Fergie wants to take a break from showbiz

The Black Eyed Peas star is glad the band – who she appears in with will.i.am, Taboo and Apl.de.ap – are taking a short hiatus so she can focus on her family life with husband Josh Duhamel and decorate her home.

She said: “I need more balance in my life. I want to be home more, not in hotel rooms recovering from jet-lag and the chaos of touring.

“I need a break from that. I want to be in my house, decorating!”

The 36-year-old singer admits a baby may be on the cards for her and Josh and is “looking forward” to their future together.

She added: “I’m a huge family person – huge – and yes, Josh and I want to have children, but I am not pregnant!

“But we definitely talk about it. That’ll be a whole other chapter of our lives and it’s going to be so much fun. We’re looking forward to it.”

Despite being well known for her sexy image, often wearing skin-tight clothes while performing with the Black Eyed Peas, Fergie admits she feels sexiest when she is make-up free.

She told Britain’s Cosmopolitan magazine: “When do I feel sexiest? When I get out of the shower and I feel fresh and my hair is clean.

“I feel very sexy then because I’m so clean and pure and beautiful. I don’t feel so sexy when I’ve just taken an 11-hour flight and I get home and I’m jet lagged!”

Fergie admits her drug addiction could lead to both “brilliance and disaster”

The Black Eyed Peas singer successfully fought a battle against a dependency on illicit substance crystal methamphetamine – known as crystal meth – and thinks the days of her excesses had both good and bad points.

She said: “I think that sometimes it leads to brilliance and other times it leads to disaster. That’s my answer.”

Fergie’s bandmate Taboo has also previously battled an addiction to drugs and alcohol and admits his lifestyle in the band made it difficult to give up his deadly habits.

He said: “The excess of partying for me was out of control and it just let me to a place where I crashed really hard. It wasn’t just about me, I was damaging my family and almost my career.

“The thing is, when you do have that addictive personality and you have success and fame, it’s there every night. And you partake. And you get caught up, ‘Oh, I’ll stop tomorrow.’ I’d look at myself in the mirror and say, ‘I’m going to stop,’ and next day go to the drug dealer. But I bounced back.”

Fergie & Josh — Our Bodyguard Saved a Life!

Fergie and Josh Duhamel’s cross-country flight had to be diverted for a passenger’s medical emergency — and it was the couple’s bodyguard who sprang into action to help save the man’s life!

Sources on the late night flight from NY to LA tell us a passenger began vomiting, then had a seizure. We’re told Fergie and Josh’s bodyguard, Pascal — a mountain of a man — jumped up to help flight attendants move the passenger into the aisle.

We’re told a doctor, who happened to be on board, performed CPR — then Pascal moved the man to the back of the plane, where flight attendants attached him to a heart monitor.

The flight was diverted to Las Vegas … and the passenger received treatment at a nearby hospital.

In true hero fashion, Pascal was mum about the incident when they got to LAX — but Josh was quick to sing his praises.

Fergie says spending quality time with her husband is one of her top priorities for the year

The Black Eyed Peas singer – who married actor Josh Duhamel in January 2009 – won’t be releasing a second solo album in the near future as she wants to concentrate on her home life.

She told TV show ‘Access Hollywood’: “I’ve got a lot on my plate and this year is more about simplifying and really paying attention to the projects that I have on my plate and spending some time with the hubby, you know?”

One of the domestic projects Fergie has in mind is clearing out the clutter in their house.

She said: “We’ll be cleaning out my closet. That’s been a big thing this year – huge for me – purging and splurging. I finally am at the place where I’m letting it go. I’m cleaning things out and I’m starting to make more purchases for myself.”

Last year, Fergie revealed she is keen to start a family with Josh.

The 36-year-old star: “It’s going to be a whole other chapter and a lot of fun!”

Lea Michele is to perform at next month’s Super Bowl

The ‘Glee’ actress – who plays Rachel Berry in the musical TV show – will sing ‘America the Beautiful’ before the NFL showpiece game on February 6 in Arlington, Texas.

The 24-year-old star joins Faith Hill, Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Marc Anthony, Ray Charles and Vicki Carr as the only artists to perform the song at the prestigious match.

As well as Lea, earlier this week it was revealed Christina Aguilera will sing the national anthem ahead of the match between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers.

