Lindsay Lohan insists she stuck to “yummy hummus and pita” on her first night of freedom

The actress completed 35 days of house arrest at her Los Angeles home yesterday (29.06.11) and started 480 hours of community service – both part of her sentence for stealing an expensive necklace and violating terms of her 2007 conviction for driving under the influence (DUI) – but while she went to a gathering for her friend, Lyndsy Fonseca, afterward, insists she wasn’t partying too hard.

After speculation she had been drinking at the party – which she is free to do, as her court ordered testing for alcohol has finished – and stumbling over on her way out of Lexington Social House in the early hours of this morning (30.06.11), Lindsay posted a picture of a pair of high heeled shoes along with a message on twitter.

The message read: “Of course me going to my best friends going away dinner is a headline – especially on my first day out of my house in 35 days. “That does not give anyone the right to have a field day and manifest stories. IT WAS A GOING AWAY DINNER, THAT WAS IT (sic). “Nothing exciting happened aside from the very yummy hummus and pita.

If anyone caused me to nearly fall it was the pyschotic paparazzi… off to the gym now- have a lovely day xo (sic).” Lindsay – who has recently insisted alcohol is not part of her life – has also cancelled her planned 25th birthday party this weekend, to instead have a “quiet” meal with family and close friends.

Ewan McGregor has adopted a baby girl

The ‘Star Wars’ actor and his wife Eve Mavrakis have welcomed a fourth daughter, who was born in March, to their brood. The new addition joins Ewan and Eve’s biological children Clara, 15, and nine-year-old Esther and, Jamiyan, nine, who was born in Mongolia and adopted five years ago.

Ewan, 40, let slip about the baby in an interview, explaining how he likes to keep his family with him while he is filming. He told the New York Post newspaper: “My wife and four girls – 15, two nine-year-olds and a baby of four months – often come with me if it’s a holiday or my locations and their schedules allow.

“Sometimes we uproot them and put them in another school.” No further details about the couple’s newest daughter are known. Ewan has, however, recently said he always makes as much time as possible for his children. He said: “I understand it can be boring to play with young children – to tell a story over and over again, let’s say – but the secret is being there.

“If you’ve made a decision to play with your children, then play with them. “Turn off your BlackBerry. Lose yourself in their world. Even if you do it for a short time, it will mean a lot to you and to them.”

Angelina Jolie rented an entire bowling alley to treat her children today (30.06.11)

The ‘Tomb Raider’ star hired out the Eden Superbowl in St. Julians, Malta – where her partner Brad Pitt is filming ‘World War Z’ – so she could spend the afternoon with children Maddox, nine, Pax, seven, Zahara, six, Shiloh, five, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Angelina was also accompanied by several other unidentified children and nannies for her brood to the alley. A source told Usmagazine.com: “They had a lots of fun and played for the entire two hours, laughing and giggling.” While Brad is filming ‘World War Z’ – a zombie movie – his family have been staying in a rented $11 million mansion in the town if Qrendi on the island, located off the coast of Italy.

Earlier in the week, the whole family visited the Mediterraneo Bio Park for a day out. Brad and Angelina travel the world with their family, but insist this has no negative effect on the education of their children, who are home schooled. Angelina said in a recent interview: “We have different teachers from different cultures in our house, who travel with us.

“To us it’s about building a team around us where we can all be enhanced culturally and they can help with following a curriculum legally.
“I do think we live in a different age and the education system hasn’t caught up with our children and our way of life.”

Bieber Rips BET Security — ‘This Guy’s a D-Bag’

Justin Bieber’s entourage and security at the BET Awards got into a heated showdown — which ended with JB declaring the doorman was “a douche bag” … and the whole incident went down on camera.

TMZ obtained the video, which shows Bieber — who was a presenter at the award show — and his squad being stopped at the door last weekend. It appears one of Justin’s bodyguards did NOT have a ticket … and while both sides argued, Biebs eventually interrupted by saying, “I need to bring my security! This guy’s a douche bag.”

