Eminem is an “inspiring and intimidating” collaborator

Skylar Grey – who penned the rapper’s duet with Rihanna, ‘Love the Way You Lie’, as well as ‘I Need A Doctor’ for Dr. Dre – enjoys working with the ‘Real Slim Shady’ hitmaker because of his “rare” talent.

She said: “Eminem makes fun of me. But he’s a rare breed of an artist that doesn’t come along every day, so being able to be in a room with him and see his creativity at work was both inspiring and intimidating.”

Skylar also revealed that ‘Love the Way You Lie’ was inspired by the vicious cycle” of her relationships with “assholes”.

She explained to NME magazine: “It wasn’t necessarily about literal violence in a relationship, but that vicious cycle of somebody who keeps you on your toes because they’re kind of an asshole. I do tend to fall for assholes because they keep me on my toes and I don’t get bored. That’s what I wrote it about.”

Fire-fighters were called to a party thrown by P. Diddy after a model’s hair caught fire

The rap mogul was hosting a gathering in the penthouse of the London NYC hotel in New York on Tuesday night (14.12.10) when the bikini-clad beauty – who was in a bathtub – leaned over a candle and her set her hair alight.

Almost 200 people attended the event – which was originally intended for 20 people – and rapper Fabolous was the first to notice the flames according to P. Diddy’s associate Kevin Hart.

He told the New York Post newspaper: “Fab was the first person to see the fire. We put it out as quick as we could, I can honestly say.”

The unnamed model quickly dunked her head in the water but not before Fabolous took a picture and posted it on his twitter page.

He then tweeted a series of messages poking fun at the girl he has nicknamed ‘ShortyInTheTub’.

He wrote: “#ShortyInTheTubGot mad at me cuz I said I was a Heat fan.. Smh..#HotHeaded”, ”#ShortyInTheTubGot her Fire Marshall Bill on!! *smokin head*#LemmeShowYouSomethin” and “Somebody ask if #ShortyInTheTubGot a light. (sic)”

P. Diddy later tried to reassure the other revellers that everything was OK after the firefighters left.

He said: “The Fire Department just left upstairs. It’s crazy, but everything is under control.”

The rapper – real name Sean Combs – later posted a link to video footage of the incident on his twitter saying: “check it out>>its about to be the bathtub scene!! Lol (sic)”

Other celebrities who attended the event include Usher, Chris Brown and Alicia Keys’ husband Swizz Beatz.

Eminem’s worldwide fame makes it difficult for him to date

The hip-hop superstar – who has been single since splitting from his ex-wife Kimberley Scott – wants to be in a relationship but struggles to meet people because of his celebrity status.

When asked if he dates, he said: “Not really. As far as going out, like dinner and a movie – I just can’t. Going out in public is just too crazy. I mean, I’d like to be in a relationship again someday. Who doesn’t? It’s just hard to meet new people, in my position.”

It isn’t just fame which prevents Eminem from finding love, the ‘Slim Shady’ rapper admitted he finds it difficult to trust new people.

The star – real name Marshall Mathers III – explained to Rolling Stone magazine: “I have trust issues. With women, friends, whatever. You always wonder what their real motives are. I’ve got a small circle of friends, and it’s a lot of the same friends I’ve known forever.”

Eminem has battled an addiction to prescription drugs in the past and says he is now focusing on keeping himself healthy.

He said: “Right now, that works for me. I came out of some difficult things these past couple of years. I kind of feel like I’m just now finding my footing. So I want to make sure that’s secure before I go out and do anything else. I need to keep working on myself for a while.”

Eminem has a 14-year-old daughter Hailie, his child with Kimberley, and two adopted girls Alaina, the child of Kimberley’s sister, and Whitney – Kimberley’s daughter from a previous relationship.

He is also the legal guardian of his younger half-brother Nathan.

T.I. Won’t Be Charged in L.A. Drug Arrest

T.I. is finally getting a break — TMZ has learned the L.A. County District Attorney has rejected the drug case stemming from his arrest last month … and we’re told there may have been legal problems with the case.

As TMZ first reported, T.I. and his wife were busted back on September 1 for possession of a controlled substance.

According to the D.A.’s Office, they are not going forward with charges because, in essence, he’s already been sentenced to prison since the arrest was a violation of his federal probation.

However, law enforcement sources tell TMZ, there were significant legal issues over probable cause which led to T.I.’s arrest.

Cops claimed they smelled marijuana but no pot was ever booked into evidence. And, we’re told …T.I. was pulled out of his $250,000 Maybach immediately after he made the illegal U-turn and prior to any registration check.

Mystery Group Begs Judge — Don’t Jail T.I.

New court documents have just been filed in an attempt to keep T.I. out of the slammer — and instead move him into a rehab program … problem is, T.I. has absolutely no idea who made the request.

A ticked off citizen filed documents in federal court in Atlanta, arguing that the courts are pissing away tax dollars by jailing T.I. for a recent drug possession arrest … so the person filed a motion to toss out the jail sentence.

