An insider told The Sun newspaper: “It was an intimate party. They kept their engagement secret as they wanted to celebrate with their nearest and dearest before it became public knowledge.”

Kate’s Hollywood icon mother Goldie Hawn, 65, was believed to be among the guests in attendance after having been in the UK to present an accolade at the British Comedy Awards on Saturday night (22.01.11).

However, the couple – who have been dating for around nine months – could be set to move back to the UK on a permanent basis after Matt, 32, revealed plans for all of Muse to move to London to make writing and rehearsing for the band’s next album easier.

He told the Daily Star newspaper: “We’re all thinking of moving back to London, so it’ll be the first time we’re all going to be in the same place since we were much younger.

Rihanna reportedly insisted everything in her trailer had to be black during latest video shoot.

The singer was shooting the promo for new single ‘What’s My Name’ in New York over the weekend and surprised bosses with her rider, which stated furnishings, towels, robes and candles were all in the dark colour.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “Rihanna made very strict demands about her trailer. She was very specific that everything had to be black and the production crew did as they were told.”

Although she may have been demanding on the shoot, Rihanna recently proved she isn’t a diva after she stopped a restaurant manager from banning fans from taking her photograph.

The 22-year-old pop beauty was enjoying a meal out with friends at Ago, in West Hollywood, when two teenage admirers asked if they could pose for a picture with her.

However, the manager reportedly rushed over and scorned: “Fans are not allowed to bother celebrities, so no pictures, please!”

However, Rihanna quickly interrupted the manager and told him to leave them alone.

She said: “These girls are my fans and without them, I’d be nothing. So I’m happy to pose for a photo!”

Robert Pattinson has agreed to move to Los Angeles with Kristen Stewart

The secretive couple – who are believed to have been dating since meeting on the set of ‘Twilight’ in 2008 – are believed to be renting a $14,000-a-month five-bedroom house in the suburb of Bel Air in a bid to strengthen their relationship, despite the 24-year-old British actor’s original wish to move to New York.

A friend said: “I think when Robert really thought about it, he realised that as much as he’d like to live in New York, he doesn’t want to be anywhere without Kristen.”

The pair are hoping the move can cement their love for one another after their relationship became strained due to working commitments keeping them apart, with cracks showing when Kristen, 20, allegedly refused to attend the recent Teen Choice Awards in California with Robert.

A source told Look magazine: “Kristen is filming ‘On The Road’ in Montreal and could have gone to the awards, but didn’t want to have to face the media spotlight yet again, with questions about her relationship with Robert.

“As a couple in a long-distance relationship any moment they can spend together they should. Her refusal to go came as quite a shock to Robert, who feels they need to work on spending time together, regardless of the press spotlight.”

We’re told Heidi has agreed to listen to Vivid Entertainment honcho Steve Hirsch when he arrives in Costa Rica to make an offer on the footage … some of which is said to contain girl-on-girl action with Playboy Playmate Karissa Shannon.

We’re told Heidi wants Hirsch to provide her with the sales numbers on Kim Kardashian’s sex tape — which was also released through Vivid — because Heidi may be interested in working out a “back-end deal” if Steve can’t offer enough cash up front to satisfy Montag.

Joe Jonas — Ready to Fight Over Demi Lovato

Joe Jonas is prepared to go to war over a blog posting that insists he and his underage ex-girlfriend Demi Lovato are currently “friends with benefits” … in fact, Joe’s lawyers are already on the attack.

TMZ has learned … Joe’s attorney just fired off a letter to a Canadian entertainment blogger named Zack Taylor … blasting the guy for a story he posted which implied that 20-year-old Joe and 17-year-old Demi “are involved in an illicit relationship.”

In the letter, obtained by TMZ, Jonas’ attorney claims the story is “completely false, offensive and defamatory” — and accuses Taylor of a “malicious attempt to attack and devalue [Joe's] good name and reputation.”

Team Jonas is demanding that Taylor pull the post ASAP … or else a lawsuit may follow.

Zack Taylor had no comment on this story.

The 16-year-old singer prank-called the music star after stealing his number from the phone of his manager Scooter.

Scooter recalled: “He was like, ‘Daddy, why don’t you love me?’  It really scared the s**t out of Akon!”

Justin was later asked about his telephone tricks by a fan on twitter and admitted making joke calls to people is one of his favourite pastimes.

He tweeted: “R u Kidding of course I do!! I prank everyone!! No 1 is safe (sic)”

Although Justin is constantly surrounded by his management, bodyguards and publicist, the ‘Baby’ singer has also admitted he sometimes feels overwhelmed by the devotion he is shown by his friends.