Everyone on Team Bieb ended up getting into the show — and a BET rep downplayed the incident … saying, “It is our standard policy to make sure everyone has their tickets or credential upon arrival. Justin had the proper credentials.”

As for Justin — his rep says the Biebs was just standing up for his bodyguards … the guys who always have his back.

Selena Gomez admits she still feels “awkward” wearing a bikini

The 18-year-old actress and singer – who is dating teen heartthrob Justin Bieber –is still conscious of her body as she grows into womanhood.

When asked if she feels under pressure to be sexy as she grows up, Selena told Time magazine: “Now that I am getting older I’m becoming a woman, and I want to explore that side of myself – but I still get awkward if I’m in a bikini so I don’t think I’ll be doing anything too drastic anytime soon.”

The ‘Bang Bang Bang’ singer also goes out of the way to be personable and welcoming toward her fans. She explained: “Sometimes fans for male pop stars or actors can be a little crazy. I was that way with Jesse McCartney from N’Sync. “But I could probably have lunch with every single one of my fans. I like that I don’t seem unapproachable and that they’re not trying to get with me.”

Selena did, however, suffer a backlash on the internet when it was revealed she was dating Justin, but has taken it all in her stride. She added: “Half of these girls are saying things they would never say to someone’s face. “I’m human, so of course it hurts my feelings, but ultimately, I got to the point where I laugh at it.”

The ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Twilight’ film franchises go head to head in this year’s Teen Choice Awards

‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ star c will take on ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1’ actor Daniel Radcliffe in the ‘Choice Movie Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy’ category, while their female co-stars – Kristen Stewart and Emma Watson respectively – are both up for the female version of the award.

The two films will themselves go head to head to see which will be named ‘Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy’. ‘Twilight’ star Robert is up for four awards in total, including Choice Movie Actor: Drama
for ‘Water for Elephants’ and Choice Movie: Liplock
for his kiss with Kristen.
In the latter category, Robert – who is dating Kristen off set – faces competition however, from his co-star Taylor Lautner – who has his own smooch with Kristen in ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’.

The hunky ‘Twilight’ pair even find themselves head to head in all three categories Taylor is nominated in, including the coveted Choice Male Hottie. It is another Taylor who leads the musical nominations however, as Taylor Swift has picked up five nods, including Choice Music: Female Artist, Choice Music: Female Country Artist and Choice Music: Love Song, for her single ‘Mine’.

Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber has only one nomination, out of four, for his songs – Choice Music: Male Artist – with his other nods for Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon: Male, Choice TV: Villain for his turn in ‘CSI’, and Choice Twit. Other stars to pick up nominations in the awards’ 66 categories included Johnny Depp, Eminem, Beyonce and Christina Aguilera.

Brad Pitt admits his attitude to his career changed when he became a father

The 48-year-old actor – who raises six children, Maddox, nine, Pax, six, Zahara, five, Shiloh, five, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with his long-term partner Angelina Jolie – says his attitude to his work was altered by his kids because he wants to make films they can be “proud” of.

He said: “The biggest change for me was being a dad. That changes everything.

“I’m aware of the impermanence, now that I’ve got a few (movies) left – and I want to do stories where I can make a difference. I want them to be proud of their dad in the end.”

The ‘Tree of Life’ star is acutely aware of the effect his and 36-year-old Angelina’s high-profile careers could have on their brood and as well as not telling their kids what they do for jobs he also doesn’t bring home any frustrations from work.

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph newspaper, he said: “It’s so obvious for me that, when I come home, my kids are so aware of everything that’s going on. It’s quite important to me not to put my frustrations on them. I want them to be free, not encumbered with my junk.”

Halle Berry accused Gabriel Aubry of putting their daughter at risk in court today (28.06.11)

The former couple are locked in a bitter battle over the care of three year old Nahla, and a lawyer for Halle has served a lengthy document claiming Gabriel has violated their custody agreement.

