Lindsay Lohan and Dawn Holland — Peace Pow-wow?

Lindsay Lohan and Dawn Holland have quite the tumultuous history – but sources tell TMZ the pair might be meeting up soon to bury the hatchet … if LiLo is up to it.

We’re told Dawn wants to get together with Lindsay to make amends for the infamous night that brought them — and the Palm Desert Police Department — together back in December. Sources close to Holland tell us Dawn feels they both should apologize for what went down and resolving the situation would be good for Lindsay’s recovery.

As for Lindsay, we’re told she is aware of Dawn’s desire to meet … but she hasn’t decided.

Come on Lindsay, sit down and smoke the peace pipe with Dawn! Oh, wait …

Lindsay Lohan Case — Over and Out?

The lawyer for the woman who accused Lindsay Lohan of battering her says he’s been told … if his client submits a declaration to the D.A. stating she’s not pursuing the case, the investigation will be dropped … And she just submitted the declaration.

Dawn Holland, who has been fired from Betty Ford, says in the declaration — obtained by TMZ — “I do not desire Ms. Lohan prosecuted for the events of December 12, 2010,” adding, “I will not answer any questions to any policing or prosecutorial agencies regarding the events of December 12, 2010.”

Holland’s lawyer, Keith Davidson, tells TMZ, the D.A.’s Office informed him today … if such a declaration were filed, the case against Lindsay would be rejected.

The declaration follows an angry letter Davidson sent to the D.A., scolding prosecutors for trying to interview his client after she repeatedly told them she wanted nothing to do with the case.

The D.A.’s Office had no comment and says the matter is still under review.

Lindsay Lohan — DA Not Dropping Betty Ford Incident

The push to violate Lindsay Lohan’s probation will continue — the Riverside County DA wants further investigation into LiLo’s alleged violent incident at Betty Ford … TMZ has learned.

District Attorney Elect Paul Zellerbach met with his lead investigator and prosecutor this morning to talk about Lindsay’s altercation with Betty Ford Center employee Dawn Holland – who, by the way, doesn’t want Linds prosecuted.

Upshot of the summit — whatever the Palm Desert Police turned over wasn’t enough. The DA’s office says it needs more info to decide whether to charge Lindsay.

Palm Desert PD has been pushing to get Lindsay’s probation violated over the BFC incident.

Lindsay Lohan’s Sober Mentor — ‘Inception’ Star

Someone is trying to plant an idea in Lindsay Lohan’s head — about how to stay sober — and who better to do that than one of the stars of “Inception,” Tom Hardy.

TMZ has learned LiLo has a struck a friendship with Hardy recently after the pair were introduced my mutual friends. We’re told they even met for dinner one night last week.

Sources tell us Tom is giving Lindsay advice on how to stay sober and Lindsay is seriously listening to him. Hardy famously battled addiction early on his career and has been sober since 2003.

No word on if a totem is involved.

Lindsay Lohan won’t be living in her new Venice pad by herself — TMZ has learned she’s going to have a roommate ... and the girl will be staying there rent-free.

We’re told LiLo’s new roomie is a girl she met during her time at Betty Ford. According to our sources … the girl has been sober longer than Lindsay has (FYI — Lindsay celebrated four months of sobriety Friday).

Sources close to Lindsay tell us she feels it’s important to Lindsay to surround herself with other sober people. We’re told she’s helping the cash-strapped girl out … letting her live rent-free.

Seems Lindsay’s first role post-rehab … is that of a sugar mama.

Lindsay Lohan Power Meeting — Let’s Get Working

Lindsay Lohan just walked out of a BIGTIME meeting with a major celebrity jewelry designer – as well as key members of her team — in an effort to kick-start her post-rehab career.

Lindsay’s business date was with Pascal Mouawad — a jeweler who’s worked with stars like Heidi Klum and Nicole Richie.

We’re told the two sides discussed the possibility of creating an upcoming line together — the second time they’ve talked about teaming up. Back in 2009, they kicked around the idea … but nothing ever came to fruition.

