Alyssa Milano has given birth to a baby boy

The 38-year-old actress and her husband, Hollywood agent David Bugliari, welcomed their first child into the world this morning (31.08.11).

The tot weighed 7lb and the overjoyed couple have named their new arrival Milo Thomas Bugliari.

The ‘Charmed’ star’s representative said: “Alyssa and her husband David proudly announce the birth of their son, Milo Thomas Bugliari. Milo Thomas was born on August 31 at 9.27am weighing 7 pounds and was 19 inches long.”

Alyssa, 38, took to her twitter account to share her joyous news and also thanked her followers for their congratulatory messages.

She wrote: “Thank you for all the well wishes for my son Milo. My heart has tripled in size. I love him more than all the leaves on all the trees.”

Alyssa – who married David in August 2009 – knew she was having a son throughout the later stages of her pregnancy but was refusing to pick a name for her baby until she met him.

She previously said: “We have three names. You hear so many stories about people who picked a name out and then the baby didn’t look like the name. So we’re narrowing it down until we see the child. However, we will go with a slightly Italian name, so that it goes with Bugliari.”

Robert Downey Jr’s wife Susan Levin is pregnant

The couple – who have been married for six years – are set to welcome the new addition to their family in February, 37-year-old Susan’s aunt has revealed.

Nancy Miller told America’s Star magazine: “I think it’s wonderful that she’s pregnant.

“The baby is due in February. Susan’s father, my brother, called me about three weeks ago with the good news. Her parents are over the moon about it.

“It [doesn’t] really matter if it’s a boy or a girl. What really matters is that the baby is healthy.”

While the baby will be film producer Susan’s first, Robert, 46, already has an 18-year-old son Indio from his first marriage to actress-and-singer Deborah Falconer.

Robert – who has battled drug addiction in the past – has previously credited Susan with providing him with a more stable relationship than he had with first wife although he admitted he is constantly surprised by how much work it takes to make a marriage successful.

He said: “Susan is cut from a slightly different cloth from Deb and I, and she’s provided a great new framework for lots of things.

“Susan doesn’t care if this building fell down and we never did another movie again so long as we were happy and loving and together, but so long as it hasn’t, she’s operating on the fact there’s a lot of s**t to get done.

“She is a master at it – I wouldn’t be surprised if she built the pyramids.

“Do we have to work at the relationship? More than I thought. And usually more than I would care to.

“But ultimately, it’s nice to have pure communication with, for me, a woman. Historically this is not something that, for me, was not really achievable.”

Sarah Jessica Parker can say “no parsley” in six languages

The ‘I Don’t Know How She Does It’ actress isn’t fluent in any other languages other than English but she has learnt how to tell waiters she doesn’t want the herb in her food because she dislikes it so much.

In response to the question “what other languages can you speak?” during a twitter webchat for Glamour magazine, she said: “A teeny tiny amount of French & I can say ‘no parsley’ in 6 languages.”

The 46-year-old beauty also revealed being a working mother has its benefits and disadvantages depending on what her schedule is like.

The ‘Sex and the City’ star – who has three children, James, eight, and two-year-old twins Marion and Tabitha, with her husband Matthew Broderick – explained: “The best is being able to take the children to amazing places … The worst is being away sometimes.”

Despite the huge success she has enjoyed in her career, the actress – who is most famous for her TV and movie role as columnist Carrie Bradshaw – insists her kids have given her the most fulfilment in life.

When asked “what’s your biggest achievement?” by one twitter user, she replied: “My children’s contentment.”

Justin Bieber is unhurt after being involved in a “minor” car crash

The 17-year-old singing sensation’s Ferrari – which he is thought to have been driving alongside an unnamed passenger – collided into a Honda Civic car the Studio City area of Los Angeles yesterday (30.08.11), but there was no damage done to either drivers or vehicles.

Los Angeles Police officer Gregory Baek confirmed the ‘Never Say Never’ hitmaker was involved in a “very minor collision” but said there was no visible damage to his car.

This is not the first traffic incident Justin has been involved in recently.

The ‘Baby’ hitmaker was recently pulled over by undercover police on Ocean Drive in Miami while driving his friend Sean Kingston’s Rolls Royce convertible.

Police thought it was suspicious that someone so young was driving such an expensive car, but the pair did not break the law and were allowed to keep driving.

A source said at the time: “An undercover police officer was driving behind Justin and [his passenger] Sean Kingston. He pulled them over in front of the restaurant on Ocean Drive because he thought it was strange that this young kid was driving a brand new convertible Rolls-Royce.”

Rob Kardashian says his mother “forced” him to agree to appear on ‘Dancing with the Stars’

The 24-year-old star has been announced as one of the competitors for the new series of the ballroom dancing TV show, and he has revealed it was his mum Kris Jenner who convinced him to go on.