According to gossip website TMZ, the court documents go into great detail about how Halle is unsure of Gabriel’s parenting skills, including detailing one incident outside of the US, when he allegedly neglected Nahla, putting her safety at risk.

Oscar winner Halle – who split from Gabriel in April 2010 – is asking the judge to rule her ex-partner has violated their custody agreement. As he was not present in court, the judge has set a hearing for a later date. Halle, 44, first raised questions over Gabriel’s parenting in January, and subsequently launched a bid for full custody of Nahla.

A spokesperson for the actress said at the time: “Halle has serious concerns for her daughter’s well-being while in the care of her father and is prepared to take all necessary steps to protect her.” The 34-year-old model hit back at the claims however, calling Halle “irresponsible”.

He said in a statement: “Gabriel fully believes that a consistent and balanced living situation and two loving parents are crucial for their child. “He will always defend his rights as a father and will always consider Nahla’s best interest. Halle’s continuing allegations in the press are untrue and irresponsible.”

Beyonce Knowles wanted to have a baby when she was 30

The ‘Run the World (Girls)’ singer – who is married to rapper Jay-Z – initially wanted to retire from the spotlight and start a family when she hit her thirties, but now she is just months away she’s not so sure.

Speaking on TV show ‘Piers Morgan Tonight’ she said: “I always said I’d have a baby at 30. I’m 29. But I also said I was going to retire at 30. I’m not retiring. Only God knows.”

The ‘Single Ladies’ hitmaker – who’s birthday is on September 4 – added she feels like she’s outgrown her 20s and is looking forward to embracing a new decade in her life. She said: “Twenty nine is very strange. You’re still in your 20s, but you feel like you’re supposed to be 30, and I feel like a woman.

“I feel like 30 is the ideal age, because you’re mature enough to know who you are and have your boundaries and your standards and not be afraid or too polite, but young enough to be a young woman. I’m so looking forward to it.”

Emma told Seventeen magazine: “For the first two movies, I had a huge crush on Tom Felton. He was my first crush.” The star – now 21 – said it didn’t make things awkward on set, and she is able to laugh about it with Tom, who is now 23. She added: “He totally knows. We talked about it – we still laugh about it. We are really good friends now, and that’s cool.”

America Ferrera has married Ryan Piers Williams

The ‘Ugly Betty’ star tied the knot with her long-term boyfriend last night (27.05.11) in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and castmates from the show, which ended last year.

The happy couple wed at America’s former co-star, Vanessa Williams’ house in Chappaqua, upstate New York. A source told People magazine: “It was an intimate setting amongst close friends and family. “The bride wore a dress by Amsale’s Christos label and Fred Leighton earrings.”

America, 27, met Ryan at the University of Southern California when he cast her in a student film. Ryan, who runs a production company, proposed last June and America first showed off her diamond topped engagement ring at the Edinburgh Film Festival in Scotland later that month.

Shortly after their engagement, America said of their relationship: “We kind of connected from the get-go on that professional level and that was something that really drew us to each other. A shared passion for what we do and our work.”

The wedding ceremony was officiated by ‘Ugly Betty’ cast member Judith Light, and plenty of other stars were in attendance including Rebecca Romijn, her husband Jerry O’Connell, and America’s co-stars from the film ‘Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’, Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn, and Blake Lively.

Since ‘Ugly Betty’ ended, America has had a recurring role on drama series ‘The Good Wife’ and she will next voice a character in animated film ‘How to Train Your Dragon 2’.

Beyonce Knowles’ mother stopped her from developing a huge ego by smacking her

The ‘Run The World (Girls)’ hitmaker first tasted fame with girl group Destiny’s Child at the age of 15 and although Beyonce found herself getting carried away with her new exciting career, her mum Tina quickly made her realise she would not be allowed to act like a diva.

