Billy Ray Cyrus Files to Withdraw Divorce

Billy Ray Cyrus just made it official, by filing documents — obtained by TMZ — to withdraw his divorce petition so he can try to save his marriage.

Billy Ray filed the docs in Williamson County, Tennessee, stating, “The parties are attempting a reconciliation.”

Billy Ray has been saying Miley Cyrus’ fame compromised their family.

Billy Ray and Tish have been seen out together over the last few weeks.

The petition to withdraw the divorce was filed March 11 … and the judge signed the order withdrawing the divorce papers.

Miley Cyrus’ father is “scared” for her

Billy Ray Cyrus admitted the star’s recent behaviour – including smoking a legal high through a bong device and throwing her 18th birthday party in a bar – have left him worried that she is being given bad advice.

He explained: “Every time the train went off the track… her people, or as they say in today’s news, her handlers, every time they’d put the blame on me… I took it because I’m her daddy… OK, nail me to the cross.

“I’m scared for her. She’s got a lot of people around her that’s putting her in a great deal of danger. I want to get her sheltered from the storm.

Billy Ray – who is currently in the process of divorcing Miley’s mother Tish Cyrus – also revealed he avoided the singer-and-actress’ 18th birthday party because he didn’t want to be blamed for the fact it was held at Los Angeles bar Trousdale, even though she is three years under the legal age for drinking alcohol in the US.

He explained in an interview with America’s GQ magazine: “You know why I didn’t go? Because they were having it in a bar. It was wrong. It was for 21 years old and up… all them people, they all wanted me to fly out so that then when all the bad press came they could say, ‘Daddy endorsed this stuff.’ I started realising I’m being used.

“After the incident with the legal high, her handlers told me it was none of my business.

“I should have said, ‘Enough is enough – it’s getting dangerous and somebody’s going to get hurt’…

Honestly, I didn’t know the ball was out of bounds until it was way up in the stands somewhere.”

Miley shot to fame on Disney TV show ‘Hannah Montana’ with Billy Ray, 49, playing her father but he admitted he wishes the programme had “never happened” because of the impact it had on his family life.

He said: “The damn show destroyed my family. I hate to say it, but I’d take it back in a second.”

The singer also admitted he thinks his relationship with Miley could be improved, saying their communication is “good enough to know it could be a lot better.”

Miley Cyrus’ father Billy Ray Cyrus has expressed his disappointment with her for being seen smoking a legal high.

The Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker – who is currently divorcing wife Tish – took to twitter following the video of 18-year-old Miley smoking
salvia from a bong. He wrote: ‘Sorry guys. I had no idea. Just saw this stuff for the first time myself. I’m so sad. There is so much beyond my control right now.’

Anthony Adams – a former California State Assemblyman who previously tried to ban the drug in his state – believes salvia, which is legal
in a number of US stars, can make people do ‘crazy’ things and has blasted her for being irresponsible to her legions of young fans.

He said: ‘You do incredibly crazy things. Miley is a star and young kids are going to emulate her behaviour.’ In the video taken of Miley smoking the drug, she is seen confusing a party guest for Last Song co-star and ex-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth as well as giggling uncontrollably.

She said: ‘OK, I’m about to lose it now. I’m having a little bit of a trip right now. ‘Oh my God! He looks so much like him! He looks so much like Liam. Is that me tripping? He doesn’t look like Liam at all? Dude, that looks just like Liam!’

Miley Cyrus kissed teen actor Avan Jogia during her 18th birthday party on Sunday night (21.11.10)

The singer-and-actress – whose actual birthday is today (23.11.10) – celebrated reaching the landmark age at Los Angeles nightclub Trousdale.

She headed straight to the nightspot after performing at the American Music Awards (AMAs) and was seen smooching the 18-year-old Canadian star – who appears in new Nickelodeon TV series ‘Victorious’, which follows the life of fictional aspiring singer Tori Vega and her days at performing arts high school Hollywood Arts.

Despite the embrace, it has been claimed that Miley and Avan are not dating.

A source told People: “They’re just hanging out. She’s still single. They have just hung out together a few times and are getting to know each other – that’s really it right now.”

The ‘Can’t Be Tamed’ hitmaker partied with her mother Tish, actress Demi Moore and her husband Ashton Kutcher, Demi’s daughter Rumer Willis, Kelly Osbourne, actor-and-rapper Kyle Massey and ‘Glee’ stars Mark Salling and Chord Overstreet as DJ Cobra played music.

