Britney Spears met few members of the ‘Glee’ cast when she appeared on the show

The pop superstar made a cameo appearance as herself on the musical drama series last year, but actor Matthew Morrison – who plays teacher Will Schuester – says it was difficult for the regular cast members to get on set the day she arrived for filming.

He said: “What was Britney like? I don’t know – I didn’t get to meet her. Not many people did.

“She had pretty big security around her. We actually had security bands to get onto our set that day.”

While Matthew appears unimpressed with Britney, he loves Gwyneth Paltrow’s guest stints on the show and thinks she has been able to reinvent herself.

He said: “Gwyneth Paltrow has definitely been my favourite guest. ‘Glee’ gives people a chance to reinvent themselves. I think Gwyneth does a lot of serious shows, but she really made fun of herself on ‘Glee’ and proved to be a goof.”

The 32-year-old singer-and-actor also revealed he would love to see Adele make an appearance on the programme.

He told Now magazine: “I’d love to have Adele on. She’s someone who has a good sense of who she is. She’d be incredible.”

Britney Spears launched her European tour with an exclusive party in London last night (16.09.11)

The ‘Criminal’ singer turned up at the Sanctum Soho Hotel with boyfriend Jason Trawick looking stunning in a green-and-black bodycon dress to celebrate the start of the European leg of her ‘Femme Fatale’ tour.

The series of concerts start in St Petersburg, Russia, on September 22 and end in Lisbon, Portugal on November 9 and will see Britney returning to London for dates at the city’s The O2 venue in Ocotber.

Britney, 29, arrived in the British capital earlier this week and said it is a city that is always close to her heart. She tweeted: “So excited to stop over in the UK before I start my European tour in a few weeks. Can’t wait! I LOVE London, it’s like my second home.”

She will also shoot her new video for ‘Criminal’ in the UK capital, adding: “Decided to shoot the Criminal video in the streets of merry old
England when I get there.”

Britney Spears sees exercise as “spiritual thing”

The ‘Toxic’ singer keeps to a strict workout regime in order to be in peak condition for performing on her current ‘Femme Fatale’ tour and feels it goes beyond simply working out.

She told Britain’s Glamour magazine: “[Exercise] is a spiritual thing, it helps your mind and your body and it’s all connected. So, yes, I think it’s really important to take care of yourself in that way.

“I work out every other day, and sometimes every day. I run a lot on the treadmills in hotels when I’m on tour and I do light weights and a little bit of cardio.”

However, Britney has also long been a fan of calorific treats and in the past has been known to go on junk food binges, which reportedly caused her to put on 14lbs in one month during her 2009 ‘Circus’ tour.

A source said at the time: “She does not think about the calories in the food, just that she likes it. She loves greasy food and creamy sweets and hates fruit and vegetables.”

To regain her figure, the singer subsequently put herself on a 1,600 calorie-a-day diet.

Cheryl Cole wanted to become a “big sister” to Britney Spears

The ‘Fight For this Love’ singer thought she could help Britney – who suffered a public meltdown, culminating with her shaving her head in 2007 – become “normal” again, according to her ex-minder Craig Balkam.

A friend told how Craig had said: “She used to talk about Britney Spears. She kept saying she wanted to help Britney – that she thought she could become like a big sister to her and make her normal again after all her crazy behaviour.” Cheryl, 28, was not as big a fan of eccentric star Lady Gaga, however, because of her provocative stage antics.

The source added to the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “She had a thing about Lady Gaga too. She loves Lady Gaga’s music but disapproved of her stage show. She’s quite shy and not that comfortable with overly sexual behaviour. She’s very proper and ladylike.” Cheryl’s had attempted to establish herself as a star in the US, but it backfired when she was sacked from the judging panel of talent show.

‘The X Factor’ after only four days of filming earlier this year. She has since returned to the UK, where she has kept a low profile and reportedly reunited with her ex-husband, Ashley Cole. Cheryl had confided in Craig that she had long felt like a “prisoner” and longed to turn her back on life in the public eye.

The source added: “Cheryl kept saying she wanted to get out of showbusiness. She said she had enough of being a prisoner in her hotel room – that was a phrase she used a lot. “She said wanted to be a normal person again. But at the same time she was very keen to crack it in America – as though she was torn between the two.”

Jamie Spears is going to court to get some serious money for directing Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale Tour that kicks off today in Sacramento, CA… but turns out he’ll be the best bargain in town.

TMZ has obtained legal docs that Jamie has filed with the judge in Britney’s conservatorship case … asking the judge to give him money for directing the tour and managing the logistics of the tour.

Jamie has not specified the amount of money he wants, and sources tell us it hasn’t been calculated yet. Sources tell us the amount will be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, but it’s crazy cheap for what Jamie is doing.