In an interview on CNN show ‘Piers Morgan Tonight’, Beyonce said: “I remember when we first had our single on the radio, and I was starting to feel like I was hot. And I was in the record store and she was talking to me and I started singing, because I didn’t want to hear whatever she was saying. And I was about 15.

“And the song was playing on the radio and I am like, yes, and these guys were looking like, ‘Oh, that’s Beyonce.’ And I thought I was hot.

“And she smacked the crap out of me in that store. When I tell you whack, whack and sent me to the car. And was like, ‘I don’t care what song you have on the radio, you are my child. You do not disrespect me’, and I will never forget it. It was a great lesson.

“She is always correcting me and, you know, I feel like it doesn’t matter if you are the janitor or the president, everyone is the same, making sure that I keep my humility and my spirit. You know, she is always honest with me.”

Beyonce married rapper Jay-Z in 2008 after six years of dating and although they had an instant connection, she admits their relationship isn’t always perfect.

She said: “I definitely had a very natural friendship and connection with him. And I mean, we’ve been together for a very long time and are very happy.”

“I’ve had my life experiences, definitely. I mean, I haven’t had this perfect, flawless life. And any relationship, you go through issues and you have to learn each other and you grow and you have painful moments.”

‘Simpsons’ Bombshell — The TRUTH About MJ Song!!!

Michael Jackson hand-picked an MJ voice impersonator to sing the famous “Happy Birthday Lisa” song featured on “The Simpsons” back in 1991 … this according to Lisa herself, Yeardley Smith.

Smith was outside the Red O restaurant in L.A. this weekend, when she explained, “[Michael] was not allowed to sing on the show, so he literally hand-picked a guy to sing like him.”

During the famous episode, “Stark Raving Dad,” Michael provided the voice to a mental patient who thought he was MJ … but according to reports, Jackson’s record label blocked MJ from singing the Lisa birthday song.

MJ ultimately selected a man named Kipp Lennon — and Yeardley explains, “How unnerving would it be to sing like Michael Jackson in front of Michael Jackson?”

Jennifer Aniston’s first tattoo is in “homage” to her recently deceased dog

The hound loving actress – who starred in canine calamity movie ‘Marley and Me’ in 2008 – has had the name of her beloved pet of 15 years, Norman, tattooed on the inside of her right foot.

Explaining the inking on TV show Entertainment Tonight Canada, she said: “That’s my dog. My baby who just passed away. “I never thought that would ever happen. It’s just my way to pay homage to him – forever.” Norman, a Welsh corgi-terrier mix, accompanied Jennifer, 42, everywhere, including on film location shoots, but he passed away in May due to complications from his old age.

The star – who is currently dating actor Justin Theroux, but has been unlucky in love in the past – has previously stated she wished some of the men in her life had shared some of Norman’s characteristics. She said: “It wouldn’t be bad if, when a man comes home, he’d run to his woman with his tail wagging. This sort of excitement is something I’ve always missed in a man.” Norman is survived by Jennifer’s other pooch, a white German Shepherd named Dolly.

Paris Hilton’s mother is “heartbroken” over her split from Cy Waits

The socialite called time on her relationship with nightclub owner Cy after 18 months last week, leaving her mother, Kathy, upset for them both.

Speaking about Cy, She told the E! news service: “He really is an angel. I do adore him. My heart is broken. That’s why I don’t like getting close to the boyfriends because they become like a part of the family.”

Kathy added she has advised her eldest daughter – who split with Cy as he couldn’t handle her celebrity lifestyle – not to look for anther boyfriend, and instead concentrate on spending some quality time with her family.

She added: “I think it’s very hard to be with somebody that’s in the limelight when you’re really not into that. “The thing is, she goes from one boyfriend to the next. I think she will be single for a while. I told her, you need girlfriend time right now and family time. We don’t need to just put a Band-Aid on this.”

Kathy is also a huge fan of traditional family values, and was left shocked when a few months ago Paris, 30, told her she thought she may be pregnant with Cy’s baby.

