The NFL player popped the question to the former ‘Hills’ star on a romantic trip to Cabo, Mexico, in April an although the couple were busily preparing for a spring wedding next year, friends have revealed Jay “dumped” his fiancee.

A source said: “She got dumped. She’s absolutely devastated. She can’t believe this is happening.

“She was planning her dream wedding, the date was set, the location – everything was set. She’s in shock that the dream wedding she was planning is going to end this way.”

Kristin – who dated Chicago Bears quarterback Jay for 10 months before they got engaged – spend Saturday night (23.07.11) being comforted by pals heiress Nicky Hilton and model Alessandra Ambrosio at The Beverly in Los Angeles, where she was spotted without her engagement ring.

An onlooker told People: “She was hanging out at a table with Nicky Hilton and Alessandra Ambrosio. She was telling friends how they called off the engagement.”

The shock break-up comes just a week after they held a party to celebrate their upcoming nuptials with Krisitin tweeting: “Thx to all my amazing friends for making my engagement party a blast last night! (sic)”

Kristin has previously dated ‘Laguna Beach’ co-star Stephen Colletti and Brody Jenner, who she starred with in ‘The Hills’.

Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton are reportedly engaged

The ‘X Factor’ judge and the Formula One driver – who have been dating on and off for the past four years – are set to marry after Lewis popped the question, according to Nicole’s father.

Alfonso Valiente – who split from Nicole’s mother Rosemary when she was six but remains close to his daughter – told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: “You know about the proposal? Yes they are engaged.

“My future son-in-law is a really nice guy, really down-to-earth.

My family all like him. The good spirit is there.”

Alfonso, 52, says he first met Lewis last year after the couple spent a week with him and his family on the Hawaiian island of Oahu and the sportsman left a good impression.

He said: “When he walked into the house for the first time he picked up one of the babies. That went down very well.

“He is sincere and he and my daughter seem genuinely happy together. Lewis is a really good guy. When they came to visit, we hired them a Jeep because he had never driven one before.”

While a spokesman for 25-year-old Lewis refused to confirm their engagement, Nicole recently revealed how she wants to settle down and have children.

The 32-year-old singer said: “Do I see us getting married and having children? My head says yeah, but I’m really focused on my music now and I think that will come in time.

“I think I’ll be really strict like my momma, maybe even worse. I won’t let my children out of the house! I’ll make them listen to classical music.”

The 30-year-old socialite is planning her wedding to Kris Humphries, who she has been dating for six months, and admits her elder sibling – who has 18-month-old-son Mason with partner Scott Disick – is particularly pleased about the nuptials because there is no longer so much focus on her own relationship.

Kim said: “Kourtney doesn’t like all the big weddings and big ring thing so she said she’s been relieved of a lot of pressure because my mom and everyone was pressuring her and Scott to get married.”

Kim also admitted she will adopt Kris’ surname privately but is still unsure what to do in her professional life.

She explained: “I think at home and privately for sure I’ll change my name.

“A lot of my brands have Kardashian in them. So maybe I’ll make it Kim Kardashian-Humphries. I think I will always have Kardashian just for work. But at home it’ll be Humphries.”

Kim Kardashian has become engaged to Kris Humphries

The 30-year-old beauty – who has been dating the basketball star for six months – went into “shock” when she walked into her Beverly Hills home to see him on one knee holding a 20.5 carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond ring.

She said: “I didn’t expect this at all. I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now.”

Kris had Kim’s mother Kris Jenner on hand to help him pick the ring, and the pair celebrated with all of her family after she said yes.

She added to People magazine: “Kris really didn’t want a big celebration, but he had jokingly told my mom he’d be fine if there were mini-horses there.

“Later that night at the party, my mom brought out two mini-horses, covered in glitter, for us. It was hysterical!”

Socialite Kim has previously said she has not been able to find any fault with him since they began dating.

