Rihanna has mended her long-running feud with her estranged father

The 22-year-old beauty – whose strained relationship with former drug addict Ronald Fenty for worsened after he spoke to the media about her assault at the hands of then-boyfriend Chris Brown in February 2009 – reconciled with her parent in her native Barbados over the festive period.

Ronald, 57, said: “I saw her twice before Christmas and she came to see me on Christmas Day (25.12.10). She showered me with gifts, a lot of stuff, many shirts and cologne. She’s always really generous.”

Though Ronald knows he can never be as close to the ‘Russian Roulette’ hitmaker as he once was, he is happy to be her “friend” again.

He said: “Maybe we’re not as close as we were when she was growing up here and was at school. But we are blood, we do not stay angry and we are friends again.”

Rihanna originally fell out with her dad after he turned up drunk to one of her shows and trashed her tour bus in 2008, and Ronald – who has now given up alcohol – admits he was not surprised by how he was treated in the immediate aftermath by his feisty daughter.

He explained to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “We did have a disagreement about the drinking on the tour. I got plastered on the tour bus. I can drink rum or beer but vodka does not like me – or gin.

“She blasted me for that – she was always lippy from her small days. I was picked up from the hotel in the morning and I was just shuttled to the airport.”

Rihanna has previously revealed her childhood was blighted by her dad Ronald’s drug problems and eventual split from her mother when she was 14.

Michael Lohan — This One’s for You, Lindsay!

Sometimes a heartfelt phone call or letter just won’t do — sometimes you need to hire an R&B singer to write a dance song for your estranged daughter while she’s in rehab. That’s how things work in the Lohan family.

Michael Lohan tells TMZ he has commissioned Delious Kennedy, one of the members of the Grammy winning group All-4-One, to write and perform a track dedicated to Lindsay.

Michael says the song — a companion piece of sorts to Lindsay’s 2005 track “Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)” — is about a “talented and beautiful young lady who has grown in our hearts, she is badgered by paparazzi, cut down by the media … She will wilt, but when she falls, I will always be there to pick her up and put her pedals back on.”

Kennedy tells TMZ the song — entitled “My Rose” — is a club track with a dance vibe like Usher or Lady Gaga. Kennedy says he recorded the song last week, played it for MiLo last night and he “loved it.”

Kennedy gave us a sneak peak at the chorus, which goes something like this: “The girl is like a rose garden. She falls back, springs forth and grows stronger with thorns.”

Make some room on the mantle boys … we sense a Grammy in your future.

Taylor Swift’s dad sells her T–shirts at her shows

The 21-year-old country singer’s father Scott is her biggest fan and likes to be heavily involved at her concerts to show his support for his famous daughter.

Taylor explained: “My dad is adorably optimistic, positive, pie-in-the-sky. He thinks every new song I write is my best. He sells T-shirts at my merchandise stands and hands out guitar picks to fans.”

Many fans have met Scott while at Taylor’s shows, and said how friendly he is.

One US fan, Emily, told how she met the former stockbroker at a concert in Washington DC.

She wrote on a fan site in June this year: “I got pit passes and met Scott (Taylor’s dad for anyone unaware) He came out and gave us guitar picks then my friend and I talked to him for a minute or two by the soundbooth during ‘Hey Stephen’.

“I was so close to hugging Taylor but she had to turn around and go the other way to get back to the actual stage. But I touched her hand at one point during the show. And she looked right at me during ‘Fifteen’ on the moving stage.”

Taylor also told how she takes elements of her mother’s personality into her onstage persona too.

She said: “Mom is a planner, an organiser. She’s very strong and practical. She’s the person that’ll tell me if I ever start to change my personality. The balance of the two of them created my personality.”

Britney Spears’ parents have got back together

Lynne and Jamie Spears – – who have three grown-up children, Britney, Bryan and Jamie-Lynn – divorced eight years ago after 30 years of marriage but friends say they have now reconciled and are happier than ever.

One pal told People magazine: “They are back together and are doing well and happy. They’re not remarried but back together.”

The couple were recently spotted at Los Angeles bar Boudoir and onlookers say they were having fun as they danced to some of daughter Britney’s greatest hits.

One said: “They were in a great mood together. They were laughing together – dancing and laughing and totally having fun.”

