Britney Met Few Members Of D ‘Glee’
by Alice on Sep.25, 2011, under Artist
Britney Spears met few members of the ‘Glee’ cast when she appeared on the show
The pop superstar made a cameo appearance as herself on the musical drama series last year, but actor Matthew Morrison – who plays teacher Will Schuester – says it was difficult for the regular cast members to get on set the day she arrived for filming.
He said: “What was Britney like? I don’t know – I didn’t get to meet her. Not many people did.
“She had pretty big security around her. We actually had security bands to get onto our set that day.”
While Matthew appears unimpressed with Britney, he loves Gwyneth Paltrow’s guest stints on the show and thinks she has been able to reinvent herself.
He said: “Gwyneth Paltrow has definitely been my favourite guest. ‘Glee’ gives people a chance to reinvent themselves. I think Gwyneth does a lot of serious shows, but she really made fun of herself on ‘Glee’ and proved to be a goof.”
The 32-year-old singer-and-actor also revealed he would love to see Adele make an appearance on the programme.
He told Now magazine: “I’d love to have Adele on. She’s someone who has a good sense of who she is. She’d be incredible.”

Lea Michele On Her Idols
by Abbey on Feb.06, 2011, under Actress
Lea Michele doesn’t want to meet her heroes
The ‘Glee’ actress – who plays Rachel Berry in the TV musical drama – admits she has been “embarrassed” by her encounters with some famous faces, so is content with never meeting people she admires.
She said: “I’ve thoroughly embarrassed myself in front of my idols that I have met, so I’m fine with keeping them far away.”
Though Lea doesn’t worry about meeting her heroes, she would love it if Madonna or Justin Timberlake were given guest roles on the programme.
She said: “It would be great if Madonna had a cameo – she would be amazing! I think she could be the health teacher or something. Maybe the sex-education teacher!
“I’m always saying Justin Timberlake would be great too.”
One person who Lea did get to hang out with on the set of the show was Britney Spears, who played herself in an episode last year and the brunette beauty admits she was overwhelmed by their special guest.
She added: “She was amazing. I was a bit star-struck. She was so professional and looked amazing. I had to pinch myself to check that it was actually happening.”

Lea Michele is to perform at next month’s Super Bowl
The ‘Glee’ actress – who plays Rachel Berry in the musical TV show – will sing ‘America the Beautiful’ before the NFL showpiece game on February 6 in Arlington, Texas.
The 24-year-old star joins Faith Hill, Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Marc Anthony, Ray Charles and Vicki Carr as the only artists to perform the song at the prestigious match.
As well as Lea, earlier this week it was revealed Christina Aguilera will sing the national anthem ahead of the match between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers.
In a statement released by the NFL, Christina said: “I have been performing the anthem since I was seven years old and I must say the Super Bowl is a dream come true. I am really excited to be part of such an iconic event.”
Black Eyed Peas will perform during the halftime interval and the ‘I Gotta Feeling’ hitmakers have also joined forces with Sports Illustrated magazine to host a star-studded bash for the event.
Singer Fergie - who is part owner of the Miami Dolphins – said: “As an NFL owner and a football fan, I cannot be more excited to join forces with Sports Illustrated for the hottest party of the season. It will be the kick-off to an amazing weekend in Dallas and we can’t wait to get it started.”
The game will attract a star-studded audience as well as one of the biggest TV audiences of the year.

The ‘Glee’ Cast Have Beaten Elvis Presley’s British Chart Record
by cyan on Jan.24, 2011, under TV
The ‘Glee’ cast have beaten Elvis Presley’s British chart record by becoming the fastest act to score 20 top 40 hits.
The stars of the musical drama TV show achieved the feat on Sunday (23.01.11) when their rendition of Britney Spears’ ‘Toxic’ entered the UK singles chart at number 40.
They scored their 20th hit in just 57 weeks, 31 weeks ahead of the late ‘King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’, who took 88 weeks to achieve the same.
Martin Talbot, managing director of the Official Charts Company, said: “This is a quite amazing achievement by the ‘Glee’ cast to be in the same company as the likes of Elvis Presley, in fact beating his 50-year-old record.
“The success underlines just how popular this TV show has become, as well as emphasising how digital downloading has transformed the consumer’s engagement with music. The ‘Glee’ cast are superstars of the digital music age.”
Glee’s chart success includes three top 10 entries – with their cover version of Journey’s ‘Don’t Stop Believin’’ reaching number two in January 2010.
Songs from a host of top music stars have been reimagined by the ‘Glee’ cast – which includes Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison and Cory Monteith – including artists such as Madonna, Lady Gaga and Coldplay.

