The soccer star and the fashion designer – who already have sons, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, nine, and six-year-old Cruz, together – welcomed Harper Seven into the world nine weeks ago and her arrival has made has helped put the romance back into their 12-year marriage.

A source said: “Harper’s made them feel like newlyweds again. She’s rejuvenated the marriage. It wasn’t that there were any problems – Victoria just felt they’d lost some of their sparkle, as any couple who’ve been married for over 10 years would. But now that Harper’s brought out David’s softer side again, all the romance has come flooding back.

“It’s like that little girl has just flipped a switch in David’s brain and he’s more in love with his wife than ever. He’s been cooking romantic dinners for Victoria – something he hasn’t done since they were married. He orders a pizza for the boys and then sends them to their rooms as he cooks. It’s always healthy because that’s how they both eat, but he goes all out with candles and red wine. He even puts on music.

He’ll do it on a random weeknight, just out of the blue, to surprise her.” As well as preparing romantic dinners, the handsome athlete has also been pampering his wife by running her relaxing bubble baths.

The source added to Now magazine: “Last week David went a step further by running her a bubble bath and filling the bathroom with fresh flowers and scented candles. Victoria called her girlfriends positively gushing about it the next day.”

The soccer star and wife Victoria recently welcomed their fourth child, a daughter named Harper Seven, and he has not ruled out having an even larger family in addition to three sons Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, nine and six-year-old Cruz.

Speaking on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, David said: “If we were lucky enough to have another one, it would be great. We always spoke about having a big family. We love children. We are very blessed to have four healthy children so if one comes along that would be amazing.”

David Beckham cuts his own hair

The soccer ace has sported a number of daring hairstyles during his career, including a Mohawk, and a shaved head, but insists he doesn’t spend a great deal of money on his hairstyles, and always makes a spur of the moment decision on whether change his locks.

He told GQ magazine: “People try to read too much into it. Over the years they’ve said I’ve spent £2,000 on a hairstyle, which I’ve never done. Either a friend has cut it or I do it myself.

“Sometimes, I wake up and I’m bored of it, I want to shave it off. It literally is a spur of the moment decision. And I don’t think of anything apart from whether I am happy with it.”

The 36-year-old hunk – who is married to fashion designer Victoria Beckham, with whom he has four children – is currently happy with a quiffed hairstyle, and although he could change it any moment, he insists there are certain styles he will not revisit.

He added: “I’m getting older so I can’t pull off the Mohawk or the ponytail anymore. The way I’ve got it at the moment, my wife likes it, my kids like it, so I’m happy with it. But that could all change in the morning.”

David Beckham has hired an armed bodyguard to protect his family

The soccer player – who has kids Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, Cruz, six, and one-and-a-half month Harper Seven with wife Victoria – was spotted being protected by a minder, who was wearing an openly holstered pistol and is thought to be an off-duty policeman, on Malibu Beach in Los Angeles as his sons played in the water.

A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: “I can’t comment on any individual case, but the practice of celebrities hiring off-duty officers for private security purposes is common practice here.”

Freelance photographer Mike Kamara saw the bodyguard and explained the gun was clearly visible on the outside of his clothes.

He explained: “I didn’t notice him at first. He kept in the background very discreetly. But I noticed him when David walked over and handed him a plastic toy that the youngsters had been playing with.

“I saw immediately that he was openly wearing a holstered pistol on his right hip. You couldn’t fail to see it against his blue cargo pants and white shirt.”

The 36-year-old hunk and his family have been spending time on the beach since renting out movie director Steven Spielberg’s oceanside mansion for the summer.

David Beckham admits it will be “interesting” for him when his newborn daughter starts dating

The soccer star and his fashion designer wife Victoria welcomed their first girl, Harper Seven, into the world on July 10 and protective dad David has already come up with a plan when she starts to show an interest in boys.

The handsome athlete says he will team up with his three sons – Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz – to make sure Harper is protected at all times.

In a video on his Facebook page, he said: “To have another girl in the family is really incredible. We’ve got three beautiful, healthy boys already and we’re so lucky to have that and now to have a beautiful little girl, it’s amazing.

