Kim Kardashian was named Entrepreneur of the Year at last night’s (07.06.11) Glamour Women of the Year Awards

The 30-year-old socialite – who recently got engaged to basketball star boyfriend Kris Humphries – was joined by an array of stars at the event at London’s Berkley Square Gardens, including ‘Tamara Drewe’ actress Gemma Arterton, who took home the Film Actress of the Year prize.

Victoria Beckham – who is currently expecting her fourth child with husband David Beckham – was awarded Accessory Designer of the Year, while chart-topping singer Adele was given the UK Solo Artist of the Year gong.

Meanwhile, ‘Price Tag’ hitmaker Jessie J took home the coveted Woman of Tomorrow accolade, while ‘Transformers’ actress Rosie Huntington Whiteley was handed the Editor’s Special Award.

Elsewhere, British designer Sarah Burton – who created the lace wedding dress Princess Catherine wore to her April 29 nuptials with Prince William, as well as her sister Pippa Middleton’s silhouette-enhancing ivory bridesmaid dress – was named Designer of the Year.

Despite the awards recognising the achievements of women, ‘Country Strong’ actor Garrett Hedlund was given a prize, the coveted Man of the Year honour.

Hosted by British TV actor James Corden, the event also saw the likes of ‘Twilight’ actress Kristen Stewart, UK girl band The Saturdays and Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks – who was presented with the Outstanding Contribution Award by Rod Stewart – turn out to the star-studded event.

Dannii Minogue is hoping Santa Claus visits her baby son Ethan

The Australian beauty – who gave birth to the tot in July – is enjoying her first Christmas as a mother and can’t wait to see what Ethan gets in his stocking.

She tweeted: “One more sleep…Santa please don’t forget little Ethan…he has been a very good boy….night tweet peeps! (sic)”

While Dannii – whose sister is pop superstar Kylie Minogue – is wishing Santa brings Ethan lots of gifts, she recently revealed she is hoping to give her son a sibling in the near future.

The 39-year-old beauty – who is in a committed relationship with rugby player Kris Smith – said: “Kris wants a massive family! He’s bought the people carrier, it’s got seven seats and he keeps looking at me going, ‘OK, when are we going to fill that?’

“I think I need a bit more time to think about it! We’ll see what happens, but look, if we had more kids and they were all as calm and easy as Ethan, it would be magic. He’s such as good baby, I lucked out.”

Dannii Minogue “absolutely loves” breastfeeding

The Australian singer – who gave birth to Ethan, her first child with boyfriend Kris Smith five months ago – is amazed at how much she has enjoyed nursing the youngster and doesn’t want to give it up.

She said: “I love it. I absolutely love it. It’s the weirdest thing, because before I had the baby, when woman talked about breast feeding, I’d be a bit like, whatever, what’s the big deal? Do it or don’t right?

“But then you have the baby and every cell in your body is crying out to feed this baby. It’s an incredible thing. I don’t want to stop.”

Dannii was never particularly maternal until she met Kris and now she would love to have a sibling for Ethan.

She added: “I never thought I was very maternal, and I was always so busy with work, and a baby just seemed like something I was never going to do.

“For me, the baby idea came with meeting the right man. And now he’s here and he’s giggling and smiling, I’ve gone from being not bothered about being a mum to being quite keen to have a second baby.”

Dannii Minogue used to feel like she was merely Kylie’s “fat ugly sister”

The Australian beauty first came to the UK when her younger sibling was at the height of her success in the late 1980s – scoring eight top three hits in the country’s singles chart between 1988 and 1990 – and admits her experiences were damaging to her self esteem.

She said: “When I first came to England it was hard because it was Kyliemania. She was this cute little thing and I was the fat, ugly sister.

“Can you imagine for years being asked what it’s like to be Kylie’s sister?”

Although Dannii admitted she was made to feel “fat and ugly” she was still careful not to take any drastic measures after seeing one of her old friends almost die as a result of eating disorder anorexia nervosa.

She explained to Britain’s Marie Claire magazine: “I’d been very good friends with this girl since primary school. I distinctly remember going into a hospital room and seeing her lying there, strapped to the bed.

“I was just a young teenager and it was so horrendous. I watched my friend nearly die from anorexia. There was no headline that someone could write about me that would make me do that myself.”

Kylie Minogue gets criticised by her sister

The ‘Better Than Today’ singer wasn’t surprised when her sibling Dannii Minogue was asked to be a judge on UK TV pop star search show ‘The X Factor’ in 2007 because she has always been willing to give people an honest opinion.

She said: “Dannii is so honest, she’s perfect for ‘X Factor’. Before she was a judge on the show, she would come to my concerts and I always knew I was going to get a real opinion. Like she’d say, ‘Dancers two and five were off.’ She’d give me a list of things.”

