David and Victoria Beckham are set to move to New York

The superstar couple currently live in Los Angeles – where David plays soccer for Los Angeles Galaxy – but also have homes in their native London and the South of France and are now set to splash out on a luxurious Manhattan home as fashion designer Victoria wants to be there for her work.

Victoria reportedly told a friend: “My work is so important to me and LA just isn’t a real fashion city.”

A source added to Now magazine: “Her friendship group in LA has disbanded and David was travelling a lot more than she’d anticipated and so was she. It just seemed to make sense for her to be based in fashion capital New York. It’s closer to London and Europe for her business meetings.”

However, David still has a contract with his club so the couple – who have three sons together – will keep their Beverly Hills home, which he will use as base while playing.

The source continued: “David’s used to flying a lot but this will be the first time he’s been permanently based so far from his team. If he has a few games in a row, he’ll stay in Los Angeles. This isn’t a decision they’ve come to lightly. They still like LA and have no plans to sell their home there but being based in Hollywood doesn’t appeal to them anymore and they feel it’s time for a change.”

Victoria Beckham thinks fake tan looks “a bit footballer’s wife”

The 36-year-old former Spice Girls singer – who is married to soccer star David Beckham – admits she has previously experimented with giving herself a bronzed glow but has now realised it is not a good look for her.

She said: “I don’t wear fake tan anymore. Sometimes I’ve been turned orange but that’s definitely a look from my past.

“Being overly tanned is very ageing and, dare I say it, a bit footballer’s wife. I’m a little tanned from being in Los Angeles but I don’t use self-tan. Embrace your natural colour!”

Though she hates fake tan, Victoria has a lot of beauty products she uses regularly and she admits one of the reasons she joined twitter was to share her tips with her fans.

She said: “I love sharing my favourite beauty finds, I’m not one to keep beauty secrets.

“I love Chanel, Stila and Armani. I’m obsessed with the new Burberry Lip Gloss Nos. 9 and 10. I tweeted about it – everyone has to get one.”

Goldman Lawyer Rips O.J. for Taped Confession

O.J. Simpson is a “professional liar” according to Fred Goldman’s lawyer (and just about everyone else) — who is lashing out after Simpson’s admission that he hid his fortune from Fred Goldman.

David Cook tells TMZ, “We sat down with this guy over many years and repeatedly and consistently asked him about his valuable assets. If he made any misstatement it’s simply perjury.”

In the upcoming documentary, “O.J. Monster or Myth?” Simpson confesses that he gave away assets to friends — all in an effort so Goldman wouldn’t be able to collect on the $25 million judgment he was awarded when the civil jury decided Simpson killed his wife and Ron Goldman.

Cook added, “We are watching him pervert the American justice system.”

Maurice Clarett — Running Back in Action

Clutching the football like his life depended on it, former NFL prodigy Maurice Clarett smashed his way back to the gridiron yesterday for a workout with his new UFL squad … and TMZ obtained the pics!

Sporting his old lucky number 13, Clarett — now 26-years-old — looked pretty good during his first full practice with the Omaha Nighthawks.

As you may remember, Clarett was arguably the best player in college football back in 2002 … when he led Ohio State to an undefeated season and a BCS National Championship.

Soon after that season, things went south for Clarett … starting with some drama involving the NFL Draft … a few arrests … and a subsequent prison stint.

But now, Clarett is back and ready to make his comeback … and it looks like he’s taking his second chance pretty seriously.

U. of Georgia Investigates Football Star

TMZ has learned the University of Georgia is investigating whether football star A.J. Green partied on South Beach at the same bash that’s launched investigations at three other colleges.

A source closely connected to Georgia’s athletic department tells TMZ the wide receiver allegedly attended a party at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach on Memorial Day weekend.  Partying alone isn’t a crime under NCAA rules — Green is 21 years old — but if someone paid for anything related to Green’s trip … that could be a violation.

