Taylor Momsen wants a boyfriend

The Pretty Reckless singer – who played Jenny Humphrey in TV drama series ‘Gossip Girl’ - is currently focused on her music career but admits she would like to settle down in future.

When asked if she is looking for love, she told BANG Showbiz: “Do I have time to meet guys? Well, at the moment not particularly, I don’t have a boyfriend right now.

“I love what I’m doing and I’m really proud of the record and excited about the tour, which is all positive. But, you know, I’m a girl. It’s not a priority for me but I’m a chick and every girl wants a guy. There’s no-one off the top of my head who takes my fancy though.”

The 17-year-old star – who debut LP, ‘Light Me Up’, is out now – also admitted travelling the world with her band has not been as fun or glamorous as she initially expected it to be.

She explained: “The thing people don’t understand is that touring or travelling or whatever you do in my position means you go to all these cool places all over the world but you see everything from a car window. You don’t get to see much of the city or meet people at all. It’s different to how I would have thought it would be. It’s not just about the parties.”

Compiled by the Los Angeles Times Magazine, the Oscar-winning actress landed the number five spot thanks to her role as a Bond girl in ‘Die Another Day‘, closely followed by new mother Penelope Cruz – who gave birth to her first child with Javier Bardem last month – in 11th place.

With the likes of Jennifer Connelly, Kim Basinger and Anne Hathaway all making the top 20, the trio were joined by Hollywood legends Farrah Fawcett, Ava Gardner and Faye Dunaway, while Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe were voted in at number 22 and 32 respectively.

‘Gossip Girl‘ actress Blake Lively was the youngest star on the list at the age of 23, while Oscar-nominated ‘Black Swan’ star Natalie Portman, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ beauty Freida Pinto and Julia Roberts also made the top 50.

Leighton Meester is reportedly dating her ‘Country Strong’ co-star Garret Hedlund

The ‘Gossip Girl’ actress and the hunky actor co-presented an award at the Golden Globes on Sunday night (16.01.11) and sources claim they were inseparable at HBO’s after-party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where the ceremony had also been held earlier in the evening.

An onlooker told E! Online: “They were making googly eyes at each other all night, it was adorable. They were hanging out by the bar laughing and talking very close for a long time. He had his hand on her back and she was just looking up at him, smiling ear-to-ear as he was leaning down and whispering something to her.

“At one point they turned around and snuck a kiss. But as the night went on they didn’t exactly hide their affection for each other. They were all over each other! They seemed really happy.”

Leighton recently revealed she thinks being in love is “wonderful” as she enjoys having someone to share her life with.

The 24-year-old beauty said: “It’s wonderful to be in love. And it’s definitely wonderful to cuddle and have sex and get to experience life with somebody. But it’s OK if you don’t find him and you’re 24. You can find it someday.”

Taylor Momsen has apologised to her parents for claiming they ruined her childhood

The 17-year-old Pretty Reckless singer has previously said she appeared “miserable” because her parents forced her to work constantly since she was two years old but after they were hurt by her comments she has begun to backtrack.

She told Kerrang: “I love my mom and dad. Maybe I didn’t have the childhood people think you should have, but I still went through the ages. I was still a child. Maybe it wasn’t a conventional one, but you know… I like where I am now, so it’s OK. I think my parents have learned by this point that none of [what they read] is probably true, and words can be put in your mouth.”

The controversial ‘Gossip Girl’ star also admitted she finds fame difficult to deal with, comparing it to high school but on a much larger scale.

She said: “If you think about it like high school or college then you’ve got your circle of friends – my band [guitarist Ben Phillips, bassist Mark Damon and drummer Jamie Perkins] are my friends – then outside of that there’s going to be people that don’t like you, there’s going to be people that talk about you, and there’s going to be people that go ‘Wow! Look how big her shoes are!’ no matter where you are.

“This is just high school on a massive, massive scale. So I ignore what people say and focus on my music and doing what I do.”

Leighton Meester has “one per cent” in common with her ‘Gossip Girl’ character.

The fashionable actress has portrayed New York socialite Blair Waldorf in the US TV comedy drama series since 2007 but doesn’t believe she has many similarities to her because she is “incredibly manipulative and conniving.”

Leighton – who plans to leave ‘Gossip Girl’ in two years – said: “I work on a show where I feel literally, maybe one per cent in common with the character.

“You have to somehow find common ground; otherwise you hate them. The character I play on ‘Gossip Girl’ is incredibly manipulative and conniving and, you know, this heightened personality in this weird universe that doesn’t even really exist.”

The 24-year-old beauty also finds it hard to see how people try and imitate Blair because she has too many clothes to copy.

Asked why the show has spawned “wannabes” of her character, she told PopEater: “I don’t see why. It seems like it would be really difficult, even just the clothes, the different bag every day.”

Leighton recently revealed she used to skip classes in school in favour of smoking marijuana.

She said: “It’s funny that I’m now getting to live through what school should have been glamorous and full of parties. But I didn’t do any of that stuff. I hated school.

