Jesse James and Kat Von D have split up – again.

The couple – who separated in July before reuniting a month later – have called off their engagement, the tattoo artist has revealed.

Kat wrote on her Facebook page: “I am not in a relationship. And I apologise for all the ‘back and forth’ if it’s caused any confusion.” Kat says she split from Jesse – who was previously married to Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock – because they were on “different paths in life”, but she insists she has no hard feelings toward the motorcycle entrepreneur.

She told People: “It was clear to me that we were just on two different paths in life. My friend put it best when he said I could never be more deserving of total, noble love. And as a woman, I think it’s important to know your value and never lose sight of that.

“I wish Jesse nothing but the best in life and in love.”

Jesse is currently based in Austin, Texas, and it seems that may have been a factor in the couple’s split.

Kat wrote on Facebook: “I am not in any way moving to Texas. And I am not leaving my shop here in Los Angeles, High Voltage Tattoo.”

Robert Downey Jr. accidentally knocked Scarlett Johansson over while wearing his ‘Iron Man’ costume

The actor was wearing his heavy superhero suit while he was waiting to film scenes with his glamorous co-star in their new movie ‘The Avengers’ and was fiddling with the high-tech gadgets attached to his outfit.

However, he suddenly hit the ‘wrong’ button which controls one of the arms and hit Scarlett – who plays Black Widow in the movie – in the face.

A source said: “Robert triggered a switch that controls one of his arms – and it suddenly jerked backward and whacked poor Scarlett. Knocked silly, she staggered backward, then lost her balance and fell off the low platform they were standing on.”

Stunned crew rushed to help Scarlett get to her feet and luckily so was unharmed and saw the funny side.

The source added to National Enquirer magazine: “Robert, who couldn’t help because he literally can’t move in that iron suit, was beside himself – he kept apologising and saying, Oh, my God, I’m so sorry!’ But Scarlett was a good sport and smiled about the incident.”

Britney Spears met few members of the ‘Glee’ cast when she appeared on the show

The pop superstar made a cameo appearance as herself on the musical drama series last year, but actor Matthew Morrison – who plays teacher Will Schuester – says it was difficult for the regular cast members to get on set the day she arrived for filming.

He said: “What was Britney like? I don’t know – I didn’t get to meet her. Not many people did.

“She had pretty big security around her. We actually had security bands to get onto our set that day.”

While Matthew appears unimpressed with Britney, he loves Gwyneth Paltrow’s guest stints on the show and thinks she has been able to reinvent herself.

He said: “Gwyneth Paltrow has definitely been my favourite guest. ‘Glee’ gives people a chance to reinvent themselves. I think Gwyneth does a lot of serious shows, but she really made fun of herself on ‘Glee’ and proved to be a goof.”

The 32-year-old singer-and-actor also revealed he would love to see Adele make an appearance on the programme.

He told Now magazine: “I’d love to have Adele on. She’s someone who has a good sense of who she is. She’d be incredible.”

Usher doesn’t care about awards and just wants to be creative

The ‘OMG’ hitmaker has sold more than 65 million albums and has been nominated at numerous award ceremonies including the BRITS, MTV Video and Europe Music Awards, Billboard and the Grammys but says what spurs him on more than anything is motivating others.

He explained: “I tend to do things that are motivating for others and continue to be creative, open-minded and believe in my dreams. At this stage, doing something for the good of others is bigger than an award, bigger than a new album or new bling.”

However, while he loves making music, Usher’s favourite way of relaxing and getting new inspiration is going to art museums all over the world.

He told Britain’s HELLO! magazine:” I love to travel and see the world, taking in art museums. I really enjoyed the Louvre when I was there not so long ago. I just love to talk to people as much as I can, talking about what’s going on in their life and what they’re experiencing.”

Angelina Jolie took her son Maddox flying with her today (23.09.11)

The ‘Changeling’ actress treated her ten-year-old adopted child to a trip up in the air with her as she flew a small plane from Blackbushe Airport in Surrey, Southern England.

