Rihanna doesn’t expect to speak to Chris Brown ever again

The ‘What’s My Name’ hitmaker – who was assaulted by the 21-year-old singer, her then-boyfriend, in 2009 – explained while she recently had the terms of her five-year restraining order against the star relaxed, it doesn’t mean the pair will ever “make up”.

She said: “It doesn’t mean we’re gonna make up, or even talk again. It just means I didn’t want to object to the judge. We don’t have to talk again ever in my life. I just didn’t want to make it more difficult for him professionally.

“What he did to me was a personal thing. It had nothing to do with his career. Saying he has to be a hundred feet away from me, he can’t perform at awards shows, that definitely made it difficult for him. That was the only thing it was going to change, so I didn’t care.”

The 23-year-old singer also admitted while she has come to terms with the fact that she won’t be able to please everyone with the way she handled the situation, it was a “very vulnerable” time in her life and she didn’t want people to feel sorry for her.

Rihanna added to Rolling Stone magazine: “You can never please people. One minute I’m being too hard, and the next minute I’m a fool because I’m not being hard enough.

“I put my guard up so hard. I didn’t want people to see me cry. I didn’t want people to feel bad for me. It was a very vulnerable time in my life, and I refused to let that be the image. I wanted them to see me as, ‘I’m fine, I’m tough.’ I put that up until it felt real.”

Chris Brown — ABC Won’t Press Charges

Chris Brown has dodged a bullet after his alleged window-smashing meltdown at “Good Morning America” Tuesday — because network sources tell TMZ …. ABC has decided NOT to press charges.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the NYPD will not investigate the matter because there is no complaining victim.

That’s especially good news for CB — because he’s currently on probation for beating up Rihanna …
and could have faced prison time if the judge violated his probation on grounds he committed vandalism.

We’re told the judge will not violate Chris’ probation unless New York prosecutes him … and that’s not going to happen.

No word if Chris will pay for the broken window.

Chris Brown — Violent Outburst at ‘GMA’

Chris Brown exploded in rage behind the scenes at “Good Morning America” this morning … smashing a window and storming out without a shirt … sources tell TMZ … and it was triggered by on-air questions about the Rihanna incident.

ABC sources tell TMZ … Brown performed and was interviewed by Robin Roberts live from the Times Square studio when she began asking about the infamous incident.

Brown tried to redirect the questions to focus on his album — but Roberts continued to ask about Brown’s legal issues stemming from the Rihanna incident.

We’re told after the interview, Brown freaked out, storming into his dressing room and screaming so loud, the people in hair and makeup became alarmed and called security.

We’re told Brown was out of control, and one source present tells us he smashed a window in his dressing room, and the glass shattered and some shards fell onto 43rd and Broadway.

We’re told by the time security rushed the area, Brown had ripped off his shirt and left the building, blowing off another performance he was supposed to for the ABC website.

Remember — Brown is on probation for the felony beating and he’s required to obey all laws.

Rihanna has been exchanging saucy texts with Colin Farrell

The ‘Only Girl (In the World)‘ singer – who is currently single following her split from baseball star Matt Kemp in December – has reportedly been bombarding the Irish actor with mobile phone messages after the pair met on British TV host Graham Norton’s chat show shortly before Christmas.

An insider told The Sun newspaper: “Colin was taken aback by some of the texts. He thinks he might well be in there. They’re both single, so why not?”

On the show, the 34-year-old star admitted that he couldn’t take his mind off the Bajan beauty’s skimpy dress, which left only her “limbs” on show.

He said: “They are very nice limbs. There’s probably a reason I mentioned them, I had to get them off my mind.”

Colin – who has a 16-month-old son Henry with actress Alicja Bachleda-Curus and seven-year-old James with model Kim Bordenave – is now reportedly planning to meet up with Rihanna, 23, in Los Angeles whenever their hectic schedules allow.

Rihanna recently admitted she was keen to move on from her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown – who was convicted of assaulting her in February 2009 – but finds it “annoying” that people won’t stop asking her about the incident.

She tweeted: “People won’t stop askin abt it! Its f**kin annoying! Nobody wants to relive that, but some ppl can’t respect that!

