Lindsay Lohan — Bench Warrant Recalled

Lindsay Lohan — Bench Warrant Recalled

The bench warrant for Lindsay Lohan’s arrest has been recalled … a little more than an hour after it was issued, thanks to the fast work of bail bondsman David Perez.

Perez’s peeps just posted $20,000 (the standard 10% of bail) in Judge Marsha Revel’s court.   The judge recalled the warrant, which means she is able to remain free, though she has a tough road ahead.

If Lindsay violates the terms of the SCRAM program again, it’s likely the judge will throw her in jail pending the July 6 hearing on the alleged probation violation for DUI.

In short, one more false move … and she’s probably going to the slammer.

Lindsay Lohan Can Drink … For a Price

Lindsay Lohan Can Drink … For a Price

TMZ has done some digging, and it turns out Lindsay Lohan is effectively free to drink as she pleases, provided she’s willing to pay $10,000 for a vodka on the rocks.

The man who posted Lindsay’s bail yesterday — David Perez — tells TMZ Lindsay didn’t really forfeit her $100,000 bail.  The judge just applied the $100,000 to the new, enhanced bail, adding another $100,000 on, thus forcing Lindsay to pay an additional 10% premium to Perez.  So Lindsay has really lost nothing, other than having to pay a total of $20,000 to the bail bondsman.

If the SCRAM people tell the judge Lindsay is drinking again, the judge will go through the same drill.  Judge Revel can’t revoke bail altogether and throw Lindsay in jail …  because the case involves only a misdemeanor.  As long as Lindsay keeps paying the increased premium, she’ll be free.

Bottom line … if Lindsay wants to keep drinking, it will probably cost her $10,000 a pop.

One more twist.   Even though Lindsay is insisting she wasn’t drinking Sunday night, it won’t do her any good to get Shawn Chapman Holley to challenge it.  Even if Holley can convince the judge the SCRAM reading was bogus, all the judge would do is cancel the $200,000 bail and go back to the $100,000 bail.  So Lindsay would get $10,000 back, but it would probably cost $25 grand in legal and expert fees.

by tmz on Jun.09, 2010, under Actress

Lindsay Lohan — Bail Bondsman to the Rescue!

It only took minutes, but TMZ has learned the bail bondsman who posted Lindsay’s bail last month is pulling up to the Beverly Hills courthouse right now — to do it again.

TMZ has learned bondsman David Perez is pulling up to the courthouse right now to post the $200,000 bail.

Once posted, the judge will almost certainly recall the bench warrant for Lindsay’s arrest.

Nonetheless … Lindsay has forfeited the $100,000 bail previously posted.

Li Lo Posted Bail Real Quick

Lindsay Lohan Posted Bail Real Quick

Lindsay Lohan got $10,000 real fast yesterday in order to have her bench warrant recalled, and we’ve learned the money came from Lindsay’s camp … from Tennessee!

Sources tell us bail was posted at 2:00 PM yesterday, just a few hours after the court hearing.

We’re told Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, did not come up with the cash.  The $10 grand — the standard 10% — was wired from Tennessee by Lou Taylor, Lindsay’s business manager.

Bail was posted by David Perez Bail Bonds.  Incidentally, the paperwork is dated 5/19 — the day before the hearing –  but it’s a clerical error.  All of the paperwork was filled out and filed yesterday.

There are, apparently, certain things even Lindsay will do promptly.`
