Paris Hilton’s boyfriend bought her a ruby and diamond necklace for Valentine’s Day (14.02.11)

The hotel heiress admitted she was spoilt by Cy Waits on the romantic day as the nightclub mogul treated her to expensive gifts as well as taking her for a romantic meal at BOA Steakhouse in Los Angeles.

Speaking about her Valentine’s treats, Paris tweeted: “Just got home from a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner with my love. He gave me the most beautiful ruby and diamond necklace. Loves it. (sic)”

She then added: “I love Valentine’s Day! So romantic and sweet!  Hope everyone is having a lovely evening. xo Paris. (sic)”

Earlier this week, Paris – who turns 30 tomorrow (17.02.11) – insisted she had never been happier because her career is going well, she’s in a great relationship and is fitter than ever because Cy has become her personal trainer.

She said: “Life is great at the moment! I have my new show, ‘The World According To Paris’, starting soon; things with my boyfriend are great; and now I have a new weekly workout, which I love.

“Me and Cy have been training together for the past three months. It’s all new to me. I used to hate working out, but I started because it was something we could do together. I wanted to try something he enjoyed. He makes it fun for me.

“It’s great, because I get to spend time with Cy and we’re so happy together. We’re either in the gym or playing tennis and are always laughing, so the time just flies. And now I’ve realised how important it is to look after my body.”

Noel Gallagher provided the “icing” for Miles Kane’s solo album

The 24-year-old singer contacted the ex-Oasis guitarist to provide extra vocals on a track for his forthcoming LP ‘The Colour Of The Trap’ and was delighted when his pal agreed to help.

Miles said: “I texted Noel saying, ‘Do you fancy doing these high harmonies? Icing is all it needs.’ He replied straight away saying, ‘Icing is what I do very well.’ ”

Miles was previously performed with The Rascals and The Last Shadow Puppets and admits going it alone was daunting at first.

He said: “When you’ve been in a band with your best friends like I was, you had your posse around you. But doing this at first was a bit daunting – that whole thing of doing it all, calling the shots.”

The rocker’s Last Shadow Puppets bandmate Alex Turner – who also fronts Arctic Monkeys – likes his pal’s new album, but the pair are competitive in their work.

Miles told GQ magazine: “We are best friends. But I also think there’s a bit of competition. If he writes a great tune, then I want to write a great tune. It’s healthy for both of us.”

Jose Canseco’s Twin Brother Busted for DUI

Ozzie Canseco — the twin brother of infamous MLB star Jose Canseco — was arrested early this morning for DUI.

Canseco was busted at 2:13 AM in Tampa, FL by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. According to the arrest report, Canseco had a blood alcohol level of .109/.108 … slightly above the legal limit of .08%.

Ozzie had a brief major league career, having never hit a home run in 65 career ABs.

‘You’re Cut Off’ Star — Popped for DUI

One of the spoiled, rotten she-brats on the new season of “You’re Cut Off” was busted for DUI in West Hollywood last night … at the SAME TIME her show was premiering on VH1.

TMZ has learned Jennifer Jowett — the chick who declared on the show, “Ugly people annoy me” — was pulled over for talking on her cell phone while driving … and when the officer approached the vehicle, the cop detected alcohol on her breath.

Law enforcement sources tell us, 28-year-old Jowett performed “poorly” on a field sobriety test — and was then given a breathalyzer. We’re told Jowett’s blood alcohol content was .10 — just over the legal limit of .08.

Cops placed Jowett under arrest and took her to a nearby station — where she was booked and held overnight. We’re told she was released around 8:00 AM after posting bail.

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are among the five nominees for the Orange Rising Star Award at this year’s BAFTAs

The ‘Spider-Man’ stars are joined by Gemma Arterton, Tom Hardy and Aaron Johnson on the shortlist for the prize which recognises young actors and actresses who made a breakthrough in the last year.

At the announcement today, jury member Ben Drew – aka Plan B – said: “It was a great honour to be invited on the jury panel for the Orange Wednesdays Rising Star Award this year.

“I recently directed my first feature film and therefore know that there is a wealth of inspiring rising talent out there and it is awards such as these that help these guys get their names in lights.