Lynne’s friends are said to be thrilled for her, with one family pal saying: “Lynne is a dear, sweet person. She deserves happiness. As her friend, my wish for her would be a happy ending.”

While Lynne and Jamie are now back together, it remains to be seen what Britney thinks of the news as she has previously spoken of her relief at her parents’ divorce.

She said: “It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to my family. My mom and dad, bottom line, do not get along. When I was a baby, they argued.”

Miley Cyrus would give up all her success and riches if it would keep her parents together

The ‘Hannah Montana’ actress and singer reportedly blames her popularity for parents Billy Ray, 49, and Tish, 43, filing for divorce after 17 years together, and would give everything up if it would mean they work things out.

A source close to the star told website Popeater.com: “It’s heartbreaking. You would think someone like Miley has everything in the world, but I guarantee she would give it all up in a second if it kept her family together.

“I’m sure when she blows out her birthday candles in a few weeks her wish will be for mom and dad, not her career.

“Every marriage struggles when a child leaves home and the relationship gets re-examined, but add on top of that that every second of the past decade Billy Ray and Tish have spent building a star together, they have forgotten to make time for each other.”

Part of the reason former country singer Billy Ray – who also appears in ‘Hannah Montana’ – and Tish are splitting is said to be because Miley, 17 – whose career is said to be worth over $50 million – has been so successful, and now she is old enough to look after herself, they don’t have other things to work at together.

Another source added: “Both parents have been equally involved in making their daughter a superstar.

“And now that they have achieved their goal they have nothing to work towards anymore and nothing to keep them together.”

Billy Ray filed divorce on October 26, and asked people to pray for him and Tish to help them through the difficult and emotional time.

The pair are expected to file for joint custody of their three youngest children: Miley, 17, Noah, 10 and Braison, 16.

Billy Ray is also stepfather to Tish’s two children from a previous relationship, Trace and Brandi.

Billy Ray Cyrus wants joint custody of Miley Cyrus and her siblings

The ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ singer – who is separating from his wife Tish after 17 years of marriage – filed for divorce on Tuesday (26.10.10) and legal documents state he wants to share parental responsibilities for their three youngest children, Noah, 10, Braison, 16 and 17-year-old Miley.

In the papers, he asks to “share the care, custody and control” of the trio.

The documents also state he “has no information of any custody proceedings” and the reasons behind the marriage’s breakdown were listed as “irreconcilable differences”.

After filing the papers in the Chancery Court of Williamson County, Tennessee, the 49-year-old country star started getting spiritual on his twitter account – and posted extracts from Psalm 91 from the Bible.

He wrote: “He will cover you with his feathers and under his wings you shall take refuge. Truth will be your shield and buckler.”

Billy Rae also asked his fans to pray for others during his difficult time.

He added: “Can I ask for your prayers this morning for my children…our troops…the hungry…the sick…the homeless. AMEN. (sic)”

Billy Rae married Tish in December 1992 and as well as having three children together he adopted Tish’s two children, Brandi and Trace, from her previous marriage.

He also has a son, Christopher, from his relationship with Kristen Luckey.

Miley Cyrus’ parents are to divorce

Singer Billy Ray Cyrus and wife Tish Cyrus announced they have separated after 17 years of marriage and filed divorce papers this week citing “irreconcilable differences”.

In a statement, they said: “As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for our family. We are trying to work through some personal matters. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers.”

Friends say it was inevitable the couple – who have three children, 17-year-old Miley, Braison, 16, and 10-year-old Noah – would split but insist nobody else is involved.

One pal said: “It was a long time coming. It is the best thing for both of them.”

Country singer Billy married Tish in December 1992 and as well as having three children together he adopted Tish’s two children, Brandi and Trace, from her previous marriage.

He also has a son, Christopher, from his relationship with Kristen Luckey.

The family initially lived on a 500-acre farm near Nashville, Tennessee, before moving to Los Angeles following the success of Miley’s TV show ‘Hannah Montana’, which Billy also appears in.

Michael Lohan — Scarface

TMZ has obtained photos of Michael Lohan’s slash wounds on his neck and arm — which he claims he suffered during an attack outside of his Santa Monica home late last night.