However, this meeting was all business — because after the jewelry talk, we’re told Lindsay’s top people (lawyers, managers, etc) strategized about upcoming film projects and other career moves.

According to our sources, Lindsay has “multiple scripts” to consider.

Not among them … a biopic of a 1970s porn star.

SamRo Rolls Out Red Carpet for Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson were this close to becoming the new Hatfields and McCoys — but TMZ has learned the former couple just struck a truce over LiLo’s move to Sam’s block in Venice, CA.

Sources extremely close to Lindsay tell us she spoke to Sam this week and explained she had “no idea” she was moving in to the condo directly next door … and apologized for the surprise.

We’re told Sam bought it — go figure — and they ended the chat on good terms.

Our source says Linds is expected to move in any day now and, “Neither of them are mad at each other and everything has been cleared up.”

Lindsay Lohan’s ‘Special Friend’ Grilled By Cops

There’s a mystery man in Lindsay Lohan’s life who is getting badgered by cops determined to throw Lindsay Lohan in jail.

We’ve learned hours before Lindsay allegedly battered a Betty Ford staffer … she was hanging out in a hotel room with Adam Case, a fellow Betty Ford patient who spent a lot of time with LiLo over the last few months. In fact, Case took Lindsay back to her place when she was confronted by B.F. staffer Dawn Holland and saw the whole altercation.

Our sources say Palm Desert cops are convinced … Lindsay was drinking in the hotel room, and they think Case could be their star witness to prove it. They also believe Case saw Lindsay attack Holland.

Cops got a statement from Case the night of the incident, and he sided squarely with Lindsay. Dissatisfied, cops went back to Case the next day and grilled him again, to no avail.

But that wasn’t the end. Days later Palm Desert cops went to Case yet again and interrogated him over what Lindsay did in the hotel room — specifically, whether she consumed alcohol. Case said he never saw her take a drink. Cops pressed Case to get a copy of his hotel bill, but he refused.

As for what happened in the hotel room, Case says Lindsay spent an hour-and-a-half dying her hair, then hung out with him and a few other friends.

Case closed.

Lindsay Lohan’s friends visited her for the first time in rehab on Sunday — and we’re told they brought along a few special outfits just for the occasion … Halloween costumes!

We’re told English socialite Victoria Hervey and LiLo’s rumored lady friend Eilat Anschel teamed up with Dina to spread some Halloween cheer — bringing costumes to Betty Ford so they could all play dress up … and Lindsay had a blast.

Sources close to the actress tell TMZ, “Lindsay is doing incredibly well and making amazing progress.” Another source adds, “She seems so much stronger and confident.”

No word on the exact costumes she tried on — but we’re guessing they all involved Lindsay misrepresenting herself.

Lindsay Lohan — No Tricks, Yes Treats

Lindsay Lohan won’t be going door-to-door asking for treats this year — instead she’s having the candy come to her.

Sources close to LiLo tell TMZ she’s been receiving care packages of candy at Betty Ford from some of her closest friends. We’re also told Dina Lohan, her sainted mother, is scheduled to visit today and plans to bring a few things to satisfy Lindsay’s sweet tooth.

As for Halloween in Betty Ford, we’re told patients aren’t permitted to trick or treat from unit to unit and they don’t dress up — unless they just happened to pack a costume for their rehab stint.

That’s a shame … Lindsay would have made a great Snooki for Halloween.

Robert Pattinson takes six months to write a song

The ‘Twilight Saga’ actor – who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the film series – was an aspiring musician before he found success as an actor, but admits he has a slow work rate.

He said: “I write a song every six months. I never write a diary. I think that’s why it takes me so long. You have to summarise your personality changing.”

The actor, who plays piano and guitar as well as singing, has previously had two tracks he has performed, ‘Never Think’ and ‘Let Me Sign’ – both of which were written by other people – included on the first ‘Twilight’ soundtrack.

They were reportedly included by the film’s director Catherine Hardwicke, initially without the British hunk’s knowledge.

