Is Madonna Planning 2 Move Back 2 Britain?
by Abbey on Jul.26, 2010, under Artist, Singer
Madonna is reportedly planning to move back to Britain.
The singer – who relocated from London to New York following her divorce from film director Guy Ritchie in 2008 – is currently in London directing her new movie ‘W.E.’, about late British monarch King Edward VIII’s decision to abdicate the throne for his American divorcee lover Wallis Simpson.
Despite originally planning to only stay for the six-month shoot, Madonna has rediscovered her love for the UK capital and told ex- husband Guy she wants to move back to Britain for good.
An insider told the Daily Star newspaper: “Guy says she talks about their home in Wiltshire, the kids and their friends in London. She seems nostalgic for her old life. She had built up a big circle of friends and fell in love with London. She’ll always love New York but she feels more at ease in London.”
Madonna – who has four children, Lourdes, 13, Rocco, nine, Mercy, five, and four-year-old David – is believed to be keen to move back to Britain so she can reconnect with her old friends.
The source explained: “The person she spends most time with is her daughter Lourdes but she is desperate for more adult company.”
Madonna, 51, previously said she fell out of love with the UK because she couldn’t stand being referred to as ‘Madge’, her British nickname.
She said: “That’s one of the reasons I left England – so I don’t have to hear the word ‘Madge‘ anymore. Some people say ‘Madge’ is a colloquialism for a boring middle-aged housewife. And other people say it’s short for Majesty.”

Dr. Watson – Didn’t Know Anything About Sherlock Holmes
by Alice on Jan.05, 2010, under Actor
The actor plays the fictional English detective’s sidekick Dr. Watson in the new film of the same name but confesses he was unaware of the literary character created by Arthur Conan Doyle before agreeing to the role.
He said: “Yes, I’m English, but I never really read the ‘Sherlock’ books as a boy. This was a new literary discovery for me, but a great one because as an adult I was able to sit down and love the source material. Believe me when I say it’s a good thing to grab a mug of tea and curl up with a great ‘Sherlock Holmes’ book.”
As well as being impressed with the books, Jude was also blown away by how the film’s director Guy Ritchie and the production team were able to recreate 19th Century England.
The 37-year-old star said: “The production designers did an amazing job embellishing historic England. The details were exquisite. I really felt as I had taken a time travel back into history.”
Jude stars in the action blockbuster alongside Robert Downey Jr. – who plays the titular detective.

Dr.Watson’s Horrible Experiences On ‘Sherlock Holmes’ Costumes
by Alice on Dec.22, 2009, under Actor
The British actor – who portrays the title character’s sidekick Watson in the Guy Ritchie blockbuster – was left uncomfortable and hungry while wearing the old-fashioned attire because the restricting collar meant it was difficult for him to swallow his lunch.
He explained: “I had to wear this terribly stiff, tight collar as part of my costume which was just horrible. On the first day I actually tried staying in character and wearing it to lunch. It was like trying to swallow sushi with a razor blade around my neck!”
The ‘Alfie’ star recently admitted he thought he was “insane” to sign up to the movie.
He only agreed to the part when he heard Robert Downey Jr. would be portraying the famous fictional detective.
He said: “I met Robert Downey Jr. and wanted to work with him and so I said I’d do ‘Sherlock Holmes’. Two days later I thought, ‘What am I doing? This is insane because is it really what I want to do?’
“Luckily, it evolved into a wonderful experience.”

Guy Ritchie Has No Regret For Making ‘Swept Away’ With Madonna
by Kavy on Dec.21, 2009, under Director
The 41-year-old British director – whose 2002 movie ‘Swept Away’ starring his ex-wife Madonna, 51, flopped at the cinema and went straight to DVD in the UK – said he wasn’t upset by the critics, because you have to do some things wrong in order to know what works.
He said: “’Swept Away’ was always going to have a limited audience. The idea was that it was going to be a small film… but you can’t do small films with the ex.”
The romantic comedy was a disaster at the box office, just like his 2005 film ‘Revolver’ which starred Jason Stratham, but Guy said he doesn’t take too much criticism on board, and in fact, ‘Revolver’ was still his favourite movie.
He said: “I think on reflection it always will be. Celebrity culture can only be capricious and ephemeral, sometimes you are in synch with what everybody wants, sometimes you are not.”
Speaking to The Sunday Times newspaper, Guy said one of the best things about making his newest film, ‘Sherlock Holmes’ – starring Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr. – was the huge £80 million budget he was given.
He said: “It was good having deep pockets, I never had deep pockets before.”