In a statement released by the NFL, Christina said: “I have been performing the anthem since I was seven years old and I must say the Super Bowl is a dream come true. I am really excited to be part of such an iconic event.”

Black Eyed Peas will perform during the halftime interval and the ‘I Gotta Feeling’ hitmakers have also joined forces with Sports Illustrated magazine to host a star-studded bash for the event.

Black Eyed Peas are to host a star-studded Super Bowl party

The ‘I Gotta A Feeling‘ hitmakers – who are performing during the half-time interval at the NFL showpiece game in Arlington, Texas, on February 6 – have joined forces with Sports Illustrated magazine to put on the bash, which they have promised will be the hottest in town.

Singer Fergie – who is part owner of the Miami Dolphins – said: “As an NFL owner and a football fan, I cannot be more excited to join forces with Sports Illustrated for the hottest party of the season. It will be the kick-off to an amazing weekend in Dallas and we can’t wait to get it started.”

As well as Black Eyed Peas, other guests include singer David Guetta and Sports Illustrated models Christine Teigen, Anne V, Julie Henderson and Genevieve Morton.

The game – between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers -will attract a star-studded audience as well as one of the biggest TV audiences of the year.

The character was portrayed by John Wayne in the 1969 film, a performance which earned him the Academy Award for Best Actor. The film is an adaptation of the 1968 novel by Charles Portis.

James Franco for ‘127 Hours’

James Franco stars as a real-life mountain climber Aron Ralston, in 2010 drama thriller film directed by Danny Boyle, ‘127 Hours’. In May 2003, hiker Aron Ralston became trapped by a boulder in Robbers Roost, Utah for nearly five days in 2003. The film was written by Boyle and Simon Beaufoy and produced by Christian Colson. 127 Hours met with critical acclaim.

Jesse Eisenberg for ‘The Social Network’

Fergie thinks Cheryl Cole can “rule the world”

The Black Eyed Peas singer – who became pals with the British beauty this summer when the ‘Parachute’ hitmaker was the opening act on the group’s tour – thinks her pal could soon work with some of the world’s biggest movie and music stars.

She said: “She is such a good friend. But I don’t think she has quite got her head around how big she is going to be. My girl really can rule the world. I have already heard crazy things like Robert De Niro wants to make movies with her and that Jay-Z wants to work with her.”

Fergie even believes the Girls Aloud singer – who is rumoured to be joining the judging panel on the US ‘X Factor’ when it launches next year – could reach the levels of stardom attained by pop superstars Madonna and Mariah Carey.

She enthused to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Within five years we could be talking about Cheryl on the same level as we go Madonna or Mariah Carey.”

Fergie insists she will be a “sexy” mother.

The Black Eyed Peas singer is going to discuss starting a family with her husband Josh Duhamel when her current tour ends and is confident she will still be hot even when she has a baby in tow.

She told Britain’s Cosmopolitan magazine: “You can be a mother and still be completely sexy.”

Although the 35-year-old pop star is thinking about motherhood she admits she is completely focused on her music career right now.

She said: “Right now, I don’t want anything clouding my focus. Right now, I’m living in the present.”

Fergie recently confessed she would feel “too guilty” to perform on stage if she was pregnant.

She stated: “Everyone tries to rush you into everything these days, but for me right now it’s all about Black Eyed Peas – there’s no room in my schedule to have a child.

“Even if I wanted to get pregnant, there’s no way I could perform on stage and be pregnant, I would feel too guilty. Once I have children, the kids come first.”

Josh Duhamel can’t wait to become a father.

The handsome actor says he and wife Fergie want to start a family in the future but denied rumours the Black Eyed Peas star was already pregnant.

He said: “We’ll go there, at some point.”

In his new movie, ‘Life As We Know It’, Josh plays the adoptive father of an orphaned child and says the role has helped prepare him for fatherhood.

He said: “I learned a lot from these kids. The amount of patience it takes, I guess, is the big thing.”

Josh – who earlier this year renewed his marriage vows with Fergie ahead of their first wedding anniversary – has previously spoken of his desire to have children.

He said: “We’re thinking about kids. I don’t know when. She said that she’d be pregnant twice. So I said, ‘Great, we’ll have two sets of twins!’ ”

Following the renewal of their wedding vows, Josh it was the “best date” the couple have ever had.