She revealed: “I think I haven’t found one thing wrong with him, let’s just put it like that.”

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick are engaged

Scott is believed to have got down on one knee in the final episode of Kourtney and her sister Kim Kardashian’s reality show ‘Kourtney and Kim Take New York‘ – and now the pair are in talks for their own spin-off show, which will revolve around their wedding plans.

The plans come after the 31-year-old socialite’s other sister Khloe Kardashian signed up to star in her own show revolving around her life with her husband, Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom.

An insider told PopEater.com: “The last episode of ‘Kourtney and Kim Take New York’ is Scott proposing. Then just like sister Khloe and Lamar, Kourtney and Scott will not only get their own show but also a wedding. It’s going to be TV gold.”

Kourtney’s mother Kris Jenner will assist on the show for E! which will see her daughter and future son-in-law – who have a 14-month-old son Mason together – plan their big day.

The source added: “What is going to make this new show a monster hit is that Scott and Kourtney are actually happier than ever. Heading toward the alter is the next step for them with or without the cameras.”

Natalie Portman has announced she is both engaged and pregnant.

The actress is set to wed ballet choreographer Benjamin Millepied, and the couple are also expecting their first child in spring 2011.

Natalie told EW.com: “I have always kept my private life private but I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience.”

The pair met on the set of ‘Black Swan’ last year, in which Natalie portrays a troubled ballet dancer and Benjamin – who is classically trained and studied at the School of American Ballet as a teenager – was one of her choreographers on set.

The couple have kept their relationship out of the public eye, and did not even pose together on the red carpet at the film’s premiere, but 32-year-old Benjamin – who was born in France – has revealed he was “blown away” by Natalie’s acting ability and insists she was “amazing to watch”.

Natalie, 29, trained for up to eight hours a day for her role as the character Nina in ‘Black Swan’ and claims living the “monastic” life of a ballet dancer helped her get into the right mindset for the role.

She explained: “You are constantly putting your body through extreme pain, so you get that understanding of the self-flagellation of a ballet dancer.”

Israeli-American Natalie has also previously said she would like to raise her children in the Jewish faith.

She said: “A priority for me is definitely that I’d like to raise my kids Jewish, but the ultimate thing is to have someone who is a good person and a partner.”

The 32-year-old actress – who previously dated ‘American Pie’ actor Chris Klein – recently admitted she is at her happiest and most productive in her career when she is in love.

Playboy boss Hugh Hefner is to marry 24-year-old model Crystal Harris.

The 84-year-old publishing mogul took to twitter to announce the engagement – which happened on Christmas Eve (24.12.10) – adding the blonde Playmate “burst into tears” upon seeing the ring.

He wrote: “After the movie tonight, Crystal & I exchanged gifts. I gave Crystal a ring. A truly memorable Christmas Eve. (sic)”

When questioned on twitter if the ring was part of a proposal of marriage, he said: “Yes, the ring I gave to Crystal is an engagement ring. I didn’t mean to make a mystery out of it. A very merry Christmas to all.”

Although she did not tweet personally about the engagement, Crystal did thank her online followers for their words of support.

She said: “Thank you to everyone, I really appreciate all of the kind tweets! Much love to you over the holidays. (sic)”

Zara Phillips has announced her engagement to rugby player Mike Tindall.

The 29-year-old equestrian – who is the daughter of Princess Anne and her first husband Captain Mark Phillips – has announced she is to tie the knot with the England rugby star after seven years of dating.

A statement on the British Monarchy’s official twitter page said: “The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Zara Phillips to Mr. Mike Tindall.”

The couple have made no secret of their plans to get married in the past, with Mike admitting the only thing standing in the way of their dream “white wedding” is Zara’s eventing career.

He recently said: “I don’t think it is about whether we will get married but when. There is no doubt that I love Zara but it has to be the right time.

The ‘Still The One’ singer and Frederic Thiebaud are set to marry after the Swiss-born Nestle business executive popped the question two months ago in his native country.