Jude Law: No Regrets For His Past
by Alice on Dec.19, 2009, under Actor
The 36-year-old actor – who has four children, including a two-month-old daughter Sophia from a brief fling with model Samantha Burke – doesn’t want to look back over the years and wish he had done something different with his life.
He said: “I don’t want to get to an age where I look back and say, ‘Oh, I never did that.’ ”
Jude portrays Dr. Watson – the sidekick of fictional detective Sherlock Holmes, who is played by Robert Downey Jr. – in Guy Ritchie’s big screen reimagining of the Arthur Conan Doyle character.
The actor initially had doubts about starring in ‘Sherlock Holmes’, but because of his new mantra, he was desperate not to miss out on working with such a highly-regarded actor.
He said: “That was in my mind when I met Robert for the first time. I wanted to work with him, so I said I’d do ‘Sherlock Holmes’. Then, of course, two days later I thought, ‘What am I doing? I’m going to play Dr. Watson and this is insane because is it really what I want to do?
“Luckily it evolved into a wonderful experience.”
Jude also used the role to dispel previous beliefs his character was “bumbling and stupid”.
He explained to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “One of the dynamics missing from the earlier film interpretations was a more accurate representation of Watson.
“There’s no mention in Conan Doyle’s stories of him being bumbling and stupid. That came about in the earlier movies because actor Basil Rathbone wanted a comic actor to play opposite him so that he looked more important and more serious in comparison. I rather liked the opportunity of bringing back some of the more accurate and edgy qualities.”

Robert Downey Jr. Can Be Prone To “aggressive outbursts”
by cyan on Dec.17, 2009, under Actor
The actor admits he can be prone to “aggressive outbursts” when shooting a film, which happen because he has to use up all his creative energy before he goes home.
Robert – who stars in Guy Ritchie’s new movie ‘Sherlock Holmes’ as the famous fictional detective of the film’s name – said: “If it comes to aggressive outbursts regarding creative particulars, I’m a monster! I don’t mean like I act badly or make people feel s***ty or anything, but I get really wedged up.
“It’s all I’ve got in the day, until I get home to my actual life at home. It’s all I’ve got.”
Robert, 44, also revealed his 15-year-old son Indio wrongly thinks his grandfather – the actor’s director father, Robert Downey Sr. – is a hippy.
The ‘Iron Man 2’ star added to Shortlist magazine: “There was this book that came out called ‘The Film Snob’s Guide To Hollywood’ or something, and they call him, ‘hippy film director Robert Downey Sr. Father of,’ and my kid thinks he’s a hippy. I know I wasn’t.
“I had my f***ing hair spiked up, snorting coke and was f***ing driving a Porsche. The last thing I was, was a hippy. But my kid thinks he is.
“He was the original and I would not be doing all this if not for him. He had this time when he innovated and was a real auteur, a maverick guy.”

Rachel McAdams Appreciates Lindsay Lohan’s Natural Acting
by Alice on Dec.16, 2009, under Actress

The 31-year-old actress – who starred alongside Lindsay in 2004 movie ‘Mean Girls’ – said she was surprised by how well the then-17-year-old star took direction on board, but admitted Lindsay loved to go out all the time.
She said: “I just remember marvelling about how much she knew as an actor, how much she understood.
“She did very few takes and had this naturalness to her. And beyond that, I was 26 at the time. I’d be asked, ‘Where do you go out?’ ”
Rachel – who plays the role of Irene Adler alongside Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law in Guy Ritchie’s new movie ‘Sherlock Holmes’ – also said she wasn’t into the showy side of the celebrity lifestyle and is making an effort to be more eco-conscious.
She added to America’s Vogue magazine: “I don’t really desire things. I prefer to spend my money on experiences, on meals or travel. I look at the world through a green lens now, but you can’t make yourself crazy.
“That feeling of green guilt can be really inhibiting. It’s about a changing mind-set, remembering to turn off the water when you are brushing your teeth.”

