Brian Austin Green briefly split from Megan Fox because he didn’t want her to feel burdened by their relationship

The former ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ actor started dating his now-wife when she was just 18 and the couple broke up in 2009 as he was worried it was all too much for her, but they quickly reconciled.

He said: “The reality is, she was 18 when I met her and she went through an enormous change in her life… just her career in general and going from being a girl who – when I met her, she was living in New York doing ‘Hope & Faith’ and we’d go to restaurants and I was the person everybody would recognise and point and laugh at or whatever.

“And all of a sudden that turned around and she couldn’t go anywhere and her name and her face were everywhere. So, she went through the natural period of, ‘I’m not sure if I’m ready to be in such a settled relationship.’

“I didn’t want her to feel like she was stuck because she said she wanted to be in a relationship to begin with and we just never really went in different directions. We’d say, ‘Oh, let’s kind of take a break and see what’s going on.’ It always came back together.”

Another reason Brian briefly split with Megan was because he was concerned she was taking on too much as he had a son from a previous relationship.

He said: “I have an eight-year-old, he was two at the time, when Megan and I met. She helped me raise him and it’s a huge responsibility. There was a lot to it.”

Despite their short break-up, the couple – who married in Hawaii in June – are now happier than ever with Brian gushing to US TV show ‘Access Hollywood’: “She’s amazing.”

Megan Fox is a natural at parenting.

The 24-year-old actress – who married long-term boyfriend Brian Austin Green in a secret ceremony in Hawaii in June – is stepmother to the actor’s eight-year-old son Kassius and her spouse is delighted by how well she copes with the youngster.

Brian, 37, said: “She is absolutely my better half in parenting. She just gets it. It’s instinctual for her. She loves my son, Kassius. And from the time we started dating—you know, she was 18—she stepped in and took control. It’s unbelievable.”

Brian – who had Kassius with former girlfriend Vanessa Marcil – doesn’t think the 13-year age gap between the couple is an issue because they have always got on so well.

He told Details magazine: “When we met, I had just separated from Kassius’ mom and a relationship was the last thing on my mind. It’s not something I ever thought would be serious. But she brought out parts of me that I had lost in my last relationship. Megan was a big part of boosting my confidence. And at the same time, I was somebody responsible and grounded for her to be around. We just matched.”

The former ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ star insists he isn’t jealous of his wife’s movie career, admitting that he is happy for the ‘Transformers’ star to be the main breadwinner.

He explained: “I know the normal male thing is the man works and is successful and brings home the pay cheque. I don’t know who set it up, but it’s what people expect. I just don’t care. I hated being famous during ‘90210’. I’m not an extrovert. I’m 37. I have a beautiful wife. I have an amazing eight-year-old son. I love acting, but this is just my job.”

However, Brian revealed that if his career did take off again, his wife would be happy to take a break from Hollywood.

He said: “F**k, next year I could book some crazy movie that blows up and things could shift completely. And I guarantee you at that point she’ll say, ‘F**k, thank God. You go do all that s**t now. I’m sick of it.’ “

Megan Fox says people struggle to understand she’s married

The 24-year-old actress tied the knot with husband Brian Austin Green in a secret Hawaiian ceremony in June but claims she is met with disbelief when she says she is someone’s wife because of her age.

She told America’s Elle magazine: “They can’t grasp that I’m old enough to be married. When I talk about my husband, I feel as if people roll their eyes. It’s like when you’re 16 and order a martini, and the waiter says, ‘Do you think I’m stupid?’ “

Before marrying the former ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ actor, Megan said she was more “in love” with him than ever and felt a deep connection to the 36-year-old star.

The ‘Jonah Hex’ beauty said: “We’re just even more committed to each other than we always have been. I’m more in love with him now than I was in the beginning.”

Megan and Brian called off their first engagement in February 2009 after five years together and split, but they soon got back together before announcing their plans to tie the knot.

The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star admitted she acted like an “embarrassing” fan when she met the ‘Transformers’ actress – who is married to actor Brian Austin Green -at the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles recently.

She explained: “I couldn’t contain myself it was embarrassing. I rushed over and told her she was beautiful and I thought she was amazing. She’s completely flawless, like a 50s starlet. She was so sweet about it, she was saying thank you and being really kind.”

Kim also spoke of her admiration for singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria – who has sons Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, seven, and Cruz, five, with husband David Beckham – explaining she is a fan of the British star because of her unique personality.

She told Now magazine: “I love Victoria Beckham. She’s not afraid to be herself, she has her own personality and I completely adore that. She’s brave and fearless.”