A friend of the singer told Us Weekly magazine: “I’ve never seen Shania so happy. She has ended up with the love of her life.”

Shania was previously married to Robert ‘Mutt’ Lange but their 14-year union ended in May 2008 after he embarked on a relationship her friend and Frederic’s ex-wife Marie-Anne Thiebaud and she has often spoken about how her new fiance helped her through the tough times.

Writing on her official website, she called Frederic “a dear friend and true gentleman … We leaned on one another through the ups and downs, taking turns holding each other up. We’ve become stronger and closer through it all”.

Shania – who has a nine-year-old son, Eja, with her ex – has previously admitted she wanted to “go away and disappear” when her marriage ended.

Kate Winslet is moving her children Joe and Mia back to the UK while her estranged husband Sam Mendes films the new James Bond movie

The Oscar-winning actress – who announced she was splitting from the director in March 2010 – thinks it wouldn’t be “fair” to deprive him of seeing his seven-year-old son and 10-year-old stepdaughter from a previous relationship and will take them to London so he isn’t far from them.

Kate – who currently lives in New York City – said: “Sam is doing the next Bond film, all being well, and we’ll all be in England if that happens.

“It’s such a massive commitment for him and it’s not fair for him to commute backwards and forwards to New York from London. It would be impossible. The children will be there with me.”

Discussing their split, the 35-year-old British screen beauty insists she and Sam are still good friends who have a lot of “respect” for each other.

After he makes the James Bond adventure, Kate could even see her working with the 45-year-olf filmmaker again, following the critical success of their 2008 movie ‘Revolutionary Road’.

She added to the Daily Mail newspaper: “I can see us working together again – that’s the way it is.

“We’re really good friends and have very good respect for each other. I can see it, but you’d have to ask Sam what he thinks.”

Prince William and Kate Middleton will marry on April 29, 2011, it has been announced.

The couple – who revealed their engagement to the world last week – will tie the knot at Westminster Abbey in London and the date will be a public holiday in the UK.

The venue has extra significance for William as it was the venue for his mother Princess Diana’s funeral in September 1997.

At a briefing at St James’s Palace, the prince’s private secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton said: “The couple have chosen to be married at Westminster Abbey on the Feast of St. Catherine on Friday 29th April.

“The couple were moved to choose the venue because of its staggering beauty, its 1,000 years of royal history and its relative intimacy, despite its size.

“The venue has long associations with the Royal Family – it is in many ways the Royal Family’s church – and of course with Prince William personally.

“They’re on cloud nine like any other newly engaged couple and they’re now getting stuck into organising their wedding. I’ve never seen two happier people which is fabulous.”

British Prime Minister David Cameron has confirmed the day will be a national holiday, saying: “The wedding of Kate and William will be a happy and momentous occasion. We want to mark the day as one of national celebration – a public holiday will ensure the most people possible will have a chance to celebrate on the day.”

It has been revealed the cost of the wedding and honeymoon is going to be shared by the Royal Family and the Middletons, but the costs incurred for things such as security and policing will be will be picked up by taxpayers.

Mr. Lowther-Pinkerton added: “The details of who pays for what haven’t been worked through yet but the Middleton family are very, very keen to contribute.

William – who is second in line to the British throne – and Kate want the nuptials to be “a classic British occasion” and “a classic example of what Britain does best”.

Britain’s Prince William is to marry Kate Middleton

The 28-year-old royal – who is second in line to throne behind his father the Prince of Wales – will marry 28-year-old Kate next year following a secret engagement during a holiday to Kenya last month, Clarence House have confirmed.

A statement read: “The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton.

“The wedding will take place in either spring or summer next year in London. Further details about the date and venue will be released in due course.”

The pair began dating eight years ago while they both studied at St. Andrews University in Fife, Scotland.