Lea Michele — Fewer Colos On ‘Glee’
by Kavy on Oct.24, 2010, under Actress, Artist, Music, Singer, TV
Lea Michele is reportedly upset she is being given fewer solos on ‘Glee’
The 24-year-old actress – who plays uptight singer Rachel Berry in the musical TV show – is angry the second series has focused less on her and more on other characters.
A source said: “In the beginning, she was the biggest star. But some of the biggest episodes have taken attention away from her, like the Britney Spears show, which was all about Heather Morris (Brittany).
“She thinks that because she has a Broadway background, this show was made for her.”
Lea has allegedly been critical about some of the efforts of her co-stars – which include Amber Riley, Chris Colfer and Dianna Agron -leading to friction on set.
The source added to Britain’s Star magazine: “It’s not easy being around Lea on set. She has put several people’s backs up and it’s showing no sign of improving.”
Lea has previously admitted working on ‘Glee’ helped boost her self-confidence about her looks.
She said: “‘Glee’ has made me feel beautiful. It has shown me that I am beautiful, that I can be beautiful no matter what I look like, what my weight is.”

Billy Ray Cyrus: The ‘Glee’ Pics are Fine By Me
Billy Ray Cyrus – a member of the Parents Television Council Advisory Board — is upset with the Council’s statement that the smoking hot “Glee” photos published in GQ are borderline pedophilia.
Sources connected with Billy Ray tell TMZ … the singer is “disappointed” at the statement from Council Prez Tim Winter. We’re told Billy Ray feels like the Council “has recently been spending all its time attacking people rather than promoting family television.”
The Council has attacked Miley Cyrus for a sexy music video she recently shot. Papa Cyrus — who we’re told was not consulted before Winter issued his statement — is getting “fed up with the Council.”

Gwyneth Paltrow Filming Her Guest Spot For ‘Glee’
by cyan on Oct.21, 2010, under Actress, TV
Gwyneth Paltrow was “really classy” on the set of ‘Glee’.
The Oscar-winning actress has begun filming her guest spot for the musical TV show and her co-stars were very impressed with her performance and attitude.
Harry Shum Jr. – who plays Mike Chang – told E Online: “We shot some stuff with her. She’s been great.
“We kind of just showed up on set and were like, ‘Oh, hi Gwyneth Paltrow.’ She’s really sweet, really classy. You look at someone who’s an Oscar-winning actress and you think they’re going to act a certain way and she’s just a regular person.”
The show’s creator Ryan Murphy has previously said it was a “dream come true” for Gwyneth to appear in the show.
He said: “Gwyneth Paltrow is going to come and do an episode soon, which is amazing. Having her come on the show is pretty much a dream come true – she’s always been one of my dream guests.”
As well as Gwyneth, ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’ actor Javier Bardem and Britney Spears are also set to make cameo appearances in series two.

Glee Photo Shoot Draws Fire — ‘Borders on Pedophilia’
The producers of “Glee” are taking some serious heat over a sexually charged photo shoot involving three cast members — with one powerful parents group saying the pictorial “borders on pedophilia.”
The Parents Television Council has released a statement thrashing producers for allowing Dianna Agron, Cory Monteith and Lea Michele“hyper-sexualized” to participate in a photo shoot for the November issue of GQ — despite the fact that both actresses are 24 years old and Corey is 28.
The PTC declares, “It is disturbing that GQ, which is explicitly written for adult men, is sexualizing the actresses who play high school-aged characters on ‘Glee’ in this way. It borders on pedophilia.”
The statement continues, “By authorizing this kind of near-pornographic display, the creators of the program have established their intentions on the show’s direction. And it isn’t good for families.”

