Jessica Alba got caught in a “sandstorm” while hiking off her baby weight

The ‘Spy Kids 4′ actress only gave birth to second daughter, Haven Garner, on August 13, but by the end of the month was back working out, and started this week off by going for a walk with her friend Jacqui Lang Khastoo.

Jessica tweeted yesterday (05.09.11): “Supposed to wrk out 2day- let’s c if @jacqui_lang comes to pick me up (sic)!”

However, the weather wasn’t quite what they expected, as she later added: “Thx @jacqui_lang 4 the hike. Although a bit dirty and smelly it was a nice way to start the wk off. (sic).”

Jacqui tweeted back: “Consider the sandstorm a free exfoliating treatment! (sic)”

It is not known where the pair went for their hike, but they are thought to have set out from Jessica’s Los Angeles home.

Jessica – who also has three-year-old daughter Honor, with husband Cash Warren – tweeted on August 30 to say she was starting to work out again to lose her baby weight, but had sought advice from her doctor beforehand.

She wrote: “I did my first day of workout since I had the baby. Just cardio for 40 minutes. My doc told me I could start after 2 wks – I’m going light, stationary bike and elliptical. (sic)”

Before her birth, Jessica, admitted she was having trouble curbing her urges to eat, saying: “I have a hard time with portion control, so I have 1,200 calorie meals delivered.

“But I also work out, so basically I’m starving. It sucks. I drink a lot of water.”

Jessica Alba has become a mother for the second time

The actress – who already has a three-year-old daughter, Honor, with husband Cash Warren – gave birth to another girl on Saturday (13.08.11).

The couple have decided to name the tot – who weighed in at 7lbs – Haven Garner Warren and both mother and baby are doing well.

Jessica announced the happy news on her Facebook page, writing: “She was born on Saturday, weighed 7 lbs. and was 19 inches long. Healthy and happy! Big sister Honor couldn’t be more excited about the new addition to our family.

“Thank you for all of your support during my pregnancy. It means the world to me.”

Before the birth, Jessica revealed how she couldn’t wait to meet her new baby as she had already bonded with the tot during her pregnancy.

The 30-year-old beauty said: “The idea of loving someone as much as I love Honor is something I haven’t wrapped my head around yet. But I know I will and I can’t wait. As a mother carrying a baby we get to bond while the baby is growing – reaching each milestone, feeling hiccups, kicks, rolling around. It’s the blessing I think we get for all the round-ligament pain, sciatic pain and frequent trips to the bathroom.

“I’m signed up at three mommy sites that update me daily and weekly on the baby’s development, which is probably a bit much. But it’s a nice break from the day to check in with the baby, because, like everything else in life these days, time flies.”

Jessica Alba has had a “DIY” baby shower

The ‘Little Fockers’ star – who is expecting her second child with husband Cash Warren – enjoyed the celebration with several girlfriends and family and everyone had to make a decoration themselves.

Among the handmade creations were butterfly paper lanterns, paper water lilies and paper flower baskets, complete with paper flowers and dragonflies.

Jessica – who already has a two-year-old daughter Honor with Cash – revealed the private party by posting a selection of photographs of it on her Facebook page.

The 29-year-old actress revealed she and her friends decided to go down the “DIY route” because it was “more personal and fun” and they also “used a bunch of recycled materials” for the arts and crafts session.

Jessica announced she was pregnant again in a Facebook post in February.

The ‘Fantastic Four’ star said: “It’s been a while since I’ve been on FB & I thought I’d drop by to let you all in on some exciting news. Honor is going to be a Big Sister!

“Cash and I are thrilled and wanted to share the news directly with you so you didn’t hear about it somewhere else. I appreciated all of the love and support you all gave me during my first pregnancy and will definitely appreciate it again this time around. Have a great day! (sic)”

‘The Last Airbender’ swept the board at last night’s (26.02.11) Golden Raspberry Awards

After picking up the main unwanted accolade – dubbed the Razzie – of Worst Picture, the 3D movie was also awarded Worst Screenplay, Worst Supporting Actor for Jackson Rathbone’s appearance and Worst Eye-Gouging Misuse of 3D, while director M.Night Shyamalan took home Worst Director.

However, the fantasy film wasn’t the only movie to pick up multiple awards at the 31st Annual Golden Raspberry Awards, which were held at Los Angeles’ Barnsdal Gallery Theatre.

‘Sex and the City 2′ – which was critically panned when it hit cinemas last summer – took home the Razzie for Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel, while its leading ladies Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davies were given the collective nod for Worst Actress and Worst Screen Ensemble.

John Wilson, founder of the awards, said: “It was released in the middle of a period of American history when everyone’s scrounging not to lose their homes.

“And these women are riding around in Rolls-Royces, buying expensive shoes and just throwing money around like they’re drunk.”