He told Life & Style magazine: “I’m actually shocked that I’m doing it – I’m very low-key and really don’t like being in the spotlight, but my mom forced me. That’s the real reason I’m doing it!”

Now he is taking part, the ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star is determined to do better than his sister Kim did when she competed in 2008.

The 30-year-old beauty could only make it to the third week and Rob is going to work hard to make sure he gets further.

He said: “She (Kris) forced Kim to do it, too. [My family] told me that I had better beat Kim as she’s a terrible dancer, and if I couldn’t do this, then I had a problem. I’m hoping that I do well.”

Rob is also looking forward to getting in shape when the rigorous rehearsals start because he has been piling on the pounds recently.

He added: “I weigh more than I’ve ever weighed, at more than 200 pounds. I’m usually always in shape, but I’ve been enjoying not working out and eating crap, so I’ll use this to really start getting in shape!”

Other celebrities joining Rob on this year’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ are David Arquette, Chaz Bono, chat show host Ricki Lake, George Clooney’s ex-girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis and Kristin Cavallari.

Daryl Hannah was arrested outside the White House today (30.08.11) during an environmental protest

The ‘Kill Bill’ star was handcuffed and led away by police after joining a sit-down protest on the sidewalk outside President Barack Obama’s official residence in Washington DC against the Keystone XL oil pipeline.

The 50-year-old actress was taken into custody – along with around 100 other protesters – after refusing to move on when ordered to do so by the US Park Police.

Before she was arrested, Hannah said: “Sometimes it’s necessary to sacrifice your freedom for a greater freedom, and we want to be free from the horrible death and destruction that fossil fuels cause, and have a clean energy future.”

The proposed pipeline will run from the Canadian tar sands in Alberta to oil refineries on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico but the plan has yet to be granted approval by the White House.

This isn’t the first time Daryl has been arrested.

In 2009, she was detained by police after taking part in a protest against mountaintop coalmining – a practice which sees the tops of mountains blown away to help miners get at deposits inside – which resulted in a West Virginia road being blocked.

Daryl – who is a long-term environmental activist – and 30 other people blocked traffic by sitting on a stretch of road outside a Massey Energy Company plant, prompting police to intervene.

Blake Lively flew to Australia at the weekend to celebrate her birthday with boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio

The ‘Gossip Girl’ star turned 24 last Thursday (25.08.11) and decided to jet Down Under to see her Hollywood heartthrob beau in Sydney – where he has been shooting his new movie ‘The Great Gatsby’ – on Saturday (27.08.11).

The couple – who have been dating since May – enjoyed a meal at exclusive restaurant Aria and were seated at one of the eatery’s best tables which boasts a panoramic view of Sydney Harbour.

A source told Australia’s Daily Telegraph newspaper: “[Blake] looked gorgeous and they looked very much like a couple. They seemed to be having a really nice time and were definitely enjoying the view.”

Blake is still in Australia with Leonardo, 36, and on Tuesday (30.08.11) the couple enjoyed a trip to Featherdale Wildlife Park in Doonside, western Sydney.

The pair saw a variety of animals and were even allowed to get up close and personal to some baby crocodiles during their visit.

Featherdale marketing manager Kellie Ames said: “We weren’t told who it was. We only knew when they arrived. I made sure I was the one who escorted them when I saw it was Leo. I’m a big fan of his movies.

“They were both so nice and down to earth. Leo was asking about the endangered animals. They loved the koalas and the wombats. We also brought out baby saltwater crocs. Neither of them seemed scared one bit. They were very calm.”

Anne Hathaway learned about British music while shooting ‘One Day’.

The 28-year-old American actress spent time in the UK while filming the movie, and particularly enjoyed the film’s soundtrack and learning about cult hits in the country from her British co-star Jim Sturgess.

She told BANG Showbiz: ” I knew about S Club 7 before and I mainly know about Robbie Williams from his episode of ‘Cribs’. But when we were doing the scene when Jodie Whittaker sings his song ‘Angels’, I was actually the only person who didn’t know it. And then ‘Sex Bomb’ came on. I got quite an education from Jim! He turned me on to Stone
Roses.”

Anne has been spotted at underground events in Dalston, East London, since filming the movie, and she admits she loved getting the chance to experience a different side to the British capital.

She added: “The best thing was I got to make so many new friends and explore areas of London I’ve never seen before. There’s a really wonderful creative scene here that I found very nourishing.”

Beyonce Knowles is pregnant.

The ‘Run the World (Girls)’ singer arrived at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) last night (28.08.11) in a loose fitting orange dress, and clutched her visible baby bump as she posed on the red carpet.

She told the press: “I have a surprise!”

Beyonce’s publicist later confirmed the news, telling People.com: “I’m happy to say it’s true.”

The child will be the first for the 29-year-old and her husband, rapper Jay-Z, who married in 2008.