Robert has previously said he sees music as his “back-up plan” if being a film star fails, and that he believes he will be famous when he’s dead.

He said: “I am sure I’ll be one of those artists that people don’t pay any attention to while I’m alive, and when I am dead people will go yeah, man, that was a work of art.”

Lindsay Lohan Clothing Line — Sketchy

Lindsay Lohan was worried her clothing line would go belly up if she went back into rehab — but TMZ has learned the company is doing just fine with LiLo ensconced at Betty Ford … thanks to some LiLo sketches.

As TMZ first reported, Lindsay told her probation officer she thought the company, 6126, would fall apart if she went back to inpatient rehab. But a source close to 6126 tells TMZ the company hasn’t missed a beat … because Lindsay has been sketching like crazy since checking into B.F.

We’re told Lindsay doodled her designs for both the Fall 2011 collection and the Spring 2012 line.

We’re told Lindsay is actually a micro-manager, approving almost every detail.

But we’re thinkin’ … keep your eye on rehab, Lindsay.

Lindsay Lohan — Served at Betty Ford?

Someone tried serving Lindsay Lohan at Betty Ford – but the plot was foiled. Did we mention we mean served with legal papers, not alcohol?

A process server showed up at the Betty Ford Center last Sunday — to officially present Lindsay with a lawsuit which names her as a defendant.

In the documents — filed in federal court and obtained by TMZ — the process server explains he was not allowed to enter the rehab clinic … so his only course of action was to “substitute serve the guard.”

The suit was filed in April by a photog who claims he got stiffed on a LiLo photo shoot. The photog recently added Lindsay as a defendant.

No word if security delivered the papers to Lindsay, but it doesn’t matter — giving docs to security doesn’t count.

Lindsay — Work Can Be Hazardous to Her Health

Lindsay Lohan’s management team is already lining up projects for the actress as soon as she steps out of rehab in 2011 … but LiLo’s closest friends are concerned that rushing her back into the spotlight could be a dangerous move.

Sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ, Lohan’s team has been devouring movie scripts, furiously setting up meetings, and organizing fashion projects, all in anticipation of LiLo’s release from rehab — January 3, 2011.

But one friend tells us the people who still care about LiLo’s well-being feel that she “shouldn’t be working the first week. She shouldn’t be working the first couple months. She needs to be attending daily meetings to stay on track for sobriety.” Another adds, “Lindsay needs to focus on herself for some time.”

As we previously reported, LiLo has recently expressed concern about her career and her crumbling fashion line. But according to her probation officer, Lindsay also acknowledged that her “lifestyle” is filled with temptation.

Fortunately, Lindsay will have a couple of months to think about her next move.

Lohan’s Court Attire: Thumbs Up!

While Lindsay Lohan’s courtoom attire has been scrutinized in the past for being inappropriate—think overly stylish and revealing—the ensemble she wore this morning to court in L.A., is receiving a thumbs up from those in the know.

Lindsay—who will avoid jail for now, and stay in rehab at Betty Ford until January–wore a black blazer, light gray V-neck top, denim jeans, heels and a Chanel handbag, all of which trial consultant Sarah Murray says conveyed the right message. “She’s dressed in a way that is stylish to her audience, but it’s very careful and respectful at the same time,” says Murray, who works at San Francisco-based Trial Behavior Consulting.

Murray adds, “She chose subdued colors, which is always good in front of a judge, and her outfit suggests she is not depressed because she looks well put together.”

And even Lohan’s hair sent the message that she was ready for whatever ruling the judge was going to make. “Another plus, was that her hair was pulled back in a ponytail not to hide her face. By doing this it shows she’s putting herself forward, to face her ruling.”

Dina Lohan — ‘Beyond Excited’ Over Judge’s Decision

Sources close to Dina Lohan tell TMZ … Lindsay’s mother was shocked when she heard the judge order LiLo to rehab … because even Dina thought Lindsay was 100% jail-bound.

We’re told Dina and her other children are all “beyond excited” that Lindsay will be able to get the help she wants at Betty Ford … because “everyone thought she would be sentenced to jail for 30 days.”