“I get it, they wanna raise awareness to young girls! But it ends up just makin me look bitter, pitiful, spiteful and angry! (sic)”.

Rihanna has mended her long-running feud with her estranged father

The 22-year-old beauty – whose strained relationship with former drug addict Ronald Fenty for worsened after he spoke to the media about her assault at the hands of then-boyfriend Chris Brown in February 2009 – reconciled with her parent in her native Barbados over the festive period.

Ronald, 57, said: “I saw her twice before Christmas and she came to see me on Christmas Day (25.12.10). She showered me with gifts, a lot of stuff, many shirts and cologne. She’s always really generous.”

Though Ronald knows he can never be as close to the ‘Russian Roulette’ hitmaker as he once was, he is happy to be her “friend” again.

He said: “Maybe we’re not as close as we were when she was growing up here and was at school. But we are blood, we do not stay angry and we are friends again.”

Rihanna originally fell out with her dad after he turned up drunk to one of her shows and trashed her tour bus in 2008, and Ronald – who has now given up alcohol – admits he was not surprised by how he was treated in the immediate aftermath by his feisty daughter.

He explained to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “We did have a disagreement about the drinking on the tour. I got plastered on the tour bus. I can drink rum or beer but vodka does not like me – or gin.

“She blasted me for that – she was always lippy from her small days. I was picked up from the hotel in the morning and I was just shuttled to the airport.”

Rihanna has previously revealed her childhood was blighted by her dad Ronald’s drug problems and eventual split from her mother when she was 14.

Fire-fighters were called to a party thrown by P. Diddy after a model’s hair caught fire

The rap mogul was hosting a gathering in the penthouse of the London NYC hotel in New York on Tuesday night (14.12.10) when the bikini-clad beauty – who was in a bathtub – leaned over a candle and her set her hair alight.

Almost 200 people attended the event – which was originally intended for 20 people – and rapper Fabolous was the first to notice the flames according to P. Diddy’s associate Kevin Hart.

He told the New York Post newspaper: “Fab was the first person to see the fire. We put it out as quick as we could, I can honestly say.”

The unnamed model quickly dunked her head in the water but not before Fabolous took a picture and posted it on his twitter page.

He then tweeted a series of messages poking fun at the girl he has nicknamed ‘ShortyInTheTub’.

He wrote: “#ShortyInTheTubGot mad at me cuz I said I was a Heat fan.. Smh..#HotHeaded”, ”#ShortyInTheTubGot her Fire Marshall Bill on!! *smokin head*#LemmeShowYouSomethin” and “Somebody ask if #ShortyInTheTubGot a light. (sic)”

P. Diddy later tried to reassure the other revellers that everything was OK after the firefighters left.

He said: “The Fire Department just left upstairs. It’s crazy, but everything is under control.”

The rapper – real name Sean Combs – later posted a link to video footage of the incident on his twitter saying: “check it out>>its about to be the bathtub scene!! Lol (sic)”

Other celebrities who attended the event include Usher, Chris Brown and Alicia Keys’ husband Swizz Beatz.

Rihanna is annoyed she didn’t realise she was in an abusive relationship

The singer was assaulted by then-boyfriend Chris Brown in February 2009, and though they split following the attack, they briefly reconciled and now the ‘Only Girl (In The World)’ hitmaker admits she can’t believe she didn’t end the relationship sooner.

She said: “It was a situation I always told myself I would never allow myself to be in. It’s something I would force girlfriends to get out of. But there I was, sitting in it.

“I witnessed physical abuse happening to my mum and I always said I would never let that happen to me, and then it was happening to me.

“Now, when I look back at it, it just bugs me out that I couldn’t see it for what it was.”

Despite the shocking attack, Rihanna – who is now dating baseball star Matt Kemp – insists she never wanted people to pity her and hates the fact her personal problems became public knowledge.

She told Britain’s GQ magazine: “Before that, I was just a little girl from the island, singing pop music. It was easy to think I was shallow I had everything. It seemed like I had no problems in the world.

