How To Impress Heidi Range?
by Abbey on Apr.10, 2010, under Artist, Band, Singer
Heidi Range’s fiance cries to impress her.
TV presenter Dave Berry – who proposed to the Sugababes star earlier this year – tries to show his softer side as he knows it’s something the singer likes.
He said: “I’ve tried to cry more since Heidi absolutely fell in love with Tom Hardy who appears in a Kleenex advert. She loves him in that, so I’ve been trying to force myself to cry to get in on that action. All I do is wave my fingers in front of my eyes to calm myself down.”
Although Dave is happily engaged to Heidi, he is also a fan of another girl band singer – Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts.
He told Attitude magazine: “Nicola Roberts is my favourite member of Girls Aloud. No disrespect to her, she was always the ugly ginger one. Now she’s snuck her way into almost becoming a fashion icon.”

Emotional – Heidi Range
by Kavy on Mar.19, 2010, under Band, Marriage, Singer
Heidi Range is terrified she’ll look a “mess” when she gets married.
The Sugababes singer got engaged to long-term beau Dave Berry on New Year’s Eve (31.12.09) and are planning to wed in October 2011, but the ‘Get Sexy’ star is worried she won’t be able to control her emotions on the big day.
She said: “We’re getting married in October next year on our eight-year anniversary. I’ll just get stressed if we plan a summer wedding and it’s not sunny.
“When I walk down the aisle I’ll probably be shaking and crying but I hope I don’t because I don’t want to look a mess!”
Despite her worries, Heidi is bound to look stunning, especially as renowned wedding dress designer Vera Wang has offered to create her dream gown.
She said: “I haven’t tried any dresses yet but when I did a show in Barbados with the Sugababes, Vera Wang’s daughter came up to me and said, ‘My mum was at the concert and she’d love to make you a wedding dress.’ I nearly passed out, I’ve always dreamt of a Vera Wang wedding dress!”

Heidi Range – “can’t wait to marry Dave”
by Alice on Mar.15, 2010, under Artist, Band, Marriage, Music, Singer
Heidi Range can’t wait to get married.
The Sugababes singer – who recently got engaged to British TV presenter Dave Berry – has started planning her nuptials and admits she has never been happier than since she said “yes” to Dave’s proposal.
She said: “I can’t wait to marry Dave, he’s gorgeous, I’m so excited. I know it’s sickly, but I love calling him my fiance.”
Dave, 31, popped the question on New Year’s Eve (31.12.09) while they were on holiday in the Caribbean and 26-year-old Heidi admits she was so overwhelmed she burst into tears.
She said: “He surprised me on New Year’s Eve in Barbados. It was a complete surprise. I was hoping that he might ask me sometime soon but I never thought it’d be on New Year’s Eve. I’m so excited. I was crying and shaking.”
Heidi and Dave are considering a winter wedding but aren’t yet sure where the venue will be.
Last month, she said: “It’ll be next year, I think, a winter wedding.
“I’m obsessed already. All I’ve done is look on the internet at wedding sites.”
Although Heidi is preparing to settle down, her bandmates Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen are on the lookout for their own Mr Rights.
Newest member Jade – who replaced founding member Keisha Buchanan last September – just wants to date a regular guy.
Jade told Company magazine: “If I had a choice, I’d go out with someone normal – like a plumber.”

Heidi Range Bonded With Jade Ewen By “slapping her…”
by Alice on Feb.13, 2010, under Singer

The Sugababes stars came up with a novel way of getting to know each other better when Jade – who previously sang for Britain in the Eurovision Song Contest – joined the girl band in place of founding member Keisha Buchanan.
Jade revealed: “You know what’s funny? The first day we all met, I had Heidi slapping me on the a**e! It was part of the routine for the video for ‘About A Girl’ to slap each other on the bum.
“That’s our favourite move, we do it all the time.”
Heidi quipped: “She’s got a cute bum, look!”
The group have also joked that Jade is placed in between her fellow members – also including Amelle Berrabah – during their dance routines so the girls have easy access to her backside.
Jade said: “Where we stand sometimes depends what we’re wearing. If two are wearing trousers and one is wearing a skirt then the person in the skirt stands in the middle.
“One pat for each cheek.”