As we just reported, Lindsay must remain in rehab until January 3.

Lindsay Lohan: Rehab Could Kill My Career

Lindsay Lohan told her probation officer that continued, inpatient treatment would be a hardship financially, and damaging to her career … this according to Probation Department docs obtained by TMZ.

It’s pretty stunning that Lindsay said this, since inpatient rehab was her only hope of staying out of jail.

The documents, prepared for today’s hearing, say, “The defendant says her clothing line is falling apart because she is not available to monitor the product.” She told the probation officer she’s scheduled to start working on a movie in November — we’re guessing it’s “Inferno” but the director tells us he will wait for her.

Although Lindsay says she thinks rehab has been a positive experience, the person who wrote the report says she “needs to continue to work on her issues in order to save her life.”

Live — Lindsay Lohan Faces the Music

Lindsay Lohan is either going back to jail or back to rehab this AM — and TMZ is live at the Beverly Hills courthouse to cover her case.

Lohan is set to go in front of the historically unforgiving Judge Elden Fox – who will ultimately decide if her probation-violating positive drug tests are going to land her more time behind bars.

Lindsay — Probation Dept. Unswayed By Rehab Stint

Lindsay Lohan’s voluntary stay at the Betty Ford Center isn’t impressing everybody — TMZ has learned the L.A. County Probation Dept. still wants LiLo to serve at least 30 days behind bars for her failed drug test.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the Probation Dept does not want Judge Elden Fox to cut LiLo a break during her probation violation hearing today … and will recommend that she serve at least 30 days in jail for testing positive for cocaine after she left her court-ordered rehab stint at UCLA.

The Probation Dept. carries some pretty powerful influence — but in the end, the decision will be up to Judge Fox.

The hearing is set to begin today at 8:30 AM PST — and we’ll be streaming the whole thing live.

Dina Lohan — In the Land of Lindsay

Dina Lohan was spotted out near Lindsay’s rehab facility Monday night — which means Michael Lohan was at least 100 or so yards away from where this photo was taken.

Dina is currently holed up at a hotel in Palm Springs, CA — which is a taxi cab ride away from the Betty Ford clinic in Rancho Mirage.

As we first reported, Michael tried to visit Lindsay yesterday — but claims he wasn’t allowed in the joint because Dina was armed with a protective order against him.

Lindsay — Going to Court, Begging for Rehab

Lindsay Lohan will obey the judge’s order – no small feat — to be in court this Friday … and TMZ has learned Sheriff’s deputies are ready to take Lindsay back to jail, if necessary.

Law enforcement sources tell us LiLo will indeed leave the Betty Ford Center – where she’s been in treatment since September 27 — to attend her probation violation hearing for a failed drug test. Judge Elden Fox had ordered Lindsay to be in court, but we know how that’s gone in the past.

A source says Lindsay’s legal team won’t dispute the violation of probation … but they’re hopeful Judge Fox will send Lindsay back to rehab and not to jail because any interruption would severely disrupt her treatment, and she “has come a long way” during her time at Betty Ford. We’re told Lindsay is ready and willing to stay in rehab for as long as Judge Fox wishes.

Just in case though — the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department has a plan in place to take her to jail. We’re told deputies, both undercover and in uniform, will be in the courthouse with a vehicle warmed up and ready to take Linds to Lynwood Correctional Facility … where she could be sentenced to a minimum of 30 days.

Michael Lohan Bails on Betty Ford Mission

Michael Lohan is giving up on his hell-bent attempt to see Lindsay inside the Betty Ford Center – and he claims Dina Lohan is the reason why he abruptly skipped town.

Michael says Dina showed up in Palm Springs yesterday armed with the protective order she has against Michael. The document states Michael must stay 100 yards away from Dina at all times.

Michael says he didn’t want to cause a problem for Lindsay during Dina’s visit — it’s Family Week at Betty Ford — so Daddy Dearest hightailed it back to L.A.