Elsewhere, Ashton Kutcher picked up the award for Worst Actor in recognition of his roles in ‘Killers’ and romantic comedy ‘Valentine’s Day’, while Jessica Alba took home Worst Supporting Actress for quadruple blunders in ‘Little Fockers’, ‘Machete’, ‘Valentine’s Day’ and ‘The Killer Inside Me‘.

Little Fockers-Review

So, finally the third sequel is out and now it’s not about meeting the parents, it’s all about the children. Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) received a promotion at the hospital in a leading position and Pam (Teri Polo) is at home taking care of the children. With their lives in constant motion, Pam and Greg rearly have time for each other. Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro) just found out the tragic news that his favorite son-in-law, Dr. Bob (Tom McCarthy II) had relations outside of the marriage with his daughter. Dr. Bob and his wife didn’t spend must time together either, so when Jack and Dina (Blythe Danner) come over to visit, he opens up his eagle eyes again on Greg. Meanwhile, Greg meets a pharmacuetical rep, Andi Garcia (Jessica Alba), who is young and full of life. She wants him the speaker for a new drug (fixes male erectile dysfunction without raises the heart rate) her company is selling. Jack is snopping around and only hears what he think is infadelity and becomes more supicious. The last thing Jack wants is to see another daughter emotionally hurt, especially with Greg and Pam’s twins birthday party around the corner. So his next best plan is to get Pam’s ex, Kevin Rawley (Owen Wilson) and her back together. Will Greg be able to explain everything? Will Jack confront Greg? Will Pam open her eyes and be with Kevin?

Review:

I loved this movie. I have been hearing a lot of bad reviews and I 180 degrees disagree. This movie is as funny as the other two. I love how Greg has matured into the lead man when Jack tells him that Greg will take over the family when he dies. Off the subject, Ben Stiller is getting hotter. Why is it that when men get older, they become more attractive? Back to the movie, Jessica Alba’s character was a little too much. I mean, in the real world, a sales rep would not use slang when trying to talk to a nurse or doctor about a new product. I guess she can get away with it because she is beautiful, oh well. I liked that Jack and Greg finally did a good ole fashion fist fight. It was long overdue. Way to man up, Greg. My favorite scene was when Greg is looking for Jack in the ball pit and balls begin moving by in a random motion like ‘Jaws.’ Then Greg, screams to the children to get out of the pit, as if their lives are in danger. All in all, I will buy this film when it comes to dvd and blu ray.

Jessica Alba wants her daughter to be “trilingual”

The 29-year-old beauty – who has two-year-old daughter Honor with husband Cash Warren – wants her child to be able to speak three languages and is trying to speak to her in multiple dialogues. She said: “At hope I speak a little bit of Spanish to my daughter but its just basic stuff.

“My goal is for her to be trilingual. Because we’re enrolling her in a French school and then she gets Spanish every day at the house.”

Although Jessica is keeping busy teaching her daughter Spanish and English, she thinks she now has more time to be “wild” with her friends because she can bond with her pals after the youngster has gone to bed.

She said: “I think I’m actually a little more wild and free since I’ve had her because, once she’s in bed, all my mom friends, we get together and have dance parties at the house. It sounds really dorky but its true.

“It’s certainly something I wouldn’t have done before.”

Jessica Alba won’t spend time away from her daughter unless she is working on a great movie

The actress needs to have complete confidence she is going to star in a worthwhile project before accepting a role because she doesn’t like being separated from two-year-old Honor Marie, her child with husband Cash Warren.

She said: “The time I’m not spending with my kid has to be worth it, so when I sat down with my agents after I was ready to go back to work, I told them, ‘It’s all about the directors.’ ”

Jessica can next be seen appearing alongside Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro in comedy sequel ‘Little Fockers’ and admits she feels more comfortable playing a humorous character.

Speaking in the December issue of America’s Elle magazine, she added: “I’m shy. I don’t like being the centre of attention. But when I do comedy, I lose all inhibition and introspection. I no longer care. I know I haven’t been swimming in the deep end with some of the movies I’ve done. I wasn’t trying to. I knew what they were.”

The 29-year-old screen beauty also feels more comfortable as an actress as she has got older and she no longer lets criticism affect her.

She said: “I’d been so afraid of criticism ever since I was young. Every time I’d get a critique or some redirection, I’d always just take it very personally, but now I have no problem with it. It’s just a chance to try things a different way.”

Jessica Alba rebelled from her “strict” parents when she was just five

The 29-year-old actress admits her Catholic upbringing made her want to “break away” from her mother Catherine and father Mark.

She explained: “It’s always been weird because I grew up in a very traditional, Catholic household. My parents were very strict but I broke away from that at an early age. I was a feminist when I was five. These days, I am much more liberal-minded bit I still respect their beliefs.”