To give you some perspective, 5 people managed the 2009 Circus Tour. Although the amount they made is blacked out in the legal documents, we were able to discern the amount is in the 7 figures.

With Jamie on board for the Britney Spears/Nicki Minaj Femme Fatale Tour, 3 of the 5 positions will be eliminated. Thus, if Jamie gets a 6 figure salary for the upcoming 8-month world tour, everybody wins.

Whatever Jamie gets for the tour … it will be in addition to the $16,000 a month he’s pulling in for serving as Britney’s conservator.

Britney Spears is to marry for a third time

The 29-year-old singer – who has two sons, Sean Preston, five, and Jayden James, four, with second husband Kevin Federline – got secretly engaged to long-term boyfriend Jason Trawick when the 39-year-old talent manager popped the question by writing the pop star a romantic poem.

After filling the ground floor of the couple’s Los Angeles mansion with roses and candles, Jason reportedly presented Britney with a flower-shaped diamond ring, according to The Sun newspaper.

An insider said: “She’s on cloud nine.”

The ‘Toxic’ hitmaker is also said to be keen to have another child, her first with Jason, but only wanted to do it once she had tied the knot again.

The source added: “Britney is desperate to settle down again and have more children. But she is very traditional and didn’t want to start a family with Jason until they’d tie the knot.

Britney Spears is being sued for $10 million

The ‘Toxic’ hitmaker and her father Jamie Spears – who is co-conservator of the star’s estate – is the subject of legal action by licensing firm Brand Sense Partners, who allege breach of contract and are claiming they have stopped receiving the 35 per cent commission that was agreed as part of their deal to launch Britney’s fragrance line.

The company have filed a request with Los Angeles Superior Court asking for the singer to be ordered to appear for a deposition in relation to the suit, as they say repeated attempts have been blocked because of her conservatorship.

According to documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Britney was given notice to appear for a deposition on April 29 but couldn’t make it, which sparked lawyers on both sides exchanging “over a dozen emails and phone calls counsel in an attempt to cooperate and find a mutually agreeable date for the deposition.”

Though Britney’s lawyers state the star cannot appear in a deposition because someone else has control of her affairs, Brand Sense insist they want her to do so as she signed the original paperwork.

Their documents state: “Ms. Spears is competent to testify, and she is the key witness in this case. She has direct knowledge of the operative agreement at the heart of this dispute and has signed each of them.”

The company argue that the ongoing attempts for a deposition are causing their legal bills to increase and are seeking “sanctions in the amount of $4,500 which represents their reasonable attorney’s fees.”

A hearing is set for July 11, when a judge will decide if Britney has to appear for the deposition.

Jason Trawick has cut ties with Britney Spears … but only professionally, TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the couple tell TMZ … they are still doing great together, but Jason has decided to step aside as her agent.

Trawick has left William Morris Endeavor to create an arts and entertainment division for a company called Famos LLC, whose partners include musicians Dave Stewart and Mick Jagger. The company will specialize in promoting artists who have a digital reach.

Britney Spears claims she is “pretty normal”

The 29-year-old singer – who endured a public breakdown in January 2008 and has been under the conservatorship of her father Jamie Spears ever since – admitted despite her public persona, she is “just like everybody else”.

She said: “I’m pretty normal, you know? Like I said, the type of day I love is just like everybody else’s. I’m like everybody else.”

The ‘Till The World Ends’ hitmaker – who has two sons, Sean Preston, five, and Jayden James, four, with ex-husband Kevin Federline – also revealed while she worries a lot more since becoming a mother, she would be keen to expand her brood “if the timing was right”.

She told Harper’s Bazaar magazine: “I think things through a little bit more, and I worry a lot. I’m more straightforward, and I speak up more than I did before. When I was younger, I wouldn’t speak up as much, but now that I’m a mom, things have changed.

“I’ve thought about both, so if the timing was right.”

Britney explained both her sons are already “little actors” and so she wouldn’t be opposed to letting them follow a career in the music or film industry when they get older.

She added: “If they have a love and passion for the arts and that’s what they want to do, then so be it. They are both little actors and so charismatic, I wouldn’t be surprised at all.”

Britney Spears’ famous black Mercedes — once known as the most dangerous car in L.A. — will soon be displayed in a Chicago auto museum … and TMZ has learned the people behind the exhibit are letting one lucky fan get behind the wheel.

Britney has one hell of a history in the 2008 Mercedes Benz SLK 320 — she blew through red lights, wreaked havoc at all hours of the night and smashed into another car in a parking lot … for which she was later arrested on a hit-and-run charge.

Now, the car is set to go on display at the Volo Auto Museum just outside of Chicago on June 26 … the same day the museum will hold a drawing to let one lucky Britney fan drive the car around town for a day …

… as long as the winner agrees to obey all traffic laws.