The Sugababes Are Happy With Their Present Bandmates
by Alice on Dec.16, 2009, under Artist, Music, Singer

The pop trio – whose only remaining founding member Keisha left in September and was swiftly replaced by Jade Ewen – have had to deal with allegations from fans that Keisha was unfairly ousted, but Heidi says things in the group have never been better since Keisha departed.
The ‘About A Girl’ singer said: “It’s such a difference, we don’t dread coming to work any more! We laugh all the time now.”
Bandmate Amelle Berrabah – who checked into a private clinic in Austria for three weeks in October to be treated for “severe nervous exhaustion” – also insisted she, Heidi and Jade are getting on great and feels the group is much stronger following Keisha’s exit.
She added to Britain’s Star magazine: “Our personalities really gel. It feels so natural and like we’ve all been together a lot longer.
“Jade fits like a glove. She looks great, she sings great and we couldn’t be happier that she’s part of the group.”

Mutya Buena Never Plans To Talk With Heidi Range Again
by Alice on Dec.15, 2009, under Artist, Band, Singer

The ‘Real Girl’ singer has hit out against Heidi insisting she has no plans to make contact with her since Mutya’s fellow founding member Keisha Buchanan was ousted from the group this year.
Mutya – who was in the ever-changing pop trio with Heidi and Keisha from 2001 to 2005 – wrote on twitter: “To all those asking – no I haven’t spoken to Heidi and i (sic) don’t ever plan to.”
Mutya, 24, also claimed she would like to work with original Sugababes members Keisha and Siobhan Donaghy again.
She wrote: “No, the real Sugababes are not reforming but we all respect one another and i (sic) personally hope to work with both Keisha and Siobhan sometime in the future. Love them both and will always treasure my time in the group but we r (sic) all focusing on doing our own thing now.”
Twitter has proved to be a popular medium for the Sugababes to communicate with their fans, with Keisha taking to the micro-blogging site when she was forced out of the band in September.
She wrote at the time: “I’m sad to say that I am no longer a part of the Sugababes, although it was not my choice to leave, it’s time to enter a new chapter in my life.”

It’s A New Feeling For The Sugababes
by cyan on Nov.25, 2009, under Artist, Music, Singer

The ‘About a Girl’ hitmakers feel like a completely different group since their recent line-up change and have enjoyed familiarising themselves with their older records and getting to know new member Jade Ewen
Heidi Range said: “We’ve been rehearsing loads and are enjoying it at last. We feel like a new band learning the songs again.
“I wish we could discuss what we are doing musically more but obviously there’s been so much else to talk about recently and we have to give answers.”
In September, the last remaining original member Keisha Buchanan was ousted from the group and replaced by Jade after relations with Heidi and Amelle Berrabah irrevocably broke down.
Although former Eurovision contestant Jade, 21, joined the Sugababes almost immediately after Keisha left, she admits it has taken her a while to settle into the girl group.
Jade explained to Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “We’re getting to know each other as a band now and I feel I really belong here at last.”
The girls are adamant they are not worried by the rumours the original three Sugababes – Keisha, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy – are to reform.
Heidi said: “There’s room for everyone. We’ve delayed our new album until next year. Hopefully by then we’ll have all moved on and can just talk about music.”