As Jessica has grown older she has learnt to accept her parents’ views, but still considers herself an independent woman.

In her latest film ‘Machete’ Jessica gets to stab a love rival in the eye with her stiletto heels, something she thoroughly enjoyed.

She said: “Walking in 3in heels wasn’t as much fun as putting one in someone’s eye. It was 104 degrees where we were shooting in Texas and they were not comfortable.”

Jessica – who has a two-year-old daughter Honor with husband Cash Warren - is regularly referred to as one of the world’s most beautiful women, but she doesn’t think of herself as “sexy”.

She added in an interview with the Metro newspaper: “I don’t really pay attention to that sexy image. It just goes with the character in the movie. At the end of the day, it’s all a part of selling a product.”

Mark Pearson, Managing Director of Groupola.com, which conducted the survey of 1,198 couples, said: “I think that having a ‘list’ in a relationship is fine, as long as they are taken in jest and feelings aren’t hurt.

“Although, I do wonder if any of the respondents would ever actually follow through with their ‘list’. I can’t help but think that even if people were confronted with the situation whilst in a serious relationship, they would probably shy away from it!”

Kellan Lutz has the Best Summer Body.

‘Twilight’ actor Kellan Lutz has been named the male star with the Best Summer Body, according to Men’s Health magazine.

The ripped ‘Twilight’ star has topped a list compiled by the editors of MensHealth.com to find the star with the perfect beach body.

The 25-year-old hunk beat toned actor Matthew McConaughey and his muscular ‘Twilight’ co-star Taylor Lautner to the top spot.

David Zinczenko, editor-in-chief of Men’s Health, said: “All of this year’s finalists have a deep commitment to working out, staying fit and eating smart. They have a variety of workout regimes from boxing to weight training, kayaking and hiking to training for marathons. Taylor Lautner would happily date a fan.

The ‘Twilight Saga’ actor – who has previously dated singer Taylor Swift – admits he doesn’t have very strict criteria when it comes to choosing a girlfriend.

He said: “Would I date a fan? Well I don’t exclude anyone, so sure, why not?

“I don’t have a type physically, but loyalty and honesty are important, and also someone who can also just be herself and just let loose and have fun.”

However, though the 18-year-old star claims he doesn’t have a type, he admits to having a crush on actress Jessica Alba.

He added: “I’ve always been a big fan of Jessica Alba. So I have to throw her name out there. Yeah, I’d have to stick with her because I’ve always loved Jessica.”

The ‘Killer Inside Me’ actress admits her Catholic upbringing was quite strict and though her mother and father had views she didn’t always agree with, she didn’t want to upset them by going on a different direction in her life.

Jessica, who grew up in California, said: “I come from a religious and traditional family. My mom grew up in the South and she had a Southern Baptist upbringing but my father was very Catholic. It’s hard to rebel without your family feeling like you’re rebelling against them. I don’t necessarily always agree with certain things and that has nothing to do with how much I love them or how much they love me. Family is the most important thing in the world.”

The 29-year-old actress – who has a 23-month old daughter, Honor Marie, with her husband Cash Warren – always knew she wanted to live a different life from her parents from a young age.

The Girls Aloud beauty – who separated from her soccer player husband Ashley Cole in February following his alleged infidelities – is still a favourite with the men of Britain after winning the top spot for a consecutive year for FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll.

The 26-year-old singer – who is also a judge on UK TV talent show ‘The X Factor’ – beat ‘Transformers’ actress Megan Fox and Victoria’s Secret model Marissa Miller into second and third place respectively.

Colin Kennedy, Editor-in-Chief of FHM claimed the “nation’s sweetheart” was an obvious winner for this year’s poll.

He said: “After hogging the headlines and dominating TV screens for 12 solid months the nation’s sweetheart romped home for a second successive year, leaving all challengers in her curvaceous wake.”

The ‘Fantastic Four’ actress – who gave birth to her first daughter, Honor Marie, with husband Cash Warren in June 2008 – said she is eager to expand her brood and was inspired to adopt after making a TV show where she visited a family who had adopted 13 children but still lived in a small trailer.

Speaking on US show ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’ she said: “My mom grew up around a huge family, and they always wanted more kids, and I was like, ‘Why don’t you just adopt?’

“I’m totally inspired. If you have the love, and the capacity to love children, you should just adopt. And I plan on doing it.”

The ‘Sin City’ actress, husband Cash Warren and 17-month-old daughter Honor Marie spent the American holiday at her parents’ house, with Jessica taking on the main kitchen duties.

She revealed: “I made the turkey this year. My mom just laid it on me – a big 26 pounder. We do it potluck style.”

“Then, when it’s ready, we go around the table and say what we are thankful for. It’s just a Thanksgiving tradition we have at our house that we grabbed onto.

“We are so blessed and it’s important to share what we are thankful for, and not to take things for granted.”