“I am really pleased with the final five for this year’s award and I can’t wait to see who the public vote for.”

The shortlist was drawn up by a jury chaired ‘An Education’ producer Finola Dwyer which included respected figures in the film industry such as actors Peter Sarsgaard and Natascha McElhone and directors Mike Newell and Tom Ford.

‘Never Let Me Go’ star Andrew and ‘Easy A’ actress Emma are currently filming the ‘Spider-Man’ prequel playing the superhero and his love interest Gwen Stacy respectively.

They face stiff competition from Tom Hardy, who won praise for his role in blockbuster movie ‘Inception’ this year, while Gemma Arterton won plaudits for her role in ‘Tamara Drewe’ and Aaron Johnson impressed in ‘Kick-Ass’.

The eventual winner will be voted for by the public, and will collect their prize during a star-studded ceremony at the BAFTA Awards at the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden on February 13.

Last year, ‘Twilight Saga’ actress Kristen Stewart picked up the accolade.

Palm Desert PD Gunning for Lindsay From the Get-Go

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the Palm Desert Police Department was rabidly trying to get Lindsay Lohan arrested just days after her altercation with a Betty Ford Center staffer.

Sources say a police lieutenant contacted L.A. County Deputy Probation Officer Barbara Parker shortly after Lindsay’s December 12 run-in with Dawn Holland, asking her to come to Betty Ford and arrest Lindsay for violating her probation. When Parker told the lieutenant it would be premature to take such drastic action, we’re told the lieutenant began arguing with her and it got “extremely heated.”

We’ve learned after the call, the lieutenant’s boss called Parker to apologize.

As TMZ reported earlier today, the police are now saying Lindsay violated her probation by committing a battery. What’s interesting is that it’s for the L.A. County Probation Department and ultimately a Beverly Hills judge — not the police in Riverside County — to conclude if Lindsay violated probation.

Sources tell TMZ … the L.A. County Probation Department will take no action against Lindsay unless she’s convicted of battery in Riverside County.

Christina Aguilera had to work this Halloween weekend — performing a one hour show at a private party for a really rich guy — but TMZ has learned the singer raked in roughly $1,000,000 for the gig.

The guy behind the party is mega-loaded investment guru Charles Brandes — who throws an annual super expensive Halloween bash at his San Diego estate.

We’re told Brandes locked in Aguilera to perform this past Saturday night between 7:30 and 8:30 pm — at a rate of $16,666 per minute … plus hair, makeup, travel and other related costs.

Sources connected to the event insist Brandes didn’t pay Christina a dime over $500,000 — but several well-connected sources in Aguilera’s camp are standing firm on the million dollar mark.

Either way … SICK PAY for 60 minutes of “work.”

Cops: Don’t Blame Eva Longoria for BMW Crash

Eva Longoria is not responsible for her car accident on Hollywood Blvd. last week — at least according to the police.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … cops have finished their investigation into the two-car crash involving Eva’s BMW X5 and another guy driving the exact same car — and have concluded that the other driver was “at fault” because he made a left turn in front of Eva … causing the SUVs to collide.

Probably not good news for the other guy — who recently filed a lawsuit against Eva, claiming it was all her fault. Eva vehemently denies it was her fault.

Sources close to the offer tell us Playboy is willing to fork over a cool $75,000 for her trouble — and to sweeten the deal, they’re even willing to give Oksana the cover … a pretty enticing move for a struggling musician looking for some non-Mel publicity.

So far, no word on whether Oksana is considering the move — but with her significant legal debt, it could be the perfect opportunity.

Justin Bieber may be a victim of bullying rather than responsible for assault

The 16-year-old singer is being investigated by police after being accused of hitting a 12-year-old boy in the face during a game of laser tag – a physical infrared points scoring gun game – at the Planet Lazer Entertainment Center in Richmond, Canada, last Friday (15.10.10).

But eyewitnesses interviewed about the incident by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police claim the pop star could have been the real victim of bullying after he was allegedly cornered during the game.