Despite being willing to take criticism from her sister, Kylie admitted she can be a diva.

Asked if she ever requested her entourage call her ‘Ms. Minogue’, she told more! magazine: “Oh that’s a no. I need to be more of a diva. I promise I’ve got my diva stripes in other areas. I’ve had every possible hairdo ever.”

Dannii Minogue has given birth to a baby boy.

The singer-and-TV star – who moved back home to her native Australia to prepare for the birth of her first child with British boyfriend Kris Smith – delivered the tot in Melbourne on Monday (05.07.10).

The couple have named their son Ethan Edward Smith.

A statement released on behalf of Dannii, 38, and Kris, 31, said: “Kris Smith and Dannii Minogue are thrilled to announce the arrival of Ethan Edward Smith on 5 July 2010.

“Mother and baby are doing well and dad is very proud. They request their privacy at this special time to adjust as new parents.”

Dannii previously admitted she never saw a baby in her future until she got pregnant.

She said: “I just never thought it was something I would do. I had never been broody. No clock was ticking. And I would never have wanted to do it unless I was in the right relationship. He felt like ‘The One’.

“Kris loves me pregnant and that’s a big, big help. You do have hormonal days and I think if anything was said that left me thinking, ‘What did he mean by that?’ it might have got to me. But he is loving every minute of it.”

Dannii’s sister Kylie is expected to head home to Australia later this month to meet her nephew.

While Dannii has not taken part in the audition rounds for UK TV talent show ‘The X Factor‘ this year she is expected to return for the final auditions and the live shows alongside fellow judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole.

The X Factor judge – who is currently in Australia preparing for the birth of her first child with British boyfriend Kris Smith – claims she never saw a baby in her future until she became pregnant.

Simon Cowell’s fiancee wants him to hide his “protruding nipples”.

The music mogul – who is famed for his plain white T-shirts and high-waisted trousers – has allegedly been forced to take fashion advice from his make-up artist fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy because she’s fed of seeing his oversized ‘man boobs’ bulging out of his tight tops.

A source told the National Enquirer magazine: “Mezhgan started helping Simon pick out his clothes, and it’s made a huge difference. She detests those tight T-shirts he used to wear. She’s got great taste and, fortunately, it’s starting to rub off on Simon.”

Simon’s make-over is certainly set to be a hit with his friends.

Dannii Minogue, Simon’s fellow judge on UK TV talent show ‘The X Factor‘ has previously blasted his “uncool” and boring dress sense, and urged him to stop wearing T-shirts.

She said: “He’s letting the side down a bit. We just need him to ditch the boring trousers and T-shirts.

Dannii Minogue loves being short.

The Australian star – who is the new face of the British high street chain Marks and Spencer – recently had her first modelling assignment for the retailer and was amused to discover she was considerably smaller than the other stars, including singer V.V. Brown and models Twiggy and Lisa Snowdon.

She said: “It was like being back at school in grade photos: ‘All the smaller kids down the front!’ Twiggy kindly wore flats and I still rocked a wedge or a high stiletto to try and keep up.

“Minogue genes are good for lots of travel on aeroplanes, you can snuggle into a seat – but vertically, I always need some help!”

Despite not having the height, Dannii – who is currently pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Kris Smith – admitted the other models quickly put her at ease and she is now a bigger fan of 60s icon Twiggy than ever.

She said: “I have to say I was in awe of meeting Twiggy! I was so nervous when I had my first photo shoot with her – just my own insecurities – but as expected she was adorable and made me feel at ease straight away, what a gorgeous woman. I now love her even more, if that is possible.”

Dannii Minogue

The 38-year-old Australian singer – who announced earlier this month she is expecting her first child – was stunned when doctors warned she would struggle to conceive, but tried to pretend she didn’t care her biological clock was ticking down.

She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “A while ago I went to my doctor for a check-up and he told me I’d got to the stage in my life where I’d have to make decisions about having children.

“I remember thinking, ‘Oh God. I’m now that person who is getting too old to have kids.’

“I told him it wasn’t an issue for me because I didn’t have a man, there was no one on the horizon, and there probably never would be.”

Things turned around for Dannii in 2008 when she met British ex-rugby player Kris Smith, 31, while holidaying in Ibiza.

The star – who currently splits her time between Australia and the UK – says Kris is a calming influence on her anxious nature, but admits they are currently having problems deciding where to raise their child, with the model applying for citizenship in her home country.

She added: “Kris is so completely broody. I’m totally in a panic about everything – babies, living together and working miles apart. It all seems so complicated.

“I am exploding with happiness. But, hey, it’s wonderful to have problems caused by being completely in love.