The ‘Transformers’ actor said: “It was the best date we had ever. I got to surprise her. I said, ‘Just be ready at 3 o’clock.’ ”

Josh Duhamel insists his second wedding to Fergie was the “best date” the couple have ever had.

The ‘Transformers’ actor renewed his vows with the Black Eyed Peas singer just a few days before their first wedding anniversary on January 10, and Josh has revealed Fergie wasn’t aware of his plans.

He told NBC: “It was the best date we had ever. I got to surprise her. I said, ‘Just be ready at 3 o’clock.’ ”

Fergie, 34, and 37-year-old Josh attended last night’s (17.01.10) Golden Globe awards and the singer-and-actress revealed she was planning to enjoy the evening because it was one of the couple’s last nights together before she goes on tour with the Black Eyed Peas.

Speaking before the ceremony – which was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, in Beverly Hills, and was hosted by Ricky Gervais – she said: “It’s date night!”

The screenplay of this musical-romantic film is based on Arthur Kopit’s book for the 1982 Tony Award-winning musical of the same name. The star-studded cast includes Daniel Day-Lewis, Marion Cotillard, Penélope Cruz, Judi Dench, Fergie, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman and Sophia Loren.

The Hurt Locker

The story of this American war thriller was written by Mark Boal, a freelance writer who was embedded with a bomb squad in the war in Iraq. The Hurt Locker, directed by Kathryn Bigelow, was shot in Jordan, within miles of the Iraq border. The movie has received widespread acclaim from film critics.

Precious

A film adaption of the award-winning 1996 novel Push: A Novel by Sapphire. Precious, directed by Lee Daniels, received largely positive reviews from critics. Precious has multiple producers – with twelve in total which includes     Lee Daniels, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Heller and Tyler Perry.

Invictus

Invictus, directed by Clint Eastwood, is a biographical drama film based on Nelson Mandela’s life during the 1995 Rugby World Cup in South Africa. Morgan Freeman stars as the then South African President Nelson Mandela.

Up in the Air

‘Up in the Air’, directed by Jason Reitman, is about a corporate downsizer and his travels. George Clooney plays the role of Ryan Bingham, a man who travels around the country to various workplaces, a career transition counselor. the review for this movie have been generally positive.

Inglourious Basterds

Inglourious Basterds, directed by Quentin Tarantino, tells the story of two plots to assassinate the Nazi political leadership. This film is set in German-occupied France. Inglourious Basterds is currently Tarantino’s highest grossing film.

Brothers

Directed by Jim Sheridan, ‘Brothers’ is a drama-war film starring Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman. The film take inspiration from Homer’s epic poem ‘The Odyssey’.

The film is about relationship- between brothers, husband and a loving father of two, in a very sweet American family. Suddenly everything changes when Capt. Sam Cahill (Tobey Maguire) goes missing in Afghanistan and everyone assumes he is dead. Actually he was captured by Afgan rebels were he was forced to kill one of his own soldier.

In the meanwhile his wife Grace (Natalie Portman) gets attached to his brother Tommy (Jake Gyllenhaal). But his unexpected return brings a twist in the story. At the end Sam says “only the dead has seen the end of war, I have seen the end of war ….. can I live again ?”

The Last Station

German biographical film about Leo Tolstoy, based on a 1990 biographical novel of the same name by Jay Parini. This movie is directed by Michael Hoffman.

Public Enemies

American crime film, co-written and directed by Michael Mann, focuses on the true story of Bureau of Investigation agent Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale)’s attempt to stop criminals John Dillinger (Johnny Depp), Baby Face Nelson (Stephen Graham), and Pretty Boy Floyd (Channing Tatum).

The film portrays American crime scenario of 1933 which was referred as “the golden age of bank robbery” for John Dillinger, Alvin Karpis and Baby Face Nelson, but they were hunted down by federal agent Melvin Purvis . The flims ends with the dying words of John Dillinger – “bye bye black bird”  the last message for his girlfriend Billie Frechette.

Terri Jackson has spoken out in defence of her “great” son-in-law, following reports the couple – who married in January this year – have been going through marriage difficulties after allegations Josh cheated on the 34-year-old beauty with several women.

She said: “My daughter’s life is amazing and Josh is a great guy – that story is b******t as far as I’m concerned.”

It had been reported the ‘Transformers’ star cheated on the songstress while away filming the action movies.

However, Terri is convinced the couple will survive the “absurd” rumours.