As well as getting a birthday kiss from Avan, Miley was also treated to a giant red velvet cake, Key lime pies, chocolate mousse and raspberry shot glasses and a dessert table, all provided by the Sweet & Saucy Shop.

The teen star – whose father Billy Ray Cyrus is currently divorcing her mother – has revealed she likes to celebrate her birthday for an entire month.

She said: “I have a birthday month. I do the whole month of November. Thanksgiving, cake – it’s all about me on Thanksgiving!”

Miley Cyrus celebrated her 18th birthday by having a dance-off with her mother

The singer-and-actress reaches the milestone on Tuesday (23.11.10) but decided to have an early party last night (21.11.10) following the American Music Awards (AMAs) where she and Tish Cyrus competed on the dancefloor.

Speaking before the bash, Miley said: “I’m going out dancing later – we rented out a space so all my friends can come. Me and my mom actually have choreography for the night later – everyone loves it when we dance in unison.”

Miley says she and Tish – who is currently going through a divorce with Miley’s dad Billy Ray Cyrus – often practise their dance moves on a computer game at home.

She said: “There’s one move where you do like, the fist pump. You ‘Jersey Shore’ it for a second! We got a bunch of moves going on. Everyone goes wild when me and my mom have choreography, so it’s going to be good.

“My mom, she beats me at that game! She had 600,000 points yesterday, I had 300,000. She is such a good dancer – she really gets it.”

Miley Cyrus is “not taking sides” in her parents’ divorce

The ‘Can’t Be Tamed’ hitmaker is said to be “upset” at her parents – 49-year-old singer Billy Ray Cyrus and 43-year-old mother Tish – getting a divorce after 17 years of marriage and hopes to keep her feelings on the matter private.

A source told People.com: “Miley is not taking any sides on this. She has been upset recently. She’s trying to keep everything private while her family works through this.”

Billy Ray filed divorce papers on October 26, and announced the pair were hoping for people to pray for them to get through the emotional time.

In a statement, he said: “As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for our family. We are trying to work through some personal matters. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers.”

The pair are expected to file for joint custody of their three youngest children Miley, 17 Noah, 10 and Braison, 16.

News of the divorce comes at a difficult time for Miley – she is thought to have split up with her boyfriend, Australian hunk Liam Hemsworth, for the second time recently.

The ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ singer – who is separating from his wife Tish after 17 years of marriage – filed for divorce on Tuesday (26.10.10) and legal documents state he wants to share parental responsibilities for their three youngest children, Noah, 10, Braison, 16 and 17-year-old Miley.

In the papers, he asks to “share the care, custody and control” of the trio.

The documents also state he “has no information of any custody proceedings” and the reasons behind the marriage’s breakdown were listed as “irreconcilable differences”.

After filing the papers in the Chancery Court of Williamson County, Tennessee, the 49-year-old country star started getting spiritual on his twitter account – and posted extracts from Psalm 91 from the Bible.

He wrote: “He will cover you with his feathers and under his wings you shall take refuge. Truth will be your shield and buckler.”

Billy Rae also asked his fans to pray for others during his difficult time.

He added: “Can I ask for your prayers this morning for my children…our troops…the hungry…the sick…the homeless. AMEN. (sic)”

Billy Rae married Tish in December 1992 and as well as having three children together he adopted Tish’s two children, Brandi and Trace, from her previous marriage.

He also has a son, Christopher, from his relationship with Kristen Luckey.

Singer Billy Ray Cyrus and wife Tish Cyrus announced they have separated after 17 years of marriage and filed divorce papers this week citing “irreconcilable differences”.

In a statement, they said: “As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for our family. We are trying to work through some personal matters. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers.”

Friends say it was inevitable the couple – who have three children, 17-year-old Miley, Braison, 16, and 10-year-old Noah – would split but insist nobody else is involved.

One pal said: “It was a long time coming. It is the best thing for both of them.”

Country singer Billy married Tish in December 1992 and as well as having three children together he adopted Tish’s two children, Brandi and Trace, from her previous marriage.

He also has a son, Christopher, from his relationship with Kristen Luckey.

The family initially lived on a 500-acre farm near Nashville, Tennessee, before moving to Los Angeles following the success of Miley’s TV show ‘Hannah Montana’, which Billy also appears in.

Miley Cyrus has never had a “normal” life.