“My life has been turned upside down, inside out and everything. I mean everything is fresh and new and exciting.”

he 80s pop band – who are best known for their song ‘When Will I Be Famous?’ – are planning to do a one-off concert at London’s O2 Arena.

Luke Goss – who was joined in the group by twin brother Matt and third member Craig Logan – said: “We want to do a show, somewhere like the O2, and then say, ‘Thanks a lot, see ya!’

“If I can find a bunch of people – and Matt and I can see eye-to-eye with them on things we want to do – then, yes, we’re doing it.”

Luke, 41, is adamant the reunion will not be a permanent one.

He added: “We’d do a show that was amazing. I want it to stand up today. I don’t want it to be a nostalgia-only driven thing.”

Since the band split in 1992, Luke become an actor and has starred in several films including ‘Blade II’.

Matt continued to release music and also appeared on UK reality TV show ‘Hell’s Kitchen’, while Craig, who was once engaged to Dannii Minogue, is now the boss of a record label.

He left the band in 1989 and sued for unpaid royalties, later receiving £1 million.

The rapper issued a come and get me plea to Simon last week to be a judge on UK TV talent show ‘The X Factor’ and now the music mogul says he would be delighted to welcome Eminem onto the panel.

Simon said: “It would be great to have him on as a guest judge.

“Em – I can call him that because we are on first name terms – the job is yours.”

However, Simon insisted he won’t alter the line-up and drop any of the current judges – Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole, Australian singer Dannii Minogue, the sister of Kylie Minogue, and music manager Louis Walsh – to make room for the ‘We Made You’ star.

He added: “I’m not getting rid of anyone.”

Eminem, 37, said last week he doesn’t think the current panellists have been successful enough to help the acts.

He said: “No disrespect to the current judges but you need people who are global, platinum-selling stars. You need to prepare contestants for what it’s really like out there, and what sort of pressure you are going to be under.

“So much average talent comes out of these reality shows. A hip-hop star will never win a show like the ‘X Factor’ without somebody like me on the panel. It needs somebody in power to open a door for them.”

The 38-year-old star admitted she is still unwilling to have a baby, although model Kris Smith is desperately trying to change her mind – but the Australian singer insists the only way she will agree is if he takes on all parenting duties.

Speaking at the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women Awards, where she was named Ultimate TV Personality last night (11.11.09), Dannii told BANG Showbiz:  “He’s very keen to be a dad and I’m taking some convincing. I said, ‘If you can have the baby then fine.’ If he does everything basically then maybe.”

She later credited Kris for her happiness and recent successes, saying: ”When you’re having a good time both at work and in your love life, I guess it shows on your face. And it shows even more given that it follows on from some difficult situations last year. You get into a black hole, thinking nothing will ever be the same and you’ll never be happy again, but then good things happen and you finally re-emerge.

“I’m amazed at my own good fortune, and so grateful for it. I feel euphoric.”

Dannii has previously spoken about how she felt she was too busy to have children.

She said: “I never thought I’d be the sort of girl to have kids, it’s not really in my make up. But you never know.”

The Australian singer says she was forced to strip off for the men’s magazine because she owed £150,000 and was too proud to ask her pop star sister Kylie to help her financially.

She said: “Kylie knew why I was doing it. I could have asked her for the money, but it wasn’t in my nature.

“I never wanted to admit the trouble I was in. I should have been looking at my finances.”

Dannii appeared on the cover of Playboy in October 1995. The magazine sold out in less than four days and became one of the best-selling Australian editions.

However, the 38-year-old beauty admits it was difficult for her to go against her father Ron and mother Carol’s wishes.

She explained: “My parents didn’t want me to do it. My dad was saying, ‘Doing this is forever – you can never, ever change it.’

“I would never disclose how much I was paid – but it had to be a lot to look at my parents’ faces and see the anguish in my dad’s eyes.”

Despite the upset it caused her father, Dannii – who had divorced husband Julian McMahon earlier that year – felt “liberated” by the experience.

She said: “I don’t regret it, but I feel relieved that people know why I did it – it’s a huge weight off my shoulders.

“It was actually fun and I did feel liberated. I looked at the pictures and thought, ‘I look all right!’ “

Dannii broke down in tears as she spoke with TV talk show host Piers Morgan about her financial problems and also 41-year-old Kylie’s battle with breast cancer.

Speaking about supporting the ‘Wow’ hitmaker – who was diagnosed with the disease in 2005 – Dannii added: “You just go to another depth. You find strength within yourself that you never knew you had because you never needed it before.

“The proper one is the five-year all-clear and we’re not there yet. She’s been so strong. In my head it’s not going to come back, that’s just not going to happen.”