She explained: “It was very emotional. For my children, I dreamed of the wedding first and then children. “I’m a traditional girl. I met my husband at 15, got married at 19, got pregnant a year later and then had three children after that.”

Kim Kardashian’s engagement has taken “pressure” off her sister Kourtney

The 30-year-old socialite is planning her wedding to Kris Humphries, who she has been dating for six months, and admits her elder sibling – who has 18-month-old-son Mason with partner Scott Disick – is particularly pleased about the nuptials because there is no longer so much focus on her own relationship.

Tom Hanks has “great respect” for Julia Roberts

The actor-turned-director was delighted when the ‘Pretty Woman’ actress agreed to star in his latest film ‘Larry Crowne’ – which follows a struggling man who falls for a public-speaking teacher – because he is such a big fan of her work.

He said: “I really like her and have great respect for her and I called her up and asked if she would be interested in playing the part and if she could have faith in me as a director. Fortunately she said yes.”

Tom has been working on ‘Larry Crowne’ for three years and admits it is much harder being a director than an actor.

He explained: “Acting is like a vacation compared with the workload a director has.

“Also, the skill sets are totally different because an actor really only has to show people what he’s thinking while a director has to start having meetings eight months before the first day of shooting and continues having meetings nine months after it’s all over and you’re constantly explaining, begging, asking.

“It’s like an actor is a dog running through a park while a director is a dog trying to herd 6,000 sheep over Cattleman’s Pass. It’s a lot of work.”

The ‘Parachute’ hitmaker is said to be “hugely intrigued” by a suggestion from her ex-husband Ashley Cole – who was dumped by the Girls Aloud beauty after revelations he cheated on her during their four-year marriage – that he moves to play for a European soccer team and she joins him for a more relaxed pace of life.

A source said: “Ashley has told friends he sees his future abroad and he wants to persuade Cheryl to come with him.

“It all boils down to what Cheryl wants, but the early signs are she would be up for the idea.

“She’s found living in the UK to be fraught especially with so much ‘negativity’ towards her now.

“But abroad, she could lead her life at her own pace. That’s appealing to say the least.”

Ashley is also said to be planning to buy new rings for himself and Cheryl – who was sensationally sacked from the US ‘X Factor’ after just a few weeks – to signify a “new start” if she agrees to his plans.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It’s a lovely gesture that he thinks she will really appreciate. A lot has happened over the last few years which they are determined to draw a line under.”

While Cheryl’s family and friends are said to be furious that she is considering reuniting with Ashley, the soccer star’s mother Sue backs the reconciliation.

An insider explained: “Sue consoled her broken son after Cheryl left him and was very unhappy at the time. But she’s embraced the idea of the two of them getting back together.

“She knows Cheryl was good for Ashley and has nothing but nice things to say about her because she makes him happy and is the most important thing in Ash’s life bar his sport.”

The highs and lows of the 52-year-old singer’s phenomenal career – which has spanned almost 30 years – will be encapsulated in a 32-page graphic novel produced by publishers Bluewater Productions Inc. as part of their ‘Female Force’ series, which has previously featured the likes of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, Sarah Palin and Barbara Walters.

Jason Schultz, executive vice president of Bluewater, said: “Our goal is to show the little-known events and influences that resulted in Madonna becoming the phenomenon she remains to this day, more than a quarter-century after she burst upon the scene.

“A visual medium provides perspective that is not only accessible but more relatable to the average person without losing any of the information involved.”

Penned by C.W. Cooke and drawn by Michael Johnson, the comic book is due for release in August.

Cooke added: “Most pop stars owe everything to this woman. It’s amazing all of the things that she’s done in her lifetime, and I have a feeling that this is still only the beginning.”

Cameron Diaz believes the perfect breast should be able to fit inside a “champagne glass”

The actress is glad she has a modest but “pert” chest because her mother told her that very large breasts are not the best.

In an interview with German magazine TV Movie, she said: “I have to admit that I like my breast to be firm and pert. My mother always told me that the perfect breast fits into a champagne glass. I found that cool and was happy that my breast stayed small.”