He told New York magazine: “It’s definitely amazing to me that I have such amazing fans. But, like, at the same time, I mean… I’m claustrophobic, really bad. I don’t like to be closed in.”

Despite his comments, the singer is keen to stay close to his admirers, particularly his female fans.

Cops in Maryland hit a local bar this weekend after receiving a call from someone claiming 16-year-old Justin Bieber was inside boozing — but what they found … was a woman who looked just like him.

TMZ spoke with multiple people inside the “Mug and Mallet” bar in Ocean City who confirm that cops entered on Saturday night looking for an underage drinker with a bowl haircut and a tiny frame.

But the only person who fit that description was a 27-year-old woman named Katie.

Katie tells us she had to whip out … her ID and prove she wasn’t JB — though she says she gets mistaken for the singer, “all the time!”

If only the cops would’ve checked the real Bieber’s Twitter page — they would have known he was in The Bahamas with Kim Kardashian.

Robert Pattinson is claiming to be single.

The heartthrob actor has been dating his ‘Twilight’ co-star Kristin Stewart since meeting on the set of the movie but has reportedly been telling crew of his latest film ‘Water for Elephants’ he is not romantically involved with anyone.

An insider said: “Rob is not dating anyone. There are no plans for Kristin Stewart to visit the set and he tells everyone he is single.”

The 24-year-old star is starring alongside Reese Witherspoon and the chemistry between the pair is said to be “magic” as they meet for table readings before shooting begins.

The source added to the New York Post newspaper: “Rob worked with Reese seven years ago on ‘Vanity Fair‘. He had a tiny part and he joked with Reese that of course she didn’t remember him from their time together then.

“They joke a lot and Rob has her blushing and laughing all the time. He’s very charming. He went on about how she is this beautiful, super-famous Academy Award winner, and Reese loved it. It is rumoured that Kristen Stewart is being lined up to replace Angelina Jolie in ‘Wanted 2’.

The ‘Twilight’ beauty has reportedly been approached to replace Angelina as the female lead character in the sequel to ‘Wanted’ and has met with Timur Bekmambetov, the director of the series.

According to the E! News service Timur wants Kristen to play a new young assassin in the comic book adaptation – about a brotherhood of secret assassins who have control over secret superhuman abilities – alongside James McAvoy.

Angelina’s character, Fox, was killed off at the end of the first film, but Timur had previously told of his plans to bring her back in the second instalment.

He said: “We know how to do this, but it’s still tough to do, because there is a bullet inside her head.

“But there has to be a reason for her to come back – and we know the reason. I think we found the reason for her to come back.”

Angelina, however, has reportedly distanced herself from the project, reportedly leading to the studio behind the film unsure whether to fund it without a big female star, meaning Kristen could save the project.

Complications have arisen for the project though, as Kristen is scheduled to film the fourth ‘Twilight’ film, ‘Breaking Dawn’ – which will be released in two parts – around October this year; although the film’s producers have not yet specified a start date for shooting, which has affected actors involved with which other projects they are able to take on.

It was rumoured that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart might be doing reshoots of some scenes for the upcoming third installment of the Twilight Saga, Eclipse.

Earlier some of the rumors also claimed that David Slade’s relationship with Summit has been not great. But then it was confirmed that Slade still takes the directorial job.

A rep for Summit told Gossip Cop, “The reshoot was planned for months, like it is with the majority of films.”

Alhough many rumours claimed that Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner might be reporting back to Vancouver for reshoots, a rep of Summit Entertainment confirmed to E! News that ‘the production of Eclipse is running according to plan’.

Eclipse is being helmed by director David Slade, with Melissa Rosenberg returning as screenwriter.

The story opens with the revelation that Seattle, Washington is being plagued by a string of unsolved murders, which Edward suspects is caused by a new vampire that is unable to control its thirst for human blood. Edward proposes to Bella and, despite harboring an aversion to marriage, she accepts.

It is rumoured that Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning may be planning a trip to this year’s Coachella Music Festival. The 20-year-old Twilight sensation and her Runaways costar Fanning may be heading to the festival in California.

The 2010 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will be held April 16-18, once again at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California. The official lineup was announced January 19, 2010.

Kristen and Dakota’s recent movie ‘The Runaways’ had its world premiere at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival on January 24, and opened in North American limited release on March 19, 2010, followed by a wide release on April 9, 2010, which is also Stewart’s 20th birthday. Kristen Stewart portrays the character of Joan Jett, co-founding member and rhythm guitarist of the band and Dakota Fanning plays Cherie Currie, the band’s lead vocalist.
