Lady Gaga was left “shaken” after a stalker got backstage at one of her shows

The ‘Bad Romance’ singer’s team were forced to call police after a woman forced her way into the holding area of London’s The 02 during her concert last Thursday (16.12.10) and was found heading straight for the pop star’s dressing room.

An insider said: “Gaga was understandably shaken by the incident but was a consummate professional and continued as per normal, putting on a dazzling show.”

The obsessed fan – who was already known as a nuisance to the 24-year-old star’s team – had gone to “great lengths” to get to Gaga and was found carrying forged backstage passes and laminates which helped her evade security measures.

A security source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “This was a serious breach of security and the woman was heading in the direction of the stage and, more worryingly, Gaga’s dressing room.

“This woman has gone to great lengths to produce all the fake documentation so she could move at ease in the holding area backstage.”

The fan was detained by two members of security until police arrived to quiz her on site before letting her go.

The incident is not the only time security was breached during the ‘Alejandro’ hitmaker’s current tour. On Monday (20.12.10) a fan reportedly grabbed her breast outside her hotel in Paris.

Lady Gaga wants to get married in a British castle

The ‘Bad Romance’ hitmaker has reportedly told members of her stage crew that she wants to tie the knot with rumoured boyfriend Luc Carl after performing her UK shows in December.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “Lady Gaga has told everyone she plans to get married. She has said she wants a fairytale wedding in a castle.

“We finish the European leg in London just before Christmas and the timing is perfect for the wedding.”

According to the insider, the eccentric singer has a string of wishes for her big day, including arriving in a horse-drawn carriage, wearing wedding rings similar to Elvis Presley’s horseshoe ring and to have burlesque star Dita Von Teese spring from a cake and perform one of her raunchy routines.

It was recently claimed the ‘Poker Face’ singer – who first dated Luc in 2005 before rekindling their romance recently – plans to buy a British castle, fuelling speculation she wants to host her wedding in her own house.

A source said recently: “No expense will be spared in her quest to make this dream come true.
“It’s her childhood dream and she’s particularly interested in castles in the north of England or Scotland.”

Lady Gaga is “convinced” she is controlled by Andy Warhol

The ‘Telephone’ hitmaker is said to have become obsessed with the late pop artist – who died in 1987 aged 58 – and reportedly makes her decisions based on their imaginary conversations.

A source said: “She is convinced he is controlling her from beyond the grave, guiding her life and career. Her entire life has become dictated by these conversations.”

Another insider claimed: “She says she is in touch with his spirit. She sits and talks to him for hours, as if he’s in the room with her. She says he tells her what to wear.”

The 24-year-old singer is so obsessed with the artist she has bought several of his works and is planning to throw a Warhol-themed party later this week, much to the bemusement of event planners.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “She has told the organisers that everything must be in the spirit of Warhol.

“They were a little confused at first but are doing their best to satisfy her demands. Her house is insane. She has spent thousands turning it into a shrine to Warhol.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if she started dressing head to toe in his clothes and changed her name to Andy.”

The highest price ever paid for a Warhol work was a staggering $100 million for his 1963 canvas ‘Eight Elvises’, and he is also famous for his prediction that in the future everyone would enjoy “15 minutes of fame”.

Lady Gaga was the big winner at last night’s (12.09.10) MTV Video Music Awards

The eccentric singer – who was nominated for a record 13 awards – took home an impressive eight trophies at the prestigious ceremony, including Video of the Year for ‘Bad Romance’.

When accepting the main award – which was presented to her by Cher – an emotional Gaga said: “I was so nervous tonight that I’d let my fans down.

“I promised that if I won this tonight, I’d announce the name of my new record.”

She then went on to tell the thrilled crowd her new album would be called ‘Born This Way’, before singing part of the title song.

The 24-year-old star also won prizes for Best Pop Video, Best Female Video and Best Collaboration – for her ‘Telephone’ duet with Beyonce Knowles – and she thanked her fans for their support.

She said: “Tonight, little monsters, we’re the cool kids at the party.”

Other winners at the show – which was held at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater and was hosted by Chelsea Handler – included Eminem, Justin Bieber and Jay-Z and Alicia Keys.

Eminem – who won Best Male Video and Best Hip-hop Video – opened the show with ‘Not Afraid’, before teaming up with Rihanna for ‘Love the Way You Lie’, while Best New Artist winner Justin thrilled his fans with a performance of ‘Baby’ outside the Nokia Theater.

Taylor Swift and Kanye West – who caused controversy last year after Kanye interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech, saying Beyonce should have won – also performed separate songs.

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan – who has just completed court-ordered rehab treatment – appeared at the start of the show in a pre-recorded sketch, which poked fun at her lifestyle.

Talking about host Chelsea’s self-confessed love of vodka, Lindsay quipped: “Pull it together! Do you think anyone wants to work with a drunk? Take it from me!”

Lady Gaga avoids having sex because she is afraid it will lessen her creativity

The ‘Alejandro’ singer – who has recently rekindled her romance with former boyfriend, New York barman Luc Carl – thinks regular lovemaking could have a negative effect on her art.

She told Vanity Fair magazine: “I do f**k, but I’m certainly not promiscuous. I have this weird thing that if I sleep with someone they’re going to take my creativity from me through my vagina.”

