David Arquette was cheered on by Courteney Cox and their daughter during his ‘Dancing with the Stars’ debut last night (19.09.11)

The 40-year-old actor – who split with the former ‘Friends’ star after 11 years of marriage in October 2010 – was spurred on by estranged wife and Coco, seven, who cheered him on from the front row as he hit the dancefloor with professional partner Kym Johnson.

Performing a Viennese waltz, David and Kym received a standing ovation from the audience and a whole host of compliments from the show’s judging panel, made up of Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.

Len said: “I was very impressed. You’re a dancer.”

Following the routine, David – who received a score of 18 for his moves – said of daughter Coco: “She’s just so beautiful. She’s the love of my life.”

Meanwhile, Cher’s son Chaz Bono – who was born a female named Chastity and began gender reassignment surgery around three years ago – received equally positive comments from the judges on the debut night of ‘Dancing with the Stars’, attaining a score of 17.

Dubbed “Razzmataz Chaz” by Len, Bruno added: “So cuddly and cute. Great, great debut, Chaz. You should be proud.”

Kim and Khloe Kardashian were also in the audience cheering on brother Rob and his partner Cheryl Burke as they performed a waltz.

Iraq war veteran J.R. Martinez and singer Chynna Phillips jointly topped the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ leaderboard with a score of 22 apiece.

David Arquette is reportedly set to compete on ‘Dancing with the Stars’

The 39-year-old actor – who separated from wife Courteney Cox last year – will take to the dancefloor in the celebrity contest with professional dancer Kym Johnson, gossip website TMZ has claimed.

Programme chiefs will officially unveil the line up for the new season next week, but several stars have already been linked with the show.

Among those who may be competing to be crowned champion are reality TV star Rob Kardashian, singers Nick Jonas, Queen Latifiah and Christina Milian, veteran presenter Regis Philbin, troubled actress Lindsay Lohan and her mother Dina, George Clooney’s ex-girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis and basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal

One person who won’t be taking part is ‘Jersey Shore’ star Snooki, who recently took to her twitter page to shot down speculation she was training for the show.

She wrote: “I love watching ‘Dancing with the Stars’ but I am not apart of the cast ! Sorry Tweedos (sic)”

It was recently revealed the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ set has had a $3 million makeover ahead of the new season, including triple-tiered balcony-style seating for the audience and a staircase in the middle of the stage, which can split into two halves to reveal the orchestra pit.

Producers are also said to be “very excited” about the changes, which also encompass the dancefloor, which will be made into an elevated platform.

Courteney Cox and David Arquette are back together – to work on a new game show

The estranged married couple – who announced a trial separation last year – have jointly sold a pilot called ‘Identity Crisis’ to CBS.

The programme requires contestants to identify celebrities based on a number of clues and is based on a board game.

Courteney and David are acting as executive producers on the show and if the pilot is well received then a full series will be commissioned.

The game show is the third TV project the pair have worked on together, following ‘Dirt’ and ‘Cougar Town’ – both of which starred the former ‘Friends’ actress and were produced by their company Coquette Productions.

Although they have maintained a working relationship and have remained on good terms since their split, David recently admitted he is unsure if he and Courteney will ever reconcile.

The 39-year-old actor – who has a six-year-old daughter Coco with the 46-year-old screen star – said: “I really don’t know what’s going to happen. It’s up in the air. But we really love each other and we’re great parents together and we have a business together. We’re both figuring out a lot about our lives at the moment and our personalities and what we need to feel more complete.”

Courteney Cox thinks she and David Arquette were an “odd pairing”

The 46-year-old actress – who agreed to a trial separation with her husband last October after 11 years of marriage – claims the pair are not a perfect match for one another, much like their ‘Scream 4’ characters Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers-Riley.

When asked about Gale’s relationship with Dewey in the horror movie, Courteney explained: “I love her relationship with David’s character Dewey and the fact that they’re together is so funny. He’s so earnest and she’s so out to get ahead.

“It’s just a very odd pairing and so were we. Although we’re not really, but we kind of are.”

The 46-year-old actress admits working on the film helped to bring the pair closer again, thanks to director-and-producer Wes Craven, who is the couple’s “relationship mentor”.

Courteney added to Britain’s OK! magazine: “Wes was instrumental in us being together. He’s kind of our mentor in relationships and in growing up.