The mystery person identifies him or herself as “Citizens of the State of Atlanta Georgia – they even provided a signature …

Neither T.I.’s people nor the prosecution have any idea what the group is … besides being an organization of some kind that failed geography class.

T.I.’s lawyer, Steve Sadow, tells TMZ that despite the well-intentioned gesture — he has no plans to appeal the judge’s sentence.

PS — We spoke to the guy T.I. talked off the ledge the other day … he swears this isn’t his doing.

T.I. Gets Cut by AXE

T.I. has officially been dropped by AXE deodorant company … after a judge decided to toss him back into federal prison for violating the terms of his probation.

A rep for the company tells TMZ, “We will no longer feature T.I. in our promotional campaign” — a decision that comes one month after the company publicly stated it was “troubled” by T.I.’s recent arrest for drug possession.

T.I. signed with AXE earlier this year … he’s already been removed from their website.

T.I. — He’s Got a Thing for White Russians

T.I. loves him some White Russians … and we don’t mean Oksana Grigorieva — seems the rapper ordered a pair of em right after he was sentenced to 11 months in prison.

After T.I. got the bad news on Friday, he headed from the court to Mary Mac’s Tea Room in Atlanta with a few family members and friends. They ran up a $224.73 bill — which included several orders of fish and chicken, plenty of sides, and a few alcoholic beverages … including the aforementioned Kahlua-based drinks.

The only way T.I. will get a White Russian for the foreseeable future … is from a conjugal visit.

T.I. Suicide Intervention — The 911 Call

TMZ has obtained the 911 call which alerted authorities about the suicidal man who rapper T.I. eventually talked down from a ledge.

As we previously reported, T.I. recorded a video message that cops played to the man as they attempted to talk him down off the ledge of a building.

T.I. has said he wants to keep in touch with the man.

T.I. — I Will Keep in Touch with Suicidal Man

Rapper T.I. tells us he has “every intention” of staying in contact with the suicidal man he talked off the ledge of a 22-story building in Atlanta yesterday … telling us he’s determined to help the guy “get better.”

TMZ spoke with T.I. … who tells us he first heard about the jumper on the radio and, “It summoned my heart, my spirit. I said to myself … I gotta help.”

T.I. says he then proceeded to go to the scene … and explains, “I just asked the officer if there was anything I could do to help resolve this peacefully.”

The cops told the jumper that T.I. wanted to talk to him … but the jumper didn’t believe it at first, so “to assure him that it was really me they recorded a video message on the cops cell phone and took it up to him …15 minutes later the guy came down peacefully.”

T.I. says he told the man, “I want to speak to you, and that it’s not that bad. I’m willing to do whatever it is to help the situation, but I can’t do that unless you help me help you.”

Once the man agreed to move from the ledge to the lobby, T.I. says he told the man, “No matter how bad things get they get better … if you unplug the game then you don’t get extra men … when it gets bad, you feel bad, but it can get better.”

T.I. insists he wants to stay in touch with the man — saying, “I’ll do anything I can to help things get better.”

As we previously reported, the suicidal man was taken into police custody — but we’re told authorities are not expected to press any charges against him.

Petey Pablo Surrenders to Feds Over Gun Charges

Platinum rapper and alleged airport gun smuggler Petey Pablo has turned himself in to federal authorities in North Carolina … TMZ has learned.

As we previously reported, a federal judge issued a warrant for Petey – real name Moses Barrett III – for that whole “bringing a gun to an airport on 9/11″ thing.

Sources close to Petey tell TMZ the rapper wasn’t aware of the warrant until we called his people for comment … but he immediately made plans to cooperate with authorities upon learning about his situation.

Pablo was in custody for only a few hours yesterday, before being released on his own recognizance.

According to the terms of his release, Pablo must report to a U.S. probation officer — and submit a complete itinerary of any travel plans one month before he travels anywhere. Also, he has agreed to refrain from “excessive alcohol” use and will submit to drug testing.

Petey’s due back in court in November — but according to court docs, Pablo has opted to use a public defender citing an inability to pay for a lawyer himself.

Judge to Tila Tequila: C’mon … You Love Sex Tapes

Tila Tequila’s love of publicity … and possibly sex tapes … just bit her in the butt in court.

Tila’s lawyer, Alan Gutman, just asked an L.A. County Superior Court judge for an injunction, prohibiting the release of one of her sex tapes. Gutman argued the tape — shot more than 7 years ago during a trip with her boyfriend — was an invasion of privacy and a misappropriation of her image.

But the judge scoffed, saying privacy, schmivacy: “Tila exploits her sexuality.”

In the end, the judge said Tila’s lawyer hadn’t made enough of a case to warrant a restraining order.

50 Cent and Chelsea Handler went to a bar in New Orleans last night … and by the way they got up close and personal with each other, they gave some serious credibility to those dating rumors.

But before 50 got cozy with Chelsea, dude knocked out a live freestyle set with a local band at the club.