Keisha Buchanan And Her Former Bandmate Mutya Buena Reunited
by Alice on Nov.24, 2009, under Artist, Band, Music, Reunion, Singer

The singer has previously quashed speculation she is set to reunite with the original line-up of the girl group – which also included Siobhan Donaghy – but has now revealed they are trying to set a date to enter the studio together.
She revealed on her Twitter page: “I’ll hopefully be working with mutya on my album! Lets see if i can get her attention 4 3 seconds first lol She’s a busy bee (sic).”
Keisha also spoke about her and Siobhan’s previous differences, insisting they have now resolved their problems.
She wrote: “I think we both agree that we didn’t get on, we were 12 when we met and sometimes we would argue lol. She’s been lovely 2 me.
“In fact, we have met up which was nice. She knows its Bull:-) She hasn’t aged though, lol, she looks great (sic).”
As well reuniting with her one-time bandmates, Keisha has forgiven the remaining Sugababes for kicking her out of the band.
The 25-year-old pop star – who was ousted from the trio in September following a series of rows with Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah – insists she has no hard feelings towards her replacement Jade Ewen or her former friends.
She said: “I’m a very forgiving person. There’s no problem from my camp.”
Despite admitting it wasn’t her decision to leave, Keisha claims she is relieved to be free from the band because her life was under “strict control” for so long.
She explained to Closer magazine: “When I was in the band, everything was under strict control. They decided what I wore, what I said and even how my hair was styled. It was suffocating – being free feels amazing.”

Jade Ewen Wants To Date But Doesn’t Have The Time To Find A Boyfriend
by cyan on Nov.23, 2009, under Artist, Band, Music, Singer

The sexy singer – who recently joined the pop band following the departure of founding member Keisha Buchanan – wants to date but is constantly busy with her hectic work schedule.
She told Britain’s Metro newspaper: “I still haven’t got a boyfriend. You know what is mad? You actually do not have the time. I think it was actually two weeks ago the last time I even saw my mum. You meet people all the time but you never get the chance to really get to know anyone. There are people around and there was someone and I thought, ‘Oh, he’s cute.’ But I haven’t had that chance to explore that avenue.”
The Sugababes – who are also comprised of Amelle Berrabah and Heidi Range – are preparing for the release of their new album ‘Sweet 7’, which is due to come out in March 2010, and have been promoting latest single ‘About a Girl’.
Keisha recently revealed she had forgiven her former bandmates and held no grudge towards Jade.
She said: “I’ve cried so many tears. I’m over the worst. I believe I am stronger for it all. The girls are my friends. I’m certainly concerned about them and wish them only the best.
“There’s no hard feelings with the girls, it’s time to move on.”

Keisha Buchanan Said “I was in that band because I loved it”
by Alice on Nov.19, 2009, under Artist, Band, Music, Singer

The singer – who was replaced in the group in September by Jade Ewen following a series of rows with her bandmates Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah – insists the current line-up are only out for themselves and she doesn’t miss their friendship.
She said: “I’m doing what’s best for me. They did what’s best for them.
“The fact is, I was in Sugababes for 12 years. I was in that band because I loved it, not to elevate myself.
“I did a lot of stuff behind the scenes for the band that people don’t know about. I was always the one working hard.”
The 25-year-old star also denied reports she is planning to reunite with fellow original Sugababes Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy, insisting she is happy to be a solo artist.
She added to Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “You’ve got to move on and I’ve got Mutya and Siobhan supporting me now.
“I didn’t have any plans to go solo. It was all really sudden so it’s taken me a while to adjust. I love just being in the studio.
“I haven’t got a release date just yet, but I think it’s really important that I get it just right.”

Amelle Berrabah Feels “cleansed” After Stay In An Austrian clinic
by Kavy on Nov.13, 2009, under Artist, Band, Music, Singer

