Guess Who Is Hollywood’s Top Earner 2010?

Taylor Lautner has beaten his ‘Twilight’ co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in 2010’s Hollywood Top 40 Earners List
Compiled by Vanity Fair magazine, the rankings revealed the 18-year-old actor raked in an estimated $33.5 million for his various movie appearances throughout 2010, making him the ninth-highest earner in Hollywood.
As well as pushing last year’s number nine Robert Downey Jr. into tenth place, Taylor beat both Kristen and Robert – who received $28.5 million and $27.5 million for their respective film roles over the past 12 months – who landed in 13th and 14th places.
Vanity Fair’s contributing editor Peter Newcomb explained: “He’s perhaps the highest-paid teenage star right now. When they first negotiated their contracts, they were getting paid a lot less.
“Then, with the immense success of the film, the agents went back and renegotiated the deal – Lautner’s deal in particular was really bumped up.”
With ‘Avatar‘ director and producer James Cameron securing the top spot in the rankings with an estimated yearly earning of $257 million, Johnny Depp – who raked in $100 million in 2010 – was listed as the highest-earning actor, taking home $40 million for his role as the Mad Hatter in ‘Alice in Wonderland’ alone.
However, despite being pipped to the post by her ‘Twilight’ co-star, Kristen Stewart’s estimated $28.5 million earnings made her the highest-ranking female star in 2010.

Bella Swan Wins Big @ People’s Choice Awards

Kristen Stewart and the ‘Twilight Saga’ were the big winners at last night’s (05.01.11) People’s Choice Awards
The 20-year-old actress beat the likes of Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie to win Favourite Movie Actress, while ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’, the latest instalment in the vampire film franchise – in which Kristen plays Bella Swan – picked up three awards, including Favourite Movie.
Surpassing ‘The Social Network’ and ‘Inception’ for the gong, ‘Eclipse’ also won Favourite Drama Movie and Favourite On-Screen Team – for Kristen, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner – at the event, which was held at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre.
Kristen said: “Thank you so much, I’ve never been to the People’s Choice Awards before.”
However, Kristen’s boyfriend and co-star Robert – who plays Edward Cullen in the vampire franchise – wasn’t able to match her success, and was beaten to Favourite Movie Actor by Johnny Depp, who was awarded the coveted accolade for his role as the Mad Hatter in ‘Alice In Wonderland’.
Meanwhile, Zac Efron, 23, also beat the 24-year-old hunk to the title of Favourite Movie Star Under 25.
Elsewhere, Rihanna and Eminem also proved to be big winners on the night, taking home dual gongs for Favourite Song and Favourite Music Video for their summer hit ‘Love The Way You Lie’, while Rihanna took home Favourite Pop Artist.
The rapper further cemented his comeback to the music industry by winning Favourite Male Artist and Favourite Hip-Hop Artist.

People’s Choice Awards Nominations — ‘Twilight’

‘Twilight’ leads nominations for this year’s People’s Choice Awards.
The vampire movie franchise’s third instalment ‘Eclipse‘ dominated the award’s movie categories when they were announced yesterday (09.12.20) with eight nods including Favourite Movie, Favourite Movie Actor for stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner and Favourite Movie Actress for Kristen Stewart, among others.
The awards also honour Music and Television stars, and the nominations saw Eminem and Usher included in the Favourite Male Artist category, while Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift are all in the running for Favourite Female Artist.
Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber are both nominated for Favourite Breakout Artist, alongside B.o.B.,
Kesha and Selena Gomez and the Scene.
Upon hearing of her nomination, Selena tweeted: “Oh my gosh!!!! I am so excited you guys nominated me and The Scene for this year’s People’s Choice Award! (sic)”
TV show ‘Glee’ picks up a nomination in the Favourite TV Comedy category alongside ‘How I Met Your Mother’, ‘Modern Family’ and ‘Two and a Half Men’.
Winners of the People’s Choice Awards 2011 will be revealed during a live broadcast from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on January 5 next year.

Robert Pattinson has agreed to move to Los Angeles with Kristen Stewart
The secretive couple – who are believed to have been dating since meeting on the set of ‘Twilight’ in 2008 – are believed to be renting a $14,000-a-month five-bedroom house in the suburb of Bel Air in a bid to strengthen their relationship, despite the 24-year-old British actor’s original wish to move to New York.
A friend said: “I think when Robert really thought about it, he realised that as much as he’d like to live in New York, he doesn’t want to be anywhere without Kristen.”
The pair are hoping the move can cement their love for one another after their relationship became strained due to working commitments keeping them apart, with cracks showing when Kristen, 20, allegedly refused to attend the recent Teen Choice Awards in California with Robert.
A source told Look magazine: “Kristen is filming ‘On The Road’ in Montreal and could have gone to the awards, but didn’t want to have to face the media spotlight yet again, with questions about her relationship with Robert.
“As a couple in a long-distance relationship any moment they can spend together they should. Her refusal to go came as quite a shock to Robert, who feels they need to work on spending time together, regardless of the press spotlight.”
However, friends confirm they are getting stronger as a result of the ‘Remember Me’ star’s recent trip to the set of ‘On The Road’ in Canada.
A friend told more! magazine: “They know how much they love each other, it’s just that when they spend any time apart things can blur that. They’re happy again and so glad to be back together again.”