Michael claims his attacker used a “sharp object” to slice through his flesh. Judging from the overlapping scratches on his neck — the suspect either took two swipes at Mike’s head … or used two sharp objects.

So far, the suspect is still on the loose. Cops are investigating.

Joe Jackson — I Want A Half A Billion Bucks

Michael Jackson’s dad, Joe Jackson, wants somewhere between $10 million and $500 million from Dr. Conrad Murray to compensate him for the loss of his son’s support … this according to new documents obtained by TMZ.

In the docs — part of Joe’s wrongful death lawsuit — he claims the money he seeks is in “the realistic range of provable damages.”

Joe says 20% of his damages are for loss of support, 40% are for emotional distress and 40% are for “loss of comfort, aid, society and companionship.”

And this is huge … Dr. Murray says he’s broke and can’t settle anything because his insurance company is refusing to cover him.

Joe’s lawyer, Brian Oxman, also says he may take the depositions of more than 60 people who have info regarding Jackson’s death.

Dr. Murray says in his new filings he does not want to sit for a deposition until after the criminal case runs its course. It’s a whole 5th Amendment thing.

Michael Lohan’s Conservatorship Try Has Britney Ties

TMZ has obtained letters sent to Michael Lohan from his lawyers concerning Michael’s attempt to put Lindsay Lohan under the control of a conservatorship — and wouldn’t you know it … Britney Spears’ name came up.

The letters make several mentions of trying to curb Michael’s antics with the media — including his uninvited trip to the Betty Ford Center. Lohan’s headline-grabbing ways are deemed by his lawyer as being “against my express advice.”

But when it comes to actually trying to get Lindsay under a conservatorship, that’s when the Queen Conservatee comes up. The lawyer mentions a Dr. Stephen Marmer as having been used as an expert on Britney’s case. But the lawyer concludes, “Frankly, I do not think he would agree to be retained as an Expert in this case.”

It doesn’t end there — Dr. Robert Bilder, another doctor who worked on the Spears conservatorship was brought up: “He worked on the Spears Conservatorship and would be an excellent expert witness in this case.”

Calls were made to both Dr. Marmer and Dr. Bilder — we never heard back.

Michael Lohan — I’ll Become a Drunk For Lindsay

Michael Lohan is telling people he’s going to intentionally fall off the wagon and check himself into the Betty Ford Clinic to be near Lindsay Lohan — and stage his own arrest if necessary to get his daughter’s attention.

We’re told Michael is going to show up at Betty Ford and demand admission. He will stage his own arrest — to show everyone how much he cares about his daughter.

Michael is saying he’ll make one more trip to Betty Ford to attempt to see Lindsay. If she won’t let him in, he’s going to get all drunk and then go back and make a scene.

Michael Lohan: Dina Screwed Lindsay Up, Too

Michael Lohan is lashing out at claims he’s the root of Lindsay Lohan’s problems — what with the violence, prison stints and general bad behavior.

Michael tells TMZ … Dina was violent as Lindsay was growing up, and it left an impression. Michael claims when Lindsay was 4-years-old, Dina was arguing with his mom and Dina allegedly smashed a phone across grandma’s face, requiring six stitches.

And Michael says, on another occasion — when Lindsay was a teenager — Dina went nuts on Michael, flew over two beds to get at him and accidentally knocked herself out.

Michael adds it was Dina’s idea to leave Lindsay in Hollywood at a very young age, even though LiLo had a stalker.

As we reported, some members of Lindsay’s family tell us … Lindsay believes her current predicament is the result of Michael’s craziness.

Lindsay Lohan: Thanks Dad, You Created This

Lindsay Lohan is doing a lot of thinking at Betty Ford, and she’s already reached one big conclusion — she’s in the mess she’s in largely because of daddy Michael Lohan.

Some of Lindsay’s friends and relatives tell us … LiLo is spending a lot of time talking to counselors about the path that led her to drug and alcohol addiction. And she’s convinced the nightmare of growing up in such a dysfunctional family has taken its toll.

Lindsay repeatedly talks about allegations Dina made in her divorce papers … that Michael abused her. Lindsay says she witnessed it firsthand, and it’s still tough to deal with. In particular, Lindsay claims she had to step in and protect her mother from Michael. Michael has denied allegations of physical abuse.