Britney Spears’…..”magical” ‘Glee’
by Alice on Sep.29, 2010, under Artist, Entertainment, Shows, Singer, TV
Britney Spears’ was a “magical” ‘Glee’ guest star
The ‘Toxic’ hitmaker played herself in a special episode of the musical drama – which aired in the US last night (28.09.10) – and the regular cast members were thrilled to have her on board for the show because they were such big fans of her music.
Naya Rivera - who portrays Santana – revealed: “I love Britney Spears. I mean, who doesn’t? We all grew up with her. The first music purchase I ever made was ‘ Baby One More Time’ on cassette. It was like, Britney Spears is going to be in my mitts, what do I do? And I was like, ‘Hi Britney!’ And then she was like, ‘Hey!’ She was awesome and beautiful. She was magical.”
Heather Morris – who plays cheerleader Brittany – got particularly close to the singer in the episode, which was titled ‘Britney/Brittany’, and the 23-year-old actress admits she was in awe of her co-star.
She gushed: “I just sat there and stared at her. Like, ‘Wow, I’m just hanging out with Britney Spears as Brittany the character. We’re doing a scene. I’m singing her songs. It was weird.
“When I was younger she was, like, my idol. I am, like, literally an inch away from Britney Spears, who I used to watch on television and, like, learn dance moves to. … It’s Spearstacular.”

Rumours: Is Selena Gomez Dating Someone?
by cyan on Aug.11, 2010, under Actress, Dating
Selena Gomez Is Rumoured To Be Dating ‘Glee’ Star Mark Salling.
The ‘Monte Carlo’ actress – who split from singer Nick Jonas earlier in the year and has also dated ‘Twilight’ star Taylor Lautner in the past – is said to have got close to the actor at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday evening (08.08.10).
A friend revealed to RadarOnline.com: “They were texting during the awards, even though Selena was front row and Mark was backstage co-hosting. Every time Mark came up on stage, she was beaming ear to ear.”
However, 27-year-old Mark – who recently announced plans to release his first solo album ‘Pipe Dreams’ – then ditched the awards after-party in favour of heading to Hollywood eatery Katsuya with fellow ‘Glee’ cast members Cory Monteith and Chord Overstreet.
Selena, 18, recently admitted she hasn’t been on a date in months and understands the pain of unrequited love.
She said: “Unfortunately, I haven’t been on a date in over six months. In hindsight, it doesn’t really seem that long between dates. The truth is I haven’t met anyone, but I’m young. I don’t need to have a boyfriend right now.
“Any crush or relationship is always a big ordeal. To get that one boy to like you and then if he doesn’t it feels like the end of the world. I figure that you will have about 1,000 dates until you get to your perfect guy.”

Kelly Brook Has Been Asking Her Ex-Boyfriend To Find Her A New Man?
by cyan on Jul.06, 2010, under Actress, Boyfriend
The ‘Piranha 3-D’ actress – who split from English rugby hunk Danny Cipriani in June – has reportedly phoned Hollywood action star Jason Statham to ask him to find her a guy in Los Angeles.
A source told heat magazine: “She’s contacted Jason to see if he has any single pals she could line-up for dates in Los Angeles. She actually really trusts his judgement.”
Kelly – who was in a relationship with Jason for seven years before she separated from him in 2004 to embark on a romance with actor Billy Zane – is apparently terrified about being single and wants to get back into a relationship as soon as possible.
The source added: “She doesn’t have to look far – men fall over themselves to date her… But Kelly is phobic about being single. She feels like her brand is a million times stronger when she has a boyfriend in her life. She worries about her career and knows she makes column inches with her relationships and figure.”
Since splitting from Danny, Kelly, 30, has been on a date with ‘Glee’ star Matthew Morrison and has escaped to the Caribbean for a holiday, while the 22-year-old sportsman has been seen out on two occasions in Los Angeles with Lindsay Lohan.

“It’s what I love” Playing An Evil Character — Says Dakota Fanning
by Kavy on Jun.10, 2010, under Actress
Dakota Fanning loves playing an evil character in ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’.
The 16-year-old actress – who portrays cruel vampire Jane in the blood-sucking movie franchise – admits she liked being able to transport herself into a nasty character.
She said: “She definitely takes pleasure in using her power which is inflicting pain on others, which is not a normal thing! So yeah it was cool to get to transform myself into more of an evil character which I haven’t done before.”
The teen star also confesses acting is the only career for her, although she would like to continue with her education alongside film commitments.
She said: “I do want to go to college, I want to be able to act and go to college at the same time. But it is absolutely what I want to do with the rest of my life. I can’t imagine doing anything else. It’s what I love.
Discussing her dream collaborations, Dakota claims Jodie Foster is a big inspiration for her due to her career longevity.
She told website NY1: “I’ve always wanted to work with Jodie Foster, I really admire because just because she’s started young and she’s continued and it’s just something I want to do. I want to constantly challenge myself. I hope by the end of my life I’ve been able to do all genres.