During the VMAs Beyonce first cheered on Jay from the side of the stage as he performed new single ‘Otis’ with Kanye West, then wowed the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles herself, singing ‘Love on Top’. She told the crowd: “I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside of me.” As she sung, Beyonce proudly rubbed her bump, and the cameras panned over to Jay-Z, who had a huge grin on his face. The performance was met with a standing ovation.

Beyonce has recently hinted she was thinking of settling down, saying earlier this month how she was hoping to “dedicate herself” to having children. She said: “When you’re young – 18 or 19 – you have the energy and drive. That’s the time to work as hard as you can. “Now I’m a woman, and because I gave it my all, I can focus on my marriage. I can decide I want to have kids. I can be the mother I want to be and dedicate myself to my children.”

The Girls Aloud singer – who has not been seen in public following revelations her ex-husband Ashley Cole bedded a string of women days before they were thought to have reconciled – is set to reside with her manager when she is in America because she is “sick” of staying in Los Angeles hotel rooms.

A source close to the ‘Parachute’ hitmaker told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Cheryl is sick to death of staying in hotels when she’s in LA.

“She’s seen some great houses. But she is worried about being lonely when her mum and brother Garry aren’t around. Will suggested she move in with him while she gets settled and has even said she is welcome for all of her stay.”

Will’s home contains a recording studio, which will enable the 28-year-old stunner to sample some songs with the Black Eyed Peas singer.

David Beckham has hired an armed bodyguard to protect his family

The soccer player – who has kids Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, Cruz, six, and one-and-a-half month Harper Seven with wife Victoria – was spotted being protected by a minder, who was wearing an openly holstered pistol and is thought to be an off-duty policeman, on Malibu Beach in Los Angeles as his sons played in the water.

A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: “I can’t comment on any individual case, but the practice of celebrities hiring off-duty officers for private security purposes is common practice here.”

Freelance photographer Mike Kamara saw the bodyguard and explained the gun was clearly visible on the outside of his clothes.

He explained: “I didn’t notice him at first. He kept in the background very discreetly. But I noticed him when David walked over and handed him a plastic toy that the youngsters had been playing with.

“I saw immediately that he was openly wearing a holstered pistol on his right hip. You couldn’t fail to see it against his blue cargo pants and white shirt.”

The 36-year-old hunk and his family have been spending time on the beach since renting out movie director Steven Spielberg’s oceanside mansion for the summer.

Sofia Coppola has married Thomas Mars

The ‘Lost in Translation’ director was wearing a custom-made lavender bridal gown as she tied the knot with the musician in Italy yesterday (27.08.11) on her dad Francis Ford Coppola’s estate in Bernalda in front of around 80 guests, including Johnny Depp and George Lucas.

Village mayor Leonardo Chiruzzi, who performed the ceremony, explained the occasion “went well”.

He said: “Everything went well. It was simple, calm, in the garden. If they wanted to do a Hollywood wedding, they wouldn’t have done it here. They chose to do it here because it’s here – it’s here that is beautiful.”

‘Godfather’ director Francis was previously said to be renovating his property for the nuptials, with the ceremony set to mark the end of his rebuilding.

His great-nephew Gaetano Russo explained: “The ceremony will mark the end of renovations at the palace, which will soon be inaugurated as a resort, open to the public.”

Sophia – who has two children, Roma, four, and 15-month-old Cosima with Thomas – used to be married to ‘Being John Malkovich’ helmer Spike Jonze between 1999 and 2003.

Brad Pitt saved a woman on the set of ‘World War Z’ from being trampled

The 47-year-old actor was shooting battle scenes for the horror apocalypse movie in Glasgow, Scotland, with 700 extras when the actress fell to the ground in the melee.

Quick-thinking Brad scooped her up in his arms and put her back on her feet before she faced the risk of getting badly injured.

A source told the Scottish Sun newspaper: “Lots of people hurt themselves and Brad came to the rescue of one woman who slipped. I don’t think she could believe it when Brad picked her up.

“He didn’t have time to speak to her as it was mid-shoot. But she said afterwards how grateful she was, despite having a grazed knee.”

Although the actress had her very own Hollywood hero to save her, many of the other extras weren’t so lucky and were left with injuries following the dangerous battle scene.

The source added: “Loads of extras suffered bumps and scrapes. One extra playing a soldier was even hit by a moving car and ended up on the vehicle’s bonnet, but fortunately he escaped unhurt.”

Brad has been in Scotland for the past few weeks filming scenes for the movie, and he and his family – partner Angelina Jolie and their six children, Maddox, 10, Pax, seven, Zahara, six, Shiloh, five, and three-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne – have been staying at a rented 16th century mansion in the Ayrshire hills.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have moved into a two-bedroom home

The couple are reportedly renting the small $3 million property in Hollywood after the ‘Hollywood Bosses’ actress sold her lavish Beverly Hills mansion for $38 million.

