Robert’s — Crystals

Robert Downey Jr. employs a “crystal man” to repel negative forces around him
The 45-year-old actor – who battled drug addiction for several years and was even jailed because of his habit – thinks having someone on the set of ‘Sherlock Holmes 2‘ to carry special crystals help “repent his soul” for the damage he did to his body when he was hooked on heroin ,cocaine and crystal meth.
A source told BANG Showbiz: “This guy dressed all in white has been following Robert around with a briefcase ever since filming began. After a couple of weeks, one of the crew members thought it was a bit weird and asked him what he was doing.
“He explained the briefcase contained a set of crystals which apparently channel good energy from a pyramid in Los Angeles. Robert demands they go everywhere with him to help repent his soul for all the damage he did to his body when he was on drugs.”
Downey was jailed for three years in 1999 for heroin, cocaine and possession of a handgun. The actor – who stars opposite Jude Law and Rachel McAdams in ‘Sherlock Holmes’ – told the judge who sentenced him that he had been addicted to drugs since the age of eight.
The ‘Iron Man‘ star – who has been sober since 2001 – has previously insisted he wasn’t changed by prison. He said: “I do think there’s something divine about large-scale humiliation, but no, it never worked for me. It never produced enough of a blow back for me to catch the drift. It doesn’t so much produce results as just get your attention – you become a fish in a barrel and there’s really something quite beautiful about that.
“Jail didn’t help me any more or less than anything else. But I know I created that experience for a reason, and I’m only just starting to understand those reasons. Remember this is California, ‘Come on vacation, leave on probation.’ I mean, I can’t believe I stayed out of
the pen for as long as I did.”

Lindsay Lohan — Rehab for Meth and Bipolar Disorder
TMZ has learned Lindsay Lohan will be treated for addiction to methamphethamine and bipolar disorder during her court ordered 90 days in rehab.
According to a source familiar with Lindsay’s case, methamphetamine and opiates are her “drugs of choice”.
Methamphetamine — also known as crystal meth or simply meth — is a highly addictive stimulant and opiates, generally, have more of a downer effect.
Morningside Recovery — the Orange County, CA rehab Lilo’s scheduled to enter — lists opiate and methamphetamine detoxification among its specialties. As TMZ first reported, sources say Morningside was not on the list of facilities recommended by court appointed psychiatrists.
We’re told Lindsay will begin her rehab stint almost immediately after getting out of Lynwood Correctional Facility.

Is Sir Elton John Secretly Shy ?
by Alice on Feb.27, 2010, under Singer

Singer Rufus Wainwright – who sought guidance from the ‘Rocket Man’ hitmaker in 2000 when he was struggling with an addiction to crystal meth – claimed the flamboyant star is very quiet away from his public persona and has little belief in his own abilities.
He said: “I don’t think people are aware of how shy he is. He’s a bit like the Wizard of Oz. On the one hand there’s this big pomp and circumstance, but really beneath it all there’s this very sweet little guy who’s constantly feeling very insignificant, which is ironic of course. What I’m saying is, he’s quite shy.”
While the 36-year-old star claims it was Elton who persuaded him to seek therapy for drug addiction, his problems got so bad, he even temporarily went blind.
Rufus added to Q magazine: “I lost my sight for one or two hours. I can’t quite gauge it exactly. During that period of losing my sight, I was also losing my mind. I could feel my sanity lifting off, and I wasn’t sure it would come back again. But it did and thankfully I’m still here today.”

Boy George Says His Life Has Improved “100 per cent” After Giving Up Drugs
by Alice on Nov.27, 2009, under Artist, Music, Singer

The ‘Do You Really Want To Hurt Me’ singer – who was released from prison in May after serving four months of a 15-month sentence for assault and false imprisonment of a male escort – has vowed never to touch illegal substances again after attending regular Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
He said: “I was like, I don’t need it. I’m fine. I’d been to one in the 80s and I just thought they were all weirdos, which is a common get out clause for anyone in denial but I went to one.
“Since that day, my life has improved more than 100 per cent.”
The 48-year-old singer also spoke about his time in prison, saying it helped with his battle to stay clean, rather than turning him back to drugs.
He added to Attitude magazine: “I went in with all the tools you learn in Narcotics Anonymous about resilience and surrender.
“I went to NA meetings inside, the first week in Pentonville. Oh my God, I was horrified.”
George has met men with different addictions at the meetings and fears drug use is spiralling out of control in the UK.
He added: “I’m seeing guys coming in who’ve been using crystal meth and there is a potential for that to be an epidemic.
“It’s scary and it’s starting to become popular here. People need to block out their feelings and the question is, why do we hate ourselves so much”