Taylor Lautner is a huge fan of Britney Spears

The 19-year-old actor – who plays tough werewolf Jacob Black in the ‘Twilight Saga’ movies – can’t stop listening to the singer’s new album ‘Femme Fatale’ and is looking forward to checking out her new music videos.

He said: “I love her new album. Yeah, it’s cool. I haven’t seen the videos, I have to see the videos, but the songs are great.”

The hunk – who is dating his ‘Abduction’ co-star Lily Collins – is such a fan of the ‘Till the World Ends’ hitmaker that if he was to guest star on musical TV show ‘Glee’, he would choose to sing one of her most famous songs – although he admits he hasn’t got the best voice.

He said: “I’m sure none of my fans would want to hear me sing a song. But if I had to choose, it would be ‘Oops! … I Did It Again’.

“I don’t know why I would just randomly break into that song.”

And although Taylor is unlikely to branch his career into music he will soon be on the lookout for more film offers after his time on the ‘Twilight’ franchise comes to an end.

The star revealed although he will be “relieved” to have more time to himself once the final film wraps, he admits he will find it “weird” to not spend as much time with the other stars of the franchise, including Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

He said: “I think it’s mixed emotions, for sure. Half of me says, ‘This will be a relief. I get some time off, I get to spend some time with family and friends and do other things’, but the other half says, ‘This is going to be so weird’.

“Nobody will admit it right now, but I guarantee you there will be tears.”

Britney Spears Signs Nicki Minaj for Concert Tour

It’s official. TMZ has learned … Nicki Minaj will be Britney Spears’ opening act for her upcoming concert tour.

Sources involved in the negotiation tell TMZ … the deal was signed several days ago, and Britney is elated. Everyone involved in the concert is relieved Enrique Iglasias’ ego couldn’t handle opening for Britney and feel Nicki will be infinitely better.

Minaj, who is on tour with Lil Wayne until the end of the month, currently has two singles on the Billboard Top 100 — “Moment 4 Life” and “Did It On’em”

Everyone connected with the concert series things Nicki will create even more heat for the tour, which kicks off on June 17 in Sacramento, CA.

TMZ broke the story Nicki and Britney were in serious negotiations. Right after we posted that story, the comments and emails were almost unanimous that Nicki is an infinitely better choice than Enrique.

Britney Spears’ Drug Tests Wanted by Ex-Friend

Britney Spears’ former BFF Sam Lutfi is demanding the results of drug tests the pop star underwent three years ago — in hopes they will help him defeat Brit’s mom in court.

In the motion — filed in L.A. County Superior court — Lutfi claims he needs the tests to support his defamation lawsuit against Britney, her mom and her dad.

He’s suing over several claims Lynne Spears made in her book, “Through the Storm” — among them that he tried to “drug Britney into a coma.”

In the docs, Lutfi also asks for access to reports filed by Britney’s child visitation monitors — claiming they can refute accusations he cut Brit’s phone wires and disabled her cars.

Britney Spears tries to work around her children’s school schedule

The ‘Hold it Against Me’ hitmaker – who has just released a new album and is about to embark on a tour – is back in the spotlight after a two-year break and says she tries to fit her work commitments around Sean Preston, five, and four-year-old Jayden James’ lessons.

She explained: “I’m usually pretty busy when I’m not working. I have two children, so I usually get them up in the morning, and I’m usually at the gym, and I help cook dinner sometimes … a lot of the stuff that I do I do early in the morning when my boys are at school.”

Speaking in new MTV documentary ‘Britney Spears: I Am The Femme Fatale’ – which follows the pop star as she shoots a new music video and returns to the stage – she also admitted to feeling nervous about performing live again.

She said: “I haven’t been out (on stage) for a year … I have jitterbugs.”

The 29-year-old singer also described the shoot for the video for ‘Till the World Ends’ “as grimy” and claims she worked so hard she wasn’t even allowed a break to go to the toilet.

She explained: “It would cost about $1,000 of studio time.

“It was a little much. It was grimy and sweaty and it felt like there was poop everywhere, but it was just sweat. You work through it.”

TMZ has learned Britney Spears has lasered in on Nicki Minaj as her opening act for the upcoming concert tour … and lawyers for the two are in “serious talks.”

Britney Spears Sued for Alleged Perfume Fraud

Britney Spears allegedly defrauded a company that hooked her up with Elizabeth Arden in a deal that made Britney a fortune … this according to a $10 million lawsuit obtained by TMZ.

Brand Sense Partners, LLC claims it had a deal with Brit in which the company would get 35% of Britney’s profits in return for securing a perfume contract with Elizabeth Arden.

According to the suit obtained by TMZ, Britney and her dad defrauded Brand Sense by entering into a secret deal with Elizabeth Arden, allegedly robbing Brand Sense of millions in the marketing of her perfume, Radiance.