“Having a daughter is a whole new thing. Having pink in the house and lilac in the house. And you have to be a lot more delicate with girls than with boys and I’m not used to that so it’s a whole new experience but it’s an amazing experience. To have that little bundle of joy and your hands and her making her little noises and opening her eyes – it really is an incredible moment for us.”

The British athlete – who wore the number seven on the back of his shirt for many years – also spoke about the reasons behind Harper’s name.

He said: “A lot of thought goes into our children’s names and Harper was a name we’ve loved for a long time for a couple of reasons.

“One is them was because Harper is an old English name which we loved and one of the other reasons is because Victoria’s favourite book is ‘To Kill A Mockingbird’ and the author was Harper Lee. And it’s a very strong passionate book so that’s where Harper came from.

“And Seven is partly because of the shirt number I wore for many years because I had so much luck around wearing that number and it was such an influential number throughout my career and a lucky number but that wasn’t the main reason. The reason behind Seven is that it symbolises spiritual perfection and is a lucky number around the world. We love the name. We love Harper Seven and we’re very proud of having her in our family.”

Victoria Beckham wants to bring her new daughter up in America

The fashion designer – who gave birth to Harper Seven on Sunday (10.07.11) at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai hospital – wants to stay in the US with husband David and sons Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz rather than return to their native England so her “perfect family” can have a “great lifestyle” growing up in the sun.

The source said: “Victoria has told David she has never felt happier and that they now have the perfect family.

“She wants Harper to grow up in a place where she can have the amazing childhood the boys have had.

“Where they live now, they can play on the beach at the weekend, swim outdoors every day and have a great lifestyle growing up in the sunshine.”

The couple moved to Los Angles in 2007 when David signed for US soccer team LA Galaxy, but his contract at the club is set to run out at the end of next year and the 36-year-old hunk “hasn’t ruled out” playing abroad.

The naming of Harper Seven, who was born in Los Angeles on Sunday (10.07.11), is thought to have been largely influenced by her three brothers – Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz – who wanted to call their sister Harper Finkle, a character played by Jennifer Stone in TV show ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’.

Britain’s Prince William has wished David and Victoria Beckham “luck” with their new baby

The soccer star was without his fashion designer wife– who is due to give birth to the couple’s fourth child this week – at an intimate reception held for the prince and wife Duchess Catherine at British Consul-General Barbara Hay’s Los Angeles residence on Friday (08.07.11), but the royal couple told him not to worry about her absence.

David – who along with Victoria was a guest at William and Catherine’s wedding in April – told them: “Victoria really wanted to come but she is just so tired at the moment. She sent you both lots of love.”

The royal couple have already met with several celebrities since arriving in Los Angeles on Friday for their brief tour.

David Beckham — ‘Speeding Really Bad’ Before Crash

David Beckham was driving like a MANIAC before swerving into another lane at a dangerously high speed … and rear-ending a stalled vehicle earlier this month — this according to multiple 911 calls.

One caller — who claims she was driving behind David for several miles– reported that David was “driving recklessly” and “speeding really bad” before slamming into the stalled car on May 6.

Another caller claims David was “definitely speeding” — pulling in and out of the carpool lane … “breaking a couple traffic laws.”

As we previously reported, Beckham rear-ended another car with his Black Escalade … on one of the busiest highways in L.A. — and the other driver had to be taken to the hospital.

Beckham — whose son Brooklyn was in the car with him at the time — has not been arrested or cited.

A spokesman for Beckham tells us, “As unfortunate as accidents are, David was not cited by the police at the scene for any violations.”

David Beckham in Car Accident on LA Freeway

David Beckham was involved in a car accident on one of the busiest freeways in all of Los Angeles … and the driver of the other car had to be taken to a local hospital … TMZ has learned.

According to law enforcement sources, Beckham was driving on the 405 Freeway near Torrance, CA yesterday morning … when he rear-ended a gold Mitsubishi that was broken down in the carpool lane.

We’re told the driver of the Mistubishi had to be taken to the hospital, but Beckham did not require medical attention.

Law enforcement sources tell us Beckham was not arrested or cited on the scene.

A call to Beckham’s rep was not returned.

The soccer superstar and his pregnant wife Victoria have been invited to the nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton at London’s Westminster Abbey and David – who received an Order of the British Empire (OBE) from William’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth in 2003 – insists he is fiercely proud of Britain’s royal family.