“And all of a sudden, boom! Everybody realises I do have problems. I have too much pride. I would rather put on a face. I would never let anyone see me cry. And I’m not like, ‘Please cry for me, I’ve been in a bad relationship.’ I hate that you know that and I don’t want you to remember me for that.

“That’s the defensive part of me. Even if I feel really bad about a situation, I put up that wall so hard that I almost believe myself that I don’t care.”

Eminem leads the 2011 Grammy nominations, with nods in 10 categories

The ‘Not Afraid’ rapper is in the running for some of the most prestigious prizes at the annual ceremony, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record Of The Year.

Singer-and-songwriter Bruno Mars got the second most nominations when they were announced last night (01.12.10) with seven, while Lady Gaga, rapper Jay-Z and country act Lady Antebellum all scored six.

Bruno – who, among his nominations, is up for Best Male Pop Vocal for his hit ‘Just the Way You Are’ – said: “It’s just been a great year, incredible, incredible year, and I can’t believe this is happening to me.

“We’ve worked so hard trying to make a living doing music and the fact that we’re here right now is incredible, incredible.”

Another track co-written by Bruno – Cee Lo Green’s ‘F**k You’ – was nominated for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year, and Cee Lo said he never realised the track, which was edited to ‘Forget You’ for the radio, would be such a hit.

He said: “It wasn’t meant to be a radio song. It was meant to be something with flair and first impression and it really took on a life of its own, and I had no idea it would become what it is today.”

In the Best Newcomer category, Justin Bieber found himself nominated alongside his fellow Canadian, rapper Drake.

He told LL Cool J – who hosted the nominations show at Club Nokia in Los Angeles: “It feels amazing – I can’t believe I’m in this position! I don’t know what to say!”

Among the performers at the nominations show were Katy Perry - who opened proceedings with ‘California Gurls’ - Justin Bieber, rapper B.o.B and indie group Train.

The 53rd Grammy Awards will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on 13 February 2011.

Robert Pattinson has been named the world’s sexiest man

The ‘Twilight‘ hunk has topped Glamour’s 50 Sexiest Men poll for the second year running, after fighting off stiff competition from other actors starring in vampire-based productions.

The top five was dominated by ‘Twilight’ actors, with 18-year-old Taylor Lautner – who plays Jacob Black, the werewolf love rival to Robert’s character Edward Cullen in the hit film franchise –in second place, and Xavier Samuel and Kellan Lutz placed fourth and fifth respectively.

The hunky trio were rivalled by ‘The Vampire Diaries’ star Ian Somerhalder, who was voted third in the survey, proving that women can’t get enough of men with fangs.

Glamour’s acting editor Charlotte Duck said: “Women are attracted to vampires because of the element of danger that comes with them. They are the ultimate bad boys – and women want to tame the beasts.”

The list – which was compiled from over 50,000 votes by readers of Glamour.com – also included many shocks, with many attractive stars being placed further down the list than in previous years.

Johnny Depp dropped from second place to sixth, while soccer star David Beckham slipped from fourth down to 21st.

Hollywood legend George Clooney only reached position 35 on the list, while Leonardo DiCaprio, Keanu Reeves and Jude Law- who have scored highly in the survey in recent years – did not even feature.

Chris Brown to Perform at Unofficial MJ Memorial

Chris Brown is scheduled to make a surprise performance at the mysterious unauthorized Michael Jackson memorial in Beverly Hills tomorrow … TMZ has learned.

According to multiple sources, Brown — who is not billed to appear — will perform at least one song … it’s unclear if it’s an original or if he’ll cover an MJ classic.

As we first reported, the unauthorized “Forever Michael” memorial — scheduled to go down at the Beverly Hilton – was never approved by the Jackson estate … yet for some strange reason, Katherine Jackson has given promoters her blessing.

Also set to perform — one of Joe Jackson’s business partners … and you can guess who probably made that deal.

Justin Bieber has been nominated for a Black Entertainment Television (BET) award.

The 16-year-old singer’s speedy rise to super-stardom, aided by R&B star Usher, has earned him a nod in the Best New Artist category at the upcoming ceremony, because he’s thought of as a “crossover” artist.