And Gaga – real name Stefani Germanotta – is afraid to be in a relationship because she finds it hard to trust people.

The 24-year-old pop star explained: “I’m perpetually lonely. I’m lonely when I’m in relationships. It’s my condition as an artist.”

Gaga has also lifted the lid on hit single ‘Bad Romance’ – admitting the title and lyrics are inspired by her own life.

She said: “I’m drawn to bad romances. And my song [‘Bad Romance’] is about whether I go after those [sort of relationships] or if they find me.”

The eccentric singer – famed for her daring outfits – refuses to let herself give into her feelings of self-doubt because she needs to maintain her pop persona at all times.

She said: “When I wake up in the morning, I feel just like any other insecure 24-year-old girl. Then I say, ‘B***h, you’re Lady Gaga, you get up and walk the walk today.’ ”

She added: “I don’t even drink water onstage in front of anybody, because I want them to focus on the fantasy of the music.”

Gaga takes her inspiration from the late Michael Jackson – who died of acute Propofol intoxication last June – because of the way he carried on even after his hair caught fire during filming of a Pepsi commercial in 1984.

Lady Gaga is taking special care of herself to stop her getting lupus.

The ‘Bad Romance‘ singer is not currently unwell with the disease – which can cause severe skin damage as well as harming many of the body’s organs – but is forced to pay special attention to her health to prevent her from falling ill.

She said: “Lupus is in my family, it’s genetic. It’s funny because my mother told me the other day that my fans are worried because I did talk about the fact that I was tested for lupus. The truth is I don’t have any signs or symptoms of lupus but I have tested borderline positive for the disease. As of right now, I do not have it, but I have to take good care of myself.”

The 24-year-old singer recently underwent a series of medical tests after her aunt died from the disease.

While she is trying hard to look after her health, the pop star is also busy campaigning to stop young homosexual people in America being judged by their sexuality.

She told chat show host Larry King: “There’s so many archaic things floating around in the government right now that are so misinformed and so wrong. It’s very confusing. It’s very confusing for young people, especially 14 year olds in high school who are getting sent home because they have T-shirts that have “gay” on it, as if gay is a curse word or somehow inappropriate. I just think that in terms of education – sexual education, political education and social education – in schools, I think it’s important to be specific about civil rights and a person’s worth. No person is worth any less than another human being based on their sexual orientation.”

Cheryl Cole is the celebrity most searched for on mobile phones.

The Girls Aloud singer has been named as the personality most searched for by people playing on the internet on their telephone handsets, and her ‘Fight for This Love’ video has been crowned the most downloaded song and video clip.

The 26-year-old beauty strolled ahead in the results – which were put together by the Orange Digital Media Index (ODMI) – and received over 40 per cent more phone searches than ‘Hannah Montana’ star Miley Cyrus, who came second, and ‘Twilight’ hunk Robert Pattinson, who was placed third.

Paul Jevons from Orange, said: “Mobile searches are a real barometer of fame and reflect the public’s fascination with celebrities when on the move.”

Cheryl also fought off stiff competition when she topped the most downloaded music tracks and video download polls.

The Black Eyed Peas song ‘Meet Me Halfway’ was the second most sought after track, while Lady Gaga’s single ‘Bad Romance’ came in third.

Robert Pattinson made another appearance in the top 10 video downloads, as droves of fans of his ‘Twilight’ movies downloaded the ‘Twilight: New Moon’ movie trailer – making it the second most popular video.

Lady Gaga went fishing in high heels and underwear.

The 23-year-old pop star had a relaxing two-day break on a beach in New Zealand following two performances in Auckland, but refused to tone down her eccentric dress sense.

Jason Schwarz, general manager of Waiheke’s Goldwater Estate on Waiheke Island, said: “She’s pretty eccentric, she didn’t take her heels off once.

“She went down to Onetangi Beach to go fishing in her eight-inch heels, undies and a man’s business shirt – that’s it. She still had her bright yellow hair.”

Discussing reports the ‘Telephone’ hitmaker was exhausted following her Auckland shows after she took off her headgear and lied down during her final performance of ‘Bad Romance’, Jason claimed she was fine, although a little tired when she arrived on the island by helicopter as she had been up partying until 4am.

He told the New Zealand Herald newspaper: “I think she was OK though, she was just pretty tired.”

The New York-based performer travelled to the island with some dancers and her bodyguard, where they all enjoyed barbecues with sausages, oysters and local tarakihi fish.

Gaga is now in Australia on the latest leg of her ‘Monster Ball Tour’, before she heads to Japan in April.

The ‘Bad Romance’ singer astonished reality TV mogul Simon Cowell with her requests, but they were eventually vetoed by health and safety officers. She will instead perform on the UK TV talent show this Sunday (06.12.09) surrounded by scantily clad male dancers.

British health and safety officers also cracked down on singer Mariah Carey’s diva demands last month when she appeared to turn on a shopping centre’s Christmas lights in London.

Mariah requested 20 white kittens and 100 white doves to accompany her at the extravagant switch-on ceremony at the Westfield shopping centre, but health and safety officials denied her wishes – because animals are not allowed inside the complex.