He said: “I think a royal wedding, it’s amazing. It really is amazing. Our country needs it. Our country wants it. The British public love the royal family.

“I was brought up around the royal family and around loving the royal family with my granddad, with my nan.

“I took my nan and granddad to Buckingham Palace when I got my OBE. They were so proud. It means so much to them. My granddad served his country and they were so proud of that.

The fashion designer – who has children Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz with soccer star David Beckham – is currently considering names for her new baby, and has been inspired by the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Monica.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “Posh thinks Santa Beckham has a lovely ring to it and wants something unique.

“David prefers something traditional, but will probably go along with what she chooses.”

Meanwhile, 35-year-old David is planning a “fly” fashion line with for babies with rapper Snoop Dogg.

The 39-year-old star said: “I’d love to do a Babygro range with baby shoes with Beckham.

“It’s going to be fly. It’s great news they are having a baby.”

Snoop also revealed he wants David to rap on one of his new albums, and always gives the English sports star a copy of his music before it is complete.

He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Whenever I make a record I give him a copy before it’s done.

“She wants to be almost ironically over-the-top pink when it comes to dressing her daughter. And she doesn’t want a pink buggy. After doing loads of research, Victoria fell for the iCandy Apple pram in the grape colour and went about excitedly choosing accessories.

“She spent last Saturday (02.04.11) in Los Angeles going undercover in a big hat and sunglasses, rooting through top department stores and children’s shops, trying to locate her dream stroller.

“When she had no joy, she spent hours online, even going on eBay trying to find the right thing.

“Victoria was inconsolable and David spent much of the evening trying to cheer her up and find alternative options. But still Victoria has her heart set on the grape iCandy.”

Meanwhile, soccer star David has been spotted purchasing a selection of British goods from a specialist shop in Los Angeles, spending £200 on items including HP Sauce, Cadbury’s Flakes and Mr Kipling Cake Bars.

A regular at the store said: “This is where I always come when I feel homesick. I stock up on beans and brown sauce and Cadbury’s bars for snacks.

When we go to all their birthday parties, each of the kids writes handwritten thank you notes on their own headed paper. None of the other kids do.

The soccer superstar and his wife Victoria are expecting their fourth child – a confirmed daughter – later this year and their middle son is desperate to name the new arrival after his favourite pop star Justin Bieber.

During an appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, David said: “When we got told it was a boy, Romeo said, ‘How about Justin Bieber as a name? Justin Bieber Beckham?’

“So now we know it’s a girl, he said, ‘Well, how about Justine Bieber Beckham?’ ”

David says Romeo, eight, and his brothers, Brooklyn, 12, and Cruz, six, are huge fans of the 17-year-old singer and the youngest two boys met Justin after one of his concerts.

Speaking about their love of the ‘Baby’ hitmaker, the 35-year-old sportsman said: “The funny thing is, I was on the way to school drop off the other day and my youngest said, ‘Do you think we could have a play date with Justin Bieber?’ I said, ‘I think he’s a little bit busy.’ ”

The Los Angeles Galaxy player also revealed he and Victoria, 36, are thrilled they are having a girl, because the former Spice Girl was worried there was going to be “another penis” in the house after their first scan.

He revealed: “We’ve got three beautiful boys and we’re ecstatic to have another one on the way but when we first found out, we went for the scan and they said, ‘Oh, it’s a boy,’ and we were like ‘great’ but Victoria was like, ‘Ahh, another penis in the house.’

“She thinks there’s too many in the house already. So then we went back for the next scan and they said, ‘Oh, we think it’s a girl.’ So we were like, ‘Oh, OK, well, that’s amazing.’

“And then on the final scan they said it’s definitely a girl so, yeah, it’s incredible.”

David and Victoria Beckham are moving back to England

The couple – who are currently expecting their fourth child, a girl, together – are said to be planning a return home when the soccer star’s contract with his current club Los Angeles Galaxy runs out at the end of the year.

A source said: “David and Victoria have made a real go of living in America and it’s become a second home to them.

“They love Los Angeles and will always have a base there. But David’s contract will run out soon and they’ve started thinking about the future. He’s keen to finish his career at an English club if possible, though he hasn’t ruled out other options.