“I’d do anything but be in school, so I’d skip class. I wasn’t dating around, but we’d smoke pot.”

Taylor Momsen feels like a “product”.

The 17-year-old singer-and-actress – who appeared in her first commercial when she was just three years old – believes she has learned more about herself and her career as she has got older.

She said: “You get more insight as you get older, on everything.

“I kind of woke up one morning and was like, ‘Oh I see what’s happening, I get everything.’

“I woke up and was like, ‘I get it, I’m a product.’ “

The Pretty Reckless singer – who achieved widespread fame aged 14 after starring in US drama series ‘Gossip Girl’ – wasn’t prepared for fame but insists she doesn’t worry about living her life in the spotlight or what other people think of her.

She added: “Fame just kind of happens overnight. No one prepares you for it. On ‘Gossip Girl’, I was just going to work, doing what I’ve always done, and then all of a sudden you’re like, ‘Woah!’

“But you get used to it. You ignore it – because whatever people say about me doesn’t bother me at all. If you’re in high school or college or at work, someone’s not going to like you. It’s inevitable. But it doesn’t mean anything.”

The 24-year-old actress – who is rumoured to be dating actor Ryan Gosling – enjoys having someone to share her life with but accepts that finding the perfect person may take some time.

She said: “It’s wonderful to be in love. And it’s definitely wonderful to cuddle and have sex and get to experience life with somebody. But it’s OK if you don’t find him and you’re 24. You can find it someday.”

Leighton is best known for portraying Blair Waldorf in ‘Gossip Girl’ and she says she relates to the tempestuous relationship her character has with on-screen love interest Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick).

She explained: “I can really relate to it – not necessarily because it’s this dramatic, tumultuous relationship, but because the way they love each other is very real, and not for the sake of being dramatic. It’s actual love. There’s nobody for each other but them.”

The ‘Country Strong’ star also spoke about her former wild partying ways, but insists she would never take illegal drugs.

She told the January 2011 edition of Allure magazine: “We had craaaazy parties, we had DJ’s, bands, a fire twirler. One of my roommates burned off her bangs (fringe) on the stove trying to light a cigarette. I mean, drinking is one thing – overdrinking is another. And drugs are something that I do not tolerate at all. You’d be surprised how many people do it. If you go out and you’re living the nightlife scene, that’s what people do.”

‘Twilight’ leads nominations for this year’s People’s Choice Awards.

The vampire movie franchise’s third instalment ‘Eclipse‘ dominated the award’s movie categories when they were announced yesterday (09.12.20) with eight nods including Favourite Movie, Favourite Movie Actor for stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner and Favourite Movie Actress for Kristen Stewart, among others.

The awards also honour Music and Television stars, and the nominations saw Eminem and Usher included in the Favourite Male Artist category, while Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift are all in the running for Favourite Female Artist.

Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber are both nominated for Favourite Breakout Artist, alongside B.o.B.,

Kesha and Selena Gomez and the Scene.

Upon hearing of her nomination, Selena tweeted: “Oh my gosh!!!! I am so excited you guys nominated me and The Scene for this year’s People’s Choice Award! (sic)”

TV show ‘Glee’ picks up a nomination in the Favourite TV Comedy category alongside ‘How I Met Your Mother’, ‘Modern Family’ and ‘Two and a Half Men’.

Winners of the People’s Choice Awards 2011 will be revealed during a live broadcast from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on January 5 next year.

‘Gossip Girl’ Dad’s New Love

“Gossip Girl” star Matthew Settle’s divorce from actress-model Naama Nativ took an emotional toll on the actor—“It’s tough,” he said in April, of the February split — but those feelings are a thing of the past, as he now settles into a new relationship, with fashionista Leyla Vassighy, and TooFab’s got the exclusive details about their lovey-dovey courtship!

“He’s been so happy, since he’s been with her,” the source tells TooFab of the couple, who’ve managed to fly under the radar of gossip hounds, despite stepping out together since July. “They met through a friend a while ago, but they were friends first. They’re super cute together, and are very lovey-dovey.” And even though Settle turned 41 last month, and Vassighy is in her twenties, the age difference means nothing to them, adds the source.

As for Vassighy, who works for fashion designer Brunello Cucinelli in New York, “She’s a lot cooler than his ex,” says the source. “She’s a real down-to-earth girl, and he’s a real down-to-earth guy. They’re both New Yorkers, and like to go out on the town together, to parties, clubs and restaurants.”

Chace Crawford is looking for a girl who “touches him”.

The ‘Gossip Girl’ star – who is rumoured to have just begun dating newly single Kelly Osbourne – wants to be with a girl who he can feel a close connection to.

However, Chace says he rarely gets a chance to meet women with engaging personalities.

He said: “I want a girl who touches me on the inside. I hardly meet any of that kind though. That is the reason I haven’t had a girlfriend for a while.”

And the 25-year-old heartthrob isn’t interested in having casual flings with lots of different women, unlike his ‘Gossip Girl’ character Nate Archibald.

He said: “Sex is not that important to me.”