Sources involved in the situation tell us Rob and Kristen were on their way home from LAX airport earlier this week — when they noticed several paparazzi weaving through traffic to keep up.
We’re told … the couple — concerned for their safety — ducked into a nearby police station, hoping the cops could help out.
We’re told the officers figured out a way to sneak the “Twilight” stars out of the building … and they were able to get back on the road … without the paps on their tail.

A man claiming to be the creator of the “Chair Heart” used in the movie “Alice in Wonderland” is suing the Disney Corporation, claiming the company used his design in the flick and didn’t pay him a cent.
In his lawsuit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Arman Mkrtchyan is asking for a “decoration fee” of $50,000.
Mkrtchyan claims the “Alice” chairs are a dead ringer for his design … in fact, he claims he has a chair for every suit in the deck — including spades, clubs and diamonds.
We’ll see who folds this time …

Christina Ricci thinks Robert Pattinson is an “awesome” kisser
The Hollywood beauty worked with the British hunk on upcoming movie ‘Bel Ami’, and admits she was bowled over by his charm, claiming he is “amazing”.
She said: “It was really fun, I mean aesthetically we wore amazing costumes and hair and make-up was great. And working with Rob was amazing. He’s such a great guy, so talented.
“He’s just great. We’d make fun of each other the whole time, like ‘Oh my God, we’re so goofy’ or, ‘My accent is so bad!’ ”
Discussing how good a kisser he was, she said: “Um yeah. He is pretty much awesome.”
The 30-year-old actress also claims she understands the cult appeal with Robert created by fans of his ‘Twilight’ character Edward Cullen.
She told E! Online: “I understand where they’re coming from. He’s an awesome human being. He’s so funny and quirky and weird.”
Robert is believed to be dating his ‘Twilight’ co-star Kristen Stewart, and Christina reveals the pair met up while she was shooting ‘Bel Ami’ with him in Budapest.
She said: “Yeah she visited. I love her, she is totally sweet. And he is great!”

The ‘Twilight Saga’ dominated the Teen Choice Awards last night (08.08.10) picking up an incredible haul of 11 prizes.
The vampire romance franchise won a total of 11 prizes at the ceremony, which was held at Los Angeles’ Gibson Amphitheater, including Choice Movie: Liplock for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s kiss in ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ and Choice Movie: Chemistry.
Taylor Lautner – who plays werewolf Jacob Black in the films – picked up the Choice Fantasy: Movie Actor and Choice Male: Hottie gongs, while co-stars Robert and Kristen won the Choice Summer Movie Star: Male and Choice Summer Movie Star: Female accolades respectively.
‘Twilight’ was not the only vampire drama to dominate the event, which was hosted by ‘California Gurls’ singer Katy Perry – who underwent several costume changes throughout the night appearing at one point as a prom queen.
Hit series ‘The Vampire Diaries’ scooped seven awards in the television category, including Choice TV Show: Fantasy/Sci-Fi, while the show’s leading couple Paul Wesley and Nina Dobrev won the Choice Actor and Choice Actress statuettes in the TV Fantasy/Sci-Fi category.
Sandra Bullock won the Choice Movie Actress: Drama award for her performance in ‘The Blind Side’, the role which also won her the Best Actress Oscar.
Kourtney, Khloe and Kim Kardashian were also on hand to accept the Choice TV: Reality Show accolade for their series ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’.
Kim tweeted after the event: “So much fun at the Teen Choice Awards tonight! I told Megan Fox she is the most gorgeous woman alive. (sic)”

Rumours: Is Kristen Stewart ‘Frantic’ About Robert Pattinson?

It seems Kristen Stewart is worried about the contatst pressure that fame is putting on Rob. It is rumoured that The Twilight hunk, who is one of the most sought-after bachelors in Hollywood, is too stressed out for the enormous pressure.
A source told Britain’s Look magazine, “Kristen’s absolutely frantic about Rob. She’s never known him to get so upset. He’s gone from obscurity to being one of the biggest stars on the planet and the pressure he is under is unbelievable.”
The source added, “She’s trying to keep his spirits up but she’s worried he needs more support than he lets on.”
Earlier in an interview when Rob was asked how he deals with fame he said, “I just try to keep working.”