“Victoria is torn because she’s made so many friends in California and loves the lifestyle, but she misses her family in the UK a lot.”

One reason behind their move back to the UK is the couple’s desire to have their sons Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz educated in England, with Victoria, 36, reportedly making a visit to private day school Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys School earlier this week to discuss sending them there.

A source told the News of the World newspaper: “She hates the idea of them becoming stuck up and spoiled like a lot of American kids. And there’s a part of them both that would love to see their kids educated at a UK school while they are in their teens.”

David Beckham has a new tattoo depicting himself as Jesus

The British soccer ace – who already has a number of body art pieces including a topless depiction of his wife Victoria and an inscription of her name in Hindi – underwent two sessions over 12 hours to get the image, which includes three cherubs representing his sons Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight and Cruz, six.

David said: “It is Jesus being carried by three cherubs and obviously the cherubs are my boys and so my thought of it is that at some point my boys are going to need to look after me and that’s what they’re doing in the picture. It means a lot.” Discussing the tattoo – done by Los Angeles-based Mark Mahoney – David revealed he never plans to get the artwork done but often wakes up inspired with an idea.

He said: “I had it done before I left Los Angeles. I don’t plan on having a tattoo, just sometimes I wake up and I have an idea of an image I’d like on me. “It’s just something that I’ve found kind of expresses how I feel or thoughts I have or memories. There’s not one tattoo I’ve got on me that doesn’t mean something.”

The new image – which is placed on the left side of his chest – was initially started by an eight-hour session, and David thinks Mark did an “amazing” job. He said: “It was an 8-hour session which lasted until about 3 o’clock in the morning. I then went back a few weeks later and we did another 4 hours. It really is amazing.”

Fashion designer Victoria – who is currently pregnant with the couple’s fourth child – also has a number of tattoos, including an inscription on her back and a Roman numeral on her wrist.

David Beckham came to the aid of a stranded British motorist yesterday (09.02.11)

The soccer player stopped in the rain to help Paul Long and his two children when he spotted him trying to move his car off a busy main in Ware, Hertfordshire, South East England, after it broke down while Paul was on the school run.

Mr. Long told UK station BBC Radio 5 Live: “The car packed up as we approached a roundabout over the A10. After 10 minutes a car pulled over and a figure got out wearing a hoodie. As he got nearer it sort of slipped down and it became apparent it was David Beckham.

“He asked if we were OK and I said, ‘Could you give us a push to the side?’ which he did. Then he asked once again if we were OK and as he walked away, I said, ‘Thanks David, I really love you.’

“I could only see his car in the distance, it looked like an Audi but I could not be sure of that. It wasn’t flash.”

Soccer fan Mr. Long admitted he was surprised the 35-year-old superstar sportsman – whose house is situated near the A10 – would take the time to help out a stranger.

He said: “I have always admired him but I’m his biggest fan now, although I feel a bit stupid that I told him I loved him.

“He’s a genuinely top guy especially as he braved the rain to do what he did.”

David – who recently announced he and his wife Victoria are expecting their fourth child together – is currently training with English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspurs during the Major League Soccer league off-season but will return to his regular team Los Angeles Galaxy on February 24.

Victoria Beckham’s pregnancy has helped cure her acne

The former Spice Girls singer-turned-fashion designer – who has experienced skin problems since being a teenager – is delighted by the change in her appearance since falling pregnant with her fourth child.

A source close to the 36-year-old star – who is due to give birth in the summer – said: “Victoria has tried everything under the sun for her skin, yet nothing has worked as well as getting pregnant with her fourth baby. The hormones really suit her and she’s said this pregnancy has cleared up her spots!

“She has a pretty flush to her cheeks that wasn’t there before. It’s like a natural blusher. The texture of her skin is much smoother and any open pores seem to have closed up. She’s been drinking lots of water and eating fruit like kiwis and strawberries.”

As well as Victoria – who already has three sons, Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight, and five-year-old Cruz – being pleased with her skin, soccer star husband David Beckham, 35, thinks she is looking better than ever.

The source added: “David loves this healthy new glow. He thinks she’s sexier than ever.”
