Ewan McGregor has adopted a baby girl

The ‘Star Wars’ actor and his wife Eve Mavrakis have welcomed a fourth daughter, who was born in March, to their brood. The new addition joins Ewan and Eve’s biological children Clara, 15, and nine-year-old Esther and, Jamiyan, nine, who was born in Mongolia and adopted five years ago.

Ewan, 40, let slip about the baby in an interview, explaining how he likes to keep his family with him while he is filming. He told the New York Post newspaper: “My wife and four girls – 15, two nine-year-olds and a baby of four months – often come with me if it’s a holiday or my locations and their schedules allow.

“Sometimes we uproot them and put them in another school.” No further details about the couple’s newest daughter are known. Ewan has, however, recently said he always makes as much time as possible for his children. He said: “I understand it can be boring to play with young children – to tell a story over and over again, let’s say – but the secret is being there.

“If you’ve made a decision to play with your children, then play with them. “Turn off your BlackBerry. Lose yourself in their world. Even if you do it for a short time, it will mean a lot to you and to them.”

Hilary Swank wants to kiss Richard Gere and Ewan McGregor all day long.

The Oscar-winning actress had a great time working on her new film ‘Amelia’ – which is about the life of the female pilot Amelia Earhart – and grew so close to her hunky co-stars, she thinks about them all the time.

Hilary – who is dating her agent John Campisi – said: “I could talk about them all day and kiss them all day. Richard is an incredible actor and I grew up watching his work. He is an icon in his own right. Then there’s the wonderful Ewan McGregor, who’s gorgeous and a gem – I’ve loved his work for a long time and he’s become a dear friend.”

The 35-year-old actress – who grew up on a trailer park in America – holds her mother Jude Swank responsible for her Hollywood career, because she made her believe in herself.

She told Britain’s Cosmopolitan magazine: “My mum has been a great role model. She gave me the gift of believing in me, which in turn made me believe in myself. She told me, ‘You can do anything you want, as long as you work hard enough – don’t let anyone get in the way.”

The ‘Elf’ actor and comedian topped the annual list by Forbes magazine, which calculated how much moviemakers earn per dollar paid to their lead actor.

After the last couple of funnyman Will’s films – ‘Semi-Pro’ and ‘Land of the Lost’ – bombed at the box office, his rate of return has dropped to $3.29 for every dollar of Will’s fee.

This contrasts greatly with the other end of the scale, which saw Shia LaBeouf named as the Best Actor for the Buck in August, earning studios an average of $160 for every dollar he was paid.

Behind Will on the Most Overpaid list was British actor Ewan McGregor, while Tom Cruise, Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson all made the top ten.

However, Will could turn his box office figures around as he recently revealed he wants to make a sequel to ‘Anchorman’, one of his most successful films to date, about a 1970s newsreader.

The 42-year-old star said: “Yeah we’re trying to figure out when and how we should do that. We’re going to meet with all the guys and see if we can actually pull this off.

“With Steve Carrell and Paul Rudd, they’re in different places with their careers it’s a lot harder to get us all together.”

Although he did add: “And believe me, I’m not taking a pay cut, no way, absolutely not!”

The 35-year-old actress – who married actor Chad Lowe in 1997 and divorced in 2006 following a 14-year romance – remains close to her former spouse despite embarking on a new relationship with John Campisi just weeks after her split, and admits Chad will be in her heart forever.

She said: “Our marriage is really such a part of the past, it’s over now. So there’s no sense in diving back. He’ll always be one of my best friends. You know you can’t spend 14 years with someone and not carry them in your heart forever.”

Hilary has also praised her ‘Amelia’ co-star, Scottish hunk Ewan McGregor, but admits she was disappointed he didn’t have any nude scenes in the film.

She told Britain’s Marie Claire magazine: “I didn’t ever feel like hitting Ewan McGregor. Why would I? He’s an incredible talent, sings all the time and all the girls just swoon. And no he didn’t expose his penis on set. Much to the women on set’s chagrin.”

The 42-year-old star – who has previously released duets with her ‘Moulin Rouge!’ co-star Ewan McGregor and British singer Robbie Williams – insists she hates performing in front of people and had to be persuaded to sing in new musical movie ‘Nine’.

She said: “I was terrified of it. I am not a natural singer in the sense that I don’t love getting up in front of a group of people and just belting out a tune. It needs to be coaxed out of me because I want my voice to tell a story and sometimes it doesn’t have the capacity to do that.”

The actress felt particularly pressured because director Rob Marshall had told her he envisaged her appearing as a “goddess” in the movie.

She told Empire magazine: “When Rob approached me, he told me a role had been written especially. He told me he wanted her to look like a goddess and I was a little overwhelmed by that.”

While Nicole was eventually persuaded to record her vocals, she has previously vowed never to sing with her husband, country music star Keith Urban.

She said: “We have our work, but most important is our life together, we don’t want to blend the two.”