“To get the chance to come back and do it again is just really fun.”

She said: “He told everyone, ‘Oh yeah I tried to hit on Courteney in Disney World,’ and I was like, ‘Dude that’s not really for everyone to know.’

“He did try to hit on me, he hit pretty hard and I said, ‘You don’t have the fast pass right now – not for that ride! He’s something else… we are separated and David is sober now.”

Despite David hitting on her, Courteney insists the trip was a success and they are getting along very well.

She told US TV talk show host David Letterman: “We are getting along great, it’s kind of the best we have ever been… we were just in Disney World, we were talking and we were laughing so hard because we are so close now and being real and honest.”

Courteney Cox worries about getting older and not being a “hot young thing”

The 46-year-old actress – who recently announced a trial separation from her husband David Arquette after 11 years together – has days when she gets “down” on herself about her appearance.

She said: “Sometimes it’s a battle to accept you’re no longer the hot young thing. To realise you don’t attract people in the same way, it can be a bit sad.

“It’s nice to feel sexy, even if it’s only a matter of perception. There are days when I get out of bed and look in the mirror and think I look awful. I get down on myself. But other days I get up and I feel happy.”

Courteney has also played down suggestions she and David will definitely divorce, insisting they both need some time to assess their relationship.

But she is adamant they are both totally committed to raising their six-year-old daughter Coco.

She added in an interview with OK! magazine: “We are trying to get some perspective, we have to take time to work things out for ourselves. I want to be as calm and together as I can be.

“We want to be close and harmonious for Coco. She needs to know we still love her and we still love each other, but right now we can’t all be together the way we were before. We’ve still been having dinner together and making this as easy for her as we can.”

David Arquette Jokes About His Split

David Arquette sure has a great sense of humor about his recent split from Courteney Cox.

On Friday night, at an intimate screening he hosted at Hollywood’s Roosevelt Hotel — the venue for the upcoming David Arquette Presents Beacher’s Madhouse — for the new Terry Gilliam-directed short film “The Legend of Hallowdega,” in which Arquette stars opposite Justin Kirk, he made a couple of subtle jokes about the split.

At the screening, presented by AMP Energy Juice, Arquette was introduced by his business partner Jeff Beacher on a stage in the hotel’s new subterranean space. Arquette told the small crowd, laughing coyly and looking at Beacher, “It was filmed in Alabama…um, where my wife’s from.” That elicited laughing and snickering from the audience, as well as Arquette himself and Beacher.

Then, later on during his introduction, Arquette mentioned that while in Alabama, he came in contact with a town called Anniston (think Cox’s BFF Jennifer Aniston), saying, “I should have known that would be an omen.” Again, he and Beacher, along with the audience got a good laugh.

It’s been a little more than a week since Courteney Cox and David Arquette announced their split, and the funnyman actor is “throwing himself” into his new wacky project, since he’s finding it therapeutic and is enjoying being “unleashed,” a well-placed source tells TooFab.

Arquette has teamed up with comedian Jeff Beacher for “David Arquette Presents: Beacher’s Madhouse,” a five-year, $25 million project at Hollywood’s famed Roosevelt Hotel debuting soon, which will include contortionists, fire-breathers, dwarves, burlesque dancers and go-go girls. “He’s throwing himself into the project,” the source tells TooFab. “He’s using it as therapy, post-split. He’s really been using it to keep him busy.”

Arquette is also letting his creativity run wild—something the source says he couldn’t do while with Cox. “He’s also using it to show his talent, and to be his own man,” says the source. “Being with Courteney wasn’t good for him. She had him on a leash. He was a robot. He couldn’t be as wild. He’s starting to realize that now. David Arquette has “shared too much” information about his split from Courteney Cox Arquette this week

The 39-year-old actor – who announced his separation from the ‘Cougar Town’ star after 11 years of marriage earlier this week – has apologised for being too honest on Howard Stern’s radio show in which he revealed Courteney had gotten tired of being a “mother” to him.

He wrote on his twitter page: “Thank you all for your love and support at this time. I’m trying figuring out how to be the best person I can be, but it’s been a process of trial and error.