William – the eldest son of Charles and the late Princess Diana – has previously revealed he planned to get married at the age of 28 or 29, although later said he regretted the statement.

He said: “I was young, I’d had a few drinks… what can I say? I wish I had kept my big mouth shut!”

The singer-and-actress is set to wed NFL star Eric Johnson after he proposed to her on Thursday (11.11.10), six months after they started dating.

Her representative said: “Yes, I am excited to confirm that they are engaged.”

The 30-year-old star – who was previously married to Nick Lachey for three years until they split in 2005 – showed off her diamond engagement ring yesterday (13.11.10) during a photocall in Kansas while promoting her Jessica Simpson Collection fashion line.

The ‘Come On Over’ hitmaker began dating Eric in May, three months after the sportsman filed for divorce from stylist Keri Johnson.

It’s pretty ironic — Charlie seems to have a more stable relationship with his ex-wife than his current one, Brooke Mueller.

The 20-year-old ‘Harry Potter’ actress – who has been studying for an English Literature degree at Brown University in America since September 2009 – admitted she often wishes she could take time out from working and studying.

She said: “I need to have more fun, like anyone my age! I’m always working, I’m addicted to work. My head needs to rest.

“I don’t have an ordinary day because I’m trapped between two different lives. One day I’m filming, the next I’m off to college, the next day I’m home, then I’m designing clothes. There are no typical days for me.”

The British star also admitted she regrets taking life so seriously and urged her young fans to stay true to themselves.

She told Mexico’s Seventeen magazine: “I think you should be yourself because otherwise, you’ll be on the wrong path and the results are not gonna be pretty. Be yourself, be honest. Don’t take it too seriously, that’s been one of my biggest mistakes. You’re young, just have fun!”

However, the actress revealed she is happy she decided to combine studying with her acting career as she wanted to experience a more ordinary life.

She said: “Education is very important to me, I like to learn. I wanted to have a normal experience and a life outside of the entertainment industry.”

Oksana to Oprah: I Didn’t Know Nothin’ ‘Bout Money

Oksana Grigorieva has told producers on “Oprah” she had absolutely no idea during her mediation with Mel Gibson she was scoring a $15 million package in return for handing over the secret tapes … sources tell TMZ.

Oksana will fly to Chicago — probably this week — to tape her show with O. We’re told during a phone conversation with the producer during a pre-interview — regarding claims she tried to extort money from Mel — Oksana said she never authorized her lawyer to get money in return for the tapes.

An inside source connected with the mediation laughed at Oksana’s claim of ignorance. When asked where Oksana lands on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being micromanaging the mediation, the source said, “Probably an 11.”

The source added the mediation was only supposed to last one day, but it took twice as long because “Oksana was all over it, making demands, getting involved in every conversation, and on and on.”

Faith Evans Charged with DUI

Faith Evans — a singer once married to The Notorious B.I.G. — has been charged with two counts of DUI … TMZ has learned.

The L.A. City Attorney filed the case.  If convicted, Evans faces a max of 6 months in jail.

As we first reported, Faith was arrested on August 21 at a DUI checkpoint near the Marina Del Rey section of L.A.

Nick Prugo Arrested on Old Charge

TMZ has learned Nick Prugo — the alleged ringleader of the Burglar Bunch – has been arrested again … but this time for something that happened when he was just 16.

Prugo was arrested today and booked as a juvenile and later released to his parents. Sources tell us he was picked up at his house by four officers and brought in to the police station.

We’re told the case has something to do with an incident that went down three years ago — but it’s unclear exactly what it is. Prugo’s attorney tells TMZ he believes it has to do with a burglary. Shocker.

As we previously reported, Nick was recently indicted on seven counts of first-degree residential burglary and one count of conspiracy for allegedly burglarizing the houses of a number of celebs … including Lindsay Lohan, Audrina Patridge and Orlando Bloom.