Guy Ritchie Is More Than Happy To Spend Christmas Day With His Children
by Alice on Dec.16, 2009, under Children, Director

The ‘Sherlock Holmes’ director – who has nine-year-old son Rocco and adopted Malawian son David Banda with ‘Celebration’ singer Madonna – is going all out to make the day “traditional” and special for the youngsters after his ex-wife gave permission for them to spend the day at his home.
A source said: “Guy is really pleased, and cannot quite believe he and Madonna came to such an amicable arrangement. He is a huge fan of Christmas and wants to do everything by the book, very traditionally.”
The British filmmaker is so determined to make the day memorable, he has promised to rustle up a delicious roast turkey lunch with all the trimmings and “spoilt them rotten”.
The source explained to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “This means stockings hanging from under the kids’ beds, presents under the tree and a massive turkey, Brussels sprouts, chestnuts, the works.
“When Guy and Madonna were together they didn’t really celebrate Christmas Day due to Madonna’s staunch Kabbalah beliefs. Now that he’s a single man, Guy is determined to spoil them rotten and give the youngsters a Christmas they’ll never forget.”
Madonna – who also has daughter Lourdes, 13, and four-year-old adopted daughter Mercy – and Guy announced they were to divorce in October 2008 after almost eight years of marriage.
It is not clear whether the girls will also be invited to Guy’s Christmas bash.
Guy’s attitude to Christmas is very different to when he was married to the ‘Holiday’ hitmaker.
In 2007 he revealed that the family didn’t give each other gifts.
He said at the time: “We cancelled Christmas a few years ago. Stopped all the presents. And ever since we stopped the presents, we’re actually enjoying it.”

Jude Law Says “I’m in love”
by Alice on Dec.15, 2009, under Actor

The actor brushed off reports he has reconciled with ex-girlfriend Sienna Miller by insisting he only has eyes for his ‘Sherlock Holmes’ co-star.
Speaking at the ‘Sherlock Holmes’ premiere in London’s Leicester Square last night (14.12.09), Jude pointed at Robert and said: “The only person I’m in love with is sitting on my left. I am here on a night out with the boys.
“The flirting started the minute we met. It was based on mutual respect and admiration.”
Meanwhile, director Guy Ritchie spoke about why he chose to cast Jude, who plays the role of sidekick Watson to Downey Jr’s Holmes.
He said: “We’ve coined the phrase Hotson. I wanted a good-looking Watson.”
Despite his pin-up status on set, Guy insisted that Jude was a calming influence on him and Robert.
He said: “He was the father to two wayward sons.”
Among the celebrities in attendance on the red carpet were stars of the film Rachel McAdams and Kelly Reilly, as well as Princes William and Harry and singer Gwen Stefani.
It has previously been claimed that Jude – who recently became a father for the fourth time following a brief fling with model Samantha Burke – and Sienna are planning to move in together again after rekindling their romance while starring in Broadway plays in New York.

Madonna’s Childrens – Following Her Footsteps
by Alice on Dec.10, 2009, under Artist, Children, Music, Singer, Son