The suit claims Brand Sense caught Jamie “red-handed” in circumventing their deal.

The lawsuit seeks more than $10 million in damages.

Enrique Iglesias: My Ego Couldn’t Handle Britney

Enrique Iglesias dropped out of the upcoming Britney Spears concert tour because his ego couldn’t handle being her opening act … multiple sources connected with the tour tell TMZ.

We’re told lawyers and agents for Britney and Enrique were hammering out an agreement for weeks, and the terms were finessed to make Enrique appear to be a co-headliner. We’re told both sides agreed to the deal and that’s why the announcement was made Tuesday.

But just hours before Britney’s camp went public, Enrique was burning up the phone lines and the Internet, engaging various people connected with the tour in lengthy conversations in which he made it clear — he was, in reality, Britney’s opening act and he wanted out.

One source says the deal was actually very favorable to Enrique … “great terms and great placement.” But we’re told it all came down to taking the stage before Brit — too much to handle.

Britney’s Backup Dancers — Don’t Feed Her Drugs!

Working for Britney Spears is like owning a Gremlin, they both come with a set of instructions — the biggest one … keep Britney away from drugs and alcohol!

TMZ has obtained a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that dancers were required to sign before working on her latest music video. It specifically states, “Contractor acknowledges that it is essential that [Britney] not be exposed to any alcohol, drugs, or controlled substances.”

The NDA even goes on to say that the dancers can be subjected to drug testing at any time and can be fired for failing a test or even refusing to take one.

With Britney comes much responsibility.

When asked about her idea of hell by Out magazine, Britney replied: “Being on a diet.” Asked if she would consider surgery, she added: “When it’s time to pull and tuck, I’m sure I will consider it.”

Britney Spears has just learned …. it pays to have a conservatorship, and pays VERY well.

TMZ has obtained legal documents in the conservatorship case, showing that in December 2008, the assets controlled by Britney’s conservators totaled $2,826,362.68.

Now get this …TMZ has learned … exactly one year later — in December, 2009 — the assets controlled by the conservators swelled to $27,500,000 … almost a 10 fold increase in 1 year.

Most of the gains came from Britney’s wildly successful “Circus” tour.

As for the assets at the close of 2008, there’s an interesting breakdown. Britney’s “furniture and equipment” was valued at $1,551,026. Her jewelry, furs and antiques totaled $264,988.

Now the figures are deceiving. The conservators only control a portion of Britney’s total estate. She has a lot of money and property in various trusts and other business entitites, which the conservators do not control.

Nick Jonas wants to appear in ‘Glee’

The 18-year-old singer is a big fan of the US musical drama series and would be “honoured” if show creator Ryan Murphy offered him a cameo role.

He said: “Everybody says this, obviously, in the entertainment business because it’s such a popular show – that’s why I’m reluctant to say it from time to time – but I really do appreciate the use of music in ‘Glee.’ I think everyone can relate that’s in the music business. Everyone’s just thankful that music is kind of popular again because ‘Glee’ does a great job of incorporating it into the show.

“I would humbly say that if there’s ever an opportunity they see that I could work well on that show, I would be honoured. Plus I think that cast is really talented – it would be fun.”

Even if he isn’t offered a role in the show, the Jonas Brothers star would happily grant permission for his music to be used.

He told website TVSquad.com: “Would I let them use our music? Absolutely! Whatever they wanted to use.”

The ‘Glee’ actress – who plays Rachel Berry in the TV musical drama – admits she has been “embarrassed” by her encounters with some famous faces, so is content with never meeting people she admires.

Britney Spears is to perform at the 53rd Grammy Awards

The ‘Womanizer‘ hitmaker – who is to release her as yet untitled seventh studio album in March – is to open the prestigious awards ceremony on February 13 with her new number one hit single ‘Hold It Against Me‘.

According to gossip website Bloginity.com, while the 29-year-old singer has been the subject of rumours surrounding the upcoming event for some weeks, this is the first time an official Grammys source has been able to confirm that she will be opening the ceremony.

The troubled star – who won the 2005 Best Dance Recording Grammy for ‘Toxic’ – released ‘Hold It Against Me’ earlier than initially planned on MP3 downloading service iTunes earlier in the month, and thanked fans for their support in sending it straight to the top of the charts.

She tweeted: “Don’t #HOLDITAGAINSTME for coming out early. I couldn’t wait any longer. Hope you don’t mind. Seriously, I have the best fans ever. I love you all so much!! Everything I do is for you! xoxo Brit (sic).”

Britney joins the likes of rapper Eminem – who leads this year’s nominations with ten nods in ten categories – Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and indie group Arcade Fire, who have all confirmed they will also be performing at the event.