The University’s Compliance Department tells TMZ, “This is the first we’ve heard of anything involving A.J. Green.”

In recent weeks, there have been reports that three other schools — South Carolina, North Carolina, and Alabama — are also investigating athletes for attending the same party.

Lawrence Taylor — I Pleasured Myself, Not Her

Sources directly connected with Lawrence Taylor tell TMZ the NFL legend’s defense to rape is masturbation.

We’re told Lawrence will not deny he was in the same room as the 16-year-old prostitute, but his lawyer will argue Lawrence did not have sexual intercourse — an element of third degree rape.

As one source put it, Lawrence engaged in a “masturbatory act” and that was it.

According to New York law, “A person is guilty of rape in the third degree when … he or she engages in sexual intercourse with another person less than seventeen years old.”

Interestingly … in the criminal complaint against the alleged pimp, authorities allege Taylor engaged in “sex acts” but there is not mention of sexual intercourse — a requirement for 3rd degree rape.

As TMZ first reported, a condom was found in Taylor’s hotel room, but sources say Taylor’s lawyers will argue the condom wasn’t his and he didn’t use it.

Taylor’s lawyer, Arthur Aidala, has said flatly, his client did not have sex with the girl.

Nutrisystem Drops Lawrence Taylor

The people at Nutrisystem just got rid of a quick 230 pounds — as in, they just fired Lawrence Taylor due to the “severity” of the allegations he’s facing in his statutory rape case.

TMZ spoke to a rep at the weight loss company, who told us, “We are shocked and saddened by these very serious allegations against Lawrence Taylor.”

The rep added, “Based on the severity of these allegations, Nutrisystem has made the decision to sever our relationship with Mr. Taylor effective immediately.”

And Nutrisystem really does work fast — they’ve already replaced Taylor’s image on their website with slimmed down San Diego Padres star Matt Stairs.

The heat is clearly on Lawrence Taylor … TMZ has learned his wife just canceled her interview with Larry King.

Lynette Taylor was supposed to appear on King’s show via satellite from Florida … but she just 86′d the interview … we’re told her husband’s legal team has something to do with it.

We’re told Lynette says she’ll appear on King’s show next Monday or Tuesday.

Larry … don’t hold your breath on this one.

LT’s Wife — My Husband Has Been ‘Set Up’

Lawrence Taylor’s wife is standing by her man while he faces allegations of rape — telling TMZ she believes the entire incident is one big “setup.”

TMZ just spoke with Lynette Taylor — LT’s 3rd wife — who tells us the allegations are “all bullsh*t.”

As for why she suspects a setup, Lynette claims that the timing of the arrest is suspicious because it came just days after LT was featured on an A&E documentary called “Fame and Recovery” which she believes “made him out to be a monster.”

Lynette wouldn’t expand on who she thought could be behind such a plot, but she was adamant that the timing of the show and the arrest were no coincidence.

Cops Find Condom in LT Investigation

TMZ has learned investigators recovered a condom from the Holiday Inn hotel room where NFL legend Lawrence Taylor allegedly raped an underage girl early this morning.

According to the Town of Ramapo supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence, investigators found LT asleep inside the room when they first arrived to the hotel.

We’re told cops recovered a condom as well as other physical evidence when they took LT into custody. Cops tell us they found NO DRUGS or paraphernalia at the scene.

As for the accuser, cops confirm that she’s 16-years-old … and that she was reported as a “runaway” from the Bronx back in March.

Cops also confirm that the accuser was under the control of a pimp, who was arrested by the NYPD when he — along with the accuser and a third person — returned to the city today.

Cops say the accuser had a “nasty” black eye that appeared to be “fresh” — though it’s unclear who attacked her.

David Beckham is to be given rap lessons by Snoop Dog.

The England soccer player – who recently met up with the rapper when they filmed an advert for Adidas together – goes “way back” with Snoop and the hip-hop star has offered to teach him how to spit lyrics

while he recovers from a ruptured Achilles tendon.