Celebrity Witnesses Went Unnoticed Before Grand Jury

We’re usually better than this, but TMZ has learned some of the alleged celebrity victims in the Burglar Bunch case walked right through the front door of the criminal courthouse in downtown L.A. to testify before the Grand Jury, and no one noticed.

TMZ just broke the story … defendant Nick Prugo has been indicted by the Grand Jury.  We’ve now learned other defendants in the case have also been indicted and the judge will receive the indictments later this AM.  Sources say Courtney Ames and Roy Lopez Jr. are among those indicted.

We don’t know specifically which celebs testified, but the roster is impressive — Orlando Bloom, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Rachel Bilson, Megan Fox, Brian Austin Green, Audrina Patridge and Ashley Tisdale.

As for why the D.A. chose the Grand Jury route, multiple sources tell TMZ prosecutors got sick and tired of the objections from defense lawyers for the upcoming preliminary hearing.  The prelim is bypassed when the Grand jury indicts.

Grand Jury Indicts Nick Prugo

TMZ has learned Nick Prugo has been indicted by the L.A. County Grand Jury — in connection with his alleged role in the Burglar Bunch crime spree.

It’s unclear why the D.A. took the case to the Grand Jury, since prosecutors have already charged Prugo with numerous felonies, in connection with the burglaries of Audrina Patridge, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Rachel Bilson, Orlando Bloom, Brian Austin Green, and Megan Fox.

An L.A. County Superior Court judge will formally receive the Grand Jury indictment this morning.  The judge will then set bail.

As for why the D.A. went to the Grand Jury, there are a variety of reasons, not the least of which is that there will be no preliminary hearing.  At a prelim, the celeb victims might be forced to testify, and this is a way to avoid that spectacle.

We’re also told the D.A. goes to the grand jury when the scope of the case and the charges expand.

The ‘Jonah Hex’ actress – who is engaged to actor Brian Austin Green – insists she would never complain about receiving more attention for her looks than her work as she has not yet given “any reason” to win praise for her movies.

She said: “I’m totally aware that I’ve never given anyone a reason to praise me for my acting talents.

“So to sit here and complain, ‘Why don’t people recognise me as an actress?’ would be outrageous.

“It’s my responsibility to prove that they should.”

The brunette beauty also admitted she rarely reads anything about herself as she fears it would turn her into a “drug-addled lunatic”.

She added to Sky Movies magazine: “I could never be one of those actors who reads everything that is ever written about them.

“That doesn’t work with my personality. I’d be a complete lunatic, probably drug-addled and out of my mind. Instead, I stay in and ignore it.”

The ‘Jonah Hex’ actress – who announced her engagement to Brian Austin Green this week – says she feels a deep connection to the actor.

She told People: “We’re just even more committed to each other than we always have been. I’m more in love with him now than I was in the beginning.”

Megan, 24, and Brian, 36, called off their first engagement in February 2009 after five years together, but the screen beauty insists she doesn’t consider it a new betrothal.

She added: “It’s really not a re-engagement. It’s just the same engagement and for some reason it’s now news.”

Megan Fox can survive a week without food.

The ‘Transformers’ actress – who is engaged to Brian Austin Green – claims her culinary skills are so bad, she would rather “starve to death” than attempt to make herself a meal.

She said: “I’ll starve to death before I’ll cook for myself. I think I could survive a week without eating.”

As well as claiming she can cope without food, Megan also insisted she wouldn’t mind going for lengthy periods of time without any human contact as she prefers her own company.

She said: “I could go days, weeks, without talking to another human being. I hate receiving compliments; I hate being told I’m talented or people think I’m going to be a movie star. I always feel that it’s forced and fake.”

The 24-year-old star also claimed she suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), which prevents her from using cutlery in restaurants or using public toilets.

She explained in an interview with Allure magazine: “This is a sickness, I have an illness – this is not OK anymore.

“Every time someone uses a bathroom and they flush, all the bacteria is shot into the air.

“Putting my mouth where a million other mouths have been, just knowing all the bacteria that you carry in your mouth? Ucch!”

The ‘Transformers’ actress – who has been dating actor Brian Austin Green on and off since they met in 2003 – had an argument with him after they were unable to agree on their festive holiday plans.

A source is quoted by website Absolute Now as saying: “Basically, Megan wanted it all her way with Brian joining her and her friends and family for the holiday but Brian isn’t so keen.

“He is very loyal to his family and thought they would at least share the holidays between the two. It’s all ended in another tiff which means they probably won’t see each other at all over Christmas.”

The ‘Jennifer’s Body’ star was searching auction website eBay with her lover when she came across a classic red 1966 Mustang Fastback at a bargain price, although the vehicle needed a lot of repairs.

She said: “We were going through cars on eBay and I found one in really good condition that was beautiful and for a good price.”