Emma Watson couldn’t speak for three days after her photographs from the ‘Harry Potter’ set were destroyed

The 20-year-old actress splashed out on an old-fashioned film camera to help her remember her final days working on the wizard film franchise, but was left “devastated” when an assistant accidentally ruined the entire set of images.

She said: “I wandered into a second-hand camera shop, and this very nice gentleman persuaded me I needed an old black-and-white film camera. I realised I hadn’t taken any photos of the last 10 years, so this time I’ve been bugging everyone.

“It takes me about 10 minutes to take one because I have to work out the aperture, the shutter speed, the focus and everything. But the girl who was helping me develop the film accidentally turned on the light in the dark room and wiped everything. I couldn’t talk for about three days, I was devastated.”

Emma has now vowed to shun more traditional types of photography and will only use high-tech gadgets and software.

She added to Empire magazine: “Forget the arty cool effect of using old film cameras. It’s b*****ks. Digital cameras and Photoshop is the way to go.”

The final installation of the franchise, ‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows’, is to be released in two parts. The first will open in cinemas in November, and the second in July next year.

Mel Gibson Cop Interview — 3rd Time’s the Charm?

It seems the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department just can’t get enough of Mel Gibson.

We’ve learned Sheriff’s investigators already have interviewed Mel twice in connection with his claim that his baby mama Oksana Grigorieva extorted him — and now we’ve learned they may want a 3rd shot at Mel.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the Sheriff’s Dept. has more questions for Mel — strongly suggesting they are taking his extortion claim against Oksana seriously.

Our sources say the investigation is at least two weeks away from coming in for a landing … and possibly longer.

When the investigation is complete it will be referred on to the District Attorney. The D.A. will ultimately decide whether or not to charge Oksana with extortion and/or Mel with domestic violence.

Levi — The Video That Doomed His Engagement

TMZ has uncovered the storyline for the music video starring Levi Johnston that pissed off Bristol Palin so much — that she considered it the “final straw” in her engagement.

As we previously reported, Bristol claimed she was furious when she found out Levi was doing a video “mocking my family” … and dumped him soon after.

Now, we’ve obtained the “script” for the video in question — for a song called “After Love” by Brittani Senser — in which Levi plays a man who is seemingly threatened by his lover’s mother … in order to get him to get out of her daughter’s life.

But here’s the part that may have REALLY pissed off Bristol — in the video, the girl’s mother uses a police officer to arrest Levi and drag him to an empty parking lot … where she confronts him and forces him to open a mysterious manila envelope.

Levi opens the package — and his face turns “pale” at its contents.  The mother then makes Levi call up her daughter and break things off … with the insinuation that she would expose something if he refused.

Levi has previously denied the video was “mocking” the Palins … but what do you think?.

The hotel heiress sparked rumours she has accepted a proposal from former ‘The Hills’ star Doug when she accepted an award for her charity work over the weekend.

During her speech at the Hearts for Hope benefit in Los Angeles, she said:  “I’d like to thank my future sister-in-law Casey Reinhardt.”

If Doug, 24, has proposed he needs to look no further than his mother for inspiration for a wedding ring.

A source added to E! Online: “At one point, Paris reached for Doug’s mom’s huge wedding ring. She looked like she was in awe.”

Paris, 28, has made no secret of the fact she wants to get married this year.

Speaking about Doug, she said last month: “I wouldn’t rule out a wedding in 2010. With how amazing everything is going between us, I see a very bright and happy future.

“He’s taught me how real love can feel. Doug’s taught me how to grow up and become more domestic, as in not going out as much as I used to.”

Doug – who reconciled with Paris last August following a brief split – is also completely smitten with her.

He added: “Paris is the most beautiful girl in the world. She is gorgeous, smart, funny and kind. My family loves her, and she would make the perfect wife.”

Her family loves her so much they would even pay to hang out with her – at the Hearts for Hope benefit Casey bid $6,000 to attend a party picnic at Paris’ house.
