The 46-year-old model-and-actress – whose cricketer lover has stepped out looking wrinkle-free and considerably slimmer in recent weeks – is reportedly concerned the Australian sportsman has taken his new beauty regime a little far.

An insider told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “It’s not Elizabeth who has been telling him to diet and look after himself more – it’s all down to Shane. Shane’s been asking Liz about age-defying procedures like fillers and Botox and she’s found it all rather bizarre.

“She loves the fact he’s dropped some pounds but now it’s all getting a little crazy and she’s wondering what he’s going to do next.

“Liz doesn’t want to lose the man she’s fallen in love with but all the girly chat is getting a little tiresome. Her friends are finding it all highly amusing.”

Despite her worries over Shane’s new look, Elizabeth is still said to be “head over heels” in love with the former cricketer.

The source added: “Liz is still head over heels about Shane. She just wants him to calm down a little.”

After Shane dropped more than two stone in recent months, the brunette beauty took to twitter to joke that it was down to her “evil regime”.

She tweeted: “I’ve decided to take full responsibility for SW’s remarkable weight loss & will be publishing my secret, possibly evil, regime shortly (sic).”

Elizabeth Hurley considers Hugh Grant as “one of her family”

The 45-year-old beauty has remained “best friends” with the actor – whom she dated for 13 years until 2000 – and though they quarrel all the time, she loves nothing more than spending time with her former boyfriend.

She said: “Hugh and I met in 1987 on the set on a movie in Madrid and have been best friend ever since. I completely consider him one of my family and love spending time with him, even though we annoy each other at times.

“We rarely get through a day without fighting, but we always end up laughing.” The pair are so close the 50-year-old star is even godfather to Elizabeth’s son Damian and has a close relationship to the nine-year-old boy.

The actress said: “Damian adores his godfather and Hugh is great with him.” And although Elizabeth – who is in the process of divorcing husband Arun Nayar – thinks the idea of her ever being romantically involved with the ‘Notting Hill’ star again is “preposterous” she imagines they could end up living like a married couple.

She said: “It makes us laugh as the idea is sort of preposterous. We’ve often said though, if all else fails, we’ll end up living together again.”

Lady Gaga will be Godmother to Sir Elton John and David Furnish’s baby boy, Zachary

Film producer David let slip in a recent interview that the couple are lining up the eccentric singer to play an important role in the life of their two-month-old son, who was born on Christmas Day (25.12.10) via a surrogate mother.

When asked about rumours they would choose Gaga by Canadian website macleans.ca, he replied: “We haven’t publicly confirmed that yet but your sources are very good!

“I prefer not to comment on it because we are going to make a statement about Godparents later on.”

Elton and Gaga struck up a friendship after performing together at the Grammy Awards in 2010, and David further praised the singer – who composed her latest track ‘Born This Way’ about social inclusion and has called it a “gay anthem” – for her broad-mindedness and personal connection to her fans.

He said: “She’s all about inclusiveness and tolerance. She believes that you can be whoever you want to be and that we don’t have to live in a world of conformity and that we can all benefit from individuality.

“That’s the best message in the world. The freedom to be who you are, do what you want and love who you want to love.”

David, 48, also explained how this message is what he feels makes Gaga an ideal role model for Zachary.

He added: “Elton and I don’t talk about what we hope Zachary grows up to be — musician, doctor or whatever. We just hope he grows up to be happy and that he’s able to do what he wants to do in life and has the freedom to take whatever path.”

David is a Godparent himself, to Elizabeth Hurley’s eight-year-old son Damian, while Elton is Godfather to Victoria and David Beckham’s eldest two sons, Brooklyn, 11 and eight-year-old Romeo.

Elizabeth Hurley “wolfs” down her food

The 45-year-old actress has realised she has got into a “terrible” habit of eating too quickly, and is now consciously trying to chew her food for longer.

She said: “I realised I’d got into a terrible habit of wolfing my food – hardly chewing at all. I really try to chew everything now and it’s made a massive difference to my digestion and I think it makes you eat less.

“I’m also trying not to eat so late at night, which again helps your digestion.”

The brunette beauty – who has an eight-year-old son Damian – puts pressure on herself to maintain her trim figure, and has managed to lose 8lbs in the last few months.