A source told Us Weekly: “One bedroom is the master and the other is currently furnished as a guest room.

“It is a really romantic house with great views and a warm feeling in every room. If they decide they like it, it’s also for sale.”

According to X17 Online, Jennifer and Justin’s new home boasts hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, a pool, hidden garden and a garage which has been converted into a family room.

The source added: “They’re really excited about it.”

The small property may surprise some people as the couple had been seen viewing a number of mansions to replace the one Jennifer sold, and in late July were looking at up to six a day, including Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi’s house.

David Arquette is reportedly set to compete on ‘Dancing with the Stars’

The 39-year-old actor – who separated from wife Courteney Cox last year – will take to the dancefloor in the celebrity contest with professional dancer Kym Johnson, gossip website TMZ has claimed.

Programme chiefs will officially unveil the line up for the new season next week, but several stars have already been linked with the show.

The ‘Hair’ singer has beat Oprah Winfrey to a higher position on the annual World’s 100 Most Powerful Women list compiled by the business and finance analysts, but could only reach number 11 in the total list.

Oprah Winfrey Network owner and former chat show host Oprah is placed at number 14, dropping from third place in 2010.

No showbiz stars made the top ten of the list, which is comprised of politicians and businesswomen including German Chancellor Angela Merkel at number one and other entrants US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Chief Operating officer of Facebook Sheryl Sandberg and Christine Lagarde, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Gaga topped a celebrity-only version of the list earlier this year, with Forbes giving the reason as “not just because of her $90 million in earnings, but also because of her 32 million Facebook fans and 10 million twitter followers”.

Miley Cyrus is to become an aunt

The ‘Last Song’ actress’ older brother Trace Cyrus is reportedly expecting a baby with former ‘The Suite Life of Zack and Cody’ star Brenda Song, according to E!.

It would be the first child for the 23-year-old beauty and Trace, 22, who are thought to have begun dating in May when they appeared at an event for the first time together.

Trace – who has previously dated Demi Lovato – is best known for his band Metro Station and his clothing line, but has made no hint of expanding his family.

Writing on twitter yesterday (23.08.11), he revealed he had enjoyed dinner round his sister Miley’s house and now wanted to thieve her new dog.

He wrote: “I just got home from having a nice dinner at Miley’s house. Got to say I want to steal her new dog Floyd. He is so awesome!”

The rocker also revealed he was planning to add a new tattoo to his already large collection of inkings.

Trace tweeted: “Pretty sure going to see Chris Garcia next month and get both my feet tattooed and a little more done on my back. Very excited for that!”

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom have been house-hunting in New Zealand

The couple – who welcomed their first son, Flynn, into the world in January – were spotted looking at a four-bedroom rental property on the island yesterday (23.08.11).

According to website JustJared.com, the house also boasts a gym, home cinema, spa, swimming pool and wine cellar.

Orlando and Miranda usually divide their time between Los Angeles and London, but the couple could be looking for a long-term base while the British actor films the two forthcoming ‘Hobbit’ movies on the island, which is situated 1500km away from his spouse’s native Australia.

Earlier this year, Orlando spoke of how he finds Los Angeles can be overwhelming.

He said: “My first overriding memory of LA is flying out of the city to New Zealand to do ‘Lord of the Rings’ and looking out of the window of the plane thinking it looked big and intimidating.

“A bit scary really – just so vast and bustling.”

The 34-year-old star has also spoken of his desire to raise his son without being in the public eye too much.

He said: “It’s good in LA but I kind of live in London as well. Most of the time I keep it very quiet as I like to be at home and not in the eye of it all.

“You can’t avoid it sometimes in LA unfortunately – I try my best but it’s very difficult.

“When I’m in the UK, and I’m here more than people would think, I tend to keep a very low profile. I just enjoy being home with my family and mates and stuff.”

Lady Gaga thinks she is “married to loneliness”

The ‘Edge of Glory’ hitmaker – who has been in an on/off relationship with barman Luc Carl throughout her career – is convinced she will always be on her own because “wallowing in solitude” is what gives her artistic integrity.

Asked whether touring makes her lonely, the 25-year-old singer said: “Yes, but I’m supposed to be, I am an artist. We wallow in loneliness and solitude our whole lives in search of the answer to hundreds and millions of questions that run through my mind.

“Yes, I’m lonely. But I’m married to my loneliness.”

Gaga – real name Stefani Germanotta – would always be prepared to sacrifice love for her music, as she would “die” if she wasn’t able to release songs into the world.

Asked whether she would pick fame or love if she could only have one, she told Asia’s Star TV: “I would choose my work. I would die without it and I could never be reborn.

“My biggest fear is missing out on a creative idea because of a lack if time.”