T.I. Probation Revocation Hearing Set

T.I. has 11 days to get his story in order — because on October 15, he has to go before a federal judge to plead his case not to have his probation revoked.

T.I. was busted last month on felony possession of a controlled substance – and he just happens to be on probation for a 2009 federal gun possession conviction.

So on October 15, T.I. will go before a judge and hope his probation isn’t revoked.

Tila Tequila Sex Tape War!!!

Tila Tequila is so crazy … just one sex tape isn’t enough. We’ve learned there are two tapes, two different partners with two different sexes, and two porn companies bidding for both.

One of the companies, Vivid Entertainment, wants both the girl-on-girl and guy-on-girl configurations — but another company has already gotten a hold of one of the tapes and is angling for the second.

A source close to the negotiations tells us it’s an all-out porn war to sign Tila and distribute the tapes.

Of course neither company can do anything without Tila’s permission. We’re guessing that won’t be a problem.

Tila tells TMZ, “If anyone out there is trying to leak a private and personal sex tape of me that was not meant for the public, I will swiftly deal with my lawyers!”

Kid Cudi Pleads Guilty to Possession

Rapper Kid Cudi pled guilty to a misdemeanor drug possession charge … and all he has to do is a little community service.

Cudi was busted back in June after an argument with a girl led to cops finding a controlled substance on him.

He pled guilty on Friday to criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree (how many degrees are there?) and was sentenced to two days of community service. He also has to stay out of trouble for the next six months.

T.I. Arrest — Evidence of Sizzurp

Rapper T.I. may have been sippin’ on sizzurp after all the night of his felony drug possession arrest – because cops say dude had the main ingredient, codeine, when he was busted.

T.I.’s probation officer just filed documents in Georgia that say L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies found codeine, marijuana and ecstasy in T.I.’s possession during the September 1 arrest.

As we first reported, T.I. had several Styrofoam cups in his Maybach that night. Sizzurp — aka codeine syrup — is commonly served in Styrofoam cups.

The document also states that T.I. tested positive for opiates the day after the arrest, but does not name a specific drug. Neither marijuana nor ecstasy are opiates.

Petey Pablo — The Gun In My Bag Wasn’t Mine!

Petey Pablo — the platinum rapper who allegedly tried to smuggle a gun into an airport on 9/11 — claims there’s actually a heroic reason why the pistol turned up in his luggage.

As we previously reported, Pablo — real name Moses Barrett III — was arrested on Saturday at RDU Airport in North Carolina after a TSA officer found a Smith & Wesson pistol in his carry-on.

But Petey’s rep tells us the rapper can explain — claiming the gun actually belongs to one of his friends. And last month, Petey learned that said friend planned to use the pistol to “do something crazy” … so Petey stepped in and literally took the weapon away.

The rep tells us Petey stashed the gun in a luggage bag so his friend wouldn’t find it — and when he was asked to hop on a last-minute flight to L.A., he grabbed the loaded bag without thinking.

Petey was arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a stolen firearm. He’s due back in Wake County Court October 4.

T.I. — Rapper Might Get AXE’d Over Arrest

T.I.’s ecstasy arrest has caused a serious stink with some of his sponsors — in fact, TMZ has learned the people behind AXE body spray are considering kicking the rapper to the curb.

A rep for AXE tells TMZ they’re “troubled by [T.I.'s] arrest” and have been forced into “reviewing our promotional activities” with the rapper. Translation — it doesn’t look good for T.I.

T.I. — real name Clifford Harris — locked down a deal with AXE earlier this year after promising the company that he was “working to become a more positive role model.”

So far, T.I. is still featured on the company’s website … but it smells like that could change at any moment.

The 39-year-old star – who was an original member of New Kids on the Block before quitting because he didn’t like their musical style  and going on to find fame as rapper Marky Mark – admits he realises now he wasn’t as cool as he once thought.

Asked how he feels about his singing career, he said: “Ah man, embarrassed. I thought I was so cool back then, but when I see the footage, I was such an a*s.” However, his family won’t let him forget his solo career and a nickname from the era still plagues him.

He told FHM magazine: “I remember seeing this thing on VH1, some Sexy People Of The 90s show. My brother Paul was watching with me and my assistant they were just killing themselves with laughter.

“To top if off I was number one! So for ages afters whenever they’d call, they’d be, ‘Can we speak to the Sexiest Man Of The 90s please?

TMZ has obtained the mug shots taken by T.I. and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle — right after they were arrested on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood late Wednesday night.

As we first reported, the newlyweds were arrested around 10:18 PM yesterday after cops say they were in possession of a controlled substance. We’re told the substance in question is ecstasy.

The drugs found in the car that rapper T.I. and his wife “Tiny” were riding in Wednesday night were in fact ecstasy pills … law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

Sources say the lab determined the pills were ecstasy after running them through the proper tests.

As we first reported, T.I. and “Tiny” were busted for felony drug possession after cops pulled them over on the Sunset Strip for pulling an illegal U-turn … then found a controlled substance in the car.