Dressed in a black jacket and aviator sunglasses Angelina certainly looked the part as she got into the cockpit with an instructor, while Maddox rode in the back seat.

The 36-year-old star has held her pilot’s licence since 2005 and regularly goes flying. Maddox looked happy as he got in the plane and took his iPad device with him, either as a distraction for if he got bored or to battle nerves. Angelina and her brood – which also includes Pax, seven, Zahara, six, Shiloh, five, and three-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne – are currently living in Britain while her partner, Brad

Pitt shoots new movie ‘World War Z’, although he flew back to the US this week to attend a premiere. In his absence, Angelina took the children for a day out to Legoland theme park in Windsor, near London earlier this week.

Although they admit raising a large family can be manic, Brad told this week how he and Angelina manage to get a little time for each other. He said: “We find our time. We carve out Mommy, Daddy time. It’s called a hotel. You got to get out of this house. You got to leave.”

Bruno Mars would write a song with Robert Pattinson

The ‘Just the Way You Are’ hitmaker has recorded a track, ‘It Will Rain’, for movie ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ and would be open to working with its star, who has musical aspirations of his own.

Bruno told Billboard.com: “Why not? I’m down for anyone that wants to work and thinks I can contribute.” Robert has so far recorded two tracks for the original ‘Twilight’ soundtrack and was recently rumoured to be planning a debut album.

Meanwhile, Bruno promises ‘It Will Rain’ captures the darker side of the love between Robert’s Vampire character Edward Cullen and his mortal girlfriend, Bella Swan, played by Kristen Stewart. He said: “The ‘Twilight’ movies for me are a love story. But it’s a dark love story.

“And I think the best way to describe the song is: it’s the darker side of love. I think that pretty much sums it up.” Bruno added he didn’t record the song until after he had seen a preview of most of the film.

He said: “’It Will Rain’ started off with me and the guitar and I just had this melody in my head and basically laid it down after I saw the film.” ‘It Will Rain’ is released globally on September 27 except for in the UK, where it will go on sale in early November.

Royal Marine Andy Baker – known as ‘Bagsy’ to his friends – met the Girls Aloud beauty when she travelled to Afghanistan on a morale boosting trip for troops earlier this month and after swapping phone numbers, Andy is now counting down the days until he leaves the country on October 1.

His brother-in-law Graham Peck is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Andy would love to take Cheryl out for dinner when he’s back in the UK.

“He thought she was lovely, really gorgeous – I think all the guys did.

“Andy contacted me through Facebook, raving about Cheryl and even made a photo of them his profile picture. They met up a couple of times during her trip and hit it off.”

Cheryl, 28, and 25-year-old Andy first met at an awards bash and met up again later during an informal barracks dinner but the soldier panicked when he heard Cheryl was planning to call him because he has no mobile phone connection until he leaves the country.

Graham added: “Andy wants her to know that he’ll be in touch the moment he lands and wants her to wait for him.”

After her trip to Helmand province Cheryl revealed she was so taken with the military hunk she is planning to call him and “see what happens”.

She said: “Not only are the soldiers incredibly brave, a few of them were also incredibly cute.

“I actually came back with a phone number from one lad … although I think his talking to me was a dare. He started chatting to me after I’d been shot at during a training exercise.

“Obviously it wasn’t real ammunition but it was still terrifying. Anyway I think I am going to call him this week and we’ll see what happens. I’m sure he’s not expecting me to ring but that’s why it’ll be funny and that’s why I’m going to do it.”

Johnny Depp has an oil painting of Keith Richards surrounded by cigarette papers

The 48-year-old actor has amassed a huge collection of artwork and a collection of rare manuscripts in his mansion in Hertfordshire, East England – including three paintings of the Rolling Stone legend he created himself, one of which is surrounded by Rizla rolling papers – and even gave one book to Bruce Robinson, the director of his new film ‘The Rum Diary’.