The 38-year-old musician said: “Beckham and I go way back. He’s like a brother. I’m gonna show him to rap, for shizzle. He’s my boy. He was terrific with my kids and they had a great time as he taught them how to shoot and score the perfect goal.”

Snoop has also promised the pair will star in more Adidas adverts together.

He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “The Adidas ad was unbelievable. You had four classic brands – Snoop Dogg, David Beckham, ‘Star Wars’, Adidas. With a formula like that it’s gonna be off the chain. Be on the lookout for more of that in 2010 – we got more for yo a*s. We’ve spoken, yeah, it’s gonna be huge. Huge. I love soccer just as he loves hip-hop.”

David, 34, is not the only person ‘The Malice in Wonderland’ star wants to work with.

Snoop is also keen on a collaboration with Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle.

The couple apparently started their new sex regime during an Easter holiday in the Caribbean but have now briefly parted ways as David recovers from a ruptured Achilles tendon in Los Angeles and Victoria is in London for work.

A family friend told The Sun newspaper: “David was relieved to get a break. He’s not complaining. But with all the strapping on his foot just getting about is hard enough, let alone bedroom gymnastics five times a day. Vic is desperate to get pregnant and has a timetable for sex.”

David, 34, is apparently “exhausted” from his 35-year-old spouse’s demands and is trying to recuperate quickly before they reunite on Monday (12.04.10).

The friend added: “From what David’s said it basically means he must be on continuous standby. He’s exhausted and is just trying to get his energy back for Victoria’s return.”

The couple were expected to start trying for a baby after this summer’s World Cup soccer tournament but have decided to extend their brood earlier now David has been ruled out of the England squad because of his injury.

The sportsman and wife Victoria Beckham spent several days at the actor’s villa in Laglio, on Lake Como, last year while he was playing for soccer team AC Milan and are now hoping to purchase the lavish 30-room property after the ‘Burn After Reading’ star decided to sell up.

According to Italian newspapers, David told pals: “I have fallen in love with the beautiful countryside. It’s peaceful, quiet and near Milan. It would be great for the family.”

However, the couple – who have sons Brooklyn, ten, Romeo, seven, and five-year-old Cruz – face competition from Russian vodka billionaire Tariko Roustam, 47, who is said to have offered an amazing £30 million for the property – ten times the asking price.

However, it is believed negotiations with the Beckhams are at an “advanced” stage and they are favourites to land the house.

The couple’s bid has also received the backing of Laglio’s mayor Roberto Pozzi.

He said: “It would be a shame if George went because he has become one of the locals and we have grown fond of him. Everyone has seen him when he comes over and he is always friendly.

“I know the Beckhams stayed at the villa last spring but I never saw them – if George does leave then I hope the Beckhams do buy the place as it will keep a touch of glamour in Laglio.”

Since George bought the house for £10 million in 2002, property prices in the area have increased significantly.

The soccer star – who lives in Los Angeles with his wife, former Spice Girls singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham, and their three sons – approached the creators of the hit US animated comedy series to make a cameo appearance but was turned down as show chiefs didn’t feel Americans knew enough about him.

Al Jean, the show’s principal writer and executive producer, said: “We get a lot of requests from celebrities, and it’s always a shame when we have to turn people down.

“We had a request from David Beckham and I had to phone him up and tell him sorry but I didn’t want him on the show right now. I didn’t think he was a big enough star for an American audience.

“I got a lot of grief about that. Some people got really angry about it and I was told, ‘I bet you would have put George Best on.’ I can pretty much say I would have turned him down too.”

David isn’t the only star to have left the team behind ‘The Simpsons’ unimpressed, with Rolling Stones rocker Mick Jagger’s diva-like attitude leaving many unhappy when he recorded a guest role.