The Sugababes singer – who was admitted to a centre last month after the pressures of the band’s recent line-up change took their toll – is feeling great after her three-week stay in an Austrian clinic, which she says was to help with her confidence problems.
She said: “I’m really good. I’m happy happy! Haha! I heard I went to some depression clinic. It wasn’t a clinic. It’s a place in Austria where you cleanse your mind, body and spirit. You can walk around in your dressing gown day and night, you don’t have to wear make-up, no one’s judging you. I spoke to a life coach and sorted myself out a little bit.”
The 25-year-old beauty began to feel out of sorts after the constant criticism became too “cut-throat” for her to handle.
She explained Britain’s Times newspaper: “I needed to get my confidence back. It can be very cut-throat, you need a thick skin. People criticise you a lot, dissect you bit by bit, your looks, your vocals, your skin, what you’re wearing!”
The Sugababes recently altered their line-up, with Jade Ewen joining Amelle and Heidi Range following the departure of Keisha Buchanan – the final remaining original member of the trio – amid allegations she had bullied Amelle.
Amelle admits her treatment has caused her to reassess how she lets others treat her.
She explained: “If I could turn back time, I would have made it clear not to speak to me in certain ways or treat me in certain ways. I would have put a stop to that a long time ago.
“But I’m grateful to Heidi and Jade for understanding, and grateful to the label. Three weeks is a b***dy long time, especially in this industry.”

Jade Ewen Is Afraid Of Keisha Buchanan
by cyan on Nov.05, 2009, under Artist, Music, Singer
The 21-year-old beauty – who replaced Keisha in pop trio Sugababes in September – has spoken out about her fears of having a nasty confrontation with the ejected singer.
She said: “I haven’t met her yet. I’m quite scared. I’m sure she wouldn’t do anything to me…”
Keisha had been the last remaining original member of the group before she was ousted from the band in September after months of bitter feuding with bandmates Amelle Berrabah and Heidi Range.
Despite never meeting Keisha, Jade admits replacing her in the successful girl band has been distressing.
She explained: “One of the things I struggled with was being accused of being her friend beforehand and stabbing her in the back – but I’ve never met her in my life!
“Weirdly, she sent me a friend request on social networking website Facebook a couple of weeks before this all happened. I was like, ‘Why would Keisha from the Sugababes add me?’ I sent her a message to say hi and I never got anything back. Maybe it was a sign!”
Jade – who previously represented Britain in the Eurovision Song Contest – also revealed she came close to missing out on her place in the group when her fellow singers almost had a last-minute change of heart.
She explained to Britain’s Evening Standard newspaper: “I can remember getting ready to get on the plane and the girls changed their mind and said they were going to do whatever it took to make it work with Keisha. I was really upset but I kept my suitcase with me just in case they changed their minds!”

Keisha Buchanan Forgive’s The Sugababes And Her Ex-Bandmates
by cyan on Oct.29, 2009, under Artist, Band, Singer

The singer – who was ousted from the girl band last month after months of bitter feuds – insists she holds “no hard feelings” towards her former bandmates Amelle Berrabah and Heidi Range, or new member Jade Ewen.
Keisha, 25, said: “I’ve cried so many tears. I’m over the worst. I believe I am stronger for it all. The girls are my friends. I’m certainly concerned about them and wish them only the best.
“There’s no hard feelings with the girls, it’s time to move on. I don’t want to cry anymore. We all couldn’t work together anymore – we weren’t happy, me and Heidi. I was depressed. You shouldn’t have to go to work treading on eggshells.”
Keisha has been supported since leaving the group by her former bandmate Mutya Buena, who exited the band and was replaced by Amelle in December 2005.
However, the ‘Overload’ singer was quick to deny speculation she, Mutya and third founding Sugababes star Siobhan Donaghy – who was replaced by Heidi in 2001 – are set to work together again.
She said: “Mutya’s been very supportive. It’s been good tot talk with her and have so many friends look out for me.
“We’re not forming another band, that is out of the question. But we are friends of course.”
Instead, Keisha is now focusing on her upcoming solo album, which she is planning to release in 2010.
She added to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “I’m doing fine – I’ve been focusing on my solo project and my new look. I’ve been to Paris Fashion Week and I had the best time.
“I’m really excited about 2010. I’m in the studio working out my new sound – and I’m finally OK with things. I have learned to smile again.”
British R‘n’B star Taio Cruz recently offered to help Keisha conquer the pop charts on her own.
The ‘Break Your Heart’ singer – who recently collaborated with Cheryl Cole – said: “I would absolutely work with Keisha if she wanted me to. She can be sure that I will help her out.”
