Kim Kardashian is to date a British soccer player.

The US socialite – who recently split from American footballer Reggie Bush – met Manchester City star Wayne Bridge in a Miami nightclub a few weeks ago and, after communicating regularly by text message, the brunette beauty now plans to go out with him when she flies to London next week.

Wayne, 29, was in Florida trying to escape the attention he was receiving following revelations his ex-girlfriend Vanessa Perroncel had had a relationship with his friend and former Chelsea teammate John Terry.

A source said: “They met while Wayne was cheering himself up on a boys’ night out and got on like a house on fire.

“They exchanged texts, have been in touch ever since and will be hooking up when Kim comes to the UK.

“It’s early days but she’s certainly put a smile back on Wayne’s face as she’s great fun and absolutely gorgeous. He’s looking forward to catching up when she’s in town.”

Kim, 29, was still dating 25-year-old Reggie when she met the soccer star, but pals believe she already knew her relationship was on the rocks.

Another source told The Sun newspaper: “Kim was still with Reggie when she met Wayne, but I think she knew things were ending because they swapped numbers.”

Meanwhile, Kim and her family – including sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, her mother Kris Jenner and stepfather Bruce Jenner – were delighted to be featured in adult animated comedy ‘South Park’ this week, despite seeing themselves killed off.

Kim wrote on her blog: “We were all dying when we saw this clip from ‘South Park’ that aired last night… literally, LOL. They killed us all!!!

“Khloe, Kourt, Bruce, mom and me!! I managed to survive the longest… of course! (sic)”

She also thanked the show’s creators for featuring her in the programme.

She added: “Thanks Trey Parker and Matt Stone… we’re honoured!”

Cheryl Cole threw her husband out of their house after only 20 minutes on Friday (12.03.10)

Soccer star Ashley Cole had flown to the UK for the first meeting with his pop star wife after he is alleged to have cheated on her with a string of women – but she reportedly refused to speak to him or even let him in the same room as her while he collected his belongings before her mother, Joan, told him to leave.
Ashley had previously been in the South of France where he was recovering from a broken ankle in a bid to get fit in time to play for England in this year’s World Cup tournament. He landed back in the UK on Friday – flying back in his club’s owner’s private jet – before going directly to the house, giving Cheryl little notice of his intention to see her.
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Cheryl was furious that he just turned up and was even more angry when he thought they would be able to talk.
“She’s going to talk to him on her terms when she wants to. She was livid that he turned up at the house with hardly any warning.”
Ashley then spent the night at the house of a friend who lives near to the grounds of his London team, Chelsea. Officials at the club are said to be worried about the player’s wellbeing.
A source said: “He was visibly upset, and we were shocked at his appearance. He’s a complete state and in a bad way. He was dishevelled, which is unusual for him. It was as if he didn’t care about how he looks any more.
“He also looked very gaunt. It was obvious he’s lost a lot of weight and hasn’t been looking after himself.”
Earlier this week, Ashley had reportedly been confident of a reconciliation, and told friends about how he and Cheryl would get back together.
A source said: “Ashley’s been very cocky about the whole situation– bragging they’ll be back together soon. Ashley says he thinks there will be a proper separation for three to six months and hopefully that will be long enough for Cheryl to get things clear in her head.
“Then he hopes the pair will be able to mend their marriage. As far as Ashley’s concerned this will not end in divorce.”
Meanwhile ‘Parachute’ singer Cheryl cancelled all her publicity engagements this week, including TV and radio appearances after being taken ill with Bronchitis.

The ‘Fight For This Love’ singer is married to Chelsea soccer star Ashley Cole and he leaves her for a few hours because he has to train on Christmas Day (25.12.09) for his match on Boxing Day (26.12.09).

The Girls Aloud star said: “He spends Christmas on the training ground. It’s not very romantic. He opens his presents and then goes off to his training happy.”

The 26-year-old singer is planning a traditional Christmas with Ashley and her family and is looking forward to well-earned festive break after launching her solo career and judging UK TV talent show ‘The X Factor’ in 2009.

She said: “I just want to spend Christmas with my family and my dogs. Then maybe go somewhere sunny.”

The U2 rocker – who is worth an estimated £400 million – says he devotes so much of his time to charitable projects because he believes he has more money than he deserves to have.

Speaking at the launch of Nike’s Lace Up. Save Lives campaign, which raises money for HIV charity (Red) with Chelsea soccer star Didier Drogba, he said: “These guys are very wealthy. I am very well paid, overpaid and even over-rewarded for what I do. But a lot of these soccer guys are giving something back and they don’t need to do that.”

Meanwhile, Bono admits he and his bandmates are “delighted and humbled” to have been asked to headline next year’s Glastonbury Festival, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary.

He said: “Everyone in the band is very excited about it. I think it will just be about the music on that day, and that spirit that seems to take over everybody in that sacred ground.

“We’ll certainly be well-rehearsed, we’ll be coming straight from the North American tour.”

U2’s appearance at Glastonbury marks their first festival show in 25 years and it will be the first time the group have performed at the world famous music event.

The ‘Anchorman’ star wants to buy his own traditional English inn close to the west London home of his favourite soccer team, Chelsea, and believes the venture would provide great movie-making inspiration.

The 42-year-old actor said: “All the Chelsea players would be welcome, but I wouldn’t want a celebrity place, it would be an old-fashioned pub.

“I would be hands on. I could get some great material off all the regulars. I am sure there would be a film in it.”

Will said that, while some American bars try to emulate the cosy pub atmosphere, you have to go to the UK to find the real thing.

He added: “Over-priced fish and chips does not constitute a real British pub.”

The funnyman – who has two sons with wife Viveca Paulin and is expecting a third in January – will be hoping the drinks in his planned pub are better than his experiences in Sweden for a TV special he filmed with survival expert Bear Grylls.

The ‘Stepbrothers’ star said: “It was the thrill of a lifetime, even though I did get urine drunk, which is sad.”