Actor Hank Azaria, who voices characters including Chief Wiggum, Apu and Moe, revealed to Live magazine: “They sent me down to greet Mick Jagger when he arrived to record his part, and I said, ‘Hey, Mick, we’re thrilled to have you here.’ And he kind of blew right by me like I was the greeter, and went, all dismissively, ‘Yeah, we’ll get it.’ It made me a little bit annoyed. The former Spice Girl splashed out £2,000 on the pet pooch for the soccer star and gave it to him during the family’s festive celebrations at their UK home Beckingham Palace, in Hertfordshire.

The as yet unnamed mutt will soon be flown out to Los Angeles to live with the couple and their three sons – Brooklyn, ten, Romeo, seven, and four-year-old Cruz.

Victoria, 35, chose that particular breed because it is synonymous with the fighting spirit of the England soccer team and the country.

A family friend told The Sun newspaper: “David absolutely loves the bulldog. Victoria said she chose the breed because it is a symbol of David’s spirit on the soccer field. He will be flown out to Los Angeles so the boys can look after it when their dad is away.”

The dog is the third canine addition to the Beckham household. David, 34, already has two Rottweilers named Snoopy and Puff after rap superstars Snoop Dog and P. Diddy, formerly known as Puff Daddy.

David and Victoria spent Christmas Day (25.12.09) with their children, British TV chef Gordon Ramsay, his wife Tana and their four children, David’s parents Sandra and Ted, his sister Joanne and Victoria’s parents Tony and Jackie.

The Bulldog is one of the UK’s four national animals and during World War II British Prime Minister Winston Churchill was commonly referred to as the ‘British Bulldog’ and characterised as the animal to represent his unbreakable spirit.

The soccer ace – who is married to former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham – isn’t a fan of “crowd participation” and gets nervous when he goes to dinner with Eva Longoria Parker because she likes to get everyone involved.

During an interview US TV star George Lopez, he said: “Eva’s got this whole thing – and her husband Tony – about playing games… I get so uncomfortable with crowd participation. We were at dinner once with Tom and Katie… We sat there and everyone was like, ‘Let’s play a music game – let’s start a singing game.’

“That’s my worst nightmare. I kind of get uncomfortable with it.”

David also gave George an impromptu haircut after the host asked the fashion conscious sportsman – famous for his many different cuts – for some style tips.

David, 34, said: “If you want me to give you some kind of haircut – my mum’s a hairdresser so I’ve inherited that a little bit.”

He then took off his suit jacket and gave George a “bro-hawk”.

Last year, Victoria revealed she and David participated in a conga with Tom and Katie following David winning the title with Spanish team Real Madrid in 2007.

She said: “When Tom and Katie both came to Madrid to watch David when he won the championship, that night we all went to a Spanish restaurant and we were having fun and Tom started serenading Katie. He was singing ‘You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling’, which of course he sang in ‘Top Gun’, then we all did a conga around the Spanish restaurant. They really know how to have a laugh.”

The American football star was thrilled when the Brazilian supermodel delivered their newborn son yesterday (09.12.09) but admits it was tiring for everyone involved.

He said: “It is a wonderful experience in my life. It went great. I didn’t get much sleep, but I think that’s most of us around here this time of year. I think everyone is doing well.”

Tom already has a two-year-old son, John, with former girlfriend Bridget Moynahan and the actress has congratulated her ex-beau and his wife on their arrival.

She said: “I wish Tom and Gisele the best with their baby. I’m sure my son will enjoy having a half-sibling. I ask the press to respect our privacy while we are welcoming this new addition to our extended family.”

It was recently revealed Gisele didn’t want to know whether or not she was expecting a boy or a girl even though Tom had already found out.

The 32-year-old sportsman revealed: “I’m really the only one that knows at this point. My dad asked me. I haven’t told him. Gisele doesn’t know. It’s a pretty good feeling knowing something that no one else knows.

“She’s a very intelligent woman. I wanted to find out and she didn’t, so she said, ‘Go ahead.’ It will be a surprise for her.”