Chace also revealed he likes to get his friends round to his home in New York and create a storm in the kitchen and cook for them.

He told Germany’s In Touch magazine: “My New York apartment has a great deck, a great place to hang out. I love cooking meals for all of them.”

Earlier this week, it was revealed Chace and Kelly – who recently separated from model Luke Worrall – had been on a number of dates but want to keep their fledgling relationship private.

The ‘Twilight Saga’ dominated the Teen Choice Awards last night (08.08.10) picking up an incredible haul of 11 prizes.

The vampire romance franchise won a total of 11 prizes at the ceremony, which was held at Los Angeles’ Gibson Amphitheater, including Choice Movie: Liplock for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s kiss in ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ and Choice Movie: Chemistry.

Taylor Lautner – who plays werewolf Jacob Black in the films – picked up the Choice Fantasy: Movie Actor and Choice Male: Hottie gongs, while co-stars Robert and Kristen won the Choice Summer Movie Star: Male and Choice Summer Movie Star: Female accolades respectively.

‘Twilight’ was not the only vampire drama to dominate the event, which was hosted by ‘California Gurls’ singer Katy Perry – who underwent several costume changes throughout the night appearing at one point as a prom queen.

Hit series ‘The Vampire Diaries’ scooped seven awards in the television category, including Choice TV Show: Fantasy/Sci-Fi, while the show’s leading couple Paul Wesley and Nina Dobrev won the Choice Actor and Choice Actress statuettes in the TV Fantasy/Sci-Fi category.

Sandra Bullock won the Choice Movie Actress: Drama award for her performance in ‘The Blind Side’, the role which also won her the Best Actress Oscar.

Kourtney, Khloe and Kim Kardashian were also on hand to accept the Choice TV: Reality Show accolade for their series ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’.

Kim tweeted after the event: “So much fun at the Teen Choice Awards tonight! I told Megan Fox she is the most gorgeous woman alive. (sic)”

‘Gossip Girl’ Mom Free to XOXO Anyone She Wants

Kelly Rutherford from “Gossip Girl” can kiss her epic divorce battle goodbye — because TMZ has learned her split with hubby Daniel Giersch is 100% official.

According to documents filed last week in L.A. County Superior Court, Kelly — who was pregnant when she filed for divorce in December of last year — was officially deemed a free woman as of June 6.

Taylor Momsen hates being compared to “Miley f***ing Cyrus”.

The ‘Gossip Girl’ star is now fronting her own band The Pretty Reckless and admits it makes her mad when people say she is the new Miley just because she acts and sings and is a teenager.

Taylor, 16, fumed: “I’m not looking to be Miley f***ing Cyrus. I don’t care about the fame. I do it because I love music. I like making records and if people like them, then we’ll go along for the ride.”

Although the blonde star wants to avoid comparisons with Miley, 17, she insists she doesn’t have a problem with her personally, just the Disney show ‘Hannah Montana’ that catapulted her to fame.

She added to this month’s UK issue of FHM magazine: “I’m not dissing Miley personally. However, I do think the Disney bubblegum s**t that the world is living right now is pathetic. I thought we passed that repression. I don’t know Miley, but musically we’re different. To compare us because of our age is silly.”

Taylor – who writes all her own songs and plays guitar – believes a lot of people will be shocked by her band’s album.

She said: “People will be surprised by the record. I mean, it’s a rock record. I get that there is this blonde thing from ‘Gossip Girl’ and they’re expecting pop s**t, but it’s a rock band and its heavy. Our record is a life record. It confronts everything head on. It’s death, love, drugs, sex, religion, politics.”

“Gossip Girl” star Chace Crawford rolled into a McKinney, Texas courthouse just moments ago — where a judge will formally charge the actor for allegedly having an unlit joint in a car he was sitting in.

Chace was technically charged earlier this month — but Texas law requires the actor to appear in court so the judge can make it official. Chace is facing one misdemeanor count of weed possession.

TMZ has learned “Gossip Girl” star Chace Crawford has now been charged with one misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana.

TMZ broke the story … Crawford was arrested in Plano, Texas last Friday after cops found an unlit joint in a car he was sitting in with a friend.

Chace Crawford Pot Case in D.A.’s Hands

Chace Crawford’s marijuana drama has reached the District Attorney in Collin County, Texas — which will now decide whether or not to press charges against the “Gossip Girl” star following his pot bust last week.

As we first reported, Chace was arrested on June 4 outside of a pub in Plano, TX after cops say the actor was in possession of weed.

Sources say officers found one unlit joint inside of a car Chace was sitting in with a friend.

Chace was booked on one count of possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana — a misdemeanor.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of 6 months in jail.

The ‘All For You’ singer is a huge fan of the 24-year-old ‘Gossip Girl’ hunk, and was thrilled when she recently got to meet him.

The 43-year-old star said: “I love ‘Gossip Girl’. I love the whole cast. And it’s so weird because I ended up meeting Chace Crawford. He’s beautiful. And the thing about it is, in person he’s even more beautiful. When you see him on the screen, he’s really good looking, but then you meet him in person.