The 17-year-old star – insists finding fame in ‘Hannah Montana’ didn’t change her dramatically because she had lead such an unconventional lifestyle because of her famous father Billy Ray Cyrus.

She said: “I didn’t really know anything else. Because of my dad, I was always home schooled, I would go on tour with my dad.

“I didn’t really know what a ‘normal’ life was. So when people ask me if I miss it, you can’t really miss anything you don’t know. I never really was just a kid, I guess.”

The singer-and-actress also claimed she is “proud” of how well she manages to cope with her heavy workload.

She added: “I’m really proud of what I’ve done. I was a little nervous at first that it was going to be too much, but I’ve had a really good time and I think it’s been easier than I thought.”

Despite her crazy lifestyle, Miley doesn’t regret that she may have grown up too early as she was used to her rock star father Billy Ray Cyrus’s celebrity life.

Despite spending her childhood on the road with her father, Miley is not likely to be seen singing along to his big hit ‘Achey Breaky Heart.’

The star said: “I like a lot of my dad’s songs more than I like that one! There are a lot that I like more.”

Miley Cyrus is the complete opposite of her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.

The ‘Hannah Montana’ actress – who has been dating her ‘The Last Song’ co-star since they met on set – says even though they don’t have very much in common, she is amazed at how similar their upbringings were.

She explained: “He’s a 6ft 4in Australian surfer, and I’m 5ft 4in, from Tennessee and I couldn’t surf if someone gave me $10million. So we couldn’t be more opposite.

“But I went to Australia to visit him and his family, and I was like, ‘Omigosh, this looks like Nashville.’ There were like cows everywhere. I am like, ‘How are you from the opposite side of the planet and your world looks just like mine?’ ”

The 17-year-old starlet also admitted her father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, is just thrilled Liam isn’t a “psycho”.

Sandra Bullock won Worst Actress at the Razzies yesterday (06.03.10).

The actress was given the accolade for her performance in ‘All About Steve’ and stunned guests at the Los Angeles ceremony – which recognises the worst films of the year – by turning up to collect the trophy.

Arriving with a trailer filled with DVDs, Sandra – who along with her co-star Bradley Cooper won Worst Screen Couple – joked: “Something tells me you all didn’t watch the film because I wouldn’t be here if you really, really watched it and understood what I was trying to say.

“Everyone gets a copy and this is the deal I’m going to make.

“I will show up next year if you promise to watch the movie and really consider if it was truly the worst performance. If you’re willing to watch, I’ll come back next year and give back the Razzie.”

Sandra is hotly tipped to pick up Best Actress for her role in ‘The Blind Side’ at tonight’s (07.03.10) Academy Awards. If she wins, she will be the first actress to ever pick up the best and worst honours in the same evening.

The Jonas Brothers were named worst actors for their 3D concert movie, while Worst Picture went to ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’, with its director Michael Bay given the Worst Director prize.

Eddie Murphy and Paris Hilton were named Worst Actor and Actress of the Decade, while John Travolta’s 2000 film ‘Battlefield Earth’ was named Worst Picture of the Decade.

One of the movie’s screenwriters, JD Shapiro, turned up to accept the award.

He said: “I especially want to thank the dozens and dozens of people who went to see the movie.”

The Razzies are voted for by members of the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation, which is open to anyone.

Metro Station rocker Trace Cyrus has several pieces of body art, and after getting a matching design to his singer father Billy Ray Cyrus he now can’t wait until 17-year-old Miley is old enough to have her flesh inked too.

He said: “I already have a matching one with my dad, there’s no reason I wouldn’t do it with my siblings. Someone you’re that close to, it’s something that means something to you obviously, so why wouldn’t you do it?”

Miley is unable to share the experience of getting a tattoo with her brother for another year, but the siblings – who are currently touring together – are happy to swap relationship tips with one another.

Single Trace told America’s OK! magazine: “She helps me with my girl problems, I talk to her about boys she’s talking to. She has a smart head on her shoulders and anything that she decides is going to be the right decision.”

Trace, 20, also revealed he and his mother Tish are getting matching tattoos done.

He added: “My mom’s going to get a ribcage tattoo that is definitely the biggest tattoo she’s ever gotten. I’m definitely proud of her for that. It will definitely be a little bit different of an experience for me. I’ve never gone to get a tattoo with my mom ever. She’s taken me to get a tattoo but we’ve never both gotten one at the same time.”