Elizabeth – who is married to Indian businessman Arun Nayar -added: “I put myself under pressure to remain slim because I still model my own bikinis and I’ve lost about 8lbs in the last few months.

“The first thing most people ask me when they meet me is, ‘How do you stay slim?’ My organic snack bars are one of my secrets. They’re under 100 calories and help me resist crisps and chocolate.”

Elizabeth Hurley is “thrilled” to have set a new Guinness World Record

The model and Evelyn Lauder – representing beauty brand Estee Lauder – were presented with an official certificate at the Empire State Building in New York on Friday (01.10.10) in recognition of Most Landmarks Illuminated for a Cause in 24 Hours, after bathing 39 iconic places around the world in pink light to mark the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Elizabeth said: “We are thrilled to be creating a new Guinness World Record commemorating an important initiative started by Evelyn Lauder 11 years ago. It’s an honour and privilege to travel around the world with Evelyn, illuminating landmarks in pink lights and sharing our awareness with everyone we meet.

“It’s wonderful to see the global impact that these illuminated landmarks have, motivating women to see their doctors regularly, perform a monthly breast self exam, and get an annual mammogram if they’re over the age of 40. Our goal is to spread this message to women in all corners of the world.”

To officially inaugurate the new category, a minimum of 24 pre-approved landmarks needed to be illuminated in pink for at least 10 minutes in a 24-hour time period.

The effort began in Australia, with the illumination of Federation Square in Melbourne and the National Library of Australia in Canberra, before around the world to places including Taj Mahal in India, Burj al Arab in Dubai, Lentos Museum in Austria, Mexico’s Angel de la Independencia and Tokyo Tower in Japan, culminating with the Empire State Building.

The 45-year-old beauty has a soft spot for the 22-year-old screen heartthrob, admitting Efron brings out the “cougar” in her – a reference to women who like younger men.

She wrote on her twitter page: “Watching one of the High School Musicals with my son. The cougar in me loves Zac Efron.”

Hurley has been spending a lot of her time with her eight-year-old son Damian who is off school for his summer holiday and has revealed the youngster has been styling her like a Barbie doll.

Hugh – who turns 50 on September 9 2010 – said: “It’s not a good number 50 and we all have age terrors sometimes in the middle of the night. I think I might have made a sort of pact with the devil in which I think I can have fun now and sort everything later. But then he comes back and says, ‘Times up and I’m taking you to hell as you’re going to be a lonely, sad old man.’”

Although the ‘Bridget Jones’ Diary’ star worries he won’t ever become a father, he believes he would be a great dad if he did.

Hugh – who is currently single – said: “Ten years ago, I wouldn’t have thought about having children at all. But now I have so many nephews and nieces and cousins and godchildren, I like the thought.

“But that’s on the basis that I can leave after ten minutes. I don’t know what it would be like 24 hours a day. I think I’d have a lot of nannies.”

Asked if he still believes he will raise a family of his own, he added to Parade magazine: “Yes, yes, yes. I have not given up hope!

“I find I’m not as bad with children as I used to be.”

The ‘Music and Lyrics’ star even has theories on how to raise the perfect child – by not smothering them with love.

He explained: “If you have a smothering parent, the effect it can apparently have on a child is to give them, in equal doses, a sense of too much self-esteem, because they are mummy’s little princess or prince, and low self-esteem. It affects future relationships.”

The 49-year-old actor told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper: “When you say to a girl ‘I play golf’ her eyes glaze over. I do feel guilty about my golf. You know you’re a sad case when you spend your spare time reading books on putting or going on YouTube to watch slow motion golf swings.

“I’ll get out of bed in the middle of the night and practice my swing in front of the mirror. I’m obsessed and it’s destroying my life. Golf is an addiction.”

The ‘Notting Hill’ star – who has previously revealed he has travelled thousands of miles to play 18 holes – also spoke about the “physical sensation” he gets when he hits the little white balls.

He said: “I’ve decided the most addictive element is the physical sensation when in a rare moment you hit the ball flush in the middle of the club. The only thing that comes close is when I was taught to play the piano – the vibration when you hit a beautiful chord.”