An eyewitness told RadarOnline.com: “I don’t think Justin was called a ‘f****’ or anything like that and he certainly did not punch the other kid on the face.

“I saw the kid when he left the game and he had no bruises or red marks on his face that could have been the result of being punched or hit hard.

“His older sister, who was around 20, confronted Justin when he went outside and asked him, ‘Did you hit my brother?’ Justin admitted that he had made some physical contact but had only ‘grazed him’ after he pushed his way out after he had been forced into a corner by the other kid and his friends.

“The kid in question was celebrating his birthday with around a dozen other friends who were around the same age.

“Justin had been separated from his father and bodyguard at the time of the incident and word had gotten out that he was inside. I think the other kids crowded him and he simply just pushed past them and against the other boy in the process.

“There were around 35 people inside the game at the time and I think the whole thing has been blown out of proportion because the kid wasn’t even hurt.”

A spokesperson for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Corporal Annie Linteau, has confirmed the investigation is continuing, but wouldn’t comment on whether Justin was involved.

Jennifer Grey’s husband persuaded her not to have Botox for ‘Dancing with the Stars’

The ‘Dirty Dancing’ beauty – who is currently competing in the US reality dance competition with professional partner Derek Hough – was tempted to turn to cosmetic surgery before appearing on the show until her husband Clark Gregg convinced her she “looks great” as she is.

She explained to Us Weekly magazine: “Before the show, I thought, Oh, I should get some Botox, get rid of the wrinkles under my eyes. When you put a lot of make-up, the lines become very apparent.

“But Clark told me not to touch anything, to be who I am, because I look great.”

Despite contemplating the skin-smoothing injections, Jennifer believes surgery is a “pitfall” of modern society.

The 50-year-old actress – who has eight-year-old daughter Stella with her husband of nine years – has also admitted she wasn’t happy in her own skin when she was younger and her face “perfect”.

She explained: “Aging is inevitable and the idea that we can be eternally youthful is the pitfall of our society.

“When my body and face were perfect as far as youth, I wasn’t happy. If you try to hold on to something you don’t have anymore, you can’t be happy in the moment.”

Shia LaBeouf has blasted his film ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ for “dropping the ball”

The actor felt the film – the fourth instalment in the adventures of the titular archaeologist, directed by Hollywood legend Steven Spielberg and also starring Harrison Ford – didn’t live up to the legacy of the previous movies.

Despite the film’s huge box office success – it took over £500 million – Shia was worried his current project ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’, the sequel to ‘Wall Street’, could suffer the same critical mauling.

He told The Sun newspaper: “I had already been involved in a movie where I felt we had dropped the ball on a legacy, and I was part of it.

“And then you jump into a situation with heavier hitters, just a stronger legacy. You drop the ball twice and it’s over for you.

“In ‘Indiana Jones…’ I felt sort of pigeon-holed. I didn’t have enough meat to chew on, and I was put there for reasons.

“It was like we were trying to enforce innocence on an audience that was not willing. You cannot enforce this.”

Shia is fast becoming one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actors, but he is determined not to get complacent in his film choices and performances like some other stars.

He added: “I am not where I want to be at. And I hope I will never go to the (Robert) De Niro stage where I’ve gotten there and I am comfortable. Because that’s the death of an actor.”

Mel Allegedly Begged Oksana for Forgiveness

Mel Gibson dropped to his knees the morning after the nuclear January 6 meltdown and begged Oksana Grigorieva for forgiveness … this according to sources connected with the case.

We’ve learned Oksana Grigorieva gave L.A. County Sheriff’s investigators an email — obtained by TMZ — in which Mel said to Oksana he wanted to “come by to make amends to you, Sacha and Lucia.” Mel added, “I spent 2 hours with a therapist today & have regained some perspective. What I’m telling you now is I am safe.”

Oksana responds by saying, “I have two broken front teeth and a concussion. I cannot c u today, I’m hurting.”

Mel then responds, “Did you get them fixed yet? When can I see you. I need to see you this evening & then I promise I’ll leave you alone for as long as you want if only for 10 minutes Please.”