Although she is content with her cleavage now, Cameron admits when she was younger she envied the massive chest of her grandmother

She added: “Back in the day I always wanted the giant breasts of my grandma … Many women think you need large breasts, but I’m the living proof that you can go far with small ones.”

However, Cameron would not rule out ever having a boob job – which is the ambition of her character Elizabeth Halsey in new comedy movie ‘Bad Teacher’ – if she felt her breasts needed a boost.

Speaking about whether she’d ever go under the knife to improve her assets, she said: “So far I’m quite happy with what I have. It’s not that much but I have some really effective push up bras. But I would never say never, of course. Maybe one day, if I don’t like them anymore.”

Justin Bieber — Clash w/ Undercover Cop

A member of Justin Bieber’s personal security team was cited for disorderly conduct today after the singer had a frightening run-in with an undercover cop in NYC … but it was all one MAJOR misunderstanding.

Bieber was signing autographs outside of Macy’s when the crowd became unruly … and a plainclothes police officer rushed to help the singer.

Problem is — Bieber didn’t know the guy was a cop — so when the cop got close to Justin … Bieber got defensive thinking he was a crazy fan. A member of Bieber’s security team immediately grabbed the cop and tried to pull him away.

The cop quickly identified himself — and cited the security team member for disorderly conduct.

But this story has a happy ending … sources connected to the situation tell us both sides straightened everything out — and Bieber is still signing autographs inside the department store.

Paris Hilton plans to launch her own hotel and beach club chain

The 30-year-old socialite – whose great-grandfather Conrad Hilton founded the world-famous Hilton hotel chain in 1925 – has been involved in a range of business adventures, including her own perfumes, footwear, and clothing lines and endorsing a nightclub chain, but is now keen to branch out into real estate.

She said: “The next step for me is to be more involved with real estate. I’d love to open my own hotel and beach clubs. I’m actually in the process right now of doing that, so I’m excited.”

The blonde heiress – who split from nightclub mogul Cy Waits earlier this week after around 18 months of dating – is used to living her life in the spotlight but dreams of being able to go to her favourite theme parks without being bothered.

She told Parade.com: “The paparazzi are always there, but it’s something I’ve gotten used to. It’s something I’ve had to deal with for 15 years now, so I try to lead as normal life as possible. I don’t like having big bodyguards around me all the time unless I’m working. I like going to the market and doing normal things.

“If I could go unnoticed for a day, I’d go to Disneyland! I’m a kid at heart so I love going to amusement parks and playing games and going on rides. I would also love to go to the beach in Maui and not have to worry about paparazzi hiding in the bushes.”

Katy Perry taped her breasts down until she was 19

The ‘Firework’ singer prayed for big breasts when she was younger, but admits she didn’t “understand” her body and tried to hide what have since become her two most famous assets.

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, she said: “God answered [my] prayer above and beyond, by, like, 100 times, until I was like, ‘Please, stop, God. I can’t see my feet anymore. Please stop!’

“I was a lot more rectangular then. I didn’t understand my body. So, what I did was, I started taping them down. How long did I tape them down for? Probably until I was about 19. And, no, I don’t have any psychological pain because of it.”

Now she has made it in the music business, Katy has turned her attention to politics and is calling for “revolutionary change” in the US.

The 26-year-old pop star – who was born in Santa Barbara, California -added: “It just feels like the thing running our country (America) is a bank, money. I know it sounds like an intense viewpoint, but I’m only slowly but surely getting the wool taken off my eyes.

“I think we are largely in desperate need of revolutionary change in the way our mindset is. Our priority is fame, and people’s wellness is way low. I saw this knowing full well that I’m a part of the problem. I’m playing the game, though I am trying to reroute.

“Anyway, not to get all politically divulging and introspective, but the fact that America doesn’t have free health care drives me f***ing absolutely crazy, and is so wrong.”