The ‘4 Minutes’ singer says her adopted tot David, four, is her biggest fan and is fascinated by the outfits she wears in her pop promos and on stage.
She said: “He knows every song, every word, every step, and he wants to wear all the costumes. He likes my dress that I wear in ‘La Isla Bonita’.”
Madonna, 51, also revealed her other children are showing signs of following in her footsteps and she was particularly impressed with her eight-year-old son Rocco – whose father is her ex-husband Guy Ritchie – joining her on stage at her ‘Sticky and Sweet’ world tour because he is usually so introverted.
She added: “When he jumped on stage to dance in my last show I was shocked actually and secretly, unbeknownst to me, they’re all studying privately with my dancers.
“Rocco comes out and busts out like a moonwalk or, you know, some kind of break dancing move and I’ll ask him, ‘Where did you get that?’ He’s always been quite shy so I was shocked when he wanted to be in the show.”
The singer’s 13-year-old daughter Lourdes also joined her mother on stage and astonished the ‘Celebration’ star with her professionalism.
She told ‘GMTV’: “I really thought of her in a very professional way, and I didn’t want to distract her.
“I checked her out a few times in the show and she looked so chilled out and laid back and nonplussed by the whole thing, that I was like, ‘OK. I’m not worried about her!’ ”
Despite her worldwide fame, Madonna – who also has an adopted daughter, Mercy, four – insists the children cope well with the attention surrounding her and them and manage to stay grounded.
She added: “They get great bonuses and perks out of being my children and they know it, and they’re very grateful and appreciative for it.
“I think they are pretty balanced in terms of how they view fame or celebrity or things like that. I think it took them a while to adjust, but I think they’re OK about it.”

Madonna: Thinking Of Adopting Another Disadvantaged Youngster
by Alice on Dec.08, 2009, under Artist, Music, Singer

The ‘4 Minutes’ singer – who raises biological children Lourdes and Rocco and adopted David and Mercy – hasn’t ruled out expanding her family further by taking on the care of another disadvantaged youngster.
Asked if she would adopt again, she said: “Never say never.”
The 51-year-old star also spoke about her charity work with her Raising Malawi foundation, saying it makes her feel complete.
She said: “I’m really proud of the work that I’m doing in Africa. I feel a tremendous sense of accomplishment in terms of my career and the work that I have done.
“I have four children now and I’d like to think I’m a good mother. I feel a great sense of satisfaction in all areas of my life.”
Madonna moved back to New York from London after divorcing her husband, director Guy Ritchie, last year, and admits she misses some aspects of her life in the UK.
She said: “I miss being able to walk around the neighbourhood. It’s more mellow, laid back and relaxed in London than it is in Manhattan.”

Robert Downey Jr. Got In Shape Because He Contracted A Parasite
by cyan on Dec.03, 2009, under Actor

The 44-year-old actor has had to get fit for his action-packed roles in ‘Iron Man 2’ and ‘Sherlock Holmes’ and although he has been exercising regularly an illness he picked up in Japan kick-started his weight loss.
He is quoted as saying : “I was in Japan promoting ‘Iron Man’, and I went to a restaurant where I contracted a parasite and got really sick for three days.
“I started losing weight and thought to myself, ‘Hey this is a nice jump-start!’ It just gave me a nice little head-start with the first five pounds and then I kept going until I was thin, I felt as though I may float away.”
Robert insists it’s important for him to be in prime condition for the roles because he has been asking the directors of both movies – Guy Ritchie on ‘Sherlock Holmes’ and Jon Favreau who is helming ‘Iron Man 2’ – to increase his stunt duties.
He said: “The action’s certainly got bigger on ‘Iron Man 2’ that’s because I went to do ‘Sherlock Holmes’, which was a real adventure.
“So coming back to ‘Iron Man 2’ I really challenged our stunt team to get our hands a little more dirty because I was still kind of into that… I love it so much.
“There is no better day that I can have than one where I beat people up or get thrown around. I just love it.”

Madonna And David Beckham’s Sons Are Forecast To Become The Richest Celebrities In Uk
by Alice on Nov.22, 2009, under Children, Son

Youngsters Rocco Ritchie, nine, and Cruz Beckham, four, are tipped to have the most earning power in a new report which assessed the estimated worth of today’s celebrity children in 20 years time.
Rocco, son of the ‘Celebration’ singer and film director Guy Ritchie, topped the four categories in the report – star quality, likely inheritance, talent and love of the camera – getting ratings of ten out of ten for each.
The report also estimated Rocco to be worth £376 million before he reaches 30.
Celebrity expert Mark Frith said: “Rocco will earn a fortune from his mother and a fair bit from dad. But it’s the other three rankings that power him to the number one place.”
Cruz – whose mother is former Spice Girl turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham – beat siblings Romeo, seven, and Brooklyn, ten, to second place in the list.
Both Rocco and Cruz scored highly because they have been spotted dancing at their mother’s concerts.
None of Rocco’s other siblings – sister Lourdes and adopted brother and sister David and Mercy – featured on the list.
British royals, Princes William and Harry, came ninth and tenth on the list – compiled by Cartoon Network – with estimated fortunes of just under £200 million each, but were both embarrassingly awarded zero out of ten for showbiz talent.