We’ve learned Oksana has told Sheriff’s investigators Mel showed up at the house unannounced later that day, came inside, began to cry and begged for forgiveness. Oksana told investigators Mel crawled toward her but she walked away and Mel eventually left.

It’s important to note — we’re told there are hundreds of emails that went back and forth between Mel and Oksana, and the true story of what happened is only revealed by presenting all of them at once — which will come in due time.

Chyna was just rushed to the hospital for alcohol poisoning … TMZ has learned.

Sources tell us Chyna was taken to the UCLA Medical Center … where she was admitted.

The former wrestler is now famous for alcohol problems, appearing on Dr. Drew’s “Celebrity Rehab.”

Chyna’s condition is unknown.

Goldman Lawyer Rips O.J. for Taped Confession

O.J. Simpson is a “professional liar” according to Fred Goldman’s lawyer (and just about everyone else) — who is lashing out after Simpson’s admission that he hid his fortune from Fred Goldman.

David Cook tells TMZ, “We sat down with this guy over many years and repeatedly and consistently asked him about his valuable assets. If he made any misstatement it’s simply perjury.”

In the upcoming documentary, “O.J. Monster or Myth?” Simpson confesses that he gave away assets to friends — all in an effort so Goldman wouldn’t be able to collect on the $25 million judgment he was awarded when the civil jury decided Simpson killed his wife and Ron Goldman.

Cook added, “We are watching him pervert the American justice system.”

‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Star Arrested for Assaulting Cop

TMZ has learned … “Sons of Anarchy” star Mark Hiedrich — aka Mark Boone Junior — was arrested in Glendale, CA earlier today for allegedly assaulting a police officer.

Law enforcement sources tell us Hiedrich was originally pulled over for a traffic violation … and during the stop … he went after the cop.

We’re told additional officers were called to the scene … and Hiedrich was taken into custody for assaulting an officer and resisting arrest.

Candlelight Vigil Planned for Dr. Frank Ryan

TMZ has learned … Dr. Frank Ryan’s family, friends and staff are coming together to organize a candlelight vigil for the Hollywood surgeon tonight in Malibu.

The event will take place at 7:30 PM at Zuma Beach — located at 30000 Pacific Coast Highway … roughly 12 miles from the spot on PCH where Dr. Ryan lost control of his jeep yesterday and crashed down into an embankment.

We’re told friends and family wanted the vigil at that particular spot because, “Dr. Ryan LOVED that area … and it is close to his ranch.”

We’re told the event is open to “anyone who knew him.”

Oprah Co. Sued for MS Discrimination

A woman who worked for Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network claims she was subjected to a hostile work environment … because she suffers from Multiple Sclerosis.

According to a lawsuit filed today in Los Angeles Superior Court, Catherine Dunn was an assistant at OWN beginning in August 2008. She claims that during her time there, she was “subjected to a hostile work environment” because of her MS.

She claims she was forced to take a stress leave as well of a leave of absence because her MS symptoms were exasperated because of the workplace stress.

When she was out on leave, Dunn claims she was replaced by “a non-disabled and younger employee.”

Dunn is suing for wrongful termination, among other things. She is asking for unspecified damages.

So far … no comment from Oprah & Co.

Enrique Gets Naked for World Cup Bet — On Water Skis

Enrique Iglesias is a man of his word – ’cause dude just got naked and busted out the water skis to satisfy a bet he made regarding the World Cup … and lucky for you … we got it all on tape!

OK, so the footage is pretty grainy … and shaky … but still, it’s a naked Enrique shredding up the coast of Miami … just like he told the BBC he would do if Spain won the World Cup … which they did.

Sources close to Iglesias … and his situation … tell us Enrique did the naked run just a few days ago … “at the end of July” … telling us the singer wanted to do it because, “A bet is a bet.”

Enrique’s people wouldn’t officially confirm the skinny ski trip … but they did tell us, “We do not manage Enrique’s personal time schedule but we do know he was in Miami the last week of July.”

In a related note, Enrique had to keep his bare ass stunt top secret because — as we previously reported — local law enforcement had threatened to bust Enrique on public nudity charges if they caught him hangin’ 11 on their watch.
