comfortable. So I never felt like an intruder coming into a boys club. And the guys are so nice and so kind and so professional and really behaved themselves. We had a really great time.”

The actress – who is currently dating pop heartthrob Justin Timberlake – was also more than happy to shoot her romantic scenes with Bradley Cooper, who plays Templeton ‘Face’ Peck.

She said: “Kissing Bradley Cooper? Well somebody has to do it!”

The ‘A-Team’ actress admits she has cravings for healthy snacks when she is working on a movie, because she needs to be able to keep working for 18 hours at a time.

She said: “I really feel like food is a drug. When I’m not eating properly, I have less energy – my body looks different, which means it looks different on film. I look different through my face. I think about those kinds of things and I want to feel more than it is the vanity part of it. She explained: “I absolutely had a mad, crazy period. Probably 16 to 22-ish, I was sneaking out of the house, getting in trouble. The thing with the US is you can’t drink until you’re 21, but everyone drinks before.

The actress – who stars alongside  and Quinton Jackson in the 2010 big screen remake of the hit 80s TV series – accepts the action movie “won’t please everyone” and fans of the original show will probably be more critical than most.

She said: “There’s a heightened sense of concern when you’re doing something so beloved around the world. What I always think is you can’t please everybody.

“There will be people who hate it; there will be people who absolutely love it. Hopefully, people will come and see it and make whatever judgement they want.”

Although the set was fuelled by testosterone, the brunette beauty – who is currently dating pop heartthrob Justin Timberlake – enjoyed working with nearly all men.

She said: “It was super-manly, but fun. They loved having some female energy. The make-up girls would come in and they just flocked to all the women on set.

“It was nice to have men and women together. All testosterone, all oestrogen – a little too much of one is never good. I felt very comfortable… but there were a lot of fart jokes!”

Lady Gaga had to be dragged out of her dressing room by Oprah Winfrey after suffering from stage fright.

The ‘Telephone’ singer hid backstage prior to her performance at the Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (03.05.10) – which was attended by an exclusive crowd of 700, including Anne Hathaway, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez – but the talk show host helped her overcome her nerves.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: “She literally wouldn’t come out. Friends tried, Warner Music executive Lyor Cohen tried, no dice. Eventually, Vito Schnabel came over and got artist Terence Koh on the phone to talk to her, which helped. Koh and Oprah were the ones who finally coaxed her out.”

However, the eccentric performer was told she could only perform at US Vogue editor Anna Wintour’s annual fete on the premise she was polite and didn’t swear on stage.

She quipped to the crowd in New York City: “I’ll never forget when Anna Wintour called me to play at this event, she called me and said, ‘I would like you to play at the Met gala, but I just want to make sure, because I’ve seen you perform before, that you won’t be swearing during the performance.’ So Anna, I will do my f**king best!”

The ‘Just Dance’ hitmaker’s performance seemingly got the guests in the mood for a singsong, as a number of A-list stars belted out tracks at the exclusive after party at the Mark Hotel.

A source added: “Pharrell Williams first jumped in and started singing ‘Beautiful,’ and then Sean Combs jumped up and started rapping to ‘All About the Benjamins.’ He even grabbed Anna Wintour into the deejay booth. Finally, Usher and Justin Timberlake joined in.”

Justin Timberlake and  Biel have reportedly ended their three year relationship.

The showbiz couple, who have been dogged by suggestions their union is close to breaking up for some time, have called it quits.

A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Justin truly thought he’dfound the one in Jessica and she felt the same. But the relationship
just didn’t seem to go anywhere. “They’ve both been working incredibly hard and will remain friendly – but there’s no more romance.

“It was mutual and they agreed it was best to part ways if things weren’t going to head towards marriage and kids. They are both incredibly busy.

“They both knew things were going to end for ages – it was just a matter of when.” Justin is currently filming new comedy movie ‘Bad Teacher’ with his ex-girlfriend Cameron Diaz, and the pair have been enjoying their time together, sharing jokes and getting on better than ever.

The source added: “Cameron was the one who got Justin into the film. She wanted him from the start. “There’s even been steamy love scenes and lots of kissing included in the script. They’re having a blast together.” Justin’s music career has taken a back seat to acting recently, and he has also filmed the role of Boo-Boo in a new big-screen adaptation of  ‘Yogi Bear’  The film’s director Eric Brevig recently admitted Justin has “nailed” the role.

He said: “We heard that he wanted to do the voice, and I thought, ‘Oh, great,’ because everybody thinks they can do Yogi and Boo-Boo.
“But when we met with him for the first time, he did the tiniest little amount and it was like, ‘This guy has got it nailed!’ ”