Stephen Hill, BET’s President of Music Programming and Specials, said: “Bieber has crossed the colour boundaries the same way that hip-hop has crossed the boundaries the other way for a number of years. He’s had rhythm in his music. He makes the type of music our audience likes.”

The awards – which generally only recognise black entertainers, singers, actors and athletes – will see Justin battle it out against fellow rising stars Nicki Minaj, B.o.B, Young Money and Melanie Fiona.

Rapper Jay-Z has the most nominations with five and will compete with wife Beyonce Knowles for Video of the Year, Best Collaboration and the Viewers’ Choice accolade.

Other nominees include Alicia Keys, Rihanna and Kanye West.

Queen Latifah is set to present the ceremony which will air live on June 27 from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Chris Brown is going before a judge this AM, and TMZ has learned the probation department where he’s doing his hard labor is mighty impressed.

Brown and his famous lawyer, Mark Geragos, should get kudos from the judge, because we’re told the probation report shows Brown is in full compliance — after copping a felony plea for beating Rihanna.

We’re told Brown will be done with his hard labor in 6 months.

Rihanna wants to collaborate with La Roux.

The ‘Umbrella’ hitmaker – who was assaulted by then-boyfriend Chris Brown last February – was keen to record a track with the duo’s singer Elly Jackson, but the British star admits she is still waiting to be approached.

Elly said: “I’ve had three or four offers for collaborations in America. Big, big artists. Rihanna was very interested for a time. “That was weird. Despite never receiving the offer, Elly – who is joined in La Roux by producer Ben Langmaid – admits she would never have accepted it anyway. She added: “To be honest, do I really want to work with Rihanna? Not really. I’m more interested in what the phone call would be like.”

While the ‘In For The Kill’ singer is reluctant to work with Rihanna, she does have other collaborations lined up. The ‘Russian Roulette’ singer says her shy side is often mistaken for rudeness because she isn’t always open and chatty when she meets new people.

She told WPGC radio: “I don’t really open up to a lot of people, usually I go very quiet.

“If I don’t know someone often I don’t say very much, I observe and people think I am snooty because of that. People assume that I’m a b***h. But I don’t think that I am. I just don’t feel I have to be that enthusiastic if I don’t know who you are yet.”

But Rihanna hoped one good thing to come out of the incident was that her fans would be able to see that no one’s life is perfect.

She said: “Before, young girls thought my life was perfect. Now they realise it’s not. Nobody’s perfect. I’m living the same human life that they are, just with a more public career.

“The assault came at the end of an incredible year for me, career-wise. Now I kind of look back on it as the beginning of a new era, almost like it was a wake-up call for me. It was a massive turning point for me in my life.”

The ‘I Can Transform Ya’ singer – who was convicted of assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna in February, leaving her covered in cuts and bruises – has posted angry messages on his twitter account blasting stores who refuse to sell his LP ‘Graffiti’.

He wrote: “I’m tired of this s**t. major stores are blackballing my CD. Not stocking the shelves and lying to customers. what the f**k do I gotta do? (sic)”

He later added: “WTF… yeah I said it and I aint retracting s**t.

“I’m not biting my tongue about s**t else… The industry can kiss my a*s. (sic)”

Chris, 20, has received widespread criticism for his attack on Rihanna, 21, following a pre-Grammy Awards party.

He was found guilty of the assault and ordered to carry out 80 hours of community labour, undergo 12 months of domestic violence counselling and received five years probation for the incident. He also has to stay at least 100 yards away from Rihanna for the next five years.

Since the attack, Chris vowed to “learn from” his behaviour.

He said: “Domestic violence is totally wrong whatever the circumstances, no exceptions.

“I’m only 20. This is a bad mistake I made, but one that I’m not denying nor running away from. I don’t believe I should let it shatter my life.

“I’m owning up to the wrongs I’ve done and am working on myself. I’m trying to find the positive amid the negative. I’m urging people to learn from what I did and not take the same route. If I do that – act as an example – then I feel I have no reason to go through the rest of my life with my head hanging down.”

She said: “I hid out for a while, but that just drove me crazy. I got cabin fever. I was ready to make music again. It was a hard time, but I found peace in the studio.”