Rachel McAdams Had To Rely On Yoga Exercises To Fit Into Her ‘Sherlock Holmes’ Outfit
by Alice on Nov.20, 2009, under Actress

The actress had to wear a lot of tight-fitting corsets for her role as Irene Adler in Guy Ritchie’s new movie about the British fictional detective and admits it was a struggle to get them on.
She said: “I wasn’t allowed to take that corset off! I had to rely on yoga exercises! Don’t get me wrong, I’m such a girly girl, I was in heaven being dressed in these incredible costumes. But it was like something out of ’Gone With The Wind’. I’m holding onto the trailer door trying to eek out just a little bit of space so that I can speak properly. Each morning, they tried to make me laugh and on the laugh they’d yank – that’s how they managed to squeeze me in every day.”
Rachel also joked she was so desperate to be in the film, she had to beg Guy for her part.
She quipped to Total Film magazine: “I hunted Guy down and camped on his doorstep until he relented! OK, no, we had a chat in a garden and it went from there… Fortunately, it worked out for me.”

Madonna’s Lover Jesus Luz Stays At Home On Her Recent Visit To Africa
by Kavy on Nov.16, 2009, under Artist, Singer

The 51-year-old singer banned the 23-year-old Brazilian model from accompanying her on the trip because she was reportedly worried their age gap would upset her African hosts.
But Jesus was devastated at the snub and had wanted to be seen by her side as she oversaw work on her academy for girls in the poverty-stricken country start.
A source told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “Their difference in age could have embarrased some people there.”
Jesus – who has been dating the mother-of-four since last year – has been desperate for their relationship to be “taken seriously” and last week introduced the pop star to his mother.
Devoted Madonna flew out to Brazil to meet Jesus Luz’s 36-year-old mother Cristiane Regina da Silva at a hotel where the two women reportedly sat chatting for several hours.
After the successful meeting, the lovebirds – who have since been spotted at a string of top restaurants in Rio de Janiero – are now expected to get engaged.
The couple had reportedly rowed after Madonna – who has children Lourdes, 12, Rocco, nine, and adopted David and Mercy, both four – said she would rather be “run over by a train” than marry again following her split from movie director Guy Ritchie.
But according to the twice-married singer’s biographer Randy Taraborrelli, she has already had a change of heart.
He said: “Madonna is telling close friends and family that, ‘I definitely see myself marrying him. It’s on the table.’ ”

The ‘Celebration’ singer is set to fly to Brazil to meet her 23-year-old boyfriend Jesus Luz’s mother Cristiane Regina da Silva and his father Luis Heitor Pinto da Luz, sparking rumours the celebrity couple are about to get engaged.
A friend of model Jesus said: “She is slightly on edge. But an engagement could be on the cards.”
Jesus – who has been dating the pop star since late last year – is desperate to be “taken seriously”, get married and secure their relationship.
The pal added: “Madonna really does love and need Jesus – and she does not hold all the power in their relationship. He grew up with strong Christian beliefs.
“He wants to marry and be taken seriously. She doesn’t want to lose Jesus and so the visit to his parents is her way of saying she will make this relationship permanent.
“He wants proof of commitment and he wants her to make an honest man of him.”
The meetings proves the pair have put their recent disagreement behind them.
The couple reportedly rowed after Madonna – who has children Lourdes, 12, Rocco, nine, David Banda and Mercy, both four – said she would rather be “run over by a train” than marry again following her split from movie director Guy Ritchie, with the model begging his 51-year-old love to rethink her vow.
According to the singer’s biographer Randy Taraborrelli, she has already had a change of heart.
He said: “Madonna is telling close friends and family that ‘I definitely see myself marrying him. It’s on the table’.”
If the nuptials go ahead, this will be Madonna’s third wedding. She was also wed to actor Sean Penn between 1985 and 1989.