He revealed to The Sun newspaper: “I don’t know how Johnny gets everything done. With the books, it isn’t just a first edition of T. S. Eliot, it’s the manuscript. He showed me the first edition of ‘Les Fleurs Du Mal’ inscribed by Baudelaire. I couldn’t believe it. Then when I got home, I found Johnny had slipped it in my suitcase.”

Johnny has long had a close relationship with the 67-year-old rocker – who plays his father in two ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ films – and has previously revealed he loves getting drunk with him.

He said: “He’s a fascinating man, you know. I’ve known him for a long time. To get periods on set where it’s just him and me hanging out, sitting around and yakking about music, movies whatever, was a real pleasure.

“I’m a wine man and I do like a good glass of red. So I would have my glass of wine and Keith would have his usual.

“I’ve no idea what it is, because it looks like nuclear waste and it’s a combination only he would know.”

Lady Gaga plans to meet with President Barack Obama in a bid to stop bullying

The ‘Born This Way’ singer has been left distraught by the death of 14-year-old Jamey Rodemeyer from Buffalo, New York, who committed suicide last Sunday (18.09.11) after enduring years of ridicule about his sexuality.

Gaga – who is a prominent supporter of gay rights – wants to petition the US leader to create legislation which makes bullying at any age a crime.

In a series of tweets, she wrote: “The past days I’ve spent reflecting, crying, and yelling. I have so much anger. It is hard to feel love when cruelty takes someones life.

“Jamey Rodemeyer, 14 yrs old, took his life because of bullying. Bullying must become be illegal. It is a hate crime.

“I am meeting with our President. I will not stop fighting. This must end. Our generation has the power to end it. Trend it #MakeALawForJamey (sic)”

Jamey had regularly blogged about the bullying he was suffering at school but his tormentors also followed him into cyberspace and several messages were left on his account on social media site Formspring calling him “gay and ugly” and encouraging him to kill himself.

On Saturday night (17.09.11) he posted the prophetic line “don’t forget me when I come crying to heaven’s door” from Gaga’s song ‘The Queen’ on his Facebook page followed by a tribute to the pop superstar and a message saying he was looking forward to seeing his late great-grandmother. Hours later he was tragically found dead.

Halle Berry has broken her foot while filming ‘Cloud Atlas’ in Spain

The actress was at the house where she is staying while making the sci-fi movie when she mis-stepped, causing her injury. Sources told website TMZ she was taken to hospital where he foot was put in a cast. She later left the medical facility in a wheelchair.

The film’s directors, Tom Tykwer, Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski, are overcoming the immediate problem of shooting Halle’s scenes – in which she plays one of few remaining survivors in a post apocalyptic world – by filming her from the waist up, using a stunt double, or simply shooting other scenes in which she is not required.

Speaking of the film, Tom has promised it will be of an epic proportion, saying: “The big-scale adult movie is a dying species. Where are the ‘2001s’ and the ‘Lawrence of Arabia’? “You go to all these studios, and you see their framed photographs, the films they’re so proud of, and you wonder: ‘Where are the pictures this year that they want blown up with a nice expensive frame around it?’”

Other A-list stars to appear in the big budget adaptation of the novel by David Mitchell include Tom Hanks, Hugh Grant, Jim Sturgess and Hugo Weaving. Halle is not the only star to have been hurt in an accident in recent weeks. ‘True Blood’ actress Evan Rachel Wood lost a tooth after being hit in the face by an erratic dancer at a Parisian nightclub, where she was celebrating her 24th birthday earlier this month.

R.E.M. have split up

The legendary ‘Man on the Moon’ rockers have announced they are to part ways after 31 years and 15 albums together. A statement on their website reads: “To our Fans and Friends: As R.E.M., and as lifelong friends and co-conspirators, we have decided to call it a day as a band.

“We walk away with a great sense of gratitude, of finality, and of astonishment at all we have accomplished. To anyone who ever felt touched by our music, our deepest thanks for listening.”