Our sources say Lindsay talks a lot about growing up with a dad who was periodically behind bars. Add to that — she moved out to L.A. at a very young age, with almost no parental supervision.

And, Lindsay believes, the tabloid scrutiny of her life has taken its toll.

And that’s just scratching the surface …

Katherine & Joe Jackson Do ‘Oprah’

Katherine and Joe Jackson sat down with Oprah Winfrey this weekend to tape a segment for O’s show … and TMZ has the first photos.

As we first reported, production trucks for Oprah’s show were parked outside the Jackson compound in Encino for the better part of Saturday. In the photos, Oprah can be seen meeting with several family members and getting the tour of the house.

We’re told the interview focused heavily on Michael Jackson (duh) — talking about his life, his kids and the book Katherine put together about his life.

No word yet on when the episode will air.

Betty Ford Sends Michael Lohan Packin’

Michael Lohan knows how hard it is to make it in the big city — he can’t even get into rehab.

We’re told Michael headed for the desert last Thursday … to Rancho Mirage, home of the Betty Ford Center and temporary digs of Lindsay Lohan.

Michael was turned away by security. He was told visiting hours were over. Michael tells us he asked if was on a “no contact” list and they told him no. But we’re guessing his name is right under Osama’s.

Michael says he’s been on the horn with people at Betty Ford, asking them to please involve him in family therapy with Lindsay.

New Claim: Michael Jackson Supported His Dad

Michael Jackson secretly supported daddy Joe Jackson … according to new legal docs.

In legal docs filed in Joe’s wrongful death case against Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael’s former alleged manager, Leonard Rowe, wrote a sworn statement in which he claims Katherine acted as Michael’s agent, funneling money to Joe for support.

And Joe’s lawyer, Brian Oxman, wrote his own declaration in which he claims he prepared financial docs for Michael during his 2004 custody battle with Debbie Rowe. In those declarations, Oxman claims Michael disclosed he was giving Katherine $50,000 a month in the early 2000s and later it went up to $66,000. Oxman says Katherine used part of the money to pay for Joe’s living expenses.

The legal docs are being used in the wrongful death case to prove Joe has standing to sue — in other words, he must show Michael had been supporting Joe during his lifetime.

Michael’s camp had no comment.

Michael Lohan Goes Conservator Shopping

Michael Lohan thinks the guy in this photo could save Lindsay Lohan’s life.

Michael Lohan is eyeing Dana Cole, a prominent Los Angeles criminal defense lawyer, to serve as the conservator for Lindsay Lohan.

The two met on Thursday, though we’re told Cole did not sign on — but he listened.

As we first reported, Michael wants to file for a conservatorship, but he knows the judge would never appoint him as a conservator … for numerous reasons.

But Lindsay is adamant … she’s not going under a conservatorship — period.

Lindsay: Don’t Even Think About a Conservatorship

Lindsay Lohan has made it clear … she will personally go to court and fight like hell if anyone tries to put her under a conservatorship ... sources with first-hand knowledge tell TMZ.

Lindsay is saying no matter where she is — and she’s at Betty Ford right now — she will come to court and go after anyone who tries to create a conservatorship.

But there’s one proviso. Lindsay could end up in rehab for a long time. There could be problems handling Lindsay’s business affairs while Lindsay is otherwise engaged, so there’s a real possibility a trust will be created — at least temporarily — to handle financial matters.

Michael Lohan Makes Move for Conservatorship

Michael Lohan will ask a judge to establish a conservatorship for Lindsay Lohan … TMZ has learned.

Michael met with attorney David Chon today and will hire him to file conservatorship papers … Chon specializes in trusts and estates.

We’re told Michael has enough sense to know the judge isn’t going to make him the conservator, so he has two other people in mind … though he’s not saying who.

Michael is saying, he doesn’t want Dina Lohan or Lindsay’s business manager, Lou Taylor, to handle Lindsay’s affairs because “they’re in it for themselves.”

Our sources say Michael plans on filing a petition for conservatorship “within days.”

Linsday Lohan’s Lawyer Threatened by Michael

Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, worked miracles running back and forth to court Friday to spring her client from jail, but it wasn’t good enough for Michael Lohan. TMZ has learned daddy Lohan left a voicemail and texts on Holley’s phone, threatening to “blow you out of the water.”