Kristen Stewart has admitted she feels pressure from ‘Twilight Saga’ fans to get her character right.
The 20-year-old actress – who plays Bella Swan in the movie series opposite rumoured boyfriend Robert Pattinson as vampire Edward Cullen – admits she worries about what people think of her interpretation of the much loved character, who first appeared in Stephenie Meyer’s books of the same name.
She said: “It’s just surreal to be a crucial part of a machine like this. I’m sort of the vessel. These girls are obsessed with Edward through me. If I wasn’t right I’d be persecuted and put on a cross.”
However, the actress revealed that she loves her character and can’t wait to film the last two movies in the series, which are based on the final book ‘Breaking Dawn’.
She said: “I’m excited to go and do the next couple of years of Bella’s life.”
The US-born beauty also explained that was excited to make upcoming movie ‘The Runaways‘ – a biopic about rocker Joan Jett in which she stars alongside Dakota Fanning – and rushed to make it between ‘Twilight’ movies.
She said: “It was tough because I only had a really tiny window of free time, but I really wanted to make the movie. And I didn’t want to get any older than Joan was when she was in The Runaways. I just crammed it in and hoped it would work.”

He told Germany’s Sächsische Zeitung newspaper: “In Los Angeles I started using a delivery service which only delivers fresh and healthy food. Even in the morning I have a bag with healthy food delivered to me. I’ve never in my life lived as healthy as I do now.
“Of course I miss homemade food, but I’m on my own or on the go most of the time. And I can’t cook myself. I only just manage to make some toast. I don’t seem to have the genetic endowments for it. I’m incapable to tell what tastes good and what doesn’t.”

‘Twilight’s three lead actors are set to receive at least $25 million each for starring in the final two movies of the hit franchise.
As well as the enormous sum, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will also receive a share of the gross profits which could bring their total pay to $41 million.
Nymag.com reports that “Summit will pay stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner each a whopping $25 million against 7.5 percent of the theatrical gross for starring in the next and last two ‘Twilight’ movies, ‘Breaking Dawn’, parts one and two.”
The studio behind the movies Summit Entertainment re-negotiated the stars’ contracts earlier this year after deciding to split Stephenie Meyer’s final ‘Twilight’ book ‘Breaking Dawn’ into two movies.
The third film ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’, which has just been released, sees Robert as vampire Edward Cullen, Kristen as his human girlfriend Bella Swan and Taylor as werewolf Jacob Black reprise their roles.
Meanwhile, ‘Breaking Dawn’ screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg has revealed the last two movies in the series will be “sexier” than the previous three.
She said: “‘Breaking Dawn’ will be sexier. I think we can get awfully sexy with a PG-13, I’m not worried about the rating.”

He said: “In London recently, my hotel had really good room service and I just ate the same thing every day – chicken tikka! I crave a home-cooked meal sometimes, but I only know how to make a piece of toast.”
The British star also admitted spending so much time staying in hotels has made him lazy.
He explained: “Hotels have made me more lazy, you can throw the towel on the floor and someone picks it up, and there’s a mini bar.”

We played really fun competitions when we’d try and see who could do the circuit in the least amount of time.
“It’s such a hard life we have.”
Rather than be dismayed at the muscle-busting training, Ashley enjoyed the gruelling workout regime because it meant she didn’t have to count calories away from the set.
She added: “It was actually fun and kept us in shape, but it was really cool to get to learn different choreography and then at that point we could eat whatever we wanted – because we were working out so much.”

Robert Pattinson feels guilty ‘Twilight’ fans camped out for days to see him at the Los Angeles premiere of ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’.
The 24-year-old actor – who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the movie series – didn’t know how to react when he heard people had been sleeping outside as early as last Saturday (19.06.10) to catch a glimpse of him last night (24.06.10).
Speaking at the premiere, which was held at the Nokia Theatre, Robert said: “They’ve been camping out. Some of them have been camping out since Saturday, apparently.
“I spiral into this oblivion of guilt whenever they say that because I don’t know what to do. All I can do is sign.”
The British star admitted he wouldn’t be out late to enjoy the fun of the premiere as he had to work today (25.06.10).
He revealed: “I have to work tomorrow (Friday). I have got a 5am start on a film – ‘Water For Elephants’.”
Discussing the impending end of the movie franchise – only the two-part ‘Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ is left in the series – Robert said: “I like all the people that I work with and I guess I’m going to miss all the crowds as well.”
Robert was not the only major cast member to tread the special black carpet for the event.
Kristen Stewart – who plays Edward’s human girlfriend Bella Swan – wore a white dress by Elie Saab, while Taylor Lautner cut a dashing figure in a black suit and tie.
Kristen joked she wasn’t enjoying the glitzy event because of the size of her high heels.
She said: “I’m ready to go inside, but only because my feet hurt.”