Each member of the group – singer Michael Stipe, guitarist Peter Buck and bassist Mike Mills – also wrote their individual feelings about the end of the band.

Michael wrote: “A wise man once said – ‘the skill in attending a party is knowing when it’s time to leave.’ We built something extraordinary together. We did this thing. And now we’re going to walk away from it (sic). Mike added he felt that the bands last album, ‘Collapse Into Now’ – released in March – drew a “natural line” under their work and said the break up has not been caused by any hard feelings between the members.

He said: “There’s no disharmony here, no falling-outs, no lawyers squaring-off. We’ve made this decision together, amicably and with each other’s best interests at heart. The time just feels right.” Drummer Bill Berry – who left the band in 1997 and was not replaced – has yet to comment.

Formed in 1980, R.E.M. were pioneers of the underground indie music scene in the U.S., building a strong fan base, particularly among college students, through constant touring. Although their albums were critically acclaimed, their first mainstream hit didn’t come until 1987 with ‘The One I Love’.

The band signed with major label Warner Brothers in 1988 and hit their commercial peak in the early 90s with their albums ‘Out of Time’ – which spawned the singles ‘Losing My Religion’ and ‘Shiny Happy People’ and ‘Automatic for the People’.

The band continued to have huge success and produce a prolific number of albums through the 90s, and while their experimentation with their musical style was less commercially successful in the last decade, they were inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2007 and continued to be held in high regard by both fans and critics.

Robert Pattinson is recording an album

The ‘Twilight’ actor originally considered becoming a musician and is making the most of a break in his schedule by heading to the studio to record his first full-length record.

A source told UsWeekly.com: “Music is his first love! He’s tortured because he avoids it. When he’s sitting around jamming in the studio, it’s his favourite moment of life.”

Another friend added: “Rob has been kicking a few original songs around for a long time, but his schedule didn’t allow it. “Now he’s got some weeks to get everything in line before going back to promoting ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’.”

The 25-year-old actor previously recorded two tracks, ‘Never Think’ and ‘Let Me Sign’ for the original ‘Twilight’ soundtrack. Sources say the sound of the album will be “organic” and use traditional instruments. The friend added: “The album Rob will make will be guitar based and drums, very organic-sounding, nothing pop. Like stripped-down Ray LaMontagne meets Van Morrison.”

Robert’s ‘Twilight’ co-star, Jackson Rathbone, has previously praised his ability as a guitarist. He told how Robert “loves to play the blues. He can hold his own on a guitar. We enjoyed jamming together when we had the time. Very humble and quiet guy.” Robert has also said he loves playing piano, and as a child hoped he could make a living from it.

He said: “I love the piano. I never really had any aspirations to be an actor when I was young. I wanted to play the piano in a bar, to be the old dude with a whiskey glass.”

A representative for Lea confirmed to E! News: “This is not a dramatic break-up, the relationship just ran its course. They are still friends and will always be friends.”

One contributing factor is believed to be the amount of time Lea and Theo got to spend together as their busy careers kept them apart, with the 25-year-old actress shooting ‘Glee’ in Los Angeles, while Theo lives in New York City.

Lea recently revealed she loved being in a relationship because it made her feel settled.

She said: “I’m a relationship girl. I would rather be in a long distance relationship with him than not have a relationship at all.”

She also revealed Theo reminded her of her father Marc as they had similar qualities such as a good sense of humour and caring nature.

The 40-year-old actor – who split with the former ‘Friends’ star after 11 years of marriage in October 2010 – was spurred on by estranged wife and Coco, seven, who cheered him on from the front row as he hit the dancefloor with professional partner Kym Johnson.

Performing a Viennese waltz, David and Kym received a standing ovation from the audience and a whole host of compliments from the show’s judging panel, made up of Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.

Len said: “I was very impressed. You’re a dancer.”

Following the routine, David – who received a score of 18 for his moves – said of daughter Coco: “She’s just so beautiful. She’s the love of my life.”