Source tell us the voicemail — left earlier in the week — also threatened to “dig up dirt” on Shawn, as well as Lindsay’s business manager, Lou Taylor.

Michael left two text messages on Holley’s phone Friday after the court hearing, telling her she should do Lindsay a favor and quit. In another text, Michael claimed Holley and Taylor were destroying the Lohan family.

Michael went nuclear at the Bev Hills Courthouse Friday morning after Judge Elden Fox threw Lindsay in jail. Fox’s decision was reversed later that day after Holley filed an appeal, and Lindsay got out of jail Friday night.

We’re told Holley, who could not be reached for comment, will not seek a restraining order.

It’s just Michael being Michael.

Michael Lohan — Jesus Is Lindsay’s Homeboy

TMZ has learned … Michael Lohan is showing up to Lindsay’s court hearing on Friday — but according to the actress’ father non grata, he ain’t going alone … he’s bringing some divine help.

Michael tells TMZ, he’s rolling deep with some guy named Jay Koopman — an evangelical preacher who currently helps run youth ministries all over the world.

Michael tells us he wants Jay to lend Lindsay some heavenly advice in her time of need — and hopefully get his derailed daughter back on track.

But here’s the rub … Dina Lohan also plans to show up in court … and there’s a restraining order requiring Michael to stay 100 yards away from her at all times.

Joe Jackson — Spankings Kept Michael Out of Gangs

Joe Jackson says his heavy parental hand kept Michael Jackson away from gangs.

The interview with Joe was shot by Jacksonsecretvault.com over the summer and will be used as part of a movie Katherine Jackson is producing with Howard Mann.

In the clip, an interviewer asks Joe what he thinks about Michael’s past comments about Joe’s parenting — alluding to allegations of physical abuse. Joe says, “I had to be like that because when raising him, in those days, so many gangs out there getting into trouble, going to jail. Most of them are dead now. He didn’t have to worry about that.”

The interviewer also asked if Joe had any regrets, “No! They tried to make a big issue when I spanked Michael or some of the kids, ya know? Just like they didn’t spank their kids when they did wrong. The media twists everything.”

Indeed.

Michael Lohan Blows Into L.A. For Lindsay

Michael Lohan has moved to Los Angeles so he and Lindsay Lohan can be one happy dysfunctional family again … so Michael tells TMZ.

Michael says he moved from New York to L.A. yesterday … largely to be near Lindsay.  He says he wants to be close to Lindsay while she goes through outpatient rehab and therapy.

Michael concedes Lindsay would rather get mauled by a bulldog than be around him … but says as she becomes “clean and sober” that could change.

And, Michael blames the wedge between him and Lindsay on Dina, saying, “If wedges hadn’t been put between us and people didn’t use children as pawns, a lot of the problems suffered by children wouldn’t happen.”

Michael tells us he’s working with a realtor to find an L.A. pad of his own.

Montana Fishburne: Laurence Is Done with Me

Montana Fishburne tells TMZ … she called daddy Laurence Monday for the first time since she unveiled her plan to enter the world of porn … and he was none too happy.

Montana says Laurence told her she is unwelcome in his life and wants nothing to do with her … at least for now.  According to Montana, her dad said, “I’m not going to speak with you ’till you turn your life around.” Laurence was referring to his daughter joining the ranks of Vivid Entertainment as a porn star.

Montana says Laurence added, “You embarrassed me.”

And this parting shot.  According to Montana, Laurence said, “You used your last name. No one uses their real name in porn.”

Joe Jackson’s Attorney: Law is a Pain in the Butt

Practicing law is a pain in the ass, and Joe Jackson’s lawyer is living proof … because he literally broke his preparing legal docs in the Michael Jackson wrongful death case.

Attorney Brian Oxman was walking down a flight of stairs last week with his MJ appellate brief in hand.  The brief was in response to the judge’s threat to toss the wrongful death lawsuit because certain things were not alleged as required by law.

Oxman was going downstairs to hand a brief to the messenger … when he slipped and fell down the stairs and badly injured himself, forcing him to ask the court for a delay in getting the documents to the court.

For anyone who has practiced law, it’s a metaphor for the ages.