“I went on Howard Stern to provide clarity and honesty about what I’m experiencing but while doing that I shared too much … it’s alright for me to be honest about my own feelings but in retrospect some of the information I provided involved others and for that I am sorry and humbled … Life is a process of spiritual evolution. (sic)”

The Hollywood star – who has a six-year-old daughter Coco with Courteney – believes he and his estranged wife will become better people because of the split.

He tweeted: “I’m sure Courteney and myself will emerge from this painful time better people for what we’ve learned.”

However, Courteney, 46, is said to be unsurprised by David’s candid interview and doesn’t want to get caught up in any “ridiculousness”.

A source said: “She knows who David and what he’s like. She married him. All that he said, and how he said it, that’s David.

She’s barely a single woman … but Courteney Cox is already getting a $1 million offer to become the new face of a dating website … one that specializes in hooking cougars up with fresh meat.

TMZ has learned … just one day after it was announced that Courteney separated from David Arquette, CougarLife.com – a website that specializes in matching older women with younger men – mailed her a $1 million contract to become their official spokes-cougar.

We’re told CL believes Courteney’s personal “circumstances” — coupled with the fact that she stars in “Cougar Town” — make her the perfect candidate.

As far as the contract goes — Cox would be required to voice 12 radio ads, appear in 4 TV ads, and make at least 30 public appearances for the CL brand … all within the span of one year.

But there’s a catch — CL would reserve the right to fire Cox if she gets arrested or “conducts herself in a manner that brings herself into disrepute.”

So far no word on whether CC plans to sign.

Jennifer Aniston Allegedly Victim of Dangerous Stalker

TMZ has learned … Jennifer Aniston just got a restraining order against a man who was arrested after prowling around a place she frequents — and the man had a sharp object, duct tape and is considered violent.

According to the docs, Jason Peyton was found on July 15, “laying-in-wait in a location he believes she frequents with a ’sharp object, a bag, a roll of duct tape and written messages about [Aniston].”

Aniston’s lawyer says in the docs … Peyton spent 8 days trying to find her and when he was taken into custody cops found carved messages in the paint of his car saying, “I LOVE YOU JENNIFER ANISTON.”

According to the documents, obtained by TMZ, “Peyton is an obsessed, mentally ill and delusional stalker — with a history of violence and criminal stalking — who drove cross-country in his delusional ‘mission’ to locate and marry [Aniston], with whom he believes he is in a relationship.”

After being arrested, the 24-year-old Peyton was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold.

According to the restraining order, Peyton must stay 100 yards away from her home, places of work and vehicles.  Peyton must also stay clear of her employees, agents, managers and other reps.

The way cops found out Peyton was in L.A. looking for Aniston … he left a note for his dad on June 25 in Pennsylvania, stating he was going to California which his dad knew meant he was looking for Aniston, so the father gave cops a heads up.

As for Peyton’s violent past – it includes stabbing himself and hitting his mother with a golf club.

Peyton, who has been institutionalized before, was ordered to take antipsychotic drugs but authorities say he stopped taking them in March.

Peyton believes he’s related to Oprah, Nelson Mandela, Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez, Courteney Cox, Bill and Melinda Gates, President George Bush (both of them) and Donald Trump.

LAPD’s Threat Management Unit is involved in the case — translation, it’s serious.

‘Cougar Town’ executive producer Bill Lawrence said: “They didn’t want to play friends.

“Lisa plays a dermatologist who is a horrible, horrible person, but Courteney goes to her because she’s the best.

“The sight of them playing people who dislike each other intensely was very funny for me to watch.”

Lisa’s character Dr Amy Evans has a reputation as one of the best doctors in town with a very harsh manner.

The cameo scene sees Dr Evans inject Jules with Botox after prodding and pulling her face.

‘Cougar Town’ follows the story of Jules, a recently divorced 40-something who is looking for some excitement in her life.

Production on US comedy drama series ‘Cougar Town’ has been suspended to give the 45-year-old actress – who has a five-year-old daughter Coco with husband David Arquette – time off to deal with a personal problem.

Show representatives have so far refused to give out any further details.

A spokesperson for TV network ABC said: “We can confirm production on ‘Cougar Town’ has been temporarily shut down in order for Courteney to deal with a private family matter.”

Courteney stars as single mother Jules Cobb on the show and is also executive producer.

Courteney recently admitted she and David, 38, want to have more children before it is too late.

She said: “We’re not trying yet. We’re revving up the engines. I’m only ready because time’s a-ticking.