Meanwhile, Cher’s son Chaz Bono – who was born a female named Chastity and began gender reassignment surgery around three years ago – received equally positive comments from the judges on the debut night of ‘Dancing with the Stars’, attaining a score of 17.

Dubbed “Razzmataz Chaz” by Len, Bruno added: “So cuddly and cute. Great, great debut, Chaz. You should be proud.”

Brad Pitt is “amazed” to star in baseball film ‘Moneyball’ because he knows so little about the sport

The 47-year-old actor plays former Major League player and Oakland Athletics manager Billy Bean in the film but admitted in real life he chose wrestling and diving over baseball at high school.

He told Sports Illustrated magazine: “It’s shameful how little I know about baseball. I’m amazed they let me do this movie. “Baseball and I didn’t get along that well. I wrestled one year in high school. I dived one year. Everything but baseball.”

However, he was attracted to the role because it is based around his home state and gave him a chance to tell a good underdog story. He added: “I’m an Oklahoma-Missouri boy, so I’m no stranger to a bit of dip. So really, I was just revisiting my roots. I’m a sucker for the underdog story.”

Brad feels the film is unconventional by today’s Hollywood standards, and instead compares it to 70s movies ‘The French Connection’, ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’ and ‘All the President’s Men’. He said: “What we were trying to do is tell an unconventional story in the Trojan horse of a conventional baseball movie.

“In scripts today, someone has a big epiphany, learns a lesson, then comes out the other side different. “In these older films I’m talking about, the beast at the end of the movie was the same beast in the beginning of the movie. “What changed was the world around them, by just a couple of degrees.”

Michael Jackson drank intravenous drugs, it is to be claimed in court

The late singer’s personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray faces trial next week over the involuntary manslaughter of the ‘King of Pop’ – who died of acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009 – and his legal team are reportedly planning to show how addicted the “crazy” star was to medications to help him sleep.

The claims come after an autopsy report showed the intravenously administered sedative was swilling in his stomach hours after his death.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Conrad Murray’s team can’t understand how Propofol got into the stomach.

“It does not make sense unless Michael drank it. To them that will show the world how much of an addict he was.

“Michael was acting crazy in his last few hours, demanding drugs to help him sleep. He was always playing with the bottles, who know what he did.”

Murray will also claim Michael was able to inject himself to feed his addictions and had detailed knowledge of painkilling medications and intravenous treatments after decades of drug abuse.

The source added: “Dr. Murray is confident he can convince a jury Michael could have self-administered his drugs.

“It paints a bad picture of him as his doctor for feeding his addiction but Dr. Murray still insists he didn’t dish out enough to kill him.”

Meanwhile, a key witness in the case has gone missing.

Pharmacist Tim Lopez – who claimed he sent large amounts of a powerful anaesthetic to Murray’s girlfriend shortly before the singer’s death – has moved to Thailand without telling authorities, and his friends and family have reportedly refused to reveal his exact whereabouts.

Now, prosecutors want to use an earlier testimony he gave as part of their evidence, with Judge Michael Pastor expected to make a decision in the next few days.

Opening arguments in the trial are scheduled to begin on September 26.

If convicted, the medic faces up to four years in jail.

The couple – who raise six kids, Maddox, 10, Pax, seven, Zahara, six, Shiloh, five, and three-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne together – have enlisted the services of the ex-members of Special Air Service unit and have also installed a £150 million state-of-the-art security system after learning organised crime gangs from Russia and Italy are targeting rich foreigners in the area.

An insider told The Sun newspaper: “Brad has hired a crack team of ex-SAS guys to protect them and they watch over the property like hawks around the clock.

“They can see what is happening as all the cameras hooked up to the TV screens have movement sensors. They work via wi-fi so can’t be disarmed.”

The property – which boasts his-and-hers gyms, a Jacuzzi, sauna, billiards room and a huge banqueting suite – now is said to look like “something out of a James Bond movie” after being kitted out with fingerprint recognition gadgets.

The source added to The Sun newspaper: “There’s even fingerprint recognition to go from certain parts of the house to the next. Every inch is covered. It’s like something out of a James Bond movie.”

‘Modern Family’ and ‘Downton Abbey’ were the big winners at the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards last night (18.09.11)

The comedy series and the British period drama both took home four accolades from the prestigious ceremony at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, while ‘Mad Men’ and ‘Mildred Pierce’ were also awarded some of the top prizes.

‘Modern Family’ was named Best Comedy Series, with its stars Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell taking home the prizes for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series respectively. Steven Levitan and Jeffrey Richman also won in the Writing, Comedy Series category.

Downton Abbey’s gongs included Best Miniseries and Best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for Dame Maggie Smith.

The show’s writer Julian Fellowes was honoured for Outstanding Writing in a Miniseries, Movie or Dramatic special.

Accepting his statuette, Julian said: “When we were in the hotel a bit earlier, my wife said to me, ‘I think we should just relax and enjoy the evening, because I don’t think we’re going to win.’ Well, we’re going to enjoy the evening now!

“And at the risk of sounding grandiloquent, I would like to thank you, the American industry. Ten years ago you kick-started my second career with an Oscar, tonight you have nurtured it, I am very grateful, thank you.”

‘Mad Men’, an advertising drama set in the 1950s, was named Best Drama Series, while Kate Winslet and Guy Pearce both won for their roles in ‘Mildred Pierce’.

Kate – who was named Best Actress in a Miniseries or Movie – said of her prize: “It doesn’t matter how old you are or what you do in your life, you never stop needing your mum and I will never stop needing mine, so thanks mum, thank you so much.”

Other winners included Julianna Margulies, who was named Best Actress in a Drama Series for her role in ‘The Good Wife’, while ‘Friday Night Lights’ star Kyle Chandler won Best Actor in a Drama Series at the ceremony which was hosted by ‘Glee’ star Jane Lynch.

Simon Cowell reportedly split from fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy last month

The music mogul – who recently said he was “not sure” if he was still engaged to the make-up artist – is said to have called time on their relationship a few weeks ago although the break-up was amicable.

A source told The Mail on Sunday newspaper: “Simon and Mezhgan split up in August. He called it off and she wasn’t that surprised or even very bothered about it. Mezhgan told her friends she knew it had been coming for a while. She offered him the ring back but he has insisted she keep it.

“As with all his exes, he is being very generous, but he is already dating again and he has been on a dinner date or two with a mystery British brunette.”

Mezhgan – who put on a united front with Simon at the premiere of the US version of ‘The X Factor’ last week – is now living in Simon’s $5 million Beverly Hills home after moving out of the house they once shared.

The property is dubbed his “girlfriend graveyard” by friends because it is where his former lover Terri Seymour went after the pair separated in 2008.

Sources claim one of the reasons the couple – who got engaged last February after a whirlwind romance – split was because Mezhgan didn’t get on that well with Simon’s beloved mother Julie.

One said: “Simon knew it wasn’t going to end in marriage. There were commitment issues on his part and the added problem that Mezhgan didn’t get on all that well with Simon’s mother Julie.

“The pair would often argue about how Mezhgan spoke to him.”

The former ‘Baywatch’ beauty has two boys, Brandon, 15, and 13-year-old Dylan, with ex-husband Tommy Lee and admits being a single mother limits the type of man she can go out with.

She said: “My sons influence who I date but maybe as they get older my attitude towards men may change. It’s just when you’re a single mum, unfortunately I think we date for our kids. You think, ‘Who are my kids going to want to hang out with?’ Rather than who you want.”

The 44-year-old star – who has also been married to Kid Rock and Rick Salomon – says she’s single at the moment but is confident she will eventually meet the right man.

She told Britain’s OK! magazine: “I am single. I like someone with a bit of an edge. Someone who’s passionate about what they do. But I guess I haven’t found that magical combination of everything yet. Someday I’ll find someone.”
